Dragoneer, may he rest in peace
Posted a year agoUpon opening twitter at around 12:30 in the morning, I like many others, was met with the tragic news that FurAffinity's founder and owner, Dragoneer had sadly passed on. Unlike some of the people on this website, I myself never had gotten the opportunity to speak with him. Though I do credit him and this wonderful trashfire of a website (as I affectionately refer to it), to helping me realize who I am as a furry back whenever I was still a teenager and fledgling fur. If it weren't for this website, I would've never met some of the amazing artists that I am proud to call my friends and acquaintances, and for that I'm eternally grateful.
I know that nothing can ever be perfect and last forever, and like many others, am uncertain about the future of FA without Dragoneer. But what I am grateful for is a place where I can be myself, as a thembo lion on the internet, and also share the many cool and interesting pieces of creative work on this site to my friends.
I offer my heartfelt condolences to both Dragoneer's family, both by blood and by bond.
Thank you Dragoneer, for everything.
May you finally get the peaceful rest you rightfully deserve.
