SHAKE YOUR RUMP!
General | Posted 12 years agoIt's amazing what listening to some Beastie Boys will do to your inner artist!
I've become a different artist as of late. I've started righting some poetry. Urban poetry or hip poetry I guess. They're not in a classical style, and the word poet has been lost in this society, so I'm setting forth to redefine the term. I would love to get these little stories published. I would upload them here, but I don't want no one to steal my ideas. Maybe I'll tease a freestyle poem one day soon. I would say I'm writing these from the perspective of a songwriter per se. So I'm not sure if I could call them poems. But it's good to be going in a different direction.
I lost my job in November, so funds have been tight. But thank God things aren't worse. For I'm better off then some people. This free time has see me starting to catch up on the entertainment field. I've started watching Breaking Bad and it's a good show so far! I just finished the 5th episode of Season One. My city, Albuquerque, has seen a lot of tourists come here to check out the locations of the show, since it was filmed here. I also started watching Regular Show. While I've lost faith in animation these days, this show has rejuvenated my interest in toons. Great show! Reminds me and some of my friends and all our crazy adventures.
I've started reading a lot, too. So far I've finished the following books:
1. "No One Gets Out of Here Alive: The Biography of Jim Morrison"
2. "Into the Wild" which was about the life of adventurer Christopher McCandless. I recommend the movie as well.
I'm currently reading "Three Weeks with My Brother". A story of two brothers who spend three weeks traveling the world together.
I've been jamming to some great music from the likes of Katie Melua, Nick Hexum's solo debut and Gabriella Cilmi. All three of these CD's are their latest efforts. I pre-ordered them and all came with autographs!! I love when artists do things like this for the fans! Of course, I've thrown Beastie Boys in the mix as well. In addition to all the many other artists I listen to.
I bought a new Ipod Nano, the newest generation. I'm having a bitch syncing it on my old PC, which still has a lot of my music on it. I'm gonna need to buy an external HD soon to transfer my music so I can start syncing on other devices soon.
As we know, these past couple of weeks have seen both Paul Walker's and Nelson Mandela's deaths. RIP to these two. One was a good actor whose life was cut short too soon, and another was a revolutionary who changed South Africa, and perhaps, the world forever. R.I.P.
Man, this year has saw me soul searching on a whole other level. I'm not that old yet, but time gets you thinking on the state of the world as well as your own life.
I continue to live to see the world, and perhaps even more great things one day.

I can't draw still!
General | Posted 12 years agoWhat a tough year it's been! The more time passes, the more time I find myself disenchanted.
I just feel with all the craziness of this year, that my drive to create has been repressed. I used to draw a lot, and now I can't. I dunno. What I have tried to sketch, it all comes out shit.
I'm gonna try doing something different. Maybe trying to paint in Photoshop or something. Any tips are welcome!
Peace!

Can I recommend some songs for you all?
General | Posted 12 years agoA while back, every journal entry, I used to recommend songs that I think are noteworthy and worth jamming or slow grooving to.
With the lack of art this year on my part, apart from a huge crossover piece, I wanted to stir up some interest on a different level. Please listen to these songs and give me your two cents. These are songs I just started listening to, or have listened for a while. I hope you can appreciate my eclectic tastes! :)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaMBag… << Janelle Monae-Dance Apocalyptic. This song has a unique soul and dance vibe to it. Something like Prince mixed with Diana Ross. Beyonce wishes she could be like this chick!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IRIP-… << Katie Melua-I Will Be There. This track is off her upcoming album, Ketevan. Maybe you might've heard of her? She's an angel with a voice from the heavens. This song was done in honor of the Queen's Coronation Gala this year, and it's a moving piece that's destined for greatness! I'm excited because I pre-ordered the album with a signed postcard!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Oet5D… <<Gabriella Cilmi-The Sting. She's finally making a unique comeback after disappearing off the music scene for a while. This smoky number has her crooning in a manner beyond her years. I wish her continued success! This track is a grower, but it's unlike anything in the market today!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CxTAY… <<311-Gap. I love this band! Saw them live in 2011 with friends and it was an amazing night! They have such energy and enthusiasm for what they do. This track has received a lot of play counts on my Ipod/Iphone for a while now. It's got that vibe that makes you wanna jive and jump! It's a B-side. It's proof that some B-sides should've been album tracks!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyZ2qT… <<Slightly Stoopid-Wicked Rebel. I became a fan after a former buddy of mine introduced me to this band back in 2008. I became hooked on their grooves and jams. Much in the vein of 311, they're all about making you wanna go to the beach and light up a spliff. This track is one of my favorites of theres. It's a jam off their 2003 effort "Everything You Need".
Enjoy friends! God Bless!
In other news, I came back on Monday from my visit to Toronto. My first time in Ontario, although I've been to other provinces in Canada before. Awesome city! I was visiting some friends from ships and it was an amazing journey! Went to Niagara Falls and hit up the CN Tower. I'm blessed to have friends all over the world. Reality bites though, and I was hit with it hard when I got back, but hey, you gotta live, right??

