DONE WITH EMT CLASS! passed of course, paying my application fees for certification tomorrow and scheduling my state exam!

got a 90 on my written final. just gotta pass the practical on thurs

Mon- Class 10am-5pm
Wed- Class 10am-5pm (including a test) Work 5-9:15
Fri- Review 9am-12pm Work 5pm-9pm
Sat- Clinical 9am-1pm
Mon- FINAL EXAM 9am, Open Lab when exam is over till whenever
Thurs- Practical final 10am (where im given scenarios and tested based on what i do)

Only a couple more weeks left here and only 2 more classes, should be emt certified in a month :)

Had my hospital rotation today for my EMT class. Experienced my first code (patient has cardiac arrest) We helped with CPR and ventilating him with the Bag Valve Mask. Needless to say after everything we did and the 45 minutes we worked to get him back, he passed. Death is not a pretty thing, smells of vomit, urine and feces. It's sort of a thing i have to learn to numb myself to. It didn't bother me a whole lot, just gotta tune out the part of me that thinks about the family. Anyways, class is EXACTLY 3 weeks from finals on tomorrow. CRUNCH TIME this week is full i have an ambulance ride Tues, and 2 hospital rotations, and work of course. FUN TIMES, hope everyone else is doing well.

Im still alive, busy as all hell but still kicking. School is taking up all my free time. My suit was sold to a good friend since i won't be able to get any use out of him anytime soon. He's in good hands. One month away from my EMT certification. Going to go to school today to get financial aide ironed out so i can go to the fire academy in the spring. I'm excited seems like it'll be a very fun experience. Anyways wanted to let everyone im still here and i do check my FA every so often even though im not to active. Drop me a comment or shout sometime! Oh yea to those people that were talking about me when they had no idea what was going on, I've been totally sober since the end of august so keep talking about how much pot i smoke and how much i drink. It's totally the cool thing to do :)

I'm exactly 3 months away from being EMT certified, makes it worth the mount everest i call homework

so sorta changed a bunch of shit in my life to try to alleviate stress, seeing as how the field im going into is one of the most stressful fields. I've quit smoking green and ciggarettes (weed because once my clinical shifts start ill have randoms) I've started eating healthier and exercising regularly. School's started and i actually love my classes and find them fun and exciting. Lots of homework but it'll be worth it in the long run. got a new-ER car, an '01 civic, good gas milage :)

My current education/career plan:
-In EMT-basic certification classes now (completion 12/10)
-get an emt job
-Fire school (out by 08/11)
-Get in with a fire dept (have 2 years to get paramedic certification)
-Medic cert (3 semesters)
-AS in Emergency Medical Sciences (4 classes)
-AS in Fire Science (3 semesters)

Lots to do in the future but i know ill be happy with my decision.

Trying to reconnect with old friends and mend some broken friendships now, but other than that life's good

Sorry its been forever since i've updated anything but im really going through a tough spot in life. School's starting soon, work has been sucking and my grandmother and great grandfather haven't been doing too well. My grandmother's got COPD and luckily she's found a doctor that specializes in just COPD and can hopefully help make her healthy again. and I broke up mutually after a few months of rough waters. she still means the world to me and we both agree that we've basically grown up together and will always be friends. I will never have anything but respect for her. She is one great woman. My great grandfather who i visited about 3 weeks ago in ohio had a new pacemaker put in at the ripe age of 87 is still standing on his own two feet which makes me nothing but happy. I also went to his house and he had a glock sitting on his coffee table which made me realize how shitty the neighborhood has gotten around there. He's been in that house for 57 years and will not part with it no matter how much all of us try to convince him that it's bad to be there. I'm heading to school in the fall to finish up my EMT-B certification, soon I'll be saving lives. Hopefully this will help me get back on my own two feet and move out again. I miss my independence.

Well, my life lately has been a roller coaster, going from living on your own with 2 other people around your age to living with 7 other people now. 4 of them being 18 or younger is a huge difference for me and im still not quite used to it. My dad and step mother are having health problems, my 18 year old step brother still hasnt found a job and really i see no motivation in him to find one. Papa johns is alright, i have my good and bad nights. My car is fixed now, so i do have some freedom and can come and go as i please. But being the only one working in the household, its hard. I got a new laptop, a present from my step mother. Its nice and this one actually has a battery that can hold a charge :D. The only thing in my life that is always sunny and bright is my relationship with shes definitely the best thing to ever happen to me. We may not see each other as much as we please but, its that much better when we do see each other. She helps me out when i need it as far as being my venting post and she's such a great listener. 4 years 2 months today :D

Oh, and usually there's only 6 people in my house but the other 2 are here because the lady cant find another job got evicted and has a kid. so my stepmom let them in here for 3 weeks. another 2 weeks of hell to go
