Tuesday TMI and fixed some links
Posted 11 years agoSo first and foremost, I fixed the Facebook link and the odd issue with YouTube is still odd but seems to work.
Anyways, it's Tuesday, you may ask any question you dare, and I shall answer as truthfully as possible. Good luck.

PAX 2014, RI Furbowl/Dance, and Autism Speaks walk wrap up.
Posted 11 years agoOkay, this is going to be messy even by my standards.
PAX: Overall it was good. Had some fun and met quite a few awesome folks (apparently I'm in a couple sites cosplay galleries now). The general population was fine with furries and since there were a few others present it was a good time. My handler for the day Barb (Babs or Rafiya) managed to keep me on track for where we needed to be and what we wanted to see. Met some game developers, publishers and a few advertising folks as well as had a blast with players of many of my favorite games LoL SC WoW and EvE to name a few.
RI Fur bowl and Dance: Again, overall a good time. Zen drove this time and we only got lost once or twice on the way. The lanes were pretty nice and kind of reminded me of my home league setup at Vernon Lanes. It did seem a bit short on time at the alley, but that was more than made up for during the dance that followed. Which I broke out my old glow sticks for the first time in years and actually danced/bounced around. Kinda curious to see video of that since I had very little idea of what was going on around me at the time.
Autism Speaks 5k: This as a group activity and charity event was excellent. For the money raised and the times had it was good. Unfortunately UConn still has a great number of fur haters and apparently resulted in an actual assault on one of the other suiters attending by someone with no association to the event. It happened just off of the main site at the garage next to the Athletics Department. The suiter was fine, but the assailant was not caught. We didn't find out about this till after we had finished the walk. We did get split into two separate groups as one group accidentally took the 5k route, but still completed it and the other smaller group managed to find the 3k route. But it was definitely not something I wanted to find out after the fact and had me a bit worried since there was another suiter whom none of us there knew and we didn't know where they where after the event. So UConn might need some extra security by the north and south garages since it appears to be an area where things happen and lacks the needed safety some folks expect. Other than that things went smoothly and we ended up hanging out at the student union for a while before going our seperate ways.
That's all I have for now!

Anime Boston 2014 wrap up
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone! Just got back home from the last day of Anime Boston. Had a blast with all of you and glad I got to meet up with everyone again!
Much to my surprise a good number of people let me know that they've seen me on FA or other such places. That was definitely an awesome feeling to know that folks have either seen me around spotted me online and made point to come talk to me.
Thanks for another great year at AB and I look forward to seeing everyone at other conventions and again next year!
Upcoming cons: PAX East - Friday only / Anthrocon - Thurs-Sun / ConnectiCon - Friday-Sunday / InterventionCon - Friday-Sunday / To be announced!
Also, if you missed it I spent a little while at the CTcon booth handing out con pamphlets
P.S. shout out to the wonderful staff at Flamers in the Prudential Center! You guys were awesome and I loved your reactions to a bull getting burgers :D

Anime Boston 2014
Posted 11 years agoSo AB is this weekend. I plan to be there Friday thru Sunday, so say hi or poke me if you see me. I have no plans for lunch so far other than the food court. If you want to hang out or talk, leave a post here or get me on Facebook or Skype.
Anime Boston and Toll Fines
Posted 11 years agoSo I've chosen to return to AB once again with a brand new EZPass which should hopefully mean no more wonky toll fines when it says I paid.
I'll be there in suit more than likely since I'm slated for Friday-Sunday. Either give me a yell here or Facebook or even Skype and let's chat or meet up!

I'm now working at 2 existing conventions, organizing and managing 2 others and attending roughly 11 cons this year in order to make sure thismngs go smoothly and all aspects of the job are covered.
Keep your eyes and ears open and if you follow

Mentally exhausted...
Posted 12 years agoI have no idea why, but it just hit me. Complete and total mental exhaustion. Nothing planned, can't concentrate and zero desire to play my usual onslaught of videogame titles. This has never actually happened to me before now. I need to go find somewhere to sit down and figure out what the hell is going on all of a sudden.
Have things I would like to do, but every time I think about it I just stop dead in my tracks today. I want to work on the tabard for my suit. I want to finish doing the layout for the totem I'm making. I WANT to just finish everything! *flops* Unbelievable. I can't even get enough of myself collected to analyze why I feel like this. Excuse me while I just go and chill in the corner over here and mull a few things over in the hopes that I will get some motivation.

