Funny, I don't feel older (what a cliche) but I guess that's just how it goes. To be honest I've not really celebrated any birthday since my 18th, and possibly my 21st... So my 26th isn't going to be anything special, haha. Next big milestone I guess will be when I'm 30? Now that -is- worth celebrating.

Well thanks to someone bringing it to my attention, I've noticed I'm not too far off hitting that "benchmark". Not really doing anything for it (though if you DO get a screenshot of that moment I'd be grateful... POSSIBLY I'll give you the option to appear in a future commission, if you'd want to?) but what I'd like to say is a big "thank you" to everyone!

Always nice to know there's plenty other freaks out there who like the kind of stuff I get commissioned, though as always be sure to thank the wonderful, talented artists as well! Here's to 100K and hopefully, in due course, lots more lovely stuff to feast your eyes upon~

After spending forever going through the answers you all gave (okay, about quarter of an hour) I can finally reveal who won! Well it certainly turned out that the tie-break was needed, as about three or four people each had 5 out of 7 questions answered correctly, though oddly enough not the same ones each time! What I AM glad to say is that between you all you got every single question right, so well done everyone; give yourself a pat on the back.

Secondly, on to what you've all been waiting for... The answers! Now, obviously the previous journal entry is closed (I've taken note of the time) so no going back and entering yourself after you've read this, you cheeky bastards. The most important thing to remember here is that no-one actually won, as far as I can remember. WHAT THIS MEANS is that the person who got closest (or gave the best answer to the tie-breaker in the case of a draw) will win the Super Fan-Dabby-Doozy Prize. I haven't had time to figure out who that is yet, but what I'll do is write up the answers (and why they're right) and then I'll update this journal with an edit as to who won.

Now, without further ado:

Q) How do you pronounce "vase"?
A) /va:z/ if you're using the phonetic alphabet, or "vars" if you're approximating. Basically not "vays" or anything like that; that just sounds incredibly pretentious and is, of course, plain wrong.

Q) How do you make a cup of tea? Briefly write out the instructions.
A) Now, I know some of you will complain, but I DID say how do you make a cup of tea. Not a pot you'll notice, but a cup. In order to make a cup of tea you put a teabag in a cup, add sugar if desired, pour in boiling water, let it brew, remove the teabag, and then add the milk. There is no "if" with adding milk, you damn well add it. Also, the correct amount of sugar is one teaspoon, no more, no less.

Q) Pants or socks first?
A) Pants first. Socks first is ludicrous, and makes you look like an absolute fool. Also, if somehow there's a fire the very moment you've put on one item of clothing, you'd much rather be in your pants than in your socks when you make your escape from burny death. Americans upset over the definition of pants needn't be, because you're wrong in calling trousers pants. There is no such thing as American English; there is English, and there are mistakes.

Q) What is the proper way to write the date?
A) Hardy har at anyone being a smartarse and writing "the date" or somesuch. Points have actually been deducted from you at the assumption that I'd try to be a smartarse to catch you out; I don't need to use trickery to ensure most of you would answer incorrectly. Once again I'm afraid our American friends tend to have gone MM/DD/YY, when clearly it should be DD/MM/YY; it is the 20th of October today, not October 20th. The second way is just lazy, and plain wrong. Also, DD.MM.YY would be fine but having four digits for the year is not acceptable; the convention is three sets of two digits, not two sets of two and one set of four. If you're talking about something in the past that would require the full year to be written, you don't write it shorthand, you take the time to write out the full date. For example: 14 October 1066, not 14/10/66 or worse 14/10/1066.

Q) What is this a picture of?
A) It was a picture of an aubergine. Not an eggplant, an aubergine. We don't need people confusing stupid children into believing that it's where eggs come from, and it was known as an aubergine long before being mistakenly called an eggplant. Bloody colonists re-naming things we have perfectly good names for already.

Q) Who was the best Captain of the Enterprise?
A) I'm glad so many people got this right, as it was of course Captain Jean-Luc Picard. You can argue otherwise, but put simply you'd be wrong. Also, popular opinion for once is actually right, so it's not just me telling you you're wrong but in fact most people.

Q) What do you eat with jelly?
A) Custard. Also acceptable is Ice-Cream, though that's pushing it. If you don't know what jelly is, or bizarrely decided the word "jam" wasn't good enough for you, then tough; stop re-naming things we have perfectly good names for already.

Tie break:

Q) What religion is right?
A) This one was a bit harder, as honestly there isn't a single right answer but rather a selection I would've accepted. The top answer is of course "none of them" and variants thereof. I'm not actually accepting Atheism as an answer because, as you should know, Atheism isn't a religion. I would also have accepted "Islam" if you live in an area where any other answer would have put you at a serious health risk. For instance: West London.

