Hi, Furaffinity!
Posted 12 years agoHello there!
If you've been fortunate enough to stumble upon my oh-so-sexy (kidding!) userpage, and find yourself at all intrigued, I'll just have this quick little journal up for the time being. Just a bit about myself and why I'm here.
Even though I'm new to the community itself, when I look back on my childhood, and my life so far in general, I find that I've had furry tendencies from a rather young age. It was only in the past one year or so, however that I've truly discovered how far these tendencies go. You could call me a lifestyler, insofar that being a furry means more to me than simply being in a fandom (checking out art and such, although of course that's nice as well). It goes beyond that; for me, this is all about connecting with something that humans seem to have lost at some point. It's about understanding and bettering myself through an animal identity. It means being able to distance myself a tad from some of the more destructive and negative aspects of human existence. Keep in mind, this doesn't have to mean actually *acting* like an animal (and I'm not into fursuiting at all, although I'll admit, I do display some characteristics of a spotted hyena); it's about learning more about myself, really, and enjoying the company (and work, if they happen to be artists) of like-minded people.
So there you have it. That's it for now, but I may update this journal later, if anything worth mentioning comes up.
