Well this sucks.
General | Posted a year agoBack on the sixth I was stepping out the vehicle with a large box and couldn't see where I was stepping. Left foot went down on a storm drain's incline and my ankle got folded like origami, been bed ridden with a walker since. Honestly I don't know what else to do. My job jerked me around all week about workman's comp so I couldn't even try to see an Ortho like Patient First wanted. It doesn't make me any more optimistic for getting paid while I'm out, or when the pay will come. Not really the type to do this shit but honestly I'm at a loss. For the love of god don't put yourself in a bad situation over me. Sharing it would be enough. I finally have a case number so I can call tomorrow and get seen to find out how bad it is and when I can expect to walk again, much less work. I think the swelling is finally going away. Since it happened my whole foot and lower leg has looked like something hornets got pissed off at. I fucking hate even asking for help but it's not like I could afford a personal loan from my bank on top of the existing bills, and that's even if they'd give it to me. Thank you for at least reading this.

Funny how life works.
General | Posted a year agoWhen I was young I fell in love with a book because it featured, and was all about, my favorite animal. Last year while going through a box of things I haven't touched in a long time I found my copy of it and hugged it while smiling. The book's name is Raptor Red. As you may or may not know it was the sole inspiration behind Talon's creation apart from me loving the dinosaur so much. It's also the reason he's colored like he is, sort of a homage to what I loved most back then. So I'm poking at some random person on a role play place and we start talking. I bring up how Gavin's father is a Utah raptor. She immediately pops off with how much she loved the book too. In all these years I didn't think anybody knew of it much less read it, or loved it. It made me smile so fucking much. I haven't really done much on here in a good while but I wanted to share this because it made me extremely happy. It made my day and then some!

Diablo II Remastered
General | Posted 5 years agoJust wondering how many of my friends intend on playing it. I'd rather play with people I know instead of complete strangers, not that I haven't before. Looking forward to it since I sorely miss the Diablo II days. Had a blast playing it. I had so many friggin mules too, my god. To think. When I finally quit so much crap wasted away. I'll have to collect the runes to give teleporting chestplates to all my non sorc characters again. That'll be fun. Not.
Somber day.
General | Posted 7 years agoI know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I have to talk about this. This morning I was woken up by an uncle who rushed into the house because there was an active shooter at my work place. The person responsible is wounded and in custody at the moment. From what I've been told by co workers four people are dead and many are injured. I panicked and tried to get a hold of both a friend and my best friend, both of whom work days. Thankfully I work night shift. They're alright and despite being atheist I thank god for that. I never thought this kind of disaster would strike so close to home, let alone at my own job.
If you own firearms or know someone who does please invest in trigger locks. These kinds of incidents need to stop. Innocent lives are being lost and innocent people are being harmed. If what I heard is true this happened over a love triangle, a disgruntled female who was messing around with a man she didn't know was married. So people died over nothing. NOTHING. I can't grasp the mere idea of doing something like this over something so trivial, something that could be solved with words. Now I'm terrified to go work because we have a lot of disgruntled people at the warehouse. I think I'm going to be nervous at work for a good long while.

Price check!
General | Posted 8 years agoSo. I'm looking to have a fairly detailed piece done involving five or six characters. Thing is two of them aren't original to the owner, the character itself is but the art is not. So could said art be used as a reference for those characters and how much would something like this run? Basically it's a military piece with each in a lineup I envisioned, various weapons.

From Shakopee Friends and Family:
On October 10th 2014 our dearest friend Keith/Draces was diagnosed with stage 4a colon cancer. He has undergone multiple chemotherapy treatments as well as a complex 11 hour surgery to remove what ended up being a lot more tumors than what was originally found.
The surgeons had to removed his gallbladder, 1/3 of his liver, a foot and a half of large intestines, a small chunk of his duodenum (first part of small intestines) right next to the exit of the stomach, appendix, 22 lymph nodes, tissue around the pancreas and the right kidney.
Because of the surgery done to his small intestines he has to have a temporary ileostomy for the next 3-6 months. Once healed he will have one last surgery so it is no longer needed.
Its been about a month and a half since his surgery which took place on January 29th 2015. Today Keith/Draces went to get what would hopefully have been his last 4 months of Chemotheropy to kill off any possible remaining cancer. Unfortunately when he got his CT scan they found 2 new tumors growing in his liver. He will have to undergo more surgery in about 3 months to remove these tumors.
This is a very difficult time in Keith's/Draces life and he needs the support of his friend and family. Which is why we are coming together to raise money to help him take care of whatever it is he may need to help him through this.
As you may know he has outstanding medical bills which are nearly impossible to handle on his own. Currently he owes about $90,000 in bills. Because of this it is hard for him to enjoy himself and use money for things that make him happy. I know for a fact he is unable to go to Furry Conventions that he wishes he could because of this.
Even if we are donating purely for Keith's/Draces Medical bills, he still would not have the funds to do all the things he loves and just for comfort in this time.
Donations big and small are greatly appreciated. However, if you don't have anything to spare, sharing this page could be just as helpful. Please help this lovable Snow Leopard through his journey and show him how important he is to this world."

