breaking point
Posted 10 months agoi am near my limit with what i can handle in this world. no i am not thinking about suicide so dont go there. what i am talking about is the level of stupidity we allow to exist. back in Jan. my dad had a medical episode, over the next 3-4 months he works hard going to PT, doctors, and some specialist to make it like it never happened and he was successful at it. 3-4 months after it happened it was like it never happened in the first place and he was back to work. 3 weeks after that he has a small accident that was caused by equipment failure due to the company he was working for at the time. the company nurse says to him "oh you have to be out of work for X amount of time" like they do when trying to cover the companies ass from lawsuits and damage to property and since then he has been in this deep depression where all he does is sit in bed all day looking at his phone. now the stupidity i was talking about, is who let a nurse give medical advice as if they were the worlds best doctor? it has brought me to where i am about ready to go and knock some of this persons teeth in because i am just that close to my breaking point of having tried everything i can think of to remind my dad that when this happened in 3-4 months he was back to normal but 1 talk with someone who has no medical experience, no advanced degrees or anything like that goes "nope, you cant do this for X time" and it just killed all his momentum has got me so pissed that i am going to lose it on this asshole.
correction to Site News: 1/8/21 - Regarding Capitol Attac...
Posted 4 years agothis was posted by FA a few weeks ago and i just want to give some correcting info and my own personal opinion on it. and FA before you even try anything. remember that as a US based site, you have to allow all speech even if its something you disagree with. the 1st amendment was not just about what is says. it protects everyone in all forms of speech, not just major news agencies because they didnt exist when the law was written.
1/8/21 - Regarding Capitol Attack
On Wednesday, January 6th 2021, an armed insurrection of Trump supporters directly instigated by the President himself assaulted the Capitol building in an attempt to overthrow America's democratic process. This assault was fueled by conspiracy theories that are not only lacking evidence, but have also been dismissed by courts in over 50 lawsuits. This seditious attack resulted in the desecration of our US Capitol and at least 5 deaths. Lawmakers and experts have identified these rioters as domestic terrorists. We at Fur Affinity agree and will be taking immediate action upon any users or content sympathizing with or promoting this terrorist attack upon our country.

the corrections on this are that it was NOT instigated directly by trump, it was NOT a bunch of trump supporters who started storming the capitol, there was and is plenty of evidence supporting this side and this was NOT domestic terrorism. if any of the FA post is true, then why has antifa and BLM groups not been labeled as domestic terrorist because we have seen them on the news attacking people and police, destroying private and public property, trying to block people from getting to or leaving a location, the list goes on and on. it seems to be that a democrat group only "peacefully protest" and a republican group only riots? this site doesnt want to get political but then post a very one sided and inncorrect view on a very political topic claiming that all those that disagree with their post will be punished. this is a clear violation of federal law.

tips for life
Posted 5 years agopeople if you truly want to be happy in your life then you need to do 2 things.
1. find a good paying job that does allow you a couple of days off of work a week.
2. move FAR away from your parents as soon as you can support yourself for that time.
the reason for these is because since i was 11 years old i have not had 1 day off of some type of work and i do mean not 1 day. my parents opened their own business after my dad was involved in an accident but this allowed them to only work when they wanted to. once i was 16 and got my own job i was going to school in the morning, working in the afternoon, finishing up my homework and then going to bed to repeat this 5 days a week. sound like a normal kid's life right? well remember how i said my parents worked when they wanted to? this lead to my parents not working on the weekdays when they should have been but then on the weekends when its supposed to be time to relax, they have the brillant idea of getting up early in the morning, spending 10-13 hours working around the house and then going to bed to do the same thing on Sunday. this repeats my everyday life for 20 years. i am now in my 30s and live close enough to my parents where they call me every friday saying "be at our home at X time, we are going to spend the day doing X". it pisses me off to no end that my parents for years only wanted to do things around the house on the weekends when i had off of work which they could have had done during the week if they didnt want to go to work themselves.
now dont get me wrong, i love my parents but what i can not stand is the stupidity of not working when you are supposed to during the weekdays so you could have done this shit during that time but you want to wait until the weekend to get it done. my parents are in for a world of surprise when they find out that i am moving 10 hours away for my job and will not be around to help them anymore.

stupid people
Posted 6 years agohow do you know you are talking to a stupid person who just couldnt get any stupider? when you get into an argument over something and give them proven evidence that proves them wrong and they still scream that you are the idiot. I got into one of these just a little while ago. this person would just not admit that they were wrong, no matter what i showed them "because they were in the industry" we were talking about. there is just no arguing with these people. the best thing to do is to just laugh at them and post the story for others to laugh too.
now i am not going to tell you the exact details of what happened but for those that follow me. think of something in your area that people call two different names but its the exact same thing. kind of like the expressions tomato tomato (toe mate toe toe mott toe) (used different pronunciations to get my point across). this is what me and that person argued about. they would just not admit that someone in an industry can have two different names for the same exact job.
