the OPM federal worker lists have been leaked due to servers Elon's stooges used which have exposed the data of all federal employees.
Doctors are being convicted of felony charges for oking abortion pills,
Trans people are being erased from most civil society,
Gay marriage is being challenged.
MLK era civil rights reforms are being repealed,
Random people are being detained unconstitutionally in ICE raids against broad targets,
Deported immigrants are being sent to Salvador sweatshop prisons to serve as slave labour,
GITMO is being repurposed to house thousands of immigrants where they will not be protected by the constitution.
Our president has threatened to invade 4 countries, and is strongarming our closest allies with tariffs that would devastate the economy.
Said same president is now threatening to genocide the entirety of the Gaza strip.
He also commanded the army corp of engineers to waste billions of gallons of water in the American west seemingly just to spite California during a serious drought.
Finally... most of these are blatantly unconstitutional (much of this should be congress's job) and democrats are sitting there not doing anything.

I can't help but watch as my adopted home burns down around me, led by some south-african nepo baby with an army of stooges who want to speedrun us into a failed state. Aided by a crybaby boomer who made his fortune scamming people at every opportunity and firing people on television.

I recently found a movie called "Wolfwalkers" from 2020. I gotta say it was the most pleasant watching experience I've watched in a long time. That sort of classical wonder that illustration can really bring out is so lacking nowadays in animation. Hard recommend! Especially if you like irish folklore! It surrounds the story of irish wolfwalkers of humans who when they sleep manifest as wolves, with the conflict focalizing on an english settlement slowly encroaching and threatening to wipe them all out.

The suspense was agonizing, the trauma of the characters raw and real, their joy palpable and addictive, the magic awe inspiring and beautiful. It had me hooked in from the first moment and I am so glad I was able to find it. I will say the aspect of finding a place to escape the problems of the world and just yearn and be yourself was such a good message too!

Hihi everyone,

So as I progress more with my lore world, I'm reaching closer and closer to the goal of utilizing it for different things... for example being able to use it as a tabletop rpg, etc. Most of my characters are canon to the world, its a sort of teebiverse haha. Since my gallery is mostly villains, it makes the perfect framework of assembling a group of heros to stop them or even possibly help them who knows :3 ! The goal would be to keep this world significantly sfw as much as possible, so keep this in mind !

Though as is, I will be getting a lot less personal art to prioritize the refinement of the species, maps, locations. If anyone wants to join in or is interested in sharing in some of those pieces let me know! I plan to start working on it more once my phd is over in summer 2026, but until then I am happy to accept help from those who are interested.

Things I would be looking for, with absolutely no pressure, this is a voluntary thing:
Adding characters to the world (art or writing)

Currently: I'm working at getting an artist to make a proper map, and working on getting the different species concepted right now (very excited to show you all :3 !). I plan to use the old dnd 5e model where they would have different stat advantages and disadvantages to give them flavour, and cultural quirks that would affect a character's background (I love making dnd characters). I'm also writing out the different factions of the feline clans and the fall of their confederation under the last king. :>

Ooookay, I know its still quite early cause I want to organize this well! I'm looking into artists now to organize a Vuul group pic. Just wanted to gauge how many would be interested and what sort of roles they would want to have (comment below)

The requirements for this one will be a bit high: 1. If you want to be portrayed already/mid corruption you have to have an example of what your char will look like (aka a ref), 2. I plan on going a bit more all out on this one so price might push a bit high and I'm assuming at MINIMUM 80$ so please keep that in mind. 3. I will be determining who will participate and that means I may run out of room to include your char and I apologize.

The scene will likely be Vuul's temple, most like Vuul in his grand altar judging recent capturees and turning those he sees as being worthy of his blessing. I can imagine things like two council of venom generals flanking him, several of the close attendants and avatars spetacting or assisting with the ritual, several other members in the alleys praying/cheering on their god. There will also be the capturees who will be uncorrupted/midcorrupted based on interest etc. I'll figure out how many people are interested and map out the scene based on the participants.

The different positions in Vuul's empire are noted in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39140186/ and I can provide examples of each but Im lazy (just leave a comment asking about them) and I am happy to make new ones, particularly personal councilors who would have an area of special interest for his conquests.