Racism ...
General | Posted 10 years agoToday I was supposed to take a co worker and friend to an apartment so she could get information on it because she's facing eviction from the place she can barley afford, and is behind on, right now. I pulled onto the side of 543 where I've seen others and Taxis sit to pick people up from the same spot. The whole way down the turn lane I had my hazards going and when I came to a complete stop I pulled the emergency brake. After that I honked to let her know I was there and looked down to turn off my MP3 player, when I looked back up I saw flashing lights in the rear view right behind me. A cop car, though I don't know if it was state or local.
The cop approached my car and stood at my driver's side window asking if I was alright. I told him that I was okay and I was there to pick someone up, at that point he turned and started walking back to his car. He made it as far as my rear driver's side door. While we had this conversation, and he started to leave, my friend made it from her front door to my passenger side door. When he saw and realized that I was there to pick up a black woman he turned back around and his entire attitude changed. He asked for my driver's licence and registration, I was fine with that because I know it's how cops catch people doing bad things. People who have warrants. I have a spotless record so I wasn't worried. After waiting for five minutes, it could have been a little more, he approached my car again to hand me back my things. I assumed he was going to ask me to not park there again, despite there being a football field's length ( almost ) between my car and where cars in that lane actually turn. I would have had no issue with that. I do what cops ask and always have. Along with giving me back my things he gives me a citation.
Now if he was going to run my information and give me a citation why did he start to head back to his car after our initial conversation? Why did he turn around and change his entire attitude when he realized a black woman is who I was picking up? On top of that he argued with me about how long I had been sitting there, which even my friend pointed out was less than five minutes. That is between stopping, honking, and her getting to my car. I'm livid about this. I never thought that I'd be a victim of racism, or profiling. No matter how you paint it I was targeted because of who and what I was picking up. He was set on leaving me be and letting me go on my way until he found that out. Otherwise he wouldn't have turned to walk back to his car and leave.
That's the email I sent to my local news agency. Honestly? I'm livid about this. I never thought I'd be a victim of it, nor did I dream that it could happen. I'm at a loss of what to do really. Outside of speaking out about it I still have to handle it on a personal level, still considering a lawyer. Even if a judge dismisses the citation I can't let this pass. I refuse to.

Humans being ... human.
General | Posted 12 years agoJust a little venting here, and it has nothing to do with whatever bullshit people are leaving and/or whining over. No I'm not calling certain people cry babies, whining can be justified or be appropriately called crying foul. Since I hold no evidence to say one or the other on matters I'm keeping my nose out it!
Now. Since I've been role playing for eons and I've seen just about everything under the sun, in fictional settings of course, I consider myself a broad minded individual. In fantasy situations I can look at something without bias and see how things are justified or the reason said things attract people, but I never apply those fictional tastes to the person or their real life behavior. Just because someone enjoys murder plots or violence and gore that doesn't make them a monster. If that's true everyone is who touches video games belongs either in prison or in a padded room. As far as fetishes or preferences go there can be an extreme or " dark side " to the content whether it be text based interaction or artwork. Mind you I use the term very loosely, most of what we consider taboo has been beaten into our heads over countless generations. Either it's to drive us away from particular activities or it's designed to steer people's purchasing decisions and life decisions in general. I will not dare say which are important and which are total bullshit, all that will do is start a war and I'm not speaking my piece to light the fuse.
Age play is pretty popular both in role play and art. While some sites have banned it outright others allow it or tolerate it, please if you're for it or against it do NOT post an argument to voice your side's opinions and thoughts. I'm bringing it up for one reason and one reason alone. Judging. Who the fuck are you to judge someone based on tastes that are in a fictional setting? Do you personally follow these people around and catch them LIVING out these online prefrences? Have you crawled under the bed, or looked between the mattresses, and found discs loaded with porn containing under age people? Calling someone a pedophile based on said tastes is pretty ignorant. You're stamping them with a very serious label without knowing one damn bit if their real time activities steer towards whatever content you personally don't agree with. When I first started role playing I was just like that when it came to hermaphrodite characters and ferals. Even the ones who have obvious intelligence and reasoning power. The difference between us? I grew up. So yeah. Unless you know for a fact that someone partakes in these questionable fetishes and tastes in the real world shut the fuck up.
On a last note, in case Dragoneer or some staff member sees this, I am by no means fighting for or condoning said art or content of any sort. This is not a battle for or against it. I'm just sick and tired of people tossing labels around based on fiction. If you think they're all pedophiles then go yell at Stephen King for being a murderer, or better yet petition to have all violent movie watchers thrown in jail for being serial killers.