Dang, where was I?
General | Posted 12 years agoI haven't bothered to log on for a few months, but I thought I finally would to touch base.
First off, I haven't had any drive to do any art. I think for now I'm giving it up. My mind is gearing towards other things in life, and occupied with work and my travels, and maybe thoughts of a family of my one day. These things are near, and some far. But I've soul searched and decided to move forward and see where life takes me. It's been a heck of a ride.
You probably won't see much of me on here anymore either. Maybe once in a blue moon. But, not to be offensive, I was never part of this genre. I only draw what I want and feel like, and I figured the best way would be to expand to other sites and see how it all fares. I do thank you all for your kind words, comments and faves. I appreciate that. ^_^
But for now, no thanks. I don't wanna create any more. However, I will say, going to Canada in August, and planning for Japan next year. I gotta see more of the world before life changes in the future!

Been a crazy few months....
General | Posted 13 years agoMan, what an emotionally draining few months it's been. Ever since October it's been one thing after another. I've gone through everything from a car accident, work troubles, death in the family and now even a bit of heartbreak with this girl I was dating. Oh well, the world doesn't stop for anyone's problems, and there's always a greater evil out there. I press forward! :) I did order some new rims for my 2010 Hyundai Sonata, so I'm looking forward to cruising in style! Gives me an excuse to not call in to work haha! I'm also planning a mini road trip to Cloudcroft, New Mexico with a couple of friends. I've been all over the world and seen so much, and now I'm getting to know my home state and it's beauties a bit more.
I've been restless on the art front. I did produce one of my hugest projects to date with my huge chibi fanart I did I finished in February, but apart from that I haven't been much in the art mood. Of course, these things come in spurts, so I'm sure I'll get a second wind here soon.
Speaking of which, I'm growing more disenchanted with some of the fanart I've seen here and other places. Some go overboard, ruining the innocence of the cartoons I grew up with. I don't wanna see any yaoi or fetish works of Disney characters. That's all that seems to be going down these days. If it's not tickling arts it's MLP stuff (if you like that that's cool, but not my cuppa tea) and so much more crap.
I don't know when, but I'm thinking my next international adventure will be Japan. I was looking up hostels in Tokyo last night. I'm a spontaneous fella so I don't know when the trip will be. Maybe next year. Let's see?

Ponyo and Into the Wild
General | Posted 13 years agoI would like to share two great movies with you all if you haven't seen them.
"Ponyo" and "Into the Wild". Both great and powerful movies that make you think. One animated, one biographical.
Studio Ghibli has some amazing gems in it's catalogue, and I can definitely say that "Ponyo" is one of them. The story of a little sea dwelling creature wanting to be human so she can be with the human she met on shore, and then evolving into this amazing story of self-discovery. It's a classic Ghibli staple. One I really recommend you see.
"Into the Wild" is about Christopher McCandless, a traveler who ended up in the Alaskan wilderness and met his fate out there. It shows his journey from college and how he affects those he comes across. Sean Penn directed it, and it's just a really powerful film to see. It really makes you think, and how life might be like if you weren't around kind of thing.
God Bless.

