2022 in review and the year ahead
Posted 3 years agoSo, 2022 is officially gone into the record books. It's definitely been a wild year for me, between continuing to meet literally dozens and even hundreds of friends, attending my very first furry convention ever, and some deep personal introspection revealing parts of myself which I didn't even know I wasn't accepting.
To address that last one in the event you don't follow my Twitter, over the past 8-10 months I've been doing a lot of soul-searching/introspective thinking to try and tackle the simmering malaise that never quite seems to leave. The end result of this process, about a week before Christmas, led to my acknowledging and accepting that I am genderfluid, as well as the creation of a new sona, Isla, to reflect when I am female presenting (I apologize in the event I am inadvertently offending folks with my verbiage, but it's what makes sense to me and so is how I'm going to explain it :3).
Anywho, on to different topics, am looking ahead with optimism toward 2023, I do intend to try to find a better work-personal balance that allows for me to not be constantly be experiencing whiplash to the point of feeling like I'm two different people timesharing the same body, and to allow me to actually figure out what I want to do with myself in the long term. I've got my job, and while I do intend to make it my career, pending issues that I will not go into for any reason, it's not something I really enjoy doing. Is just a matter I think of having too many hobbies and interests that all require in-depth focus/effort, and trying to do them all at once results in not having any significant progress on getting better at it (see my art, my writing, my painting, my 3D modeling, my streaming, etc...)
Anyway, going to at least leave off the complaining here, I always get stressed when starting to open up and share more of what's dragging on me in my personal life. But, at the end of the day, all of you folks continue to help make things better and inspire me to be a better person :3

Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful people
Posted 3 years agoKnow I'm not as active with these journals as I ought to be, but wanted to say how much I love and appreciate all of you here as well. I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday weekend with your friends and loved ones, and if you aren't, then expect a parasaur and a couple donkaroos to come over shortly.
Love you all so much, and Merry Christmas :3

Another Year Around The Sun
Posted 3 years agoKeepin this one short due to planned IRL shenanigans I'm workin on, but have made it one more year around the bend, so now an uninterrupted streak of 36 :3
Want to thank each and every one of you for making this year survivable and fun, even if you only dropped a single fave up to the folks who message me daily. It truly means a lot to me every time I log in and see the numbers showing new comments/interaction with you all :3

State of the Dino: 700 Watcher Edition
Posted 3 years agoSo has been a while since I've written anything here as far as formal updates, been a lot more active with my Twitter as far as normal interaction kind of stuff. But, wanted to commemorate hitting yet another milestone with all of you wonderful folks :3. Still stunned every time I think about how so many of you decided to follow along with my spastic antics and sometimes dry wells of inactivity :3
I'm still waking up/recovering from having worked a stretch of overnight shifts so not going to go into a huge spiel on my life and what kind of future plans I've got because brain no worky. But, I want instead to reach out to all of you and thank you for continuing to add a chaotic splash of color to my life, my days would be infinitely less fun without you :3
There is stuff I'm planning to start revealing in the coming weeks, but just tough with the work schedule I keep and IRL obligations going on, but am hoping to wrestle some of that into line soon and be better able to be active here as well as Twitter :3
Keep being the best you, keep being excellent to each other, and know I love each and every one of you to death (doesn't matter how much or little we might talk)

