I really miss painting and getting to work with so many great folks. I have a demanding full-time job but its been too long since I’ve been on here.

Hey everyone! Poking my head back into FA to wish everyone a wonderful upcoming holiday season!

So amazingly happy to see views and favorites on my older work! I really appreciate that. My art has changed quite a bit these days - and the frequency in which I make it now is extremely sporadic. Sometimes I fill a bunch of sketchbook pages, then I wont touch it for months.

A lot of my creative energy has actually gone into learning how to play guitar and general songwriting. It's been a lot of fun!

I dont know if I should apologize or be excited or both, but I finally got back into my FA account.

Let me give you the in a nutshell version.

My most recent FA commission experience had really made me question myself and my skills. It didn't go smoothly for me, and I shouldn't have even taken it in the first place because I was not in a good spot emotionally and my schedule did not allow for it. Long story short, the person was not happy with it, and I don't blame them. I was doing my best to get it done with the time I had while starting a new job out of state and I was just under a lot of stress. Not good excuses, just how it was. I really felt like I failed that person and I was really ashamed so I took a long break from FA. I figured if they were let down, I would probably just let everyone else down too anyway. That was my insecurity talking.

(Note: Please do not blame this person for anything. They did nothing wrong at all. Just poor circumstances on my part.)

I suffer from intense anxiety and depression. I let those things get the best of me in that scenario so I left FA. I tried to forget about it and just wait it out so I could come back again later. In that time (from what I understand) FA had a large security issue and demanded everyone change their passwords or something. Nobody fully explained it to me. I tried logging in MANY times, and for a period there I seemed to have missed a window to re-log in at all and I felt like I'd never get back into this thing.

Then yesterday I was talking to one of my good IRL friends. We were talking about side commissions we've been doing and he mentioned FA. I told him about my history with it and all of my truly fond memories with all of you. Really always made my heart sink talking about it because I felt I couldn't ever get back into my account and explain what's been going on. So I woke up this morning, tried again after maybe a year of giving up, and it seems their password recovery actually works and here we are.

I've created a lot of new and fun things over the years which I might (MIGHT) share periodically on here. It's been a very strange few years to say the least. If anything, if I decide to leave FA for good, I'll leave my current sites where you can connect with me and follow each other.

This might seem dramatic but I sincerely apologize for my absence and I can't say how sorry I am for letting anybody think something bad happened to me. I just seriously couldnt get into my account and I eventually gave up.

I gave two speeches at my college last Wednesday, and I've received so many amazing emails from those students already thanking me for such good advice. Some got me a little choked up at how touching they were - saying I've really changed their life and helped them through a tough time. My college has been asking me to teach since before I graduated, and I'm still hesitant, but thought online courses might be the best alternative to my already busy (as hell) life.

I would like to teach an online introductory to intermediate photoshop course exclusively on gumroad or to patreons. It would be for you guys, people that want to learn, not me showing off PSDs or just showing speed paints. I want to break things down from the fundamentals of photoshop's core to complex and intricate techniques for painting and editing.

What would you guys think about this? I'm still kind of aloof on how to go about it, but just looking to see if this would be interesting to anyone. I'd make this general for a bunch of other students outside of this fandom as well, just seeing how you feel.

They've all been officially sent out, as you know from the messages you all received from me this weekend. Just wanted to share one tip!

These were sent out in tubes, which means you'll have to flatten them out upon arrival - especially those of you who ordered more than one.

Most of them will arrive this week, so get some BIG heavy books ready and clear a spot on the floor. Simply place a large book on each corner and in the center, and leave it over night for a couple of days and they'll end up straight as an arrow.

Hello everyone, and thank you all for your orders!!

Like I mentioned in the note, Im doing all of the billing, poster printing, cutting, and shipping myself - so please bear with me! Since orders are concluded, I will now begin the printing process. It will take a few days, given my full-time studio job. It's down to my boss and I right now so things *are very busy* - and that's not me giving a lazy excuse :) - just how it is. I would like to thank you all so much for your orders, it humbles and honors me so much that many of you wanted my work hanging on your walls! I had to wait for all of the orders to be placed to print everything at once - its just so much easier on me.

I will post another journal once shipping has begun. Ideally all of the expected delivery times will be around the same time so I will let you all know :)

Art as a whole? No. The phrase "one man's trash is another man's treasure" comes to mind. Art in any form can speak to at least one person, and that makes all art good in some way.

Dynamic poses and foreshortening. And environments.

Alright, so...some of you know, some of you dont - but I've been working my ass off for the better part of 14 straight months to land a studio job. Well, this last Friday I got it.

I actually got it.

I am incredibly elated and even more flustered and overwhelmed right now. I'll be moving back to the city I attended college (13 hours away). Had to buy a new car and make sure I've got enough for my apartment deposit + first months rent. I am wiped clean until my first paychecks. But then I'll be living the good life. A real big sigh of relief.

So...this does mean you'll probably see a *lot* less of me from now on. I cant make any promises, but I'll try and take some pieces here and there for you gorgeous people and stay in the community. Please dont feel shy to shoot me a note or shout any time.

To the two pending commissions I have: I know I just sent you a note but you are now fully entwined in this incredibly chaotic chapter of my life right now - please bare with me!!

My head has been spinning non stop the past 2 weeks when all of this started happening and I know it wont slow down for another 2. Or more.

This is the first step to a long and fulfilling journey but landing a studio job really makes me feel like I made it now.
