Tonight hit me with a lesson I sorely needed

As my friend Jagl told me, with Emberflame I've been trying to take soft magic and apply the logic of hard magic to it

that is to say, trying to make everything as explainable as possible instead of just going "its funny lol"

Emberflame is no goddess, she still pretends to be royalty, but she is a nine tailed kitsune

She's a goof off with an appetite and a lot of laughs in her

I've tried so hard to puff up my image I didn't even realize I created a problem and then tried to force a solution when the problem didn't even need to exist at all

I'm not some untouchable egoistic supergod thing

It's how my writing got stunted, I kept trying to go for perfection

Shadow: Absol. Slightly less large than Emberflame, much bigger than normal. Very fluffy and soft. Tragic backstory. Loves to play games, video or board. DnD DM, loves tummies, flustered easily. Chess grandmaster. Eyes are pink instead of red due to slight albinism. Has an enchanted set of dice that was given to her by Emberflame, if rolled for any purpose their result will influence whatever event they're being rolled for. (Essentially DnD rolls but for realsies.) If she loses them or they're stolen, they will either return to her in some form after a while or the next dice set she touches will gain the enchantment.

Abigail: Liepard. Wears a leather collar with a Dark Gem that is never used up. Not terribly nice. Has a closet lesbian relationship with Lumi. Daughter of Grimsley Liepard from the Unovan Elite Four.

Lumi: Shiny Glaceon. Doesn't emote much. Came from an abusive mother. Very calm. Can change in size to an extent.

Lily: Lopunny. Haughty, vain, temperamental. Thinks she's better than everyone else, including her trainer. Very upper class. Wears gems in her ear fluff.

Ashur: Arcanine. Emberflame's father in pokemon lore. Very good boy energy. Used to be a racist upset Ninetales from the era of kings and queens, changed because it didn't fit what I needed. Enjoys goofing off.

Sophia Vega Joy: Retired character, putting her here purely because some will ask why she isn't. Let the past go.

Veronica: Human, Nurse Joy. Obligatory preddy trainer. Decently carefree, runs her own center. Won't let someone think she's a pushover but isn't aggressive about it unless she has to be. Has an Audino.

Varin: Delphox

Madeline: Lily's Trainer. Somewhat wealthy upper class type, has no idea what she's gotten herself into with Lily.

Kadin: Sylveon Detective who lost his trainer, keeps his Sherlock esqe hat in remembrance of them. Does his best to continue the detective work.

Zahra: Mismagius. A young adult (18-20) girl who lost her life long ago, haunts Kadin after he tried to get rid of her as part of a job. Either helps or hinders depending on her mood. Somewhat vorny.

Unnamed Plush Shapeshifter: Original/True form is a large anthropomorphized cat (nekomata/cat yokai). Can copy any being, but only in plush form. Animates others plushes with her presence.

Emberflame Info!

Emberflame is a very large Kitsune (6'3'' at the shoulder, around 7'8'' at head) with a stomach as big as her heart. Born as a common fox, she became a kitsune entirely by accident, gaining sapience and magical abilities, but with little clue on how to use either. Being as new to having intelligence as she is, Ember is immensely curious of the world around her, always moving around from place to place to find new things to learn and be fascinated by. People, however, are what catches her fancy the most. A kind soul met Ember and took her under their wing, teaching her much about what was there to love about their world and how to look for it, all in exchange for her company. The more Ember learned and lived, the more powerful she grew, and soon she towered over even her teacher who once did the same to her. It was agreed upon that Ember was ready to continue to see the world, but with a renewed purpose of spreading the joys of life to as many people as she could. Ember loves nothing more than to help others discover lifes simple pleasures and the joys to be had, and she is constantly on the move to meet new people(and visit old friends with new knowledge) to befriend. Despite her massive size and innate magical powers, Ember is hardly considered a threat to anyone, preferring to talk things out and engulf others under her plush body. Ember's lack of life experience however, tends to manifest in the form of obliviousness to any consequences of her words and actions, and naiveness frequently leads her to being taken advantage of. But no matter what, Ember always remains sincere and earnest, always saying what she means and meaning what she says. Ember values life as much as she does enriching it, and would never voluntarily take the life of another.