An Update From Your Dawg!
General | Posted 13 years agoSup all! Happy 2013 to you all.
I write to you all sleepy and tired from the work week. So a quick update.
I lost my uncle in the beginning of December. He was given military honors and taps at his funeral since he served in the Navy. It always sucks to lose a family member during the holidays, when you're expected to be happy and cheerful. RIP Uncle Magarito.
I've been an animal health tech (or vet tech, whatever lol) for almost 2 months as of this date, and I've had mixed feelings. I won't get into length why, I love the job, but some of the people where I work kind of kill the experience. Needless to say, it's that way with practically every job, but I always say, if you have a cliqueish group of co-workers, it makes it tedious then it should be. But that being said, I'm enjoying soaking up the experience and it's good for my resume. I'm biting my lip and pressing forward. What more can I do? I am grateful, and it is paying my bills until I find another job at another clinic or practice.
Speaking of bills, I bought me a new ride! A 2010 Hyuandai Sonata! It was an impulsive buy, but one I needed for a while now since my 1995 Pontiac Bonneville finally shit out after almost 230,000 miles.
Top that off with my upcoming student loans I gotta pay back and I'm back in debt again. It seems to be an American thing, to be in debt. But nah, it's a world thing lol.
Yesterday me and a buddy of mine saw the AWESOME Slightly Stoopid in concert! My first show of 2013 and they rocked! It all feels like a dream that I saw them, but that's maybe because of the haze from the spliffs being passed around. These guys are some of my heroes, and I'm so happy I finally got to see them live! If they come to your town, you should too!
So, yeah, that sums up my last few weeks of 2012, and into 2013. How are you all? God Bless!

I'm running out of controllers!!
General | Posted 13 years agoDamn it! These assholes that play on Xbox Live are something else! I swear these people either have no lives or have a way to hack into the game so that they always win!
As you can tell, I've come across come cheap ass players online. I mostly play fighting games on XBox Live, not Call of Duty or anything like that. There are so many players that I guess are that good. But it drives me nuts because I'M A DECENT PLAYER and these dicks spam me with fireballs and cheap uppercuts. Was playing SSF2HDR and I swear the amount of Shoto players that always pick Ryu never cease to amaze me with their cheap ways.
Needless to save, I've gone through 4 controllers in 3 years. I broke a really good one just now, I guess it can only take so many times throwing against a wall. lol. It SUCKS playing fighting games with the Xbox controller. I need to get me a fighter controller one day. It sucks they're still so expensive! I can't afford to get another, but I wish these assholes online weren't so damn cheap.
At least I worked off some rage over these last few weeks. Too bad it was taken out of my controller......fuck these cheap cunts on Xbox Live!

What's on my mind?
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, I ain't gonna lie. It was a shitty October. Car accident, forced resignation from work, a breakdown of sorts, and getting turned down a job for the zoo. Such is life, can't gripe too much about this. But to me, it seemed one of those reasons to indulge in self-pity, like why is this happening to me? A good guy who, while not a saint at all, doesn't deserve to be kicked down repetitively.
Recently though, I've tried to stay positive and because of this, I've gotten a chance to break a 4-month art block and finish up two commissions for
kuntos and another client. and that have been waiting patiently for a long time for. I've been applying and sending my resumes to different clinics in the hopes someone hires me. They'd be a fool not to choose me. I'm a great worker! So, crossing my fingers I hear back from someone.
It gives me a bit of an ego boost, as well as personal joy, when I get commented and lots of faves for my works. So, especially to my "fans" who have followed and faved my works constantly, I thank you. (Not sure if I have a fan following, how can you tell?)
So, just like my heroes 311 preach, stay positive! It's hard, and it's not easy, but during moments like a high art turnout or having lunch with a friend, there's always a light that breaks through the darkness.
One more thing, I'm gonna stay off Xbox Live for a bit, it seems everytime I challenge someone, they're loads better than me and it's cost me two controllers already lol. Ha ha! Stupid d-pad! XD
God Bless.

My apologies!
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's been a mix of business and restlessness since I came back from Australia. I haven't really produced no output. I can't get inspired. Looks like I'll have to do what Ursula said in Kiki's Delivery Service and have to find my own inspiration yet again. It's not easy. I hate these bouts of art drought. I have so much ideas, and yet, nothing comes out right, or it comes out shitty.
I owe
kuntos a commission still. And he's been patiently waiting for 2 months now. I apologize. Nothing has been coming out to my standard, and I don't want you to have a sub-par piece. I hope you understand. I will get it done. I don't like it for my customers to wait to long for their art. Don't let this art block deter for my professionalism.
Sydney was cool, but it's good to be back home in America. It's expensive in Sydney! Especially to eat out! Ever since I came back from Australia, though, it's been back to work, and starting to search in jobs in my new field I just graduated from. I've also had this black cloud hanging over my head at various times. It sucks, because that's not me normally. But lately, it's been little shit that's bothered me, and it changes my disposition. It sucks, and I know it's life. I hate being bummed out, and I'd rather be happy. But you can't avoid those pitfalls. Just gotta embrace the good and remember that it's way worse for a lot of people. I'm thankful and blessed and trying to get past those little things that fuck my disposition.