So, the time has come...
Posted 3 years agoSo, the moment has finally come. I’ve argued with myself back and forth until I’m blue in the face on whether I wanted to do this, but it’s been a common enough request from so many different people that the only common denominator is me and I can’t come up with other reasons.
So, I am going to formally open for writing commissions. There’s a lot of reasons that are feeding into this decision, and I’ve shared them with some of you, but I won’t here because I’d prefer folks choose to commission me based on the quality of my work.
Anyway, on to the commission info!
First, there’s a couple ground rules/expectations that we need to go through first. This is not my primary job, and while I will dedicate my best effort to working on the stories, I can sometimes be saddled with up to 60 hour work weeks so a little bit of patience will be required. I will always communicate when my job is likely to cause interference as I can, though sometimes last-minute things will come up.
Second, the pricing model. This is the thing that I’ve struggled with more than any other part of this decision. I’ll be the first person to undervalue anything that I create, so I spent a lot of time looking at the different artists I follow who also do writing commissions and settled on setting the price by the word count. So anything between 0 and 2500 words will cost $0.06 per word, while anything from 2501 to 5000 words will be $0.07 a word. At this time I won’t go over 5000 words, though I am giving thought to how a model could work for that length of a story. To give an idea, my Don’t Feed the Dinosaurs story is 2476 words in length, so is an approximate idea for how long a 2500 word story would be. For a story that long, the price would come out to $150 USD. I will always discuss pricing upfront with you prior to you sending me the money. Finally, if the story involves one of my characters, then I will apply a 10% discount to the cost. Be advised that this might change what the Will/Won’t list applies since some of my characters don’t do certain things, but I will discuss this upfront with you as well.
Next, the payment. For the time being I will only be using Paypal. I know other options exist and will explore them for those who cannot use Paypal. But for the time being that’s how it’ll be. Once the price is settled out and payment is received, I’ll create a Google Doc with commenting privileges enabled for you to make any suggestions/corrections on, since my job prevents me from being able to access my phone for 8-12 hours a day. This process might change once I get a couple stories under my belt, but again, for now that’s how it’ll go.
Next, the Will/Won’t list! This isn’t an ironclad list, there may be things that I forgot to include or didn’t think of, but I will communicate upfront if I need to reject a commission for some reason.
So without further rambling, things I will write:
Fully SFW stories (obviously)
Soft Vore
Digestion (no graphic digestion, mild realism is fine)
Adult Content (requires 18+ confirmation)
Things I will not write under ANY circumstance
Underage
Gore
Hard Vore
Disposal
Watersports
Hyper
Finally, the answer to the question that is probably by now pulling your hair to be asked, when will this happen? I’ll be opening the window for commissions this Friday the 11th at 8am Eastern Time, and will close it at 8am on Saturday the 12th. Once I go through the submissions, I’ll select five as the first batch. Once those are all complete, I’ll evaluate how I feel and how soon I can reopen. If your submission was selected, you will go on a temporary list so that for the next round, I will consider submissions from those who were not picked previously to allow other folks a shot, as well as to increase the variety. This list will only last for that next selection, so in theory if someone were to submit stellar ideas every time, they could at most be chosen every other window.
The submission format for your story idea should be as follows:
Desired Length (increments of 250 please, for all our sanities):
Theme:
Character(s) involved:
Any reference material you have: Links to character’s imagery, personality information, etc. The more the better to help get inside your character's head.
Note me this information on FA, if you do not have an FA but have a way to reach me on another platform like Discord or Telegram those are also options, am just trying to keep things consolidated.
Whew, that’s a ton of text to dump on you all at once, so here’s the summary:
- I’ll be opening for story commissions on Friday, February 11th at 8am EST, closing the window on the 12th at 8am
- Stories 2500 words or lower will be $0.06 per word, 2501 to 5000 will be $0.07 per word.
- Please note me on FA or other platform if you don’t have FA using the above format
- If you wish the story to include one of my characters, a 10% discount applies
If there’s any part of this I didn’t explain as well as I could have, feel free to ask! I promise I don’t bite anywhere as much as my dinos do.

One year account anniversary!
Posted 4 years agoHard to believe that one year ago I decided to openly participate in the furry community after so long as a lurker. I've met so many people in this past year that it's literally impossible to keep up with all of you and yet I'm still driven to try :3
Currently still busy with the aftermath/part 2 of the move, which is the moving in process. It's going fairly well for only having lived in the new house for 3 days, but still got a lot of unpacking/organizing to do and that's not counting the full shipment of stuff still on the way, to include as an example 6 stuffed to the brim 27 gallon tubs, a bunch of filled to the top boxes, two gigantic tubs, a standing bike, and my big electric scooter. Unfortunately, this shipment is still stuck somewhere in oceanic limbo because the US cannot figure out how to handle congested ports.
I am just kidding, I understand the myriad interlocking issues facing the woefully outdated port infrastructure, it's just frustrating when my desktop PC is sitting in limbo and my laptop just doesn't have the horsepower to really game at all.

State of the Dinosaur: 500 Watcher edition
Posted 4 years agoContrary to those lazy fossils slacking off in the dirt, I am very much still alive! Just in the middle of roadtripping across the US with the wife to my next place of work/residence on the East Coast. It has been one heck of a trip, having crossed ten states already, and at least five more to go before all is said and done. I've gotten to meet some of my closest digital friends (including attending one's wedding in a raptor costume, which was epic), which has been a delight and promises to be for the friends I've yet to meet on this trip. There will be more art getting uploaded at some point in the future, but for now have been enjoying taking a step back and unplugging some, so expect that to continue until we get to our destination, get settled, and I get my desktop back and properly set up again. Will try to keep you all posted either here or on my Twitter!
Also, now over 500 watchers!!!! I am still floored by even a tenth of that number following me, and am definitely cookin up ideas for drawing something to commemorate it :3

400 Watchers!?!?!?
Posted 4 years agoWhew nelly, I anticipated it at any moment, and am still floored by all the love and support of all you wonderful people. It means so much to me, and is always fun to load FA to see what new notifications come up and see your thoughts on my commissions and my art :3. Looking forward to continuing to better my craft and give all of you the art you deserve :3
Definitely planning to continue expanding the collection of herbivore pred art, as well as some non-vore pieces (and some saucy ones too if you're inclined to that sort of thing~)