Emberflame also uses a tiara she was gifted by someone dear to her to pretend she is royalty (especially enjoying when others play along or are convinced that its real.) She will happily try on other headwear, loving the sensation of finding a new role to temporarily play. The fox is well known for being overly energetic and chaotic at times, but does her best to keep it all in good fun. Anyone who chooses to share time and space with her will have to be aware, Emberflame loves to cuddle/play and is known for being hard to say no to. Her voracious appetite must also be paid mind to, she'll happily eat you and others up in the blink of an eye. The price of her friendship is simply to be subject to her whims, but she'll repay any debts many times over. Her heart is like her fur, gold.

Abilities: (A reminder for myself really) Kitsune Magic: 'Limited' Shapeshifting (Anthro, Demi, and Human, the closer to human it is the harder it is to keep it up. ((Can also use it to enable herself to support anything she'd want to get up to with her own body, like making her stomach stretchy or changing her own size.))) Soul Manipulation (for keeping others inside of her ((or as sentient fat)) and often turning them into a pair of ghost hands to pamper or assist her until they reform or until they're ready to be back to normal. They can stay a while if they want though.) This is also the ability that lets her naturally reform herself or others (though she has to burn off her own fat or other energy sources to do so). Fire breathing/fire absorption. Able to burn off calories quickly if wanted. Her tails are prehensile! Imbues others with a fragment of her essence after eating and reforming them once, allowing her to use shapeshifting abilities on them as well as making other magic more effective. Also has some capacity to travel through dimensions/universes using her Star Ball.

Due to enjoying bananas quite a lot, Emberflame also hides any normal scents/tastes of hers with the smell and taste of banana. Sweet~

Emberflame also, originally, was a Ninetales in the Pokemon Universe and retains the form of one (no different from her normally) while there.


My main kink is vore, though I do love getting lots of wholesome arts too. NSFW will be rare around these parts. I also dabble in and enjoy: Corruption, Weight Gain (along with temporary immobility and multiple kinds of inflation), Paws, Size Difference, Mawplay, Macro, and Hypno (and other mind trickery kinks.)

The tl;dr~

I'm retiring a character of mine (Sophia) I've mostly talked about on twitter and my discord server who has unfortunately developed into a toxic mindset I've wanted to leave behind. That is to say, her existence is a burden on me because its a reminder of someone I'm not anymore. More details in the twitter thread.

And finally thanks to some affirmations from friends and some legal checking up, its safe to say that I can declare Emberflame as an actual OC instead of just a pokemon character. (Ninetales are so basic even for gen 1 design that they're basically obligatory kitsune, and kitsune are folklore which can't be copyrighted. In addition Emberflame seems to LEGALLY meet the 90% threshold so that if I took the Ninetales species tag away she'd be able to exist as just a large goofy kitsune.) Which essentially lets me feel free to use her in non-pokemon stuff with zero changes to her physical design. (Some abilities and such would need to go to be 100% sure she'd be legally safe but that's besides the point.)

That doesn't mean Emberflame isn't a Ninetales anymore, I should add, it just means I can feel free to call her an OC and branch out to other stuff with her without feeling like I'm just inserting a Pokemon character in for some reason.

It matters to me ok, just go with it. lmao.

Which, if it does work out, will become part of her canon going forward. It doesn't mean she's universally loved or anything, influence only goes so far and wild pokemon probably wouldn't know about her, but given her friendliness and generally popular status it does seem like it fits.

She'll still be pretending to be a queen and won't take celebrity life all too seriously but it does solve quite a few of her needs in a nice simple way. She does love all that attention.

So since all the fetishy stuff is done~

Let's talk about Emberflame without obvious kinks!

So personality wise, if its not entirely obvious...