Broadcasting live from Sydney!
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, it's been quite a ride during my first visit to Australia! I've already built some interesting memories, and lessons I won't soon forget.
I had lost my wallet in the back of a taxi, and thank God, it was delivered to the police station. That had soured my mood for a bit, understandable of course. This had never happened to me in a foreign country before. But thank God Almighty, it was returned. It's a miracle. I started enjoying myself after that.
I went to the Blue Mountains, touched a koala at Sydney Wildlife World and today I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge! There was still so much sights I couldn't visit, but I did what I set out to do for the most part! Sydney is amazing, but it's expensive, especially to eat out. I did get to eat a kangaroo burger today before my climb up the bridge. It's not too bad. They served it with something called "rocket". It's like a sweet purple paste.
Well, I fly back to America tomorrow. I'm ready to be back home again, but I'm so glad I came to Australia. My first international journey as a 30-something now ha ha! Greetings fans, from the other side of the world. G'day!

Well, I fly back to America tomorrow. I'm ready to be back home again, but I'm so glad I came to Australia. My first international journey as a 30-something now ha ha! Greetings fans, from the other side of the world. G'day!
Dirty 30!
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, it was a good, if slightly drunk and hungover, birthday! I got to spend my dirty 30 surrounded by family and friends! Felt so blessed and now that the excitement's over, time to forge ahead and carve more of my path that I've been walking on.
I did a lot of exciting things in my 20's, traveled the world, met new people, experienced new opportunities, graduated college and so much. It means a lot to me to hold onto the good times. They say you should never live in the past, and this is true for some things, but for the memories that brought me joy, there's no need to bury those away.
I will work on bettering myself for the greater good. There's things and lessons to be learned. I will strive foward. We are all human and I know life will deal me some blows, but that's a part of life. For the blows that have been dealt, it's been a good lesson. But for the good times that are to come, that's what I live for. For the countries that I have yet to see, I can't wait to experience the culture and sights. For that special soulmate that's out there, I hope I will find.
Let's see what's next! I guess I could compare life to watching television. The commericals are hurdles that you can't avoid, they're inevitable. But once your favorite movie or TV show come back on, you jump right back into it with anticipation and excitement! Paz y amor!

AUSTRALIA BOUND!!
General | Posted 13 years agoYep yeps, it was a wild hair and I plucked it! I'm heading to Australia for a few days next month!! I'm super excited! It'll be 4 days in Sydney, and I'm looking forward to this getaway. Got my tourist visa approved and now just waiting! What a great way to celebrate the end of my externship!
I forget that when I arrive, I lose a day, so instead of having an extra day like I planned, I'm gonna have to make the most of my time there. A visit to the Blue Mountains for the day is a must, I've eyed up this really great one that covers a whole bunch of ground and includes a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park. I wanna take a picture with a koala, and this is supposedly included. I also wanna explore Sydney on foot and maybe do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. I'm pumped up!! Can't wait!
Like I said, I completed 240 hours of externship on Monday. Today was nice, not having nothing to do or worry about anything too much. Maybe now, with this little break before I start looking for work in my field, I can get back to these commissions and creating some fanarts again. I've envisioned a crossover art of the Scooby Doo gang and the Baudelaire orphans from Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" books. We will see if anything comes to light. I owe a couple of customers their commissions as well. So I've got some work to do!
Any Aussies in the house wanna advise me of some off-the-beaten-path trips I can do in Sydney?

Happy 4th of July Patriots!
General | Posted 13 years agoFor those who are celebrating USA's independence today, Happy 4th of July!
In other news, I'm into my 4th week of externship for veterinary assisting. I had today off because it's a holiday. A full day off! It's much needed, and I have two more weeks left. I'm excited to get back to a normal flow of life soon. I also have a full time job in addition to this externship so I've had a full plate, pretty much since the beginning of the year with school before as well. I'm thinking of taking me some time off, hoping to go to Australia. I need to see how things pan out after this externship is done before I think about that. 6 weeks of externship is a little intense, in my opinion. You learn the majority of the profession in 4 weeks. I don't know why the school makes you do so many unpaid hours to finish the program, that's something I don't get. But I'm taking advantadge of all my experiences and will put them to use once I'm in the field! ^_^
I've been a ball of anxiety for a while with everything going on. But I'll be glad to be done with all of this, and ready to see where the next step will take me.

