Hey all! I haven't been on in quite a while. I know I rarely write journals, but I had something important to say! :) I have made a new account at  rikatah for anyone still interested in my work! (I've improved, promise!) I'd love to have you come watch me, and check out what I have up!

I'll always remember it... May 21st, 2011.
My first time publically fursuiting. C:
It was just such a wonderful experience, a way I've never felt before.
It's a long story, but I'll start from the beginning.

I help out at my church a lot, and I always get involved. There's one lady who's been organizing, "The Sensory play day" twice a year for a while, now. It's a great event that gives hope and joy to hundreds of disabled kids, and it's just so fun! For the last few times, I've been doing face painting with a couple friends. It's great fun, painting a child's face and seeing them smile when they eye their reflection in the mirror, but this time I decided to get a little more involved.
Beforehand, I requested permission to wear my recently finished fursuit (I'll post pictures soon) around for a couple hours of the day and the head organizer gratefully agreed to it. :3

It was such an amazing surge of happiness.. straight away, after I zipped up my suit and began walking up the side of the road, I got some waves and beeps from cars. When I got to the spot where the event took place, everyone immedietly noticed me and waved too! haha! I felt so loved
But the greatest joy that got to me was the kids...

Staring, then running, then trying to pull off my gloves.. hahahah
One little girl hugged me and wouldn't let go.. awww <:3
But there was one girl.. I think she was autistic, a real sweetie, she hugged me a lot and took my paw and said, "come on! I wanna take the puppy on a walk!" and she did, a 10 minute walk all around the field XD
she was fun :)

BUT, what got to me the most of all, the most touching thing...

There was a little boy, age of around 4 or 5, who stood and stared at me confusedly for a very long time. He looked a little frightened at first, but I got down on my knees and bent over and held my paws out. He felt them and looked at me awkwardly for another moment, but then, suddenly.. he ran up and gave me a nice big hug!
Now, why might this be so touching?
Well, I later learned from several people that the kid's mom was ecstatic about it because every time he saw a costumer, he would cry and cry, but apparently I gave her a little bit of hope, and it meant so so much to her! That story just makes me so happy when ever I think of it, and made me POSITIVE that fursuiting will ALWAYS be one of my hobbies! c:

To finish, I'd just like to say God bless all those wonderful fursuiters out there bringing smiles to children everyday, and it was definitely one of the most astonishing wonderful amazing just FANTASTIC experiences of my life! <:')

Yes, I am almost done my fursuit! :D
I am really quite proud of myself, haha....... It's taken so much work.
Yesterday I finally foamed and furred the feet for it, made the rest of the body part, and made a tail. Unfortunatly, my last sewing machine needle decided to snap on me when I was almost done! DX
GRR

So once I get some more sewing machine needles, I will attach everything together and it will be done! :D
Except for one small exception...
I still need somekind of playground foam for the feet... any one know where I could get some of it in pink and white? If you do it'd be a great help!

Hey, I'm just wondering, who's going to Anthrocon? Please- lemme know if you'll be there! It'd be nice to know some people because I don't really know many furries outside of the internet. (except for my one friend that's not going)

I'm leaving to go on thursday! I'll be wearing my thylacine partial fursuit some of the time, the thylacine tail some of the time, and my deer tail (looks more like a rabbits tail because it's so small) part time, too. :3 Hope to see some of you guys there! :)