I will note since i didn't comment with a journal. I keenly feel the loss of Dragoneer as he was someone who really gave me a lot of confidence starting out by liking some of my commissions and writing. FA has been part of my life for over a decade and to now have that be at risk is kind of terrifying. Rest well friend, and may the monument to your work (FA) only improve from here on out. He wasn't a perfect individual, but none of us are. Were all wierd goofballs being animals on the internet... and he played a large part in that being possible.

Is it cause like third party bots like telegram are veering away traffic from direct interaction for the sake of convenience?

Idk I feel like we should do more commenting, go compliment an artist’s work today! Human beings are social creatures, I’m sure whoever you make the comment to will appreciate it (ok but like dot make a weird comment ofc).

I have been BUSY reconcepting these little critters. Looking forward to really going into it in terms of ideas and concepts. The baseline lore is done, based on my world stuff. You don't really need to know the specifics for the origin other than these murks are creatures which seek to evolve and change their hosts into what they consider the "perfect being." In this case a monstrous, goopy, predatory murkmonster :V

Of course the main goal as always is to avoid too much body horror/gore typically associated with parasitic stuff while really digging into the more corruptive side of these gooey creatures. The psyche and effects of their takeover and how the host interprets this and is brainwashed into embracing it. This will culminate in the "rebirth" of the host into a terrifying perfected organism that is a melding of both the minds of the host and murk in perfect symbiosis.

Gonna plan to post some of the pics I've gotten so far, though I wanted to ask if that is something people are interested in seeing or not? I've seen for a while that mechas are unusually frowned upon, but I've never really been sure why. Either way this version of Teebs is likely gonna be quite the mainstay as I just love the design <3

Would anyone want to get art with the roboteebs? I was planning on playing around with reprogramming, nanites, and other sort of corruption themes. Having them act as a sort of puppeteer for those they corrupt and all that general villainy as a sort of rogue ai architype.

So for a long time I've stopped getting as much murkmite stuff (If you havent seen them yet, they are just gooey parasitic creatures), I've taken the time to work on some of the bg lore and how exactly I want to organize the project. The current ref for them : https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34324131/ is really outdated and frankly the lore is shifty at most. I need to sit down with a couple people and really nail everything down.

I'm thinking of organizing the different infected into types/tiers of infection, though would just need to get a lot of concepts done... hard to do when you dont know who's willing to draw them xD
Tiers would be split from 1-3
Stage 1. Introduction to infection, murk takes control of the mind and puppets body, the goo wouldnt cover the full body though
Stage 2. Goo completely covers host, but their original body is still sunk inside, but the body is able to shift and change to fit the desires of the murkmite. Resistance from the host is gone at this point.
Stage 3. Body beneath the goo is absorbed, fully merging murkmite and host... the host will see themselves reborn and think of themselves as the prime lifeform and spread the infection.

Host speed of conversion and their strength will be dependent on the physique of the host body the murk puppets, the amount of magic a person inherently wields (murks consume magic tied to souls and convert it into more goo), and how wise and intelligent they are (murks consume thoughts/memories and harvest them for the hive, leaving the host unable to fight back)

They will likely be closely affiliated with the void in my lore, so the goo can drive people insane to embrace the murkmites if exposed for too long, it would also make sense for murks to bring back victims to their hive/nest rather than murks seeking out victims. So sorta have a xenomorph sorta people tied to the walls as the murks come to claim them, their minds beings twisted by the goo around them. They are basically parasitic shards of the void who infest the mortal plane... trying to tear it apart chaotic entropy for the void... a deeply instinctual process to spread and consume all living beings. I also want to put more focus on the mental aspect of the changes, the effects of the mind as parasite and host are merged together, the aspect of resisting its corruption etc.

Of course they will still all be destroyed by Vuul when he does his little sacrifice, though I like the idea of Vuul potentially be able to manipulate and use some for his own ends after his corruption... considering he is made from the same magic as them (hence the similar eye motif.

