So exciting news! Earlier in the year I was successful in one of the more stressful application processes in my life. After running around and collecting documentation for days and days I was finally accepted into the Masters of Nursing Practice at Monash University.

To be eligible you needed to have an undergraduate degree in an area besides nursing and to complete a basic biology course. I had to complete the Biology course in 4 and a bit weeks, when it was 8 full weeks of material! You probably remember me complaining about it, or maybe not cause i was more or less off the grid for that time!

3am: Get up and get to work
7am: Get back from work and sleep
10am: get to the library
10pm: Library closes, get home and sleep

This was my schedule but somehow i made it with proper planning and preparation!

That's what i'm doing now! Getting a calendar and all the semester dates, assignment due dates, anything it would benefit me to know in advance and writing them all in.

As I like to say: Preparation is the key to confidence! More preparation, More Confidence!

I even know which classrooms the classes are being held in which semester so I can go to campus and scout the place out, know exactly where I'm supposed to be on the first day and ANY day!

The more effort I put in, the more I'll get out of it, so just try and stop me!

The course itself commences on the 27th of February, don't expect me to see me much after then! Busy busy!

I'm hoping I'll get to travel one more time before I'm chained to a nurses station (metaphorically you pervs) for the forseeable future but we'll wait and see!

Had an amazing time overseas, been back for a little while now... Missing everything about being over there in the USA!

Can't get enough travel!

Heyo! 11am in Atlanta and 1am back home and i'm jet lagged as all hell!

I completed the Human Biology Short Course on Monday and I'm still awaiting my grades but I most definitely succeeded, my final three test grades were 80, 88 and 75%, which isn't too shabby considering i had 60% of the time to complete the whole thing!

I'm now on holiday in Atlanta for a month, to get away from the noise of the construction next door ( https://www.instagram.com/p/BFw-sgxFQ4b/ ) and the construction noise at the library ( https://www.instagram.com/p/BF5URuZFQwZ/ ) and Winter and 3am starts as a delivery driver - etc.

The flights were all okay! I managed to sleep most of Sydney to LAX and then read the 4 hours from LAX to Atlanta.

I actually managed to find the direct sequel to the spy thriller i read last time and it only took 10 pages for it to mention a silenced pistol, brilliant!

For now i just gotta try and stay awake for 12 more hours so my sleep cycle is reset to night time over here

Well it's depressing to see that BLFC journal still there over a year later so I decided I'd write an update!

I have been given a conditional offer to the Master of Nursing Practice course at Monash Clayton University. The condition is that I complete the 8 week Human Biology Short Course as a pre-requisite. The final test is this Thursday the 16th but i'm well on track to be prepared for it.

Once I have completed the HBSC I will begin studying in the Master of Nursing Practice which is a 20 month intensive course with no breaks in between. Out the other end, tick a few boxes and a couple more hoops and wham bam you're a nurse.

There will be placements in hospitals all over in which I'll be expected to adapt to various roles. It will be a challenge but once again, if I complete it, I have something resembling a career at the end!

A real good friend of mine has given me some DJ software, and me, being an avid collector of Electro tracks decided to try my hand at mixing!

As mentioned, the drafts are for university assignments. The latest is part of a two part excercise in which i submit 2-3000 words as a draft, and then take the marks and criticism in order to rework it to submit a total of 4000 words.

Once i get the marks back I intend to rework the driver scene and what follows, word count permitting. Then it's going to be go-go-go, hopefully i'll spend most of my spare time in my notebook(the paper kind) and get the rest of the novel written by christmas time, which would be the 3 year anniversary of the completion of the third draft!*

What to bring?: Food(Meat for the barbecue is good), Drink,(Alcoholic or otherwise), any video game that people would want to play that I don't have, external hard drive with movies. DS with a pokemon game

How to get there (Friday): Rather than organise several different cars, I had the idea that we could all meet at Flinders street and take the train and bus as a group on Friday afternoon/evening, which may become a problem depending on how many people sign up for this. If people would prefer to drive I will post up a the route to get there from Melbourne but we'll see who replies. In order to make the trip more interesting, bring your DS and your pokemon and we can organise a tournament to pass the time.

How to get there(Saturday): ADD shepherd has offered to drive anyone from Frankston station to the house, he can take up to 4 passengers at a time. This is only if we don't hit the maximum number of spots available.

Spots available: There are 14 single beds and one double (that I dibs), in 5 separate rooms. If you really really want in there is room for spare mattresses on the floor of the living room, maximum if we really use all space available, is pushing 20.

Who goes where: As most of you probably know each other fairly well, feel free to organise to come as groups of three or four and you can have a room to yourselves, first in, first served.