Emberflame is a cheerful/optimistic Ninetales, its hard to get her mood down (and even when it does go down its pretty easy to shoot it back up.) She's very excitable and high energy. Very playful, loves to goof off, always a bundle of laughs and fun (and at times a giggly bitch). She's quite gullible and easily led around, hell you can excite her by just sounding excited yourself. She can, and will, randomly cuddle or hug or lick or whatever when the mood takes her. Very much a glutton, will eat all the food plus some more if she can. Quick to apologize if she feels she's done wrong. Her extrovertedness is something special. Very hands/paws on foxxo. Can randomly crash and fall asleep after being too high energy for too long (more energy than usual anyway.) Will absolutely pretend to be a queen if people play along with it. (Also can pretend to be other things if she has the appropriate headwear on.) Very imaginative. Can be a bit naive or empty-headed, gotta help her understand sometimes. (Also tends to make things up in her head to fill in the blanks until otherwise shown.) She's also exceptionally friendly and loves to meet new people. She also has quite the wanderlust and a low tolerance for boredom, making it hard to keep her staying somewhere unless she has friends or something else to entertain her.

She's still Arcanine-sized, extremely soft fluffy thick fur. Her tails are ridiculously big and thick, requiring a lot of grooming and love to stay anywhere near uniform. She also tends to store things in her tail fluff, leading some to believe it has its own hammerspace (whether that's true or not, i won't tell l3) Her scarf is the size of a towel to most others, given her size. The tiara she wears is authentic, and she guards it jealously unless around friends. She'll give rides to humans if they ask or smaller pokes. <3 She looooves getting brushed, or being petted on, or having her tummy rubbed, or her ears scratched, or her tails fluffed and played with gently, and more.

Despite her chubbiness, she's very strong! Though she doesn't tend to get into battles often, unless its treated casually or as a playtime kinda thing. More serious encounters scare her, as she doesn't want to permanently hurt anyone if she doesn't have to. She has weak and unfocused telepathy and psychic abilities, not usually able to concentrate too long due to her scatterbrained and easily distracted nature. She can however unleash her emotions and thoughts in brief bursts to help her change someone's mood or disorient them. Telepathy being a more passive effect is far easier for her. Her grasp on ghost-type moves and abilities (what little she has) is a lot better.

Her moveset includes- Body Slam, Flamethrower, Confuse Ray, Hex, Shadow Ball, Will O Wisp, Protect, Rest, Dig, Dark Pulse, Psych Up and Nasty Plot (If going by more than four moves, though she has nowhere near mastered most of these...)

She is very friendly with humans <3 Though she can't be caught with a pokeball (for reasons.) ((I don't want her to be able to be.)) She hates being alone for too long, can be quite loud and overeager, and constantly seeks attention. Emberflame also has quite a strong stomach, and a bit of an appetite for random objects at times. (or just wants to chew on things). Keep your things safe! Or tell her no first. On the brightside, sometimes its easier to keep her fed this way!

Her mother is a large Ninetales named Serene who came from Mt. Pyre, and her father is a Pokemon Ranger's Arcanine named Ashur; who has very good boy energy and couldn't make the cut for being a police pupper.

The more love you pour into Emberflame, the more she'll give back <3

Just try to keep her away from questionable influences... ehehe

So I ran into an issue implementing a particular vore idea I love so after a day or so of thinking my brain hatched a 10000 iq idea so i'ma put it here along with the ideas that sprouted from it.



Fiiiirst of all, I've officially championed the headcanon that Pokemon and kinks go so well because Pokemon are magical monster creatures by nature so stuff like vore (which is already present in stuff like Victreebel, Swalot, Lanturn and others) is fairly conceivable as a thing that'd be possible. This is further reinforced by the sheer amount of damage Pokemon can take without permanent consequences (ignore how much the humans can take that's just anime stuff and the like.) It stands to reason that Pokemon just have very strong, regenerative bodies under normal circumstances which allows them to do things a regular creature certainly could not. (this is of course building off the regular pokemon canon and is theoretical.)