Types:
Chest: Attaches to chest, corrupts individual and keeps their mind to lead the face infected as generals for the murk horde.
Face: Attaches to face, dronifies individual into a drone of the hive, serving in hard labour and soldiers to spread.
Brood: Monstrous creatures turned by murkmites which are reappropriated to defend the hive, covered in newborn murksmites

Rare Types:
Mindeater: More advanced Insect like murks that attach to the back of a creature, consuming its mind and augmenting their bodies, can develop into core of the hivemind and assist the queen
Queen: A more large and advanced murkmite that acts as the metaphorical "heart" of the hive. Its goo constantly grows and consumes the enivornment and terraforms it into the murky goo murks are made from. The queens can take over large and powerful creatures to protect and empower itself to defend the hive.
Slivers" A murkmite that looks more like a worm, can be inserted into a victim and basically turn them into a sleeper agent of the hive. It will mature and hijack the host's actions without knowing until it fully takes over when required by the hive.

If you are an artist or know artists that might be interested with this kinda theme let me know ! :> I've wanted to really focus more on the sort of horror-y corruption aspect of them, focusing on turning into a goopy monstrocity sorta vibe. I want to focus on the sort of merging between host and murk, becoming consumed with the euphoria of spreading and embracing their new roles to spread murk. All the while embracing that sort of alien and foreign theme of that eye staring into your very core, the eldritch nature of the goo and its victims.

While I do like the mindlessness to some extent of the current version, I feel it doesnt give them much character... and it leaves the concept a bit hollow? Strongly considering going through and selling some of my more unused characters in my attempt to kinda consolidate. While I have plans lorewise for many of them, I'm not completely attached to the point where I wouldnt give them up or replace them in the future etc. Feel free to check out my gallery and all the other characters no in my secondary/primary sonas are probobly gonna be fair game (with exception to the seers, for lore stuff/reasons). Long Discussion incoming (includes mention of NSFW themes, you have been warned)

I've gotten very very frustrated with people constantly calling me a popufur. I had a friend point out the other day that I've probably spent like 10s of thousands of dollars on commissions and he's right. It's a hobby I enjoy, and the worlds and characters I create are what honestly make life worth living for me as some asocial loner who works in a lab all day. The idea of getting lost in a world that doesnt share all the depressing qualities of real life is an escapism that may not be ideal but is good enough for me. That doesn't mean I started commissioning just to become popular or looking for attention.

Getting all these pictures has made it so I've picked up a bit of a following for better or worse. I absolutely LOVE sharing my character concepts and ideas, though I've also made many mistakes along the way. I've pissed off some artists by being a pompous prick, pretending I know better about certain character design decisions/being really picky. I have over 50 characters now, wonderful characters made by artists who put their heart and soul into it, and I leave them to sit on a bench till I find some strange idea to apply them to. The way I treated certain artists haunts me to this day, and I can't get myself to ever apologize directly because I'm so embarrassed about it.

That's just my manner of saying just because I'm popular doesn't mean I'm a perfect human being, and neither are any other popular furries on this website. They just spent a lot of money and maybe had some good ideas or adopted a cool character along the way (or make some amazingly cool art!). At the end of the day, I and many others didn't start commissioning to be popular. Though in that mantle of irony, I was also constantly refreshed to see how many people were interested in my characters initially; there is a genuine justifying/comforting feeling for others to show interest in your ideas. Equal to that is the dread of realizing when your work or interests are not desired nor wanted, which I will admit was a bit paralyzing to me in the beginning (especially when sharing my early stories). That to some extent, is true for all humans: people want to contribute to their field, publish great works of fiction, and become popular figures in the eyes of millions of adoring fans in a vain attempt to be remembered in the annals of history long after their deaths.

In a way, the furry community only exists because of commissioners. It exists because this constant mechanism of purchasing power keeps artists engaged in continuing/improving their hobby. It's a unique and wonderful creative expression and culture which you will find nowhere else despite its many flaws in an era of depressing corporatism. I like to be just another piece of that puzzle, making my own contribution and supporting the artists who bring ideas to life, and I hope it continues long after I leave this community. It does, however, reveal a great inequality of which the furry community is dominated by large commissioners who carry a lot of influence. Don't let them manipulate you with the opportunity to get a commission with their characters or feel the need to constantly please them in an attempt to get a commission. From my experience, many of them are just normal people, and its very irksome when you show up with some parasocial connection and idolization to them. I fell into that same boat at first; we all started idolizing certain characters or commissioners/artists.

