Almost time to leave!
General | Posted 17 years ago13 more days until I leave for my next contract everyone. Just so you know, obviously this place wil lie dormant during the time I'm gone. I'm signing on to our newest ship, The Norwegian Gem, in Barcelona, Spain! I'm SOOO excited! I'll be based out of Spain from May until August. I'll be visiting Italy, France and Malta.
So, before I leave, I'm gonna do my best to finish the Talbain and Cammy comic for all of you. I hope you have been enjoying it so far.
There is also a couple of new arts I wanna put up as well. There's even a brand new original character I plan to unveil.
But yes, during this time period you won't be seeing anything for a while. Maybe I'll do some sketching when I'm in Europe. We'll see.
In other news, I FINALLY got my state refund check in my bank. Of course a bit of it is dedicated to my bills. There's also the stimulus that we'll be getting, apparently 600 bucks! Yay for free money! Okay peace out all!
Alright all, peace out! This is Electric signing off!

Please don't ignore this. This is a real thing that the copyright industry wants to pass onto Congress to get approved! We can't allow this!

Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!
General | Posted 18 years agoIt's amazing here. It's already almost time to go home as I type this. :( I love it here. I haven't run into too many of the famous "friendly Carioca" natives here yet. I've run into a couple but I'm guessing because it was Carnaval time there were all somewhere else, except for those who have to stay and work.
I've had so much fun here. I've been with friends who are visiting down here but they leave today. Sad about that. I've seen so much since I've been here. We went to the famous Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado Hill, went to the Sambadrome, went to Sugar Loaf mountain yesterday and strolled down Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. It's been amazing and I'd like to stay longer. But money is an issue. It's fairly cheap here although it seems like I've spent so much money lol.
I still have a day left to soak everything in before I return home.
It'll be just me now since my friends are leaving today so I'm gonna entertain myself in some way. I still would like to see the Maracana but it's in a bad part of town. We'll see how it goes I still have my heart set on hanggliding! :)
Peace out everyone! All the way from Rio de Janeiro to wherever you are, bom dia!

Back from the ships once again!
General | Posted 18 years agoWell I'm back all! This contract was my fourth aboard the cruise ships and it was my shortest, but it was a lot of fun. I'm so sad to have left such a great crew behind but happy at the memories that were made and the countries and places I visited along the way. I was on the newest ship in our fleet, the Norwegian Pearl (www.ncl.com to see how it looks like). It's a beautiful ship. It's the first ship ever to have a bowling alley at sea! I bowled a damn good game, too! Much better then any bowling game I've done back here at home. I got to see some old friends again and make new ones as well. One of the YC's I worked with is from Brazil and he's supposed to meet me when I get to Rio in February!! How exciting! I hope he can get there in time so he can be my translator! XD lol I've studied my Portuguese here and there in preparation but I'm still not fluent.
We were based out of Miami and we went to Samana (in the Dominican Republic, been there once before but didn't get off here for this cruise), Tortola, Antigua, Barbados and Saint Lucia! Saint Lucia was my favorite because it was soooo green! Followed second by Barbados because the town we docked in (a town called Bridgetown) was actually farily decent and they have a beach called the Boatyard where a lot of the crew seem to go (probably because of the free drink you get when you go in). It was my first time setting foot in Antigua, Barbados and Saint Lucia. The other two I've been to before on my first contract on the Norwegian Dawn. So I was excited to get a chance to get off for a bit at each of those places and do stuff. Great places!
Also, the crew were awesome! My fellow youth counselors were amazing and we got on pretty good! That, to me, makes a contract a good contract. Otherwise, it's impossible. I miss them all already and wish I would've stayed longer to have gotten to know the rest.
My flight got in from Miami late last night. And to top it off, I had to work this morning so fairly burnt out but not too much. I expect that to change soon x.x.
I'm happy though. Good times good times!
In other news, I paid off my orthodontist bill today! Yes yes.....2 years and apx. 5,000 dollars later I'm done O___O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that's one BIG bill out of my way. Also, while I was gone, my parents took my car to get my fender fixed (I cracked it when I backed out of the carport wrong, I was soooo mad!) and I got a few bills paid on time as well. That's important! I also got me contacts. Gah they're so hard to put in and especially hard to take out. My eyes have been all bloodshot doing it. O_o
So, yeah, that was, in brief, my time on my fourth contract aboard the Norwegian Pearl. I wanna see if I can go back for one more seasonal contract and then I think I'll be done with ships for good. It's been a good run and to think I've been employed with them for almost two years now. Crazy how time flies! Also, this job here back home (utility locator) I've been working for 9 months now. It's good money but hard work.
Well, that's about it! Expect some more art from me hopefully soon! I need to get my creative juices flowing once again!
THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO'VE FAVED AND WATCHED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I APPRECIATE YOUR KIND WORDS...ALL OF YOU!!!

Surgery went well!
General | Posted 18 years agoI'm a little sore but Thank God I came out of it okay. Thanks to whoever said a prayer and offered their support I appreciate it. The good thing it's a low-risk procedure so that helped, not too mention prayers from friends and family. I'm so loved. =3
Now for all the fun post-op appointments and stuff. Good thing I'm healthy as a lion or it wouldn't have been so great. ^_^ I'm so thankful.

Rio de Janeiro, here I come!
General | Posted 18 years agoIt's on! I bought my plane tickets today! I'll be spending 8 glorious days in Rio de Janeiro for Caranval! (made me feel a bit better after a very stress filled and horrible week), 1300 that's the most i've ever paid for a plane ticket but I can't wait! It's on guys! I even bought me something extra to go with the tickets, travler's insurance! Now I'm secured as far as that. ^^ Now I just gotta wait til December so I can go back to the agency and have them order me a Brazilian visa (can't enter Brazil without one).
Now I just gotta wait until late November to get my visa (you can't enter Brazil without one). You have to buy it at least 60 days prior to travel soo.......
WOOT! Thank God! January needs to get here fast!