Path of Exile
General | Posted 12 years agoAwesome game. If you don't know what it is check it out some time, and if you play it let me know. We can group up and run together. Playing alone in games like that doesn't bother me much but I am a social gamer too, happy new year to everyone too.
Looking for people to play with. Playing alone sucks donkey dick especially when you're grinding out a zone or boss for xp or certain gear pieces, as of this moment I have a level 34 Ranger and a level 16 Marauder. I thin it's Marauder anyway, melee isn't quite as fun as ranged but I love his survivability. This go around I payed attention to resists too. Marveil died on the first go, she didn't kill me six times before I killed her. >.>

Help!
General | Posted 12 years agoThat'll teach me to hit enter by mistake after typing the title ....
Anyway! There's two songs I'm looking for. First and foremost is the one I heard during 80s night at work, I usually know them all but this one I must have. It sounds a lot like modern house or dance music but from what I could tell there's virtually no lyrics. Every now and then it sounds like she's saying " Pretty boy " ... and that's all I got on it.
The other song is probably something modern but it's another dance beat more or less, again virtually no lyrics. Which makes it hard as hell to find. When there are lyrics however the song takes a split second pause then picks up into the main beat. I'll figure them out sooner or later ... or I'll pull out all my hair. We shall see who wins!

General | Posted 12 years agoSo I decided to redo my room a bit and while I was downstairs going through a plastic tote I found something I completely forgot about. Eons ago I ordered two dog tags and two watches. Both dogtags have the umbrella logo on them, and one watch has the logo too. Sterling silver .. beautiful thing really. The other watch has the S.T.A.R.S logo. Should I feel bad about being so excited over this? >.>

General | Posted 12 years agoI've noticed a trend that really pisses me off. When someone deserves to be jerked around and spiked on the concrete I don't care, but when someone voluntarily surrenders and the cops STILL do it ( along with various arm twists and a knee to the throat ) it pisses me off. These fuckers need to be stripped of their badge and pushed out of the system. Abuse is abuse no matter who you are or what the law says.
8000 Page Views!
General | Posted 12 years agoNot sure how it got that high. It's not like I draw like a bad ass or compose stories for read, but it does make me feel a little loved as far as a Fursona is concerned. It does make me curious though. Either people watched to catch erotic work, if and when it's done, or for whatever reason they like me. So ... this inquiring mind wants to know. Be kind enough to leave your reason if you would, and I'm betting that at least 80% or more of the watchers aren't even on FA anymore.