THIS IS SPARTA!!!! 300 Watcher Special
Posted 4 years agoTitle jokes to the side, hooooo boy, I'd never have expected to get to this milestone, let alone within a year of becoming a more open/active furry (or scalie I guess, though dinosaurs didn't really have scales per se...). But wanted to thank each and every one of you wonderful folks for following me. I definitely intend to be a bit more active in the future, got some commission ideas planned as well as wanting to get back into trying to draw some things :3
Eat Your Friends Day, and other news
Posted 4 years agoSo first, happy Eat Your Friends Day! I know I certainly got to meet and introduce a ton of people to Concerto up close and personal :3...
But teasing aside, I wanted to extend a mass thank you to all the new watchers who've decided to follow the organized madness that is my account :3. Normally I try to personally thank each person individually for the follow, but there's been so many of you over the past couple days that I've not been able to keep up while dealing with the aftermath of the fire last week.
And speaking of, things are at least starting to look up for finally getting a semblance of order going again. We started moving into the new apartment today, and getting a basic set of kitchen supplies and other essentials, plus my husband's replacement desktop and other things to get him reconnected to his digital support network.
And speaking of support, I want to say just how floored we both are by all the support we've received from so many people. The love and kind words has absolutely made this hideous process so much easier, and reminds me of all the great things this community, and people in general, is capable of. I wish I could line all of you and give you a Certified Grade-A Dinosaur Hug (patent pending), but even that wouldn't be enough.
Continue to be awesome, everyone!

State of the Dino: 200 Watchers or What Is Sleep?
Posted 4 years agoAs the title says, I now officially have 200 of you wonderful scamps following me, and that's... well, I'm still waking up so my brain is struggling to come up with the words to describe how happy it makes me feel.
And for the second part of the title, I'm hoping to be able to actually get some stuff uploaded again soon, I know I've kind of vanished the past couple weeks, just work's been super super busy and so my usual daily routine is "work, come home, sleep, get up for work", even on the 'weekend' heh. But planning to try getting back on the drawing, see about at least improving my heads/facial expressions some.
But until then, know that I appreciate each and every one of you, and you are all amazing at being you :3

Into the Home Stretch
Posted 5 years agoSo finally getting on board with one of these 2020 closeout journals, and have some things to say on this roller coaster dumpster fire of a year.
To start off, some positivity. I have only been really active with the furry/vore community here and on Twitter for... Jeez, has it really not even been two months yet? Feels like it's been a lot longer. I've been active on Discord for only fractionally longer than that, but not by more than like three weeks. Since that time I've made more friends than I have arm span to hug (and not just because some of you cheat by being bigger than me even before you shovel someone down your throat :3), gotten back into art after, I'm not even joking, nearly 15 years of hating my slowly growing skill due to a terrible professor, and being even more able to be open and true to myself and begin to heal mental, emotional, and spiritual damage that I'd patched over so well I didn't even realize it was still causing me harm.
I'm going to call out particular people in this section, but please do not mistake it: If you've left even a single word on something I've submitted or said on this website, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, wherever, I am truly moved and inspired by all of it. From a simple like on a Twitter post to the literal paragraphs I've gotten here and on Discord, it all makes me feel that warm feeling in the crusty bottom of my 65 million year old heart, and drives me to try and be a better person every day. Some people in particular who have especially been motivators every day (though this is by no means an exclusive list if your name isn't up here, I just only have so much room on the page/time remaining before 2020 ends for me)
For being my guiding star, and the inspiration that motivates me above all others to get out of bed and at least make the effort to smile every day no matter how bad it seems. I love you with every fiber of my soul until the day after the stars go out
for seeing past my self-denigrating habits and helping me to realize myself as a better artist and person
for being a true friend and dino belly buddy, is always a joy to see your icon pop up in Discord
for putting up with my 11th hour rantings and constant second-guessing
For all of the Discord conversations and Telegram sticker wars
For being one of my besties and fellow gossip/sass master, always got your back going forward
For being my other bestie and fellow gossip/sass master, 2021's not gonna know what hit it with the two of us :3
For both all your supportive words and the chances to be your friend
For all the amusing Telegram chats, sticker wars, and kind words
For all the listening you've given and all the late night conversations when we both should have been sleeping
For all the check in pings you sent, even when you wake me up mid-sleep, they always put a smile on my face
I'd list more people here, but for some reason my eyes are getting too watery to see my keyboard, so I will close this out with a little more serious of a note, then my final thoughts. 2020 has been a culminating year for a lot of negative things, on top of the new things to kick us when we're down (lookin at you COVID). The continued rise of overly identarian and tribalistic "us or them" behaviors; over-partisan politics; a rising malaise and almost apathy to trying to reach out beyond our comfort zones to talk to people who's opinions we disagree with for fear of a mostly poorly defined fear of the "other"; and even worse, a persistent feeling of hopelessness that things cannot and will not get better. I know I've said it often in one on one and small group discussions with a lot of people, but I truly believe in the promise of the next day, the next hour, the next minute, the next moment having the potential to be better than the last. It calls on each and every one of us to reach through the hurt, the fear, the scars, and all the voices trying to shout us down that it's impossible for any one person to change things, to grab that better future and hold on tight. And I know that we can all do it, and will always hold my hand out to help any person climb to their feet and move forward. I have faith in each and every one of you, and cannot wait to see how awesome we make 2021.

