I have a bunch of uber simple hand puppets in the design phase right now. First batch should be little "rawr" monster types.

Hello minions!

Last night I left my shell and did a bit of puppeteering. I'm SO not used to doing any acting aspects for the craft, so it was a heart pounding experience; but a good one!
I have some time today, so I'm jumping on an owed mask, a trade piece, and hopefully will have the time to start on more puppet designs too.

Firstly I want to apologize for lack of updates. Since October I have been quite busy with the day job(s), so art has come to a grinding halt. Crossing fingers that the situation is going to improve soon.

Second, I want to attempt something silly and different for December. I'm going to try and upload one photo per day of TwoTone's escapades for the month; that creature sure does love the holidays!

As it fast aproaches, I find myself rushing about in preparation for All Hallows' Eve.
This year, I shall be helping perform GIANT puppets in the NYC Village Halloween Parade! If you're watching on the street, marching in the parade, or streaming the festivities from the comfort of home, keep an eye out for the characters of The Nightmare Before Christmas; I will be amongst them dressed as my character, TwoTone!

I'm not sure how or if I can take pictures, but I'm definitely going to try something!

What are everyone else's plans for Halloween this year?

Greetings, my minions!

Since sharing pictures of the completed Magikarp plush prop, I've had many inquiries from people wanting to have their own lifesized derp-fish.
Unfortunately I do not have the time to make one for everyone.
What I will do is make just one more lifesized plush and auction it off after Halloween. Start price will not be cheap, so brace yourselves.

As for the rest of the month, I am booked solid with preparations and attending the NYC Halloween Parade. I'll be assisting with performances this year, so keep an eye out for The Nightmare Before Christmas congregation; don't be afraid to say hi! TwoTone will be tagging along with the denizens of Halloweentown too, so look for the dancing stripes!

Beyond All Hallows Eve, I will be working on an array of projects and updating all my art pages with work that's been completed over the year.

Whelp...discovered what leaked all over the workroom floor. One container for the two part mix dragonskin silicone exploded. No idea how, but it did.
So much cleaning to do now... ;____;

It's been ages since I've cleaned out the workshop, and holy hell do I have a ton of supplies!
I think I can officially say I sleep, eat, and breathe art @___@

Hello and g'day, ladies, gents and minions! Welcome and much love to all my new watchers too!

It's been awhile since we had an audience together, and I do apologize for the long absence.
Just stepping in to let you all know I am, indeed, alive!

First and foremost, my health has been in shambles for many months now; I won't bore anyone with the details. Don't worry though, I'm slowly, but surely on my way to recovery. HUGE thanks to / for helping me find foods to eat and balance out my new diet.

Secondly, I have been dealing with excessive amounts of grief since last October. My friend  Kaeko, an old classmate, and most recently my neighbor who was like an older brother to me; they have all passed away. The losses have rattled my world a bit, and have unfortunately aided with the depressing lows I've been unable to shake.

Thirdly, my living situation has consistently gone from bad to worse. I'm in the process of making changes to eliminate that problem, but the progress has been far slower than I'd like.

There are plenty of updates on the way, and I will be editing this journal to let you all know what's up.

PS - To the FA user who is consistently stalking and bothering my friend Tush and myself, grow up and get a life. You're 30-something years old, start acting like it.

First and foremost, that was extremely childish of you to block me when I was trying to have a civil discussion with you.

To be frank, TwoTone and your monsters do not look alike; not even in their basic style of presentation.
TwoTone is a flexible, nearly jointless, shape shifting, egg-headed, rabbit/snake/boar/octopus creature that's asymmetrical, with dainty clawed hands & feet, a flat masculine chest, shapely feminine rump & thighs, covered with hearts.
Your creatures have recognizable human based anatomy, human like hands & feet, with a head that resembles a cartoon dinosaur.

I have never once had anyone mistake me for you until now, conveniently its over a mask that was made by your ex friend (which I don't understand your logic to drag them into this discussion). Perhaps my subconscious decided to splice Jack Skellington and a stripe covered sandworm when Two appeared in my dreams. Regardless, you're still clearly going to keep assuming what you will and saying this and that are convenient.

The elusive Tak actually ventured out of its hovel to socialize!

My closet-fur friend, Teh Angie Monstah, wanted to see what this con was about so I made a quick run before dashing back to the day job.
Had a really fun time catching up with the lovely Nevask and shoeless Poprock, chatting it up with different vendors, catching a music act, and sharing my puppet work.

Gotta love all the people who ditch websites again and again.

I especially like the one story where this guy ran away from FA because he supposedly was disgusted with the amount of porn on this site (even though he too was a porn artist). He fled to DA and "started fresh", now strictly drawing suggestive MLP pieces. It eventually changed to what's basically kiddie porn of the younger MLP characters, and now flocked back to FA to post it here instead.
But hey, he's a "really good artist" who clearly gets anatomy, and he's popular so its okay, right? I wonder if it makes things worse knowing he's dating someone IRL who's half his age and falling into the jailbait area...

Or how about the other one who made a big scene and "left" but keeps posting, commenting, faving begging for handouts, and stalking people?
Really making a bold statement practicing what you preach there, dude

Its sad and a bit pathetic when you see a decent artist waste their time and tallent; instantly jumping on a bandwagon purely to make quick money. On this website I'm talking specifically about "new 'original' species".
Its REALLY not that hard to come up with something yourself for profit. Getting that product noticed is also not that difficult, as long as you put effort into promoting yourself.

I installed addblocks ages ago and haven't seen any of these new adds everyone's talking about, but I'm really not okay with IMVU's policies for our posted artwork. Hence why my page is now a WiP dumping ground. I'm not leaving, but I post a lot more content to other sites.

For anyone who's curious about my absence: my health has been absolutely atrocious, day job has me working more hours, and I've been going crazy trying to find an apartment.

You can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink, so the saying goes.

One can hope for people to change for the better. Seeing them repeat the same mistakes over and over again (after you've been asked for advice to fix the problem), makes you question if they want to truly change and improve their lives in the first place.
I don't see how it's acceptable to address your commissioning audience and give them excuses as to why you can't finish their work. Then, turn around posting your own personal fun-time pieces without expecting someone to get upset. Finally, to tell the audience that you will now only take money up front for commissions, when you have a terrible history of not finishing work or forgetting commissions all together, is absolutely ludicrous.
If you want to make art your only income, act like a professional and take your work AND customers seriously. This is your job and your responsibility so letting valiant white-knights step in to "speak on your behalf" makes YOU come across as immature, dodgy, and irresponsible to any potential clients.

Since speaking your mind openly leads to uninformed fools coming out of the woodwork to make invalid assumptions, let me give a blunt summary of this journal:
