So a few things have come up. BestBuy is dragging their feet still even with the legal actions being taken. So, it’s apparent I’m going to be on this old desktop for quite awhile which presents a few issues. The video card on this PC is terribly underpowered to run a screen of this caliber. Video games are out of the question, and even normal windows/desktop activities lag visually. For those who say just turn the screen res down I tired that and it looks bloody AWFUL. So, with the 6800 having died, I found another cheap AGP video card on newegg I want to get. Even with the new card I’m eyeing I still wont be able to do anything graphic intensive, its just so I can make this thing not lag overall. Examples include not being able to play flash content very well, lagging in Sketchbook pro when the canvas gets larger, the screensaver crashing sometimes, random lockups when I have a video playing, etc.

Sooooo, I’m opening up 5 spots for $10. Which will get you one char and base color. This will cover the cost for the videocard. As you can tell it’s a really low end one, but its better than this 8+ year old ATI. I’m not a pop fur or Da Vinci but I try! Plz halp a poor wufferz! DX

This is the last straw. Tomorrow we're going to the store to threaten legal action. Push comes to shove, we'll just have to go to court and sue them. I've talked to some friends and they said this would often leave to you being banned form the stores. So once we get the money from the law suit I'm just going to build my own. I've had it with retail.

Just finished up fawk ton of school work and I’m taking a brake. Over the years I’ve made some promises of drawing a few people and while I’ve done a few, theres still a lot more. I have made an official list, but its in my back up drive atm and I don’t feel like digging around in a Terabyte of Data using Windows XP’s slooooooooooow ass search tool, so heres what I remember off the top of my head:

Quick updates:
-Yes I have been drawing, just mainly sketching. With the main computer out its been hard to make complete drawings, since it lags. It wasn't made to run a 1920x1200 screen, so it even struggles with regular window stuff.
-The Dell came back and died on the GeekSquad when they were testing it, so they sent t back again. They said for reals this time they are going to do the replacement PC. Just more time right? Man I've been with out a good computer for like 2 months now >.<
-School has started up again, so I may be distant for awhile.

Yeah I'm still around, I went to Bestbuy to ask whats up with the comp since I haven't been called or getting any emails with updates. They said yeah they looking at it and it will be a few more weeks. Great.

Trying to get back in the art grove. This old Vaio struggles tho at the high res drawing area at times as well, lagging the canvas. Gaming is also out of the question since the 6800 I had in here also died a few weeks ago.

So I wanted to play a few rounds of CoDMW2 while I waited for a friend to finish up something and the moment I entered a round, screen went neon colors and the comp locked up :\

This would be mark number 3. Thankfully I still have that 3 year plan on it so I'll be bringing it back to the store in the morning. I'm really going to hammer on them to give me a replacement computer or something, I reformatted the hard drive and re-installed windows to see if it would help, it did for awhile but still crapped out. I don't know if their stock of replacement parts are tainted or what...

Soooo, yeah, I guess computers just hate me. Not good since I use them for pretty much everything.

Now a little disclaimer and fine print lol I want everyone to know I'm not a hateful person going after attacking the admins for no reason, I have seen time and again Dragoner act like a power drunken twat. Now I will admit people in power will often act like this and a few times here and there is understandable. But the FA admins, I have to say of any site I have used are like sharks attacking without blood, this needs to be corrected.

All art has been placed on hold, I've backup what I was doing onto my external drive and I'm just going to sit it out until my main computer comes back. Not going to risk the 'ops' moment where I can't even get the screen working on start up. Happened already, thankfully it did start working again on the 2nd try.

So once again I will be disappearing, for realz this time, since I don't have a backup for the backup computer.

I Checked with BestBuy and they said they just got the new card for it, so I'm hopping a week or less.

Got some good news on the main comp. Apparently the Geek Squad website is really messed up, it has been telling me my computer has been in shipment for almost 2 weeks now. When in reality, when I visited to store today to ask WTF, it was overnight-ed air shipped and is waiting for its new parts now. So while its still going to be awhile until I have it again, at least it wont be 'too' much longer. So then it will be back to L4D and hardly any art! :D lol I hope not x3~

Is there a hot-key for making the brush sizes smaller and larger, like in Photoshop and other recent apps. I would love to put this Intous4 dial to good use, but after looking through the manual and online help I didn't see any. Is there in fact any? Or another way of making the tablet driver to make use of the brush properties re-sizer tool? Thankz xP

So yeah, I had to ship in my main comp back in to get its video card replaced yet again, so I swiped back my 8 year old Vaio desktop I gave to my mom to use, until my XPS is shipped back in a month or so. I reinstalled windows on it and everything is fresh installed, but toying around on an older PC sure does show xP Of course this had to happen during a major steam gaming event......just great.

Last I check this baby can in fact run Left 4 Dead at everything at the lowest settings possible...so not all is lost I guess x.x

So yay I'm still here! pray for my computer in the shop, and pray that this old one holds together until then XP

So less than a year after my first 9800GT died, the replacement one has died. So I'm probably going to be gone for awhile, just a heads up.

as noted in my last journal, the inotus4 loves nibs like a fat kid eats cake. So I'm thinking I might open a few commissions slots just so I can buy a few more packs of nibs, particularly the hard felt ones, so i can in fact continue to draw xP I don't know about how to get payments tho, so I'll have to look into that later...

cus' now its time for moar SLEEP!