For all the check in pings you sent, even when you wake me up mid-sleep, they always put a smile on my faceI'd list more people here, but for some reason my eyes are getting too watery to see my keyboard, so I will close this out with a little more serious of a note, then my final thoughts.
And rememberBe excellent to each otherUntil tomorrow, alwaysState of the Artist 20DEC2020
Posted 5 years agoSo, since it's been a hot minute since I've posted anything, I at least wanted to reach out to you wonderful people who have given me a watch to let you know what's goin on in my life right now.
Going into the Xmas week I'm not doing too bad, finally back in my own apartment and not needing to go back and forth to another work site every week. Just been a bit drained this weekend (really the past couple weeks) and as a result just haven't had the drive to really draw anything or write on the next story in my post-Jurassic World setting. I do intend to try and have it done soon, just still recharging my batteries. I've been getting more and more active with Twitter at least, but I figure once I get more recharged/relaxed I'll be in a better spot, and the Idea Fairies will deposit ideas on the surface of my brain xD.
I hope that all of you are having a wonderful close out to this admittedly terrible year, and that you all continue being the best at being yourself :3. I love and cherish each and every one of you, and hope to be able to provide you more dinos in the future :)

50 Watchers!
Posted 5 years agoWell, that was a milestone I didn't expect to hit as quickly as I did
I want to thank each and every one of you for clicking that little button, it truly means a lot to me to see people actually interested in the ideas I commission, the words I write, and the (admittedly still novice but I feel like progress is being made) art I draw. I promise that I will work to improve my skill and myself to continue to give you stuff to smile at, to laugh at, to be confused about, and all the rest of the emotions too.

New Tablet Acquired!! Also a Twitter!
Posted 5 years agoAs the title implies, my new tablet finally arrived!! Is definitely a big size increase over my little Bamboo I've had for at least the past decade haha, and am super excited to get to practicing digital artwork with it! Tonight I think is just going to be initial setup and playing around with it some, but maybe tomorrow or Thursday might have something sketchy I'd be happy uploading!
And as the second half of the title says, I now have a Twitter dedicated to this account as well. I'll be mostly following other vore artists there, but I'll occasionally post sketches and some WIP stuff there, have just not been as much a Tweeter since... well since ever lol.
Otherwise am super psyched to start working on improving my digital skills so I can deliver the content you wonderful people all deserve :3 Hope to talk with you all again soon

New story up!
Posted 5 years agoSo before I'd decided to come out from behind my lurker status and begin posting things to the site, I was heavily involved in the brony fandom, particular in the writing circuit. I'd written a looooot of stories and words in the setting I'd crafted over the years there (Over 400k as of this journal).
However, as time went on my involvement in the fandom dwindled to where it is now, where I check in on old friends and that's about it. However, with my decision to become more active and engaged with this site, I felt the old writing spark starting to rekindle. Given my obsession and passion for dinosaurs, I suppose it was only natural for me to write about my two favorite topics, dinosaurs and vore. The first story in my planned setting is now live: Terror's Last Stand, which also serves to introduce one of my newer dinosaur characters in the form of my altered Indominus Rex. She'll become more central to the setting as the next stories come out, so I hope to see you coming back for more.
Finally, because I slightly goofed on the story short description, I want to take the opportunity to thank
for his invaluable help in listening to me ramble on about the story concept and for providing excellent proofreading work. He is all around an awesome dude with some awesome characters of his own!

Posted 5 years agoSo wanted to first extend all of my love and appreciation for all of you wonderful people who've been mobbing my account/submissions thus far, the warm fuzzies are overwhelming . I'm working to get any remaining artwork that I've thus far received uploaded, just want to make sure I properly credit the wonderful people who've worked on them.
As far as my own work, I am finally getting back into learning/practicing my drawing, though I have to wait until I get my proper setup again to begin practicing digital stuff, but I'm super excited to be getting to it! I also intend to reignite my writer spark and try my hand at putting some words to page again.
So am again super grateful for all the support from my wonderful friends in getting to this point, and super thankful to all of you for helping motivate me to keep it up :3
