I'm thinking I'm going to start working on some art of pop culture furry girls to turn into Acrylic Standees to sell at conventions. Who are your favourite pop culture furry girls? No other criteria. I'm just trying to get a sense of who's top of the pile right now!

(Also you can suggest furry boys if you really think I could draw them well, but I'm less confident)

Also don't be afraid to suggest things already suggested. The more times a character is mentioned the more likely she'll make it to top of the list.

I finally have an appointment to get my first vaccination. Even as a 36 year old front line worker I still have to wait until May 25th. I used to tell myself that when I thought nobody wanted me alive it was just the depression talking. After seeing what feels like the entire world get fully vaccinated before I do and facing customers every day who imply they'd rather I be dead than inconvenience them buying yogurt, it's a lot harder to tell myself that now.

I'm sorry, it's been a long time since I've put up a journal this depressing but I'm at a pretty low point right now and I don't know what else to do.

I live in Ontario which despite being in full lockdown is currently experiencing record-setting and still growing numbers of Covid cases.

My day job is also working cash at a grocery store.

Canada has no pull with the vaccine manufacturers, Canada is FAR behind the US and EU on vaccinating its population. It's currently the last half of April and I'm not even eligible to book a vaccination appointment yet. This means that I get to go into work every day without a vaccine and come home every night worrying this is the day I've contracted Covid.

Now mind you, if I got Covid I could take sick leave. The Canadian government is currently offering paid sick leave through employment insurance without needing any kind of medical documentation. I could just call in sick for the next two months and get paid for taking the time off. Funnily enough, I would actually make over double what I would make going into work by being sick (or faking being sick) but I choose not to do that because that would be cheating the system and I feel an obligation to my fellow people to make sure they get their groceries. If people don't get their groceries, then society will really fall apart.

So I go into work every day, stress about getting sick and make less money than I would make by staying at home because I want to do the right thing. I follow safety rules to the letter with zero compromise to make sure that I do everything in my power to ensure nobody gets sick on my watch, and I try to be as friendly as possible while I do it.

How am I treated for that?
"Have a nice day." -Me at the end of an order
"Go fuck yourself." -Woman who apparently didn't like I politely asked her to back up when she was too close to the other customer

I have nothing left in me. I'm trying to do the right thing and I'm being punished physically, emotionally and financially for it. I honestly don't think I can keep this up any more.

Right now my goal is to get the comic to pay for its own hosting, so every dollar helps.

There's a plush toy I want to buy but the site only ships withing the Philippines. Anybody know somebody who might want to act as a shipping middle man to make a few bucks for the trouble?

In the interest of making Recursion more accessible to people who aren't into like... uhh... furry porn, I'm considering splitting my gallery into separate "Squeaky Clean" and "Naughty Stuff" accounts.

Basically, comic related material and G/PG non-comic related art would stay here, whereas anything with fetish content or nudity would be deleted and then re-uploaded into a second account where you can binge all the naughty art you want.

I feel like the Venn diagram of people who might like my naughty art and people who might like my comics doesn't fully overlap, and this split might make people in one of those categories more comfortable with subscribing.

However, I wouldn't want to make such a drastic change and probably mess up a lot of bookmarks without feeling out my followers first. What do you think?

Today I was looking through old art in my gallery and it was hurting my eyes. I briefly considered purging my old art out of shame, but then I realised that my old shitty art just shows off how much I've grown. So my old shitty art is here to stay and here's looking forward to when the stuff I'm submitting now is also old shitty art.

I've reached the maximum number of commissions I feel I can responsibly take on right now. Thank you everyone for your responses, I really like the ideas people have put forth and I'm happy at the turnout. I look forward to getting progress done on them.
