Hoping to get this page up and going again! Soon I should be posting some artwork I've gotten recently.

So last weekend I attended my first furry convention, Texas Furry Fiesta. Coming into it, I was expecting that I would enjoy myself, but never expecting that it would be life changing! For one I was expecting a different atmosphere, just one with a lot of awkward waves and just standing on the side watching the fun. I was wrong. I felt like I belonged there, and felt like I had been missing out on a lot the past few years! As a lot of you know I'm fairly new to the fandom, having joined it through Facebook about five years ago, but not really getting involved with anything until last year. What a lot of you don't know is I have had doubts about being in the fandom. There are a lot of stereotypes that I would rather not be involved in or grouped with. In my younger schooling years I was a very very judgmental person, and had a lot to say about things and people I didn't like. Well, I feel like I'm on the other side of it now, and I'm not gonna lie, it makes me very uncomfortable sometimes. I have even considered giving up on the fandom all together, never speaking of it or having anything to do with it again. HOWEVER, this convention I went to opened up my eyes more than I ever thought they could be opened. I have learned that this fandom isn't just something I want to stay in, but I want to get MORE involved. I was able to go to a few panels that really told some truth about some stereotypes and I saw some amazing statistics that blew apart some myths about the fandom, BUT that wasn't even the best part. I realized that people are people. People in the fandom are just like people outside the fandom. They are going to have their interests, their beliefs, and their opinions. It's always going to contradict someone else. It's not really much different than the world we live in. The furry fandom is my thing, and it shouldn't be something I have to shove to the side because of how other people feel about it, or heck, even how I feel about it sometimes. It's part of who I am, and I look forward to seeing how it will be a part of who I'll be!

So now that I'm on this website officially, I realize that I have free range to go and favorite art and write journals (like im doing now LOL) but then I realize... I'M AT COLLEGE! Dx I have the potential to waste SO much time on this site! but is it time wasted? i think it's time well used ;) but anyways, with the addition of skyrim to my game library recently... my priorities are going to be all out of whack v__v what to do???