Exhausted, but striving foward!
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, my first week of veterinary assistant externship is done. 5 more weeks before I do my exit interview with my school!
I'm grateful because I've learned so much in my first week! I work in the surgery area of the shelter and we deal with lots of spay and neuter cases. We can have a lot of animals in one given morning. Lots of restraining animals and prepping for the surgery table. I've learned how the machines work, vaccinating and recovery. My last part of the day is usually housekeeping duties like cleaning up the suite, making instrument packs and cleaning out the smelly kennels. It's a huge shelter so there's lots to do. My school requires 240 hours of externship to finish. So, my "shifts" are 7:30-3:30, to get my daily 8 hours and 40 hours for the week.
In addition, I'm also still working my regular job at the Hard Rock ABQ as a guest service agent. So, I'm 7 days a week with both things going. My plate is full, but I'm excited to finish and get my certification! I'm so glad to have gotten to know and learn so much! The team is very helpful, too. I'm blessed to have the chance to do this.
Those to who I owe commissions, I will start them soon when I have more energy and time. Thanks for understanding!

The Inner Workings of Electric, I'm unique!
General | Posted 13 years agoAllow me to spit some mind matter for you all, from the vaults of an electric chap! How I'm feeling at the moment.
I'm Hispanic, but I don't live up to my stereotypes. I'm not a hustler, I'm not a thuggish-ruggish, a pimp, a drug slinger or an excessive manwhore. My adventures come from traveling and hanging out with friends and family. I value the people in life who've helped me along the way and made me grow.
My travels have taken me everywhere from the party time of Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, to observing penguins in Chile and wine tasting in Italy. That's only a fraction of where I've been, too! ^_^ There are so many wonders in the world left to explore.
I look up to a lot of people! Not only my friends who are older, but some of my heroes are God & Jesus, 311, Bruce Lee, Layne Staley, Pharrell Williams, Jason Statham, Walt Disney and Sherlock Holmes!
I love foreign girls, they're mysterious, especially beautiful and fit English girls like Rosie Jones and Keeley Hazell. I still hope to marry one, as American girls are either really overweight, too cool for school. All the good ones are always taken, and hopefully they're treated right! I think my dream girl would be a mix of Norah Jones and Katie Melua.
My favorite teams are the Miami Dolphins and the LA Lakers, but I don't follow sports religiously like a lot of my peers do, watching ESPN on a daily basis. Nah, not for me.
I love music, whatever makes me move and groove, or relaxes me. My tastes in music are diverse, from everything from The Beastie Boys, Q-Tip, 311 and Slightly Stoopid to Girls Aloud, Jack White, Norah Jones and the Spice Girls. These are just some of the groups that make me rock out, jam up a storm or just relax after a hard day's work, taking me to another realm of peace and comfort.
There's still a ton of movies that I haven't seen that I need to cross off my list. I don't have much time to watch much movies and when I do, I'm too lazy or working on my art. I still need to watch The Godfather, Easy Rider and so much more. I can recommend some good movies I've seen recently, like The Woman in Black, Miss Potter and Hachi: A Dog's Tale. I tend to avoid today's Holllywood blockbusters, and can't understand why people are worshipping The Avengers and all this ultra-hyped shit. The Avengers was great, but c'mon geeks and geekettes, calm down! It's not stopping wars or rescuing injured animals!
My newest hobbies are go-karting and ghost hunting. Always done best with buddies. The most "haunted" place I've visited is the Tower of London in London, England. The last place I've visited that's supposed to be haunted was The Historic Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I still would like to check out even more haunted places!
I've been a video gamer since I was a pup, but you won't find me tearing it up on Call of Duty online or anything, bragging about my levels on WoW or what not. I love playing classics like Capcom vs SNK 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Darkstalkers.
My nature is mild-mannered, and I despise confrontation and controversy, but will confront it if absolutely necessary. I won't back down in that case.
I'm a fanartist, and I do draw anthro works. But I don't consider myself a furry or anything like that. :) I just enjoy drawing whatever comes out of these hands, from the talent that God has blessed me with.
I flow to the beat of my own drum, I dance to my own groove, I fly a different kite and I'll gladly drive a functional, fully-restored 1925 Flint compared to driving the newest car with a banging soundsystem.
Thank you very much fans! Thanks for the kind words! God Bless! :)