1. Hello. My name is Jay and I am an alcoholic. No not really, I can't resist being a smart ass.
2. My first love? I'd rather not talk about how I pissed away that category, being young and all. Greatest love however ... let's just say she didn't want me nearly as bad as I wanted her. That's how it goes though, you can be into someone enough to give Heaven and Hell the stink eye but there's no guarantee the feeling will be mutual.
3. My sperm donor abandoned me before I was born just to show up twenty one years later out of the blue, I broke his jaw in two places. My mother burned me more times then I can count. Grandmother? Well she raised me no thanks to an abuse situation in Texas so if you want to call her my mother then things were pretty good. She got me the help I needed after I got here and raised me pretty good, she's the reason I've never been in jail. My sister's father isn't mine but he's pretty much been that anyway. He never treated me different and I didn't find out he was my " step father " until I was eighteen and they had to hand over my birth certificate. I don't care what some piece of paper says ... Hank is my daddy yo.
4. My taste in music isn't what I'd exactly call stable. So long as it has a beat I like I'll listen to it, which was proven when I did some head bobbing in Virginia to some Indian music. Indian as in the red dot on the forehead, not the native americans. Mostly I listen to Techno, House, and Rock. Since I grew up on 80's music I love that too. I can tolerate very little country and the list of Rap shit is even shorter.
5. You don't need a ten thousand dollar ring and a twenty thousand dollar wedding to love someone. Love is more or less an appreciation, a deep and great one at that, for someone based on who they are .. how they behave .. and how well you get along. No matter how pretty someone is you won't get far without compatibility and communication is the single most important aspect of any relationship. Since there's various degrees of love I can't comment on this one too much.
6. Gaming. Pure and simple. I've been doing it since I was a kid and I'll be doing it until the day I die, just when I'm a old coot my hand to eye won't be as good. Aside from that I love Billiards, Bowling, Badminton, and I really used to be into models. Mostly war birds and tanks.
7. I don't have just one, and it wouldn't be fair to list them because no matter how I do the order people will think it somehow represents where they sit in my life. You know who you are ... you know I love you. What else needs to be said?
8. Right now my most prized possessions belonged to my dog. He was a stray we took in when I was a teenager, ever since I had to put him down I keep his collar and food dish relatively close to me whenever I'm home. It doesn't make it any easier that I still check the floor for him when I get out of bed. Those ASPCA commercials are out to get me too, thank god for clickers.
9. I believe people have a right to do whatever the hell they want so long as it doesn't put another life, or someone's health, at risk. Nothing more .. nothing less.
10. My greatest inspiration has always been me. It sounds selfish but you have to understand I didn't have the colorful and sparkly childhood most people had. The first eight years of my life I was beat with everything from belts to pots and pans, the mental abuse was just as bad too. One night me and sister woke up and we were hungry so we invaded the kitchen to nom on some of the rice crispy treats that were left over from the previous night. What was the dickhead's brilliant solution to it? Tie us to the kitchen chairs and go back to bed. Despite that and the .. uh ... " help " that was required for the following six years. FYI It's why I get really pissy when I get hit in the head, it's one of the few triggers that are still alive and kicking. Despite all of that I've been at my job for eight years now, I'm quite affectionate, and my life is pretty normal. I refused to let it control my life once I was lucid and old enough to understand the situation, though if I ever see him again I very well might up on the telly for the wrong reasons. Revenge is a bitch.
11. Eh. If you count marriages I technically have three sisters and four brothers, but I'll stick to the basic family core. Travis is the eldest little brother and he's in the Army. Idiot jumps out of perfectly good airplanes, but I'm proud of him and then some. He recently made Sergent too. Nicholas is the youngest of the bunch and also homosexual. I'd use the term gay but I don't believe the word applies to a sexual choice, and no I have no issue with his lean towards men. He's my little brother ... he's not doing anything wrong. He could be into purple men with hot pink polkadots and I'd still love him. He's proud of who he is and so am I. He's my wittle Nicholi Bonzai. :3 My sister is kinda a iffy topic. We were somewhat close growing up but after she moved to Texas that went the way of the dinosaurs. I won't be specific and despite the facts I will not insult or otherwise degrade her in a public forum. You can pick your nose but you can't pick your family, eh?
12. The only bag I own is in the basement and it's full of strategy guides from the playstation Era and up. I think the last one I bought was for Xenosaga, and since I got the collectors edition for the soundtrack it's obvious I buy them as keepsakes and less as " cheat guides ". They usually have some artwork in them you know, it's why I've held onto my Dirty Pair manga for so long. Aside from Rose and Dart, Aya Brea, or Vincent Valentine ... Kei and Yuri amuse the hell out of me and they're pretty well fleshed out characters.
13. I ride a fox to work. Really! I sit on her fluffy comfy tail and hitch a ride when she goes somewhere, the best part is she never knows I'm there. That tail can hide ANYTHING I tell you. One time ... I grooming it ... and I found a Boeing 747 Engine in there. I shit you not, thing was brand new too. x.x I do own a 2010 Focus though.
14. I live in a state that thinks taxing the rain is okay. Enough said, right? And people wonder why I don't vote.
15. I love my hands. These are big strong hands ..... No really I love me. When I look in the mirror I'd like to change some things, like these god damn dumbo ears, but overall I'm happy with moi. If I had to pick one thing I love the most it'd have to be my sense of humor. I can openly joke about things most people gasp over or blush at.