Secondly, I've made it canon in my own interpretation of the pokemon universe that while hybridization would be extremely rare or more likely artificially forced by humans, genetics of pokemon can pass down through lineage to a certain extent before becoming either too diluted to cause any change unless refreshed by a compatiable parent. (Aka Ember's Snorlax genetics would eventually no longer cause a difference if she passed them down further through her own breeding unless somehow another Ampharos that bred with a Snorlax were to come into contact with her or her children, etc. Just farfetched things that are unlikely to happen.)

Thus through proper same pokemon breeding eventually any introduced foreign genetics would be forced out through lack of reintroduction or refreshment.

This leads into the Emberflame stuff lD

So through perversion of nature and silly Pokemon egg groups-

A male Snorlax and a female Ampharos bred, the Ampharos more than likely was into somnophilia because its a fucking Snorlax that's just easy.

So a cute batch of Mareeps was made, a male of which found their way to Mt. Pyre as an adult (through being a trainer pokemon or something) and bred with a Ninetales from the area who was part of a group that was less than pleased with any foreign influences on their ages old lineage. And so a batch of precious Vulpixes was born, including the one that'd become Emberflame's mom, Serene.

Serene, to simplify her backstory for the sake of not making this ridiculously long, was a rebellious larger than normal Ninetales by the time she became an adult and broke away from her community to go live a happier, freer life. Then she met Ashur, Emberflame's Arcanine father, and then you have the soft fox. (Snowfrost came later from a vacation in Alola.)

So- with that established.

I wanted to give Emberflame a semi-hammerspace stomach so that she wouldn't be over encumbered from her eating habits unless she really overdid. Semi in the sense that it has an upper limit before her tummy just goes to the size it should be and she'd probably be just out cold in a food coma. While it is active though, her stomach sags far less, still shows some fun bulges when struggles happen, and she doesn't feel the weight nearly as much. So how that happen.

That's where my huge brain idea came from.

Serene is a clever, large fox. Her deviousness is matched by her intellect and she's very good at getting what she wants. So once upon a time she happened across a Gengar who sought to mess with her tails and generally cause her some upset for cheap laughs. She retaliated, it attempted to curse her, so she simply took the curse head on and decided to devour the Gengar before slapping a Cleanse Tag on her stomach to keep it from getting out.

(Cleanse Tags are usually found in areas involving ghost-types and repel wild pokemon which would allow it to keep something inside of something else too in theory. Spell Tags empower ghosts.)

And so with a hefty curse she'd purge herself of later and a stomach full of an unhappy ghost, she simply waited until it was able to be absorbed into her body and trapped there as sentient fat or such, giving her a boost to her own ghost-type moves in the process and being able to do some rather unnatural feats. (Which is part of why she's so good at getting around unnoticed and spooking people in doing so.)

Thus when she had Emberflame, and later Snowfrost, some part of that ghost soul passed down to them, giving them a diluted form of what Serene herself has. (This cannot be passed to their children as its already weak as it is, there's simply nothing left to pass down.) ((If the Gengar does get out somehow, it'd simply be weaker due to having lost some of its power until the others who have its portions are dead.))

Thus, Emberflame is simply able to do sentient fat stuff better than other Ninetales, but also affect her body such as the semi-hammerspace stuff. (The shit ghost-types can get away with in the anime or in the pokedex is nothing compared to that.) And Snowfrost by extension.

Though Emberflame also has somewhat of a partial hammerspace in her tail fluff, because there's so much of it. Whether that's ghost type shenanigans or not is up to viewer discretion. lol


Update~

To cover Emberflame's innate ability for Telepathy and Hypnosis/Mind Control (if Ninetales lore is correct), I did have an idea that was then bolstered with help from friends. In what one person called a "mental flashbang" Emberflame is way too ADHD to hold hypnosis for long (telepathy not so much because its more passive). But she CAN do one of two things:

1. Push her emotions onto someone in order to influence their emotional state.

or 2. Blast her thoughts and/or feelings onto someone powerfully in a big burst that will probably disorient the shit out of them.