Once we're down there: There will be video games, board games, card games and even ball games, as there is a tennis court on the property. There are plenty of spaces for people to mingle and chat. There is also a large barbecue that we'll fire up once people start getting peckish. The pyros can light a fire -IN- the fireplace, because that's cooler than putting the heater on and it will most likely be cold. After that we'll have the whole day to recover, the weather will be bleak, perhaps some fursuiting on the beach? :3

House rules: I assume these are pretty straight forward, just respect the property and don't go tearing up the place or setting it on fire or causing permanent damage. We've been allowed to use this place by my 80 year old grandparents so show some respect. Here are some things that I feel the need to spell out
1. No nudity (unless it's strip poker or something :3)
2. No exiting the property on your own (Basic buddy system, for safety's sake)
3. No yiffing on anything beside a mattress (living room couch MAY be excluded)
4. No weapons, violence or unpleasantness (pretty please?)
5. No alcohol past the gate (this ones the law, no one wants a fine)
6. No swimming after dark (it'll be ****ing cold so do go catching hypothermia k?)
7. No drugs (alcohol excluded of course, smartass ;p)
8. No Smoking inside the house (again, respect)
9: No Fence Climbing (unless a ball goes over)
10: No single player gaming (there are only two TVs, so lets keep it social ^-^)

Just to clarify number 2: It may seem like a good idea to wander down to the beach or out back to the tennis court in the middle of the night but alcohol has a tendency to make people pass out. If you pass out on the beach or the court by yourself, you can bet that we'll be having too much of a good time to come looking. If you do want to head to the beach make sure you go with someone and let me know that you're going. There have been ambulance calls in the past and one near fatality, safety first alright?

Heya!

The fabled writing stream has been born! Dubbed "New Document" just cause i love the word "New" in titles, it will premier on Saturday the 3rd of July 10am Australian Eastern Standard time. For those of you who are in america, that will be Friday night. It was originally going to be this Saturday buuut i suppose people aren't going to miss anthro-con for this XD

Already there are many ideas to keep what is likely to be a fairly boring stream interesting: Each viewer gets 3 lines, a little like three wishes. What this means is a viewer will be able to pick a line from the text being written, no matter how explicit and i will be forced to read it aloud on the stream! Haha what fun, i'll probably say every euphemism for "cock" by the time i'm done. You only get to choose 3 different lines, so choose wisely!

There will be games! Once i think of them...with extra lines as prizes! This means you can have double the number of chances to humiliate me!

The first story i will be attempting to write will be entitled "Rocket Launchers and Stripper Poles" and is based of a true story! ... of sorts. This story was born from my own twisted subconcious, in laymans terms, it was a dream i had. The story will follow a greedy mercenary who will do anything for money, kill, maim, sex, maim and kill.

Our "Hero" will find himself confronted with a choice, be a complete and utter bastard as per usual or save a peaceful village which is threatened by a dangerous millitia. It sounds easy but heres the catch: there is no money to pay him with, peaceful village is also a poor one. Did i mention that his father is the head of the village? And that he came to our Hero's office personally?

To find out what happens you'll have to watch the stream! Or... look at my FA the next day to see the results of "New Document Episode One: This time it's personal!" This story will have action of every kind! Sex is his currency, bullets are his change, a businessman through and through.

It's a good thing freud is dead, because I wouldn't want him reading this, he'd have a field day!

Yeah, for my novel writing course i had to submit 4000 words for assessment and having mentioned in my previous journal, the idea for Dino and Rex, now Toby and Rex, went down well and i've been working on it. Here's a little snippit of what i've been doing, new style, and new characters, new story elements, it's all new, so if you like the second draft, by all means, check out the 3rd draft teaser i've posted up, leave a comment as well! Nothing makes me write more than knowing what the fans want to see!

There is no release date for the 3rd draft, I intend to get more written in the semester break, buuut i get too distracted too easily. We'll see!

Well hello there!

As many of you will know (or find out right now) I'm enrolled in a creative writing course at RMIT Melbourne... in Awwwstraya!

This semester we are working on novels in a sorta sit around and workshop it kinda way. We have to hand in an excerpt from a work in progress. Seeing as Just Another Murder seems to be in a bit of a Jam at the moment (pun :P) I pitched Dino and Rex to the class, they really liked the idea!

Throughout this semester I'm gonna be attempting to get motivated to get a third draft happening, lots more detail, lots more development of characters and more professional time transitions.... as apposed to "In the last episode"

The naive thing to say would be "this draft is going to get published" but I do have a good feeling about this one, you never know, I might end up getting sued for plagerising myself once people find the second draft up here, that would be funny.

Aaaanyway, the reason I'm posting this here is to hopefully get some feedback on the second draft, "cool story" is nice but real hard hitting critique is what I'm chasing. Get a comment in on the story itself or this journal and you never know, you might end up seeing it in some sleazy second hand bookstore someday