I shall do the other fifteen next week. Yeah I know you know this day by day but I cheated, and really it's not my fault. I was bored and it just so happens Sori was the last one to comment to me on here so if anything you can gnaw on her leg. In other news I've officially transitioned over to Blu Ecigs. No more tar and chemicals, and no more pissing off non smokers. Yet I still get my stress relief yay.

General | Posted 12 years agoEver break down and lose it in a public place? Yeah, friend of mine had the brilliant idea to take me into a pet shop. The goal was to check out the snakes but on the way there was some pups ... and one of them looked exactly like the one I used to have. I need a machine to kill off attachments and emotions. They've only been kicking my ass since last year. -.-

anaruuOdd Man Out
General | Posted 13 years agoSo me and some friends got together at Outback. Don't know how but we started talking about marriage, and as each turn was taken four or more girl's names came out. They all shut up when I said one name and one alone. Awkward for me, but it's the truth. I've dated my fair share of women and never even thought about it, but with one ... she could have asked not even a week after getting together. I would have said yes without hesitation or even thinking about it. Apparently they think that's weird. Though some of the girls across of us kind of looked at me like I was a puppy or kitten. >.>
Merry Christmas To All
General | Posted 13 years agoTwas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone, in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone. I had come down the chimney with presents to give, and to see just who in this home did live. I looked all about, a strange sight I did see, no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
No stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand, and on the wall pictures of far distant lands. With medals and badges, awards of all kinds, a sobering thought came to my mind. For this house was different, so dark and so dreary, the home of a soldier, now I could see clearly.
The soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone, curled up on the floor in this one bedroom home. The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder, not how I pictures a United States soldier. Was this the hero of whom I'd just read? Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed?
I realized the families that I saw this night owed their lives to these soldiers who were willing to fight. Soon round the world, the children would play, and grownups would celebrate a bright Christmas day. They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year, because of the soldiers, like the one lying here.
I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone, on a cold Christmas eve in a land far from home. The very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to m knees and started to cry. The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice, " Santa don't cry, this life is my choice. I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more, my life is my God, my country, my corps. " The soldier rolled over and soon drifted to sleep, I couldn't control it, I continued to weep. I kept watch for hours, so silent and still, and we both shivered from the cold evening's chill.
I didn't want to leave on that cold, dark, night, this guardian of honor so willing to fight. Then the soldier rolled over, with a voice soft and pure, whispered, " Carry on Santa, it's Christmas day, all is secure. " One look at my watch and I knew he was right. " Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night. "

Early Resolution
General | Posted 13 years agoSo. Quitting smoking isn't all it's cracked up to be, that is how people say it's hard. I've done it with no trouble at all. I guess it's because my body adapts fast as fuck. The only killer about quitting is smoking used to be a mini time killer for me, I knew I could kill ten minutes lighting one so commercials suddenly seem to last an eternity now. Time too for that matter. I know my electronics doesn't miss it, and I sure as hell don't miss having to wipe down my monitor and TV every week just to keep the colors popping. It was weird really. Was sitting there one day with a smoke in my mouth and suddenly got the mood, or urge, to quit.
Medical Advice
General | Posted 13 years agoI've been cut many times at work but this time was different. Basically a pointed spring's edge ran across the area just inside my left thumb, the whole thing is three inches long but only two inches is bad. The skin can be pulled apart and it reveals a greyish-blue layer with miniscule traces of small red veins of sorts I guess. I soaked the entire wound with antiseptic spray and covered with sterile gauze then wrapped it. I don't know if the blue layer was the second layer down or if it was actually tendon, I'm purposely avoiding bending my thumb or putting any strain on the area to let it heal. Am I right with my assumptions on what it was, and if seeing it is a really bad thing. The cut itself wasn't that deep at all ... but it's not something I've seen before so it has me weirded out.
