Nothing lasts forever, alas, and so once again I return to the mind-numbing drudgery of "the grind".

No, I'm not talking about World of Warcraft, although I am back to playing that as well.

Had a fantastic time in San Francisco (Not San Fran, noooo... City of snakes, etc) made all the better by meeting up with awesome people. Although I didn't get to go everywhere I wanted, and I didn't get to see everyone I had planned to, I aim to return again to the States at a later time and see and do even more stuff.

Many thanks to and for making a wonderful time even better, and for putting up with all the English-ness spewing out of my mouth 24/7. I hope is feeling better now, and not "talking British" all the time. Who knew it could be contagious?

So yes, I'm back. Hurrah!

So yeah, apologies to people for whom FA is pretty much my only means on contact (C'mon guys, get on Twitter and/or email me a little more!), but have been as busy as all hell itself getting ready for holiday. Am going to be staying in San Francisco for a week from this Thursday, and am really looking forward to it. Not only will it be my first real holiday in a few years, but will hopefully be meeting some very special people (You know who you are) in a city I've always wanted to visit.

Just a quick journal to let y'all know, in case you've been wondering where I've been, I've been suffering with the flu for the last few days, and have been working only day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) recently. Many apologies to folk who I've been wanting to talk to, but have been unable to stay up late enough to catch, you crazy Yanks in particular! (You know who you are...)

Anyhow, feeling a lot better now, so hopefully will be around a little more. And for those of you who I -really- need to catch up with, get a Twitter account or something! Anything so that I don't have to rely on being up at 05:00 to talk with you! ;)

As seeing as one of the criticisms I often get of my character is that there's not enough of "me" in his artwork, I've decided to look at getting a series of commissions featuring yours truly in a selection of 80s scenarios: Fashion, music and film are all good.

Probably not what you were after, or expected, but fuck it I like the idea and I'm going with it, sort of. The reason for this journal is to see if you guys have any good ideas (related to this, of course) and perhaps to steal/borrow/work with a few of them!

So yeah, lots of people getting annoyed over this. Just thought I'd say that my point of view is: I don't think this really belongs on FA, and neither would the male equivalent. I know there's a lot of "militant" women on the site, so just to get them to shut the hell up and get in the kitchen realise I'm not being sexist, or discriminatory, I thought I'd point out that I don't think human genitals BY THEMSELVES IN MEME FORM are really appropriate for the site.

True, I think a lot of stuff that's posted on FA shouldn't be here (Photos of people's cars, pets, etc... Although I admit I favorite them from time to time, as they're not going anywhere) but that's just, like, my opinion, man.

Just to get rid of the previous journal showing up on my page (had a great time on the boat trip BTW, was great to see some old friends again), I thought I'd write something up quickly.

Uh, well it's my birthday this coming Saturday (the 24th) and to be honest I don't know what to think or feel. Since my last birthday I've got a job that I really enjoy and that is going places, and I've been saving up so that eventually I can get my own place. Still don't have a drivers licence (or a car) but I'm sitting my theory soon to give myself a kick up the arse to get it done!

Otherwise things are going well, but very much same-old same-old. Some things are changing, and I don't really want to write about them until they've settled. I can foresee big changes in my life coming up, and although a few years ago I would've dreaded them, I think now I'm mature enough to see them for the opportunities they'll give to me. Wish me luck!

Also, very definately going to be headed to the States next year for a long (4 weeks or so) holiday. I've got a lot to sort out for it, but hoping to be able to house-hop between friends and hotels/motels (another reason to get a drivers licence) for the duration. May also look into visiting Canada, though it'll be the same sort of arrangement there too.

Anyhow, best wrap this up before I waffle on too much. Still playing World of Warcraft, still playing Warhammer (new rules got me interested again) and still looking to get more art, so expect more of the same I guess!