RIGHT.

Those are the answers. If you don't like them, you're more than happy to discuss why below, but just remember you're still wrong. Just feeling a little tired of getting questions asked via notes, reading them, not replying straight away, and then forgetting to reply altogether. Oops.

As many, many people have pointed out to me (as if I didn't notice) or simply commented on, Talash doesn't really have a set gender. This is somewhat intentional, but it's not something I meant to happen.

Unsurprisingly, IRL I am a male. I identify wholly with being such, and I'm pretty sure anyone you talk to who knows me personally will tell you there's not much chance of me being mistaken for anything else! So, why all this "gender-bending" I hear you ask (or at least some of you)?

Why? Simply put; I enjoy it. I've always enjoyed the idea of people subverting the mainstream, questioning tradition and in some cases going out of their way to challenge ideals and examples that only exist "because that's how it is". I guess that goes hand-in-hand with my love of 80s music (glam especially) but it's not something I myself really do. Sure, I'm a guy in a homosexual relationship who's not particularily camp. I don't fit many stereotypes, and I certainly don't try to "fit in with the crowd", but at the same time I'm hardly a rebel.

I guess what I'm saying is that I love seeing Talash drawn in different ways, from anthro to "feral", from cartoony to more monsterous, from being involved in fetish x to fetish y, and from male to female to something bordering the two. For me it's a bit of fun, and yes I can admit I find Talash pretty damn attractive in some of these situations (being as he is my avatar), and because of that I'll have them drawn that way again!

Why did I feel the need to post this journal? No reason, really. The comments about Tal's gender don't bother me at all, but it's something I find interesting; peoples reactions to seeing Tal drawn differently. Whether it's Tal as a herm, Tal as a female devouring someone whole or Tal as a male indulging in some sounding, I get so many different, varied responses... I have to admit I like that. I love feedback, seeing what certain people react to and what they like and dislike about the choices I make.

The long and short of this is simple; what do you think about all this gender-bending? Do you do it yourself with your character/s? Do you think it's hot, silly or just plain wierd? Honestly, I'd love to know.

EDIT: Just because someone note'd me and duh I should've said straight off... This journal will be up for probably a week, maybe a less if I get some offers I can't refuse. I won't make it public who's won, but obviously the finished pieces will be posted up here. There is no known timeframe for commission completion.

Yeah I know, I know... Guaranteed-to-make-people-read-journal title is guaranteed, but hear me out here folks.

Basically, the idea is thus; I want to get two pictures of Tal (male or herm, depending) indulging themselves with another character. That other character will be selected by me from the list of whomever decides to put themselves forward in this journal. The two pictures are as follows:

A) Tal hotdogging someone. Most likely will involve moderately hyper endowments, and Tal being in a somewhat dominant position.

B) Tal orally cum inflating someone. This means that they will be orally stimulating Tal to the point at which they're made pleasently plump via his... "Sexual excess", shall we say. Once again will most likely involve moderately hyper endowments, Tal being in a dominant position and (of course) the inflation of the other character.

Now, none of the details are set in stone (except that obviously female Tal is off the cards for this little endeavour) so if there's anything you absolutely must insist on then please state that in your post below. This will of course influence my decision, so being too fussy would obviously be a no-no.

All I need you guys to do is leave a post saying that you'd be interested (in idea A, B or both), what character you're putting forward (a link to a picture/reference is required) and what "finer details" you must insist upon.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, I shall not be saying who've won the slot/s in this journal, as I will inform the winners via a note. However, I will reply to any questions you may have as best I can.

Hey guys and girls, I have a little favour to ask of you all. Unfortunately I find myself utterly stumped for specific ideas at the moment, and I find myself in the position of requesting your aid with a commission I love the idea of, but simply cannot fathom what exact details I'd like!

Essentially the commission is a rough "diagram" showing the pros and cons of vore, featuring yours truly depicting the various aforementioned benefits and drawbacks of vore, one of my favorite little kinks.

What I need of you guys (if you'd be so kind) is for some brainstorming on what exactly ARE the pros and cons! Anything goes (within reason, I don't like scat for example), so please explore the subject as much as you'd want, but I WILL be keeping a close eye out for any potential drama...

If you want to be super-helpful, what I'm really after are opposing values, so for instance... The pro would be a "stylish figure" (curvaceous, full figure, etc) but the con would be, say... The inability to run, or temporary immobility, etc.
