Posted 4 years agoWorking really hard at school, got back into lifting. Seeing lots of results and feeling good physically.
Still sad a lot of the time, but it's to be expected. I lost everything lol.
I'll draw again eventually but I haven't had the time nor the inspiration.

House fire update!
Posted 4 years agoWe talked to our landlady, and apparently the whole front floor needs rebuilt, as well as parts of the kitchen. The kitchen appliances need replaced, and the entire inside of the building needs deep cleaned from all of the soot.
We're not being held liable for damages, which is a blessing, but I really miss my kitties a lot.
Our good friend, who gave them to us as kittens, gave them a proper burial and is planting flowers and catnip on their grave. My heart is broken, but my spirit isn't!
We've been working really hard on getting everything squared away, which unfortunately included throwing almost everything I own away. π__π
A lot of family and friends are donating furniture here and there, and we have a GoFundMe for other things like appliances and household items such as a shower curtain or toaster or anything else that needs replaced.

Health concerns
Posted 4 years agoA few watchers I know from outside of FurAffinity are already aware of my condition, however, for the past couple of months I've been having new symptoms surface of a fairly dangerous comorbidity. Lately it's really picking up, and I'm not taking it very well.
I'm still going to draw and keep working at my studies, but I need to take an extended break from my weightlifting hobby as my muscle tissue has been affected, and any stretching or bending can trigger an episode.
It's really hurting me inside, not just physically. I like being physically strong. I like working out. I like pushing myself, the focus, the discipline. It's something I really counted on to keep me centered. I'm going to keep drawing Sylph as the powerful warrior she is, because, despite my failing health, she is who I am on the inside, and nothing can take that away from me.
I'm going to be down in the dumps for a while. I apologise if this reflects poorly on my art or my output. I've finished all paid commissions, though. Maybe I should take some time and just doodle for a while.

Imagine, okay. Imagine everything is gucci and all of the races are kind of just chilling and minding their business inbetween spurts of divine intervention warfare and spots of slavery, maybe one knucklehead pretending to be the Emperor for a while before he got his ass handed to him, when, suddenly, some yellow beanpoles form a whackadoodle racist manifest destiny shitstorm under the command of a mining robot from outer space to cause chaos in general just to overthrow and control the world because they're ScArEd oF hOw iT's bEiNg RuN and assume other races are too dumb to do their thang. Imagine sometimes, in the middle of sporadic bouts of bloodshed and political nonsense, something might go right for once, and said yellow beanpoles take credit to further their merit among what they think of as untermensch. Imagine they then instigate a civil war in Skyrim, which fulfills a prophecy that unleashes a fucking dragon that has one goal, the enslavement or destruction of the whole goddamned planet, then have the nerve to scratch their heads at why it all went down. Imagine that during this, they outlaw a hero-god under the guise of "he used to be mortal, so he doesn't count" when more than half their goddamned pantheon used to be mortal too, because they're still butthurt that they got their just desserts from said hero-god when he tried to get them to stop fucking with the one who got the Aedra to commit to creating their universe in the first place so they can all fucking exist at all (albeit for a vacation home of sorts but I'm sure we're all still grateful, even if it is Lorkhan's world and we're all just living in it).
You can't tell me Pelinal wasn't justified. I entirely wish he had more tact and not run his mouth so he could have finished the job (Khajiit notwithstanding obviously as they're kind of the airbag for the whole shenanigan should it crash and burn). Xanthic dagger-ears are trash and no one can convince me otherwise.

Posted 5 years agoAYYYY. Working on a weapon design for Sylph. So far, so good. Have good ideas running around in my brain cells, or what's left of them after being awake 30 hours. Kill meeeee.
Might also include a demo of her breath power (she is a dragon after all!)
It's gonna be a trident, figure a pole arm is a good idea for an air elemental but spears and lances are kinda boring and prongs are cool.

Posted 5 years agoI don't have any new art to upload, I don't think. I mean I do, but it's not relevant to FA and would release a lot of IRL info about my identity if I posted it, which I'd like to keep from happening.

I've been really focused on fitness and school, as well as some side projects that have had me feeling down but are for the greater good.
Someone give me art ideas, I'm dying. I need a new avatar, or whatever they're called. I might do that next.
I deleted all my facebooks except the one I use for "business", friends who know who I am will know what I mean haha. I was bullied by a long-time bully of mine out of a community I really loved (again, last time it was the furry fandom hence my anonymity, I don't want her harassing me here too), and I got fed up and bailed from Facebook because I was so heartbroken about it I didn't want to risk it happening again.

Gonna throw a couple more challengers into the arena
Posted 5 years agoTwo more OCs are coming at the very least. One is a resurrection of my first fursona as an adult, like a fully developed character. She's perfect so I'm not changing anything about her. The other I have in mind is a recycled and upscaled version of my retired main OC as a different species and with a different colour scheme. And different name. Okay, basically I'm gutting her and keeping a couple of the design ideas.
Anyway, it's gonna be ladies' night all over the place. I don't think I have a single male OC idea. I don't know. Women are pretty so they're fun to draw. Also I'm a lady, so it stands to reason that characters that represent me are also ladies.

I said that last time after I finished my ref though and here I am, still chucking out full renders I drew on a damn phone.
Lawdddddd. I'm exhausted bahaha.
I'm learning a lot though, drawing this much in a small device with such limitations.
Anyway, I'm under the weather and really need to study more so I'm going to go to sleep so I'm rested for class. Ttyl FA~

I'll be around more often, but a new semester is starting at school so I'll be working on the anthro ref I started a while back in tiny increments. I'm not great at anatomy and I am still drawing on my phone so please bear with me ><;

P.S. Since I still don't have a tablet for drawing on my computer, I might just run a virtual machine for Windows 10 Pro so I can use my phone screen and stylus as a tiny drawing tablet 0w0 If the virtualization can't be done, maybe I'll just find another base for my anthro ref -w-
I love bases but editing the lines is a nightmare on a mobile device, and all of the anthro bases I see has tiny tiny wings. No no, my wings are big for flying!

I'm almost done with a feral reference sheet for my dragon fursona. She doesn't have a first name yet, but her surname is Tatterwing. She is very cool-looking. I only have my phone to draw on right now, so I had to fill in a base I got off of DeviantArt. I'm really excited to be here and I hope to see a lot of amazing art and make good friends. I can't wait to flesh my profile out a little more here!
