Wondering why it's so long between stories?
Or why no new costume pictures are up?

Well, the second one's because the last one I finished, the guy hasn't sent me any pictures. Dammit.

The first is because I'm busy, and the complete lack of feedback makes it hard to get the motivation to keep writing when I do have ten minutes or so.

Let me expand on that one. I know at least a few people read what I write. Less than 20, from what I can tell. And that's depressing to me. Worse, is that none of those people has ever left a comment, sent a note, or shouted. It leaves me wondering whether anyone even wants to see another chapter of Marian, or if I should just stop writing it, because there's no one reading.

I've got four orders totaling six pieces and approximately $400. When I get closer to done with those, I'll open up for more orders.

I'm itching to know how FC went. Specifically, how did Anthro View #1 sell? Was it a good read? And... yeah. Just not very patient when I want feedback. Immediate gratification, damn it!

There are three important factors to consider for my costume pieces.
One - Fabric type.

Two - Design

Tunics can be had with or without a hood, in one or two base colors. Colors available will depend on the fabric chosen.

If there's something you want that isn't here, let me know, and we'll see if I can do it. These are just the basic, standard items I do most often.

Applique is just a way of adding designs and personalization to your item. It can range from monogramming up to complex trim and personalization. For the most part, if you can either show me a picture or describe it well, I can put it on fabric.

Lining is the stuff that goes on the inside of the garment. I can use either more of the same material, or specific lining materials, which vary widely. Broadcloth is a fairly inexpensive choice for lining.

I add a flat rate of $5/hr for labor. Less than minimum wage, and WAY less than I make at my regular job. All of the cost for things like thread, interfacing, needles and other materials comes out of this cost, too, so in the end, I really don't make a whole lot of profit.

Three - Payment and Shipping

I won't start working on anything until I have money in hand. I can't. For one thing, I have to go buy the fabric. The most I can do prior to payment is getting a sketch and measurements down, so I know how much I need. Paypal works fine, and faster than a check, but I'll take mailed funds as well.

I get a discount with FedEx so shipping prices and transit time will be fairly low, for most of you.

SO! If you want custom, hand made stuff, drop me a message. Let me know what you want, and I'll tell you the measurements I need, and we can get a price worked out. Keep in mind that the ABSOLUTE highest price you could be paying is $180 plus shipping, and that's waaaay more than I expect anyone to want to pay. I expect the average cost to be in the $50 to $80 range.

I have extra fleece left over. This sounds like a cue to make a few scarves to sell.

WarBar's tunic is a pile of cut fleece, with sewing started. Probably finish that one tomorrow. A few in-progress pics, hopefully, detail stuff like seam construction and such, as well as finished, on the customer pictures when I deliver this weekend.

Puddin's heraldry, I need to pick up Steam-a-seam from Jo-Anns before continuing.

Phaelious' shield, I need to pick up buckles from Tandy before I can continue.

Aside from the imminent end of Marian, Chapter 5 - Party Fouls, I will soon be expanding into photos of my costume work. I may, if I get my project list cleaned up, consider taking garb commissions.

I know a lot of people would be interested in a custom made fleece hoodie or hooded tunic. Trust me, they're wonderfully warm, and I do quality work. This stuff has to survive boffer fighting and rough use, so crappy stitching and cheater solutions are just not an option.

On the long term to-make list is a full kitsune fursuit, though I won't be doing mascot style. However advanced those have become, I just don't like the look of them. So, form fitting and as sleek as possible for the fursuit layer, and then I get to experiment with developing costumes that fit comfortably over the suit.

I've found a few good tutorials that fit what i want to do, especially for the head. The hands are still giving me trouble, but I have a while to figure it out before the actual construction begins.