At the end of the day, commission things that make YOU happy. Don't feel a need to commission certain themes to appease the people who watch you (trust me, if you are looking at the numbers, you'll find trends pretty quick). Find a small community of people you really understand and know well, who share your interests and desires, true friends you can fall upon in the darkest times. Don't go out into the world expecting everyone to like you, and don't expect everyone to like you in return. From all the drama I've experience in this community people are constantly going after each other's worse traits or vices, though in reality perspectives and first impressions can widely vary on inter-human relationships. Morality is grey, and people do stupid things they regret all the time without being literal satan (that's not to say bad actors don't exist (especially in this community, there are a constant stream of people that will try to take advantage of you), but I feel people are just waaaay too quick to judge). I've seen too many people influenced by "social media depression" where they get all sad and droopy because they aren't getting traction, and I'll tell you right now it's a hopeless venture to try to get satisfaction from the number of views or favourites you get.

Are you currently sad that no one is acknowledging your art or interested in your characters? Trust me, I have plenty of characters that people don't drool over and I know how that feels. It doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is how YOU interpret them and build them up: Invest in that character, create a story for them, and people will acknowledge that amazing commitment you've made. Most of us are all just huge nerds with escapism in our minds, with our own reasons for joining this community. Don't change your character in need to conform to people with contrasting interests. I've had plenty of friends who simply had characters they grew complacent with, and just giving them a smidgen of a bit of story to attach to/start from revitalized their love for their characters seemingly overnight.

This is a note, especially for younger fans in the Furry community, you'll find yourself much more excited by nsfw themes in your early 20s, but that novelty gradually fades over time. In fact, the obsession over NSFW themes has irked me for some time, people using fetishes or kinks just to obtain sex slaves or extremely questionable morality. Corruption is a really cool thing as a fantasy concept, but I mean there is just such an obsession with non-consent that sometimes scares me with certain themes like mind control/hypnosis. If you talk about how much you want to consume people's souls and enslave them, you won't make many (good) friends, bucko. Commissioning and getting stuff like that doesn't attract the best people; the attention it entails can be extremely uncomfortable with creepy comments and notes. Of course, it's all fiction at the end of the day; I'm not saying those people will go out and hurt someone IRL. Though it feels lacking, people limit themselves to such small obsessions and never really explore or consider anything outside those themes. Now in my mid-20s, I got to say the pristine sheen of getting this sort of edgy nsfw theme has faded into more of an opportunity: an opportunity to explore gender expression, a way to explore my own misgivings and vices as a human being through my characters, really exploring and creating characters which I care about.

To use a popular example, the game GROVE does work with a lot of fetish material with stuff like corruption like I mentioned above. But they also contrast it with the actual horror the characters are experiencing when corrupted/under the influence of these dark figures. Corruption at the end of the day is a terrifying aspect which should be rightfully feared, even if the corrupt individuals are incapable or realizing what they've done until they are freed of their chains. Not acknowledging that and simply just blindly embracing it as a concept removes one of the most important aspects of corruption which is rooted in characters not acting like themselves. The euphoric power or influence you obtain losing a piece of yourself either physically or mentally is in direct contrast to any power you obtain. The second you lose that aspect, whats left in that picture or concept but just porn as an excuse to create sex-slaves or something. Its a fine line to cross, one which I imagine very few people actively contemplate.

Now I am also asexual, so that contributes to my desires, but in a way, being asexual in this community seems like an oxymoron. If someone wants to commission nsfw themes until their deaths, I couldn't care less, but try to find something out of it outside just porn; else, you'll find it starts getting old really quick as there are only so many pin-ups and poses you can take. Being ace has always been something I've had to justify to my friends, "Oh you commissioned nsfw stuff though, you can't actually be ace etc", which frustrates me to no end. Be nice to people who don't want to commission something nsfw or make their characters overly sexual. Make your characters something more than just a cocksleeve and you'll thank yourself for it.