New Price Guide for Commissions
General | Posted 18 years agoWell, due to supply and demand from my last 2 (and upcoming) commissions, I've decided to up my prices a bit. :) Hope this doesn't inconvience those who want to request a commission in future. But I'm a straving artist and Electric likes his moola (and most importantly YOUR SERVICE! :D ) I hope you find these prices fair! And for those who had requested PRIOR TO this new change, don't worry! Your prices will STILL BE the same before the change.
Below are the new pirces, the same rules apply and I'll list those again!

Regular B&W sketch (like the title says, a sketch, no lineart):
USD 11.00
Regular B&W lineart (no color):
USD 15.00
Colored piece (with NO background):
USD 27.00
Colored piece (with a background):
USD 38.00
RULES
1. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING yiffy or yaoi. I can't draw that kind of stuff.
2. Make sure you list all specific details for the piece, including (if an original character) who to put the character copyright under and who to make it out to.
3. Nothing generated towards hate or prejudice. That includes wanting anything having to do with degrading or demoralizing race, religion or discrimination (I KNOW THIS RULE IS RATHER BIZARRE BUT YOU'D BE SURPRISED TO SEE WHAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE ASKED FOR).]
4. You MUST include the details when you note me on commissions of what you like. And also you must let me know your FULL NAME. :)
Thanks for the business everyone! For those who've already commissioned from me, thanks again for the business!
OH! In other news, I got my top braces off today! I go for a few more weeks with my bottom ones and I can't wait to have those off too! But yeah, I got my top ones off and it hurt a bit when they buffed the teeth out and stuff but my smile's all sexy now. =3 And aligned! Woot! :D
I also have surgery soon (long story on that one). So if you all fans please pray for me I'd appreciate it. ^_^ It's on Sept. 12th so wish me luck. Kinda freaked since I've never had surgery before. Keep a prayer for me yo! Thanks everyone!

25 years old!
General | Posted 18 years agoOh joy! It was a boring b-day this year. Didn't do anything beacuse I'm on 24-hour callout at work and it prevents me from doing anything. Suckage.
My parents gave me 100 so that was nice of them. They're awesome! :D

General | Posted 18 years agoThank you all very much for your kind words and favorites. I appreciate them and I just want each and every one of you to know this. :)
My bad for not being around and commenting as much as I should but so busy these days or too lazy.
I just finished designing my next tattoo. :) It's of a certain Disney character. :D He rocks!
Peace out you all. Thanks and God Bless!

As the year comes to a close....
General | Posted 19 years agoFor some reason, the end of the year always gets me into a mellow/depressed/cynical view on the world and in life in general. I guess it's because winter approaches and everything appears so bleak. I tend to think about friends and good times, both past and present, family, and personal things in general. It also makes me ponder how I spent the year. And while I may have spent another one young, carefree and single, I know that life can't continue in this way forever. I really do wanna settle down and have a few kids of my own (I've always wanted little girls, don't know why), but I do know I'm still young enough to fully get out there in the world.
This year, as most of you know, I've worked on cruise ships. I've worked for the Norwegian Cruise Line company. Perhaps you've heard of them? I worked as a youth coordinator, entertaining the kids, as well as interacting with guests and what not. It was a hard life at first, and I spent my first month and a half in misery. I was far from home and the crew I worked with were horrible and unfriendly. It wasn't until the last couple of weeks that I started to like it. My second contract went MUCH better and I met so many good people who I still keep in touch with by e-mail and Myspace. I loved it and it was perhaps the best summer of my life. My third contract went by okay. Although the run was kind of boring. (only 3 ports in Mexico, and 1 in Belize). Too date, this has been my most active year in the 2000's, I've traveled, met tons of people, hung with old pals a bit more, and much more. Not too mention I've cranked out the art lately. So, yes, an active year for me. But that's good. Better then a lump of human mass or inactive. I thank God and count my blessings every day when possible.
My travels have taken me to:
Scotland (went to Glasgow to visit a friend)
England (went down there with my Scottish friend to visit another friend)
Alaska
Canada
Mexico
Belize
St. Maarten
Tortola
Puerto Rico
St. Thomas
Roatan (an island that's a part of Honduras)
New York City
Seattle (I loved this city)
Houston (sucky sucky port though, didn't see much of it)
Grand Cayman
It's been an eventful one and I'm so lucky to have seen all these places with my own eyes. It's still hard to believe.
Also, I have a new nickname now "Electric Eric". And that's what I've decided to call my wolf character "Electric". Most of you have known him for a long time as TE. While I can't change old arts now. Electric is what he shall be known as.
BTW, I bought Okami a week or so ago and it rocks! Great game!
But yeah, I'm thankful for all things. And I do hope life continues to get better from here.
Peace out y'all!

General | Posted 19 years agoFor those who don't know, I work on cruise ships as a youth coordinator. I just received the call today I'll be leaving tomorrow for the Norwegian Dream.
http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/fleet/itineraries.html?destinationCode=CARIBBEAN&destinationCode=EUROPE&shipCode=DREAM <--This is where I'll be going. I've been to Mexico before and Belize too but now it'll have Playa Del Carmen, which I've never been to! :) I'm excited!
Wish me luck all. Hopefully the crew will be as nice as the last ship I was on. Good times. :)
