So it turns out I've been gone for a while...

According to my message history I haven't been on here in three or four years and actually posted anything in close to 9. It just seems so surreal.

Life kind of hit me and almost any kind of being social fell to the wayside as I tried to navigate.

All in all, things aren't bad and I'm thinking about trying to post again but my issue is juggling content, 3 kiddos and an oddly taxing night shift job that throws my energy levels to the wind. I'm willing to give it a shot.

I started this journal, intending for it to be a little update of sorts but I may use it as an accountability post to "start a fire under my ass" and keep things moving forward.

So i know i haven't been posting anything for over a year now. but thats about to change.
I recently went to my first con (FE2013) and it has inspired me to return to my goal of bettering my artwork. not even 12 hours after being home, i just finished a piece for one of the furs i got to meet this weekend...eventually i plan to do one for all of the furs i got to meet this past weekend.

I've realised once again how fun it is just to get outdoors and get back into my shutterbuggedness (doubt its a word bit idc :P). i just figured id give some background on my exploits.

throughout my life i've only shot on 4 different cameras, only one of which actually being mine :P

my mom taught me alittle about how cameras work with her old film camera (so i have a very vague memory of now that works well sort of). I'd have to ask her what kind of camera it is...Cause she still has the thing and it still works!

My mom's first digital camera was an older version of a kodak easyshare. I cant remember the model number but i had it more than she did. I still feel bad cuz i ended up falling on it one day on my way home from school and i broke it :( When she replaced that one she got a Canon Powershot A630...and whenever she wasnt paying attention, id find a way to sneak it away and go for a stroll :P

My Dad got fed up with me mooching that one, and mom got tired of always having a full memory card so for my B-day/ Early B-day gift they got me my own camera. (A Canon Powershot A570 IS)

Now considering i got My A570 at the end of 2007 and my luck with cameras, I'm really surprised how long it's managed to last. The 570 is the camera I still have today, and was what I used to take the pictures you see uploaded here.

Now i will admit, i am a very amateur person when it comes to photography. I normally use the basic settings on my camera, but i do try and use all of the different modes on my camera wheel thingy. I know there is so much more i could be doing with my little camera but im very paranoid about messing up my camera more than it it already :P

This is all also direct upload, as i dont have any editing software :P

anyways this is getting kinda long (was intended to be a quick ramble) If you have any ideas of where i should shoot (especially if you live in my area, Note me and ill see what i can do)

SIDENOTE: I will be revisiting some of my locations and reshooting once the leaves start turning, im pretty sure i can get some stunning shot from around town so keep watch :P
