Yes, that's correct the time nears for the annual cookout! This will be a fursuit friendly event so please feel free to wear if you've got one! But do be mindful of the weather and dress accordingly.

Pictures will be taken and you are duly encouraged to take pictures and video of the event :) If you do take pictures post them to the group. If you have anything you'd like to bring please let me know. If you've any food allergies please be sure to let me know so I can alert anyone who'd be bringing food

It's been awhile, there are so many different mediums for communication, and organization -- and along with the password resets, this account was almost lost in time and space!

But here are a few updates for anyone still actively following!

1. We have an official telegram, details for how to join are on the main page of this account. Get out of your shells and come make noises at us!

2. We have a website/calendar that gets updated fairly frequently and has a list of events on it! Get off your fuzzy butts and come hang out with us!

3. Megaplex 2016 just ended, and while we all may have PCD, it's time to start preparing for Megaplex 2017! Remember, panelists, staff, volunteers, are all needed! On top of that, we are looking to host a Tampa Furs meet and greet at next years convention as well!

Hello, all of you furry fuzzbutts!

We here at Tampa Furs would like to let everybody know that we are now operating under new management. We'd like to give everybody a short overview of what this means for you, and what we plan to do to keep this page active! If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns please feel free to note us here, and we'll be sure to respond as soon as possible!

So for starters, the biggest thing this means for you, the watcher, is that we will be a lot more active, and we'll try to relay any information we're given as soon as we can.

Secondly, we are going to try to run with a concerted effort from multiple individuals who just want to see a successful furry community grow out of this area. This means that even if one or two of us are busy with real life business, that the page won't go on hold for one or two days until we can "get around to it."

Third on this list is that we have added a GroupMe page to the profile info! We looked into a few of the other groups we've been informed of, and other than the GroupMe and Facebook, most seemed pretty inactive. If we overlooked something, please, send us info in a note and we'll post it ASAP!

Last, but definitely not least, if for whatever reason we feel we cannot run the page anymore, we will definitely try to find a passionate community organizer who is more than suited for the task of updating this page and organizing the community.

Again, thanks for being with us throughout the years, and we deeply apologize for the radio silence!

Sorry this is such short notice, I was out of town without much internet access, but  lilhoneypup and  KikoKuruma are having a meet at Veterans Memorial Park.
Nothing is really required but you can bring badges if you wanna and maybe some snacks/drinks. We'll probably be at the pavilion alongside the jogging trail that runs alongside spring hill drive. So pretty much just park and follow the walkway along the front fence.

Again this meet is from NOON until 2'oclock.

Hey ya'll, I called the minigolf place and the man I spoke to said they have 3 parties going that day. So please show up promptly at 5pm so we can get on the field in between groups.

So I was thinking about doing another meet either later this month or next month! Quick question:

Would you rather do:
-bowling?
-park meet?

Keep in mind most of the bowling alleys around here do not allow fursuiting, unless someone has a connection and can get it allowed. If we do a park meet it will be in a shared pavilion outdoors and the weather is warming up.

EDIT: Furryfreak suggested a great idea; Monster Mini Golf we can suit and be indoors. Does anyone want to do this?

Also I would like to apologize for my lack of activity on here. My grandma passed away in December and we started taking care of my 90 year old grandpa (who had dementia) until he passed away in February. So my family life has allowed me little time between taking on new responsibilities and work. I'm really sorry for neglecting this group so long. As an aside, apologies for not updating as much. We (skiota and teahound) had a death in the family, and so may be slow to respond to things. Please contact musingazrael for any info about this party!

Ok so....first off I wanted to say I'm sorry to all the people who watch Tampa furs. Both Teahound's and my life have been crazy busy with work and medical expenses piling up so I apologize for the lack of activity.

SO! To make up for it I have a few idea's in mind.

November; Thanksgiving. Does anyone NOT have a place to go for the holiday? Would people who don't have anywhere to go be interested in getting together and eating together and stuff? I'm not sure if I could personally host this event, as my family would look down on it if I wasn't there. If there is interest would someone loan space for this to be located at? If interest is indicated I'd make a new journal to hash out details or schedule an instant messenger conference chat XD

December; Lowry Park Zoo December 3, 9-11, 16-23 & 26-30 • 7-10 p.m.

Would anyone be interesting in a meetup at this event? If this is too expensive then maybe the $5 day in January? ($5 day at the Zoo is awesome but it's extremely crowded just as a heads up!)

Is anyone doing a New Years Eve Party; how many people are interested in that?

had a pretty good idea for a yard sale that sounds interesting, so I'm posting about it and letting you all decide if you like the idea.

 MusingAzrael has donated his house again for this month's meet up. The event is bring your own meat; you bring hot dogs, hamburgers or even steak etc, and it will be cooked outside on the backyard grill.

Plates, cups and some chips will be provided, however, please bring a soda or something to share as it will not be provided.

Also, Azrael is asking for a few people to bring a fold out table and anyone who can bring extra chairs would be appreciated! (Without the tables, the sound system cannot be set up outside.)

Not much going on in the area except for  lightbringer's new years eve party. (see journal below)

Just letting you know I'm not going to be around until after the New Year much, we have family flying in, and all kinds of stuff going on. After the 1st, the company I work for is going to be moving locations to a biggernicer place, so I will be busy and exhausted doing that too. (It's a small business).