So I got my Intous4 Large about a week ago or so and have been toying around with it. Over all its pretty nice. The pen and nibs feel great. The hard felt nib feels like just drawing on paper. So why haven't I been posting new art? Portal 2! oh and school...yeah, should be working more on that haha

So heres my Mr. McSpeedy Review of the Intous4 (L):

Pros':
-Very comfortable: Says right on the box EXTREME COMFORT, which I always get a laugh from. ARE YOU RELAXED? CUS' I AM! The surface isn't pure plastic like my old tablet so my sweaty paws dont affect drawing any more. Yay for fun Taka body facts x3
-Widescreen Ratio: Its made for 16:10 screens which I now have, and its awesome to work with ;D
-Quick keys: Or shortcut buttons, what ever they are called. My last tablet didn't have any so their totally new to me. I still find my self reaching for the keyboard a lot despite setting the buttons up. Sketchbook pro cant use the iPod like wheel, or so far I know. I do sometimes use it though when in grooveshark.
-Pen/stand: The pen feels great, and the stand is really nice. I like how you can put the pen both up or side ways.
-Nibs: The different nibs are pretty cool, something I thought I would like but it is pretty handy. As I said above theres a hard felt nib for paper pencil feel, and a spring nib which feels nice. You really gotta push down on that sucker to feel the affect but its still nice. Theres also the standard nibs and one other type I'm not sure what it is yet, its not even offered on the Wacom website.
-Mouse: Not sure yet, havent used it, but chances are its better then this Dell one I have haha
-Accessories: Cus' what fag doesn't like the accessorize! 8D Theres tons of stuff you can get for this thing. Their not cheap, but its cool to know you can pretty much make this thing replace any traditional hand paint tool with airbrushes, pen types and colors, and nib styles. You also get free software to use, which I still need to look into.

Now for the cons:
-Nib Wear: Since the tablet surface has a more paper rough eel to it, the nibs do wear down pretty fast. One up side to the plastic covering on my old tablet was the fact the nib never worn down. So its a trade off. Do you want to feel like you're drawing on paper or a hard piece of plastic?
-Size: This doesn't bother me a lot, in fact I like how it does have a good amount of extra space on the side to rest my hand here and there, but I do know for some it could be a issues. Bsascily take the 13 by 8 drawing space and add 2+ inches above and on the sides of tablet.
-Price: Since I am in school, I was able to get $100 taken off and didnt have to pay sales tax, but $400 is a big bang none the less. Even at full price, its still a pretty good deal for what you are getting, but had I not been able to get some much taken off I would have needed to wait awhile longer while I saved up.

Bottom line: Its great for any artist using digital media. Make you next tablet purchase this!


Also, if you haven't gotten Portal 2 (For the PC of course, or PS3 if you really HAVE to do console) its awesome! so get it asap haha I had my doubts of the game tbh, but after playing through it they pulled it off really well. Looking forward to the 3erd where you get to play as that scientist guy. Perhaps a prequel as well? We'll see.

Art wise I am working on a few things here and there, I hope to have them posted soon.

As it turns out, this new U2410 is so awesome I need to spend even more money to get a bigger tablet! 8D

No srly, I do. My 8 by 6 Graphire 3 isn't really cutting it for the 1200p widescreen aspect. The brush strokes are off and it 'feels' really odd and space constrained. So I'm eyeing the Large Intuos4 at the education discount price. This means art will be placed on hold for a bit while I wait for my grant check to come xP In which my school always takes forever to send out. Ad then I'll have to readjust to the new tablet. In the mean time I did have a good amount of WIP's in the mix so I may just post those until then.

But also, just throwing it out there, I have been getting a few request if I do commissions. I still have a lot of requests to draw and I have to get used to the new tech I'm getting, but how many of you would be interested if I did offer them? Just testing the waters so to speak.

So I haven't really updated my journal for awhile, which I like doing. Its always fun to look back on old journals and see what we were up to haha

School wise its been a pretty big mess. Needless to say, I wasn't doing that great the last quarter, took to many hard classes. So I went below the 2.0 average for that quarter. Let me stress this fact, THAT QUARTER. So because of this, the school found it reasonable to pull all my finical aid funding support. Despite me having on average 3.0+ quarterly grade averages and a cumulative GPA of 2.7+. Soooooo, if the aid doesn't go through, and this is my 3rd time trying to get it back (3rd times the charm right) I'm going to have to drop out. Fun fun, good to know my school doesn't believe in 2nd chances.

Gaming wise I recently bought F.E.A.R. 2. I have to say it is pretty fun. But I did notice it was banking on that Gears of War feel. The first F.E.A.R. imo is still better, but for F.E.A.R. fans it was pretty good. Been thinking I should perhaps do some 'furry' gaming reviews, perhaps with videos on youtube or something. I don't know, something to ponder.

Also, I tired streaming my desktop to do some drawing streams, but my CPU maxes out 100% the whole time. This makes the computer lag so badly I cant draw. So I don't know whats up with that, guess a 3ghz dual core, 6 gigs ram, and 30 MB cable internet cant do streaming. I don't know how well I would draw with an audience tho, since I often suck horribly in OC despite it being so fun xP

Oh and artz! I'm happy to report my latest drawing has gotten my most favs ever, so thats nice :3 and I'm happy with how the coloring came out so I'll be trying that more often. I am working on a few draws atm as well, so trying to make 2011 the most artful yet!

And concerning the birthday, its not until May haha Heres a hint, its the F.3.A.R. UK release date. So happy early Beef Dayz to meh *flex flex*

As of late I've constantly been getting error messages when ever I try to talk with people. For some, they cant even contact me at all or I appear online when I'm really not. This has been happening for the past few days and it seems to not just be happing to me.