I love creativity <3



For those who don't know what hammerspace is- bag of holding.

So yes me just wanting to embrace my love of eating lots but not being immobile from eating too much caused all this. lol

Feel free to snatch any such ideas for yer own canons and stuffs.

As is evident by my last journal, I've been working on Emberflame behind the scenes. Even if it didn't start intentionally, the progress I've made is nothing less than legendary.

I am quite tired of trying to be prickly and unwelcoming to some randoms so they won't pester me for RP or god only knows what else. I've had such gross requests that at this point its more than obvious trying to drive them away subtlety isn't going to work as well as a fuck off or the like.

And so, finally, I put this here to show I am willing to not only look soft and fluffy and huggable and lovable and super happy, but I am ready to embrace such even in kinks again.

One could say this is the shotgun wedding of both the Canon Emberflame, who would not do tummy murder or the like because of how badly she'd take it personality wise, and the Vorny Emberflame I portray in art where I can be silly with no consequences usually.

Of course there'll be still some degree of separation, but other than the usual ending left up to viewer choice or fatal stuff, it should at least be more consistent.

And god knows I really like consistency xwx And being able to pull stuff off with some legitimacy and be able to explain it.

Soooo, here it is.

- Emberflame is strong enough to support her weight evenly and nicely even with some additions to her stomach such as prey/food.
- Emberflame has Snorlax genetics from her mother's side giving her a diluted form of the ability Immunity as well as making her stomach nigh indestructible on the inside (or at least very hard to agitate or damage) which also allows her to safely devour others without much if any precautions as well as objects.
- Emberflame can store the energy/power of reviver seeds/revive stones/revival herbs (etc.) as part of her energy reserves and passively expends it to revive anyone she eats and digests (though she has the power to not do so, whether to keep them as sentient fat or just actually destroy them for good, not that she'd do the latter lightly if ever canonically.)
- Emberflame is able to do endo purely because she believes she can as part of some placebo effect, though I do think that concept can be taken further with how powerful the placebo effect would be on someone like Emberflame (not sure what right now though.)

For those wondering about Snorlax- Straight outta Bulbapedia

"It is not a picky eater, as its strong stomach allows it to eat even moldy food without feeling any ill effects. It can even handle thorny plants or Muk's poison." (There's also Dex Entries on the Muk part)

If a Snorlax can handle all that, chowing down on live stuff and passing such genes down should be valid >w>


Now for those wondering where the endo part came from...

I enjoy some forms of endo, but I really don't like-

-long-term endo other than teasing because its boring
-randoms asking for endo or more
- and people begging for endo in general

So its just easier to not be into it since I prefer gurgles anyway, but at this point, may as well not limit myself for dumb reasons.

As a final note, the vornier Emberflame will probably still be standard in art, but now I at least have proper justifications for the proper canon fox that you'd actually see, which is very important to me uwu

I ran a poll about if people thought Emberflame should have a Snorlax grandparent.

Overwhelming majority liked it

Ember is now 1 quarter Snorlax.

She doesn't sleep all the time but she can block areas with naps.

And she's still high energy, but once excitement wears off she has essentially a sugar crash half the time and naps.

Nothing really changes about her, but its fun messing with genetics and family trees to explain stuff

A friend who's a DnD5e DM decided to get creative with me and invent DnD Emberflame

Playful Presence: Whenever a creature starts it's turn within 15 feet of Emberflame, it makes a DC 15 Charisma saving throw. On a success, nothing happens. Otherwise, that creature must spend its turn moving to and playing with Emberflame. It cannot take any other actions and will end its turn once it is within 5 feet of Ember.

The DC is be 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier. So at level 1 if Ember starts off with maxed out Charisma, that would be 8 + 2 + 5 = DC 15 and it can increase as she levels up. (Also DC stands for Difficulty Class, it's basically the lowest number you have to roll to be able to succeed)

Basically if you're hanging out around Ember you might not be able to help but give her your attention. This affects anyone, friend or foe, so that can create some interesting situations.