Inspirational Link
General | Posted 13 years agoGood day all! Just completed a commission for
omegacoyote tonight. And now feeling chill.
I thought I'd share with you a link to an inspirational story. The following link about actor Chris Klein and the camaraderie he shares with his German Shepherd dog, Chief. He overcame his alcohol addiction thanks to the love and support he received from his family, friends and his dog. :)
http://www.peoplepets.com/people/pets/article/0,,20584228,00.html
For those who don't know, I'm currently enrolled at Pima Medical School for my certification as a veterinary assistant. :) Stories like this touch the soul, especially when it comes from someone famous. There's a lot of animal lovers out there, and while some can kill and eat us, others are our best friends. :) At the moment I don't have a pet, due to time and limitations, but I want a German Shepherd puppy when I finally buy my first house.
Do you have a pet that you have a strong bond with?

A Somber Week......
General | Posted 14 years agoA whole bunch of crap is happening this week. It's like the stars aligned in a bad way.
As you all know by now, Whitney Houston died this last Saturday. I was shocked when I heard the news. A little bit sad the next day, it's true, you don't appreciate someone or something til they are gone. I liked her music, her older stuff especially. But I got to listening to it again, naturally, with the tragedy. Of course, we know she led a turbulent life, and these last few years she tried her best to get back in the groove. She finally succumbed. :(
She surrounded herself with a bad crowd, a crowd of hangers-on, that probably didn't care about her, but her fame and money. Despite having the support of her family, she didn't make it in the end. This pushes me to never fall in that crowd. I'm glad I surround myself with good people. It shows, even fame and fortune, don't make everybody stable and secure. My prayers go out to Whitney and her family. It's such a shame when such a celebrated icon loses their life in dire circumstance. We had a little debate in class yesterday when the subject came up. Most of the classmates were indifferent about it. I didn't wanna argue, but deep down, we're all human. Not even someone who is a celebrity are indestructible. We all have faults. Not everyone can live up to the American standard of living or being happy. That's up to us.
With the passing of Whitney, it makes me sad for those who did give us great entertainment that were misunderstood while here on earth, and yet, now they're gone, we wish they were here.
In addition to Ms. Houston, such people like Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Corey Haim and soooo many more who didn't get the recognition when they were alive. These people met their ends under different ways, some drug-related, or depression, or their body failed because of drug abuse, etc. These people would be classified by society as "different" because of their different ways of doing things from the conventional archetype. Layne wrote some powerful and poignant lyrics while in Alice in Chains. They can be interpreted as either the words coming from a man who can't battle his drug abuse alone, or they could mean longing for something else. Layne was sadly found dead in his condo after not being discovered for some time, having disappeared from the public eye in his final years. Kurt Cobain, who along with Layne Staley, definted the grunge movement, sadly couldn't get past his demons either, and seemed to have so much suffering in his life before he decided to end it. And Corey Haim, the fallen 80's star, who hadn't done much in his last years, seemingly reduced to a mere shamble because of his past drug use. The way Corey Feldman described his friend after he died broke my heart, as being "desitute and alone" in his last days. From what I've seen on videos, he seemed like such a nice person who unfortunately had some past issues that never left him. I was very young during the time when he was popular, so I never watched his movies. But reading about him made me somehow wish I could've extended a hand to him....and to Layne, and to Kurt. Or even to anyone, who, despite being a warm and kind soul deep down underneath, still needs help and a friend to lean on.
Is there anyone you know in such dire straits? Celebrity or just anybody you admire? Who?
I felt like I had to reflect on this. As humans, we are designed to mourn things we've lost and loved. We never really do appreciate things until they're not in front of us anymore.......I wish there was everlasting happiness for us all.
RIP Whitney Houston.....RIP Layne Staley....RIP Corey Haim....RIP Kurt Cobain....the list goes on. My prayers to them. As well as those who don't have a voice, who are scourned upon, who don't have no one to turn to...whom society rejects but so badly want to fit in and try.....
Take time to love those who love you, or love yourself for who you are. Appreciate what you have. It's hard, but we somehow gotta strive forward. God Bless.

