"We're feeling good and up for dancing!" playlist.
Posted 2 years agoWe'll have ourselves a fine spring and a fine harvest and a fine little dance.
"It's almost spring but it's still cold" playlist.

We'll get through this. I promise.

The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel.
Posted 3 years agoMost likely returning here for the future.
I'll post more playlists and go back to commissioning art every so often and probably not talk much. Maybe.
I do of course enjoy chatting and talking about weird music, so feel free to message me.
Good luck to the rest of you in navigating the post-shitbird internet.
Post GY!BE memes.

Having not posted playlists in a long while --
Posted 3 years agoHere's a playlist of music that will not explain my long absence but will provide you with some estimates as to my non-whereabouts.
I'll try to do these more often.

Invaders Never Goddamn Die.
Posted 6 years agoKeith Flint. You fucking legend. Tried to do my hair in a double-hawk like you in middle school and looked like an absolute ninny. Might not have been the greatest fashion direction for a tween, but goddamn did you set right musically.
"The Going to MFF Playlist!"
Posted 7 years agoSo I'm going to MFF. For those of you who know me, I am looking forward to seeing you, hanging out, drinking, and going to party our asses off. I'm staying at a hotel off-site but I intend to hang around the convention center until I need to sleep or randomly step out for food.
For those of you who want to meet up, hit me up or looked for the weird 'hawked dude who looked like he stepped off a cybergoth technofuture alien spacecraft from the set of the movie Blade Runner as filmed in 2090 on Mars. Harrison Ford's head is in an airtight sealed jar.
So now here's some music I've been listening to and will be listening to.

"Your Playlists Just Get Worse and Worse" playlist.
Posted 7 years agoI would tell you to check out my spotify if I wasn't dumb as bricks.
But you're here for the porn and this is convenient enough and spotify doesn't have dicks.
(do yourself a serious favor and just listen to the whole album of Laurie Anderson + The Kronos Quartet)

Songs for the new year.
Posted 7 years agoBecause of the way the world moves, and because there is plenty of lessons and resolutions that I imagine we'll try to absorb with every vodka tonic, manhattan, absinthe, leading up to the ultimate champagne at midnight, have some chill. This year, life needs to move from the dance floor to the chillout room.
Here's a list of tunes to help emphasize that philosophy; taken from various genres.
Special fucking mention:
Whatever you've been through, wherever you're going, I wish you luck and all the love in the world. None of this is easy, and on the first night of the next year, let us take a deep breath, let that champagne settle in our churning stomachs and feel a sense of certainty that whatever this year brings, we'll do it right this time.

"Elliott Smith will save your life."
Posted 8 years agoFor those who weren't into the indie rock/pop scene in the early millennium, there may be a songwriter they may have missed. And no, I promise this isn't my usual list of unlistenable music, but something far quieter.
If you haven't introduced yourself to Elliott Smith, by all means, let me give you a few songs that helped me through some rough times between the car and the squathouses long ago and far away as well as some new favorites I later found. An impactful yet ever intimate discography from a very intense and brilliant young artist come and gone too soon.

Futurepop for raiders and lovers.
Posted 8 years agoWhile raiding in GW2, I have found myself going to futurepop as a way to supplement the lack of new tunes in the Bastion of the Penitent boss encounters. Something upbeat and hi-energy. Here's a few things that I have found that keep me pumped and able to keep going.
The "Enemies of the People" Playlist.
Posted 8 years agoYou'll need something to listen to while prepping for those marches and screaming your lungs out. Something to pump you up! Here's a little playlist to pump you up and excite you for the coming purges.
Noise Music for Nihilists.
Posted 8 years agoHave you found yourself in the past week trying to express a feeling of impotent rage and found yourself unable to truly find a soundtrack that expresses your deep sense of loathing and impending doom? Do you wish to listen to music that divorces itself from any pretense of 'beats per minute', key, the circle of flats, tonality, and pop influences? Does the sound of chainsaws and distortion pedals trigger your ASMR?
Have I got a list for you.
Your ears will thank you.