FurFright 2013 A wrap up!
Posted 12 years agoAttended the ever so wonderful and awkwardly hilarious FurFright again. Did the full loop and fell victim to the bucket brigade quite a few times. Bells are evil little things. My stealthy sneaking around the con with a cow bell failed horribly as the bucket brigade always seemed to know exactly when and where I was going to be. Admittedly, I don't mind honestly. The whole point of that bell is just simply to act as something unique and attention getting. Furs just love playing with my bell, and it's sometimes the only way someone knows when I'm coming down the hallway.
Maybe next year I'll go sign up for the bucket brigade. Though I feel I'd be more of the salvation army bull... You'd hear me coming and just start walking in the other direction XD.
Thanks to all the folks that I hung out with this year, Ray, Johann, Baron, Tandom, Beta, Zen, Trigger and the many others whom I cannot remember right this moment as I'm still recovering a bit from all the walking and trying to eat some nice solid food finally.
Good luck to all and with some good timing I'll see you all again next year!

Anime Boston 2013 wrap up
Posted 12 years agoPost Con: Anime Boston is over now and I'm relaxing getting ready for Tuesday. I have a bit of a shopping list before the next con which is ConnectiCon. Looking at a new set of BDU tiger stripe woodlands since I seem to have lost a pair so I'm down to one full set of BDU's... Also considering a set of black out BDU's for something else later on.
Had a good time with
tandom
bar0nv0nw31ss3rw0lf & his fiancée as well as Rafiya and the other furs who said hello and asked for pictures.
Hope everyone else enjoyed themselves and It looks like we'll be back again next year.
Props to
tandom who got to do his first out of CT convention AND first con in suit :)
If you have any pics of
tandom in the blue wolf with horns suit or myself in the Tauren suit, please feel free to tag us or drop us a line so we know what you all thought about our little performances and dress choices. Suggestions, critques and random comments are welcome. Suits were made by

Posted 12 years agoDay one of AB is now over and my brother and I have retreated home for the time being. We'll be back out tomorrow to roam around and have a ball. Had a good deal of fun and there's at least a few pics of Random Fox and myself in suits goofing around and just perusing the mall.
Met some MA furs and even some other out of area furs. See you all again tomorrow.

Anime Boston 2013
Posted 12 years agoGetting ready to head to AB tomorrow for the weekend as I'm going to be commuting back and forth all three days. Planning to pick up Tandom Fox and meet with Babs and Anthony at the convention. The general idea is to drive the 1.5hours each way in the morning and night since I didn't get a hotel room and my brother will be going up for the ride as well. I'm aiming to be in suit for most of the three days depending on how well everything goes.
Any other folks who are in the area and wanna just hang out or talk, feel free to message me, or just look for the bipedal bovine :D
Good luck and take care all,

Furry Picnic 2013
Posted 12 years agoI had the pleasure of attending this fun one day event which was a complete blast. Estimated about 100 people attended on a month's notice. The event went on even through the rain because everyone was just having a great time.
Can't wait till the next one! And if you're in the area next time it comes around, I'd suggest registering and stopping by to join in on the fun.
That's all for now, later folks!

High School and my annoyance.
Posted 12 years ago[Rant]
Went to Cracker Barrel today with family for my dad's birthday. At the cashier counter my brother goes to buy something and apparently the cashier recognizes the resemblance of my brother to me. Asks him if he went to RHS and ends up leading to her saying she knows me. My brother decides that I'm apparently not socially awkward enough as it is and hollars over for me to come to the counter. Oblivious to what he's started, I walk over AND then he decides to tell me "Yea, she says she knows you from RHS"... I look and have zero clue who the hell the person is and she tries to figure out what class we supposedly took together and suggests psychology... I took psych in college not HS and just said that couldn't be. Ends up with an awkward me not knowing what to do/say and finally just walking out without a word because frankly, I have no desire to reminisce on my high school years. They're done and gone and there's things about those years I want to forget. I try NOT to be recognized as having ever attended that school. I dodge the reunions, the alumni functions and all that BS because I simply do not want to be bothered with that hell hole of a high school. There were SOME good people there when I went but the class of '06 was not something I could ever honestly call myself proud of.
I've told my siblings and even my family many times that if someone claims to know me from there then they should just ignore it. At the most they can say "oh that's nice" and be done with it. Pretty sure I've made this clear on many occasions and yet they still insist on placing me in these awkward situations and expect me to have even the slightest desire to entertain people's whimsical thoughts that they somehow "knew me" in high school. I believe personally there were only three or four people that truly knew me in those years, and they know who they are. As for the rest of my graduating year, I do wish you'd all stop assuming you know me. Recognizing a face doesn't mean you know me, and it sure as hell doesn't mean I know you. I kept to myself for a good reason. There's a few stories about me that went around the school in my years there and I'm sure everyone knows my little legacy and claims to fame from that school, but again that doesn't mean you know me.
As for my brother... he should know better since he was a freshman in my senior year. He had first hand experience and knowledge of some of the shit that went on there and should know why I kept to myself and didn't bother with others.