Commission price changes
General | Posted 14 years agoFirst off, a happy 2012 to you all! I hope you all are well.
My rates are 7 bucks for a black and white sketch. 17 for a color piece with no background. 21 for one character with color and background, 35 for two or more characters with color and background. You don't have to pay me until the piece is finished.
Also, PLEASE, new rule. In addition to no porn and yaoi/yiff art, please understand....my style is my style. By taking a commission from me, you accept my artist style. I will do my VERY BEST to draw whatever you like as close to the style of character that you're asking me to do....but please, my style is unique. So try not to nitpick me if for some reason, it doesn't come out exactly to a tee as the original fanart or character.
Also, let me know BEFOREHAND, exactly what you want and what color schemes to use. There's nothing more annoying then having a finished work, only for the commissioner to nitpick and make all these changes instead of asking me BEFORE I STARTED THE PIECE, not making it clear.
I hope this isn't asking too much. :) I hope to have your business in the near future. :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
General | Posted 14 years agoThank you all for the faves, comments and watches! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. In these times of depression, despair and tragedy,it's important to value what good in life we have and to hold onto the good times and cherish them. Cherish those who are good to you!
2011 hasn't been the best of years, but it could always be worse, and thank God, it isn't! :) I'm blessed for the all the ups this year had brought me. 2012 should see me getting my certificate as a veterinary assistant. So mostly school will be on my agenda and trying not to miss a day!
I wish you all good tidings and will see you in the New Year!

For those who say Jon Talbain ain't in MvC3....

Ha ha, this is Amaterasu's alternate. A Jon Talbain skin! However, this will create confusion. Jon Talbain is male and Ammy is female. Interesting thought, but the fur might fly haha!

A Series of Unfortunate Events........
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm not talking about the title of the books by Lemony Snicket. No....I'm talking about how sad the last few days have been.
First, the bombings and killings in Oslo, Norway. One of the most peaceful countries in the world at one point, and a horrible tragedy has befallen it. So many innocent souls were taken. It's always shocking when it involves innocents. I pray for their souls, and I pray for their loved ones.
I also learned today that Amy Winehouse was found dead. Such a great talent, yet another loss to addiction. Jessie J remarked that "she will be talked about 30 years from now, just like other legends who've died too young". Her self-destruction seemed almost imminent, needless to say. :( It's such a tragic loss. I can only, as well as her other fans, hope that she has found some peace at last.
RIP Amy Winehouse and RIP for all the victims of the Oslo bombings. As well as the souls of us all. May we be greatful and continue to try and do good, in a world gone wrong.....God Bless everyone.
First, the bombings and killings in Oslo, Norway. One of the most peaceful countries in the world at one point, and a horrible tragedy has befallen it. So many innocent souls were taken. It's always shocking when it involves innocents. I pray for their souls, and I pray for their loved ones.

General | Posted 15 years agoGreetings FA users!! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you all a Happy New Year! It was a good week and now, for the first time in 4 New Year's Eves, I'm staying in! I'm here at my parents house just passing the time until midnight (about a hour and a half away). I wasn't gonna stay in my apartment and just be all emo ha ha. I haven't spent a NYE's by myself yet. I don't have internet yet at my place still. I have to get on the ball on that. But that's not why I'm staying here with my folks. It's safer and it's not far from my work, and also that I haven't spent NYE with my folks in 5 years. Being with loved ones is best. 2010 saw me going to China and South Africa. I'm blessed to have seen the sights I saw, hear the sounds I heard and experience the cultures of these unique and beautiful lands! I hope to travel more in 2011. My plan is to go to Australia for my birthday in August. We'll see. :)
I wanted to say a big thanks to those kind folks ALL OVER THIS GREAT WORLD OF OURS who come here and fave and comment my works as well as watch me. I can't answer everyone's comments, but I try. As for reading journals, I don't have much time these days to read through any so I don't comment on them. I'm sorry for this. But rest assured, I acknowledge the "fans" of mine and you all know who you are. Those who've followed my works for years. God Bless and thank you all!
See you all in the New Year! Take care out there! Thank you all again!