Tackling Pin: As an action Emberflame can make a contested Strength (Athletics) check against the targets Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If the target fails, it is pinned underneath Emberflame and is considered grappled and incapacitated.

The checks mentioned are ability checks, telling you what stat and ability are used to determine what number you add to your dice roll (so for example, you'd add your Strength and if you're proficient in Athletics you'd add your proficiency bonus) and a contested roll/check is where both characters roll and whoever has the higher result wins. Grappled means they can't move and incapacitated means they can't take actions or reactions, so they can't really do anything.

Hungry Gulp: As an action Emberflame can target a creature she has pinned or that is a willing target. She swallows the target whole. It is considered restrained, it will move with Emberflame inside her stomach, and it takes 1d6 acid and 1d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. If the target is ons size class larger than Ember she will move at half speed until they are digested. If it is two size classes larger than her her movement speed will be reduced to 0 instead. (At higher levels the damage from her stomach can increase) Any damage Emberflame is dealt from struggling will be halved and attack rolls have disadvantage.

Disadvantage is rolling two dice and taking the lower result.

Voracious Bite: As an action Emberflame can make an attack roll against a target within 5 feet of her. On a hit that target takes 1d6+(Emberflame's Strength modifier) piercing damage and must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failure it is subjected to the effects of Emberflame's Hungry Gulp.

A normal bite just wouldn't include the saving throw to potentially get gulped.

Ember's Luck: As a reaction to making an ability check or saving throw, Emberflame can make that roll with advantage. If she fails a roll she used this ability on she can't use it again until she takes a short rest.
Advantage is rolling two dice and taking the higher result. And a short rest is resting for an hour. And a reaction is something you can whenever the specified trigger occurs, although once you've used your reaction you won't get it back until the start of your next turn

there's a cantrip called Firebolt that would work for Ember. Although the original range of 120 feet might be a lot. But it's just an attack that if you hit deals 1d10 fire damage and can light flammable objects on fire if it isn't being worn or carried.

Fire Press: As an action Emberflame can heat up her body, causing anyone she had pinned to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. They take 2d6 fire damage. On a success they take half damage.

Psychic Trip: As an action, Emberflame can make a target creature or object within 20 feet make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw as her psychic abilities tug at it. On a failure, the target is knocked prone. If the target is an object it automatically fails and is knocked over.

Unknown Royalty: The first time a creature sees Emberflame wearing her crown they must make a DC 10 Intelligence (History) or Wisdom (Insight) check. On a failure they believe that Emberflame is royalty, until convinced otherwise. Oh yeah, for the crown, if they fail the check by 5 or more they are considered charmed by Emberflame until they are further than 30 feet away from her.

Friendly Demeanor: Emberflame is treated neutrally by some creatures hostile to strangers due to her friendly aura.

She could once per day get so overaffectionate that everyone around her is affected, putting them under the effect of the Calm Emotions spell for up to a minute. Once the effect wears off if no one is being hostile at the time then people just won't return to their previous hostility and might just leave instead

Emberflame's scarf could give disadvantage to attempts to escape being pinned by her or trying to escape her stomach.

Her tails could function similar to a Bag of Holding, holding up to 500 pounds of stuff, as long as each thing is small enough to be covered by her tails. Once she's reached capacity she'll have to shake out some stuff to make room for something else.
Of course, it could always turn out that she could fit more in there but it's not like we can find out the total weight of stuff she can fit without her shaking it all out to be weighed

Explosive Belch: After digesting her prey, Emberflame can let out a burp as an action. Each creature in a 15 foot cone in front of her must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 fire damage and 1d8 poison damage as well as becoming poisoned on a failure. On a success they take half damage and are not poisoned. A creature that's been poisoned this way makes a DC 12 Constitution saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the poisoned condition on themself on a success.

Emberflame is considered a legendary creature
