Better be safe than sorry
General | Posted 10 years ago"Better be safe than sorry". I have said that to someone last year. He had a lot of unprotected fun with people he said he trusted. But trust does not protect you from infections! Just some minutes of fun can ruin your whole life. Now he is very, very, very sorry. He was recently tested positive for HIV.
What even bothers me most is, that the potential person, who infected him, does not even care. He refuses to get tested and continues to have unprotected fun with other furries. Don't be dumb. Protect your own health! You are worth it! An infection like this is something final as it cannot be undone.

Beginners questions...
General | Posted 10 years agoSometimes I read posts from pretty new furs. What I read quite often is: "How do I create a Furry?". Well...the answer is easy. Just find a mate of the opposite gender, turn the lights off and...well you know. After 9 months you will get a raw version of a furry. Now do a proper job as parents and voila: After 16 more years of raising and education you may get your own Furry.
The Fox and the Bad Guy
General | Posted 10 years agoI know a furry that lives in a nearby town. He owns a small town house there together with his wife and his kid. It is a very harmonic and happy family. He worked in a company as IT manager and his wife worked in a kindergarten. His kid loved to play baseball and was happy, when his dad watched him while playing. Every Sunday they usually do small trip into the surrounding nature. They feel close to nature when they camp at that small lake nearby, singing songs along while the campfire sends sparkles into the air like small fireworks. Sometimes they even saw a fox strolling by. This always brought up the father’s mood, because his fursona is a fox and he loves to see them in nature.
One day they got a new neighbor. For weeks they never made any contact, but then the new neighbor found out, that he was living next to a furry. Not knowing what furry really is all about he started to give bad comments in his direction. “Furfag…die in hell sucker!”. The father was shocked and asked, why he does that. The only reply he got was that all furries are bad and should die instantly. The following weeks he continues to insult this family and refused to talk to them so he could learn them more about then. After some really bad insults the neighbor planned to go shopping in the next city. While passing the woods by car a fox appeared and crossed the street just in front of the him. In shock he turned the steering wheel causing the car to leave the road and finally hit a tree. He woke up, laying aside the car covered by blood with various wounds. As he opened his eyes the fox was staring deeply right into his eyes. Suddenly he felt guilty for insulting the family…then the fox disappeared. Shortly after that the ambulance vehicle came by and brought him to a clinic nearby for medical treatment. After that, the new neighbor was not seen again by the family. It seems he moved away in a hurry.

Fact or Fiction? A visit to an esoteric shop
General | Posted 10 years agoI have a friend who is a furry. You maybe know people, which do play computer games and are creating an avatar in those games. A furry does the same, but they do “transport” their Fursona into reality by drawing pictures, telling stories or even wearing a fursuit looking like their Fursona and acting with it. I like that more than people, who are only playing computer games all day. But sometimes strange things do happen. In this case my friend has chosen to be a dragon. He ordered drawings of his Dragon-Fursona from artists and was enjoying this results. He also does act in his dragon fursuit.
Some time ago he visited a friend in another country, where he never been before. He had a nice visit there and saw a lot of the local attractions. One day they have chosen to visit an esoteric shop. As they entered the shop there were a lot of magical things to see and buy. You could buy things like pendulums, tarot cards, whitchboards and many, many more things like that. He also noticed that the shop keeper looked quite authentic. It was almost as if she was a part of that shop. After looking around for quite some time my friend noticed that the shop keeper was staring at him. In fact she didn’t put her eyes off for a single second. Then my friend went to her to pay the things he wanted to buy. She took the money from him; not stopping to stare at him at the same time. As he was just about to leave the shop she said: “Good bye, Dragon”. My friend stopped. How was this possible? It’s not like he had Dragon things with him so you could easily guess it. It was more like she knew…shocked from this thought he left the shop not stopping to think about it all evening.

Relationship and Pain
General | Posted 11 years agoHi,
there are people there how really give each other a pretty hard time. But they still say they love each other.
The damage that has been done at both side is so massive; so huge. I can't possibly think of how to heal that. And I'am really curious if they can do that. If they survive that I don't think anything else would be able to damage that relationship.
Honesty and faith are two of the important keys in a relationship. Never forget that.
A relationship also means that you give something, but also let yourself receive something. Its always in two directions.
Someone just posted a good thing on Facebook:
"Never give up on someone you can't go a day without thinking about."
If they both think like that, there should be a solution. Even it will be VERY tough.
Regards,
Tanor

Lifestories
General | Posted 11 years agoHi,
I just want to thank all furs, who shared their life stories with me. It is a great honor for me to be allowed to listen to those.
Since now I have listened to quite a lot stories. So far I have heard stories about successes, but also diseases, financial disasters, death, relationship-problems, drugs, crime and much more.
I have especially a deep respect for the ones, who ended far down the drain but stood up again and started again to get back into live. What I have found is that the furs with the worst stories are now the friendliest furs I know and the ones with the most empathy.
I also heard lot stories of broken people that got help from furries and became furries because of that. I do not mean financial broken. I mean broken personalities because of things that happened.
I for myself had an incident with my health. To cope with that I have started to write a book about it…which starts in the real world and shifts into fiction. I guess it will take some time to finish it. (its an anthro story in german as it is my native language)
If you meet a fur that will stick to his fursona and is not willing ever to change it….there is often a very good reason behind it. Most ordinary people have no idea how personal a fursona can be…
Thanks for sharing your stories with me! I love you all.

Tanor
