I am going to make a skotter suit some time this year.

Here are my thoughts thus far:

1. It would probably be better and cheaper to start off with a partial. I've already got a tail I like, so I would only need a head and paws. The head is the biggest concern, and the part of the suit I feel like I am least capable of approaching. I could really use some help, especially in person. I would love to learn!

2. I was thinking about a foam and balaclava style head with a static jaw, to keep things simple.

3. I have absolutely no idea what kind of fur would be good for this. Do any of you out there who've made suits have any advice?

I'm not gonna rush this along, and I want to do it right the first time. I've been itching to do this for quite some time now, and now that I have enough funds and my own place... It's time!

Hello all!

Just a general, and brief update on my life.

I'll be moving to Detroit starting on August 17! I'll be there for the dream cruise, and school starts for me on the 22nd! I can't wait to get out of Southwest Michigan, and I am incredibly ridiculously utterly excited to be moving to the bankrupt wasteland that is Detroit. I'm optimistic for the future, and I hope that I can make a decent enough future there. I can't wait to call it home.

I will be attending Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn for a semester to pick up some credits, prior to transferring to Wayne State University studying Mechanical Engineering! Quite a switch from Architecture, that much is for sure. I'm nervous, and I'm sure I will need plenty of help.

I look forward to meeting more Detroit furries, and having my own place for the first time ever! I'm rather scared about it, but I know that everything will work out in the end.

Hey you guys,

Just wanted to let you know that my first furmeet was a RESOUNDING SUCCESS. I was a bit of an awkward skotterpenguin in the beginning, but things seemed to warm up pretty quickly. The big thing that stuck me was that I really want a fursuit. Like, a lot. I was extremely impressed by a lot of the suits that were there, and I want to at least borrow one and go for some kind of trial run some time. That looks fun as hell.

Beyond that, it was awesome to meet some new folks! I'm terrible with names, but I'm sure  Bluedragon407 will straighten me out. All these furry names are hard to keep track of.

Kicking around the mall afterwards with  KiraTora ,  Bluedragon407 ,  CalvinRequin , and  Platero was tons of fun, even the part where I jammed them all in my Subaru.

I'm going to my first furmeet in Grand Rapids on Saturday. I'm going to wear a collar and tail, and romp around a zoo... It's gonna be weird, man. I'll totally look like a faggy skotter, but I guess it's for the better. When in Rome, I guess.
