i know i haven't posted anything since months so i'm just gonna be blunt and say this hasn't been my year social and online wise
motivation has still been in a all time low but i am eventually getting to a point where maybe it's not a bad thing to expand and post other things other than art so that i'm not completely and utterly dead, because i've been wanting to make this account art focused since that's what fa is, an art site, but i've noticed that focusing on one topic alone causes less activity if you haven't even been indulging in it

i won't lie when i say it's been really stressful, especially after the election when trump "won" (he didn't, he cheated) along with just the furry fandom being a toxic mess by being so toxic and antagonistic to literally anyone that's different than most and doesn't fit in their "cookie cutter" expectations (harassing/bulling babyfur's murrsuiters, petplayers, etc)

since then i've been active on tiktok and more political online than i usually am, and as of recently i've opened about my stance on the fandom and why it's just not as good or safe anymore as much as it pains me to admit it (i still very much love the fandom, but it's been taken over by normies and posers)

which hey good thing about this is it's gotten me more "motivated" i guess to exist in online spaces and post despite not being fond of people or social interaction with strangers too super much (i'm still friendly just anxious!)
i have made some art as practice, i didn't post it yet, and i am working on a remaster of tenacious's ref along with making a ref for oatmeal. i plan on nuking folders and redoing them a bit because they're disorganized and outdated. i do however have something very exciting on the way with the help of me and a really close buddy of mine, nothing too huge but still great. once it arrives i will be posting it!

so other than that, i want to make a list of plans i have artistic or not and i'll try to get to working on it eventually posting it on here:
- art challenges (practice)
- updated and improved ref sheets of two fursona's (tenacious and oatmeal)
- political and activist art
- video game screenshots featuring said fursona's usually
- every once and a while irl pictures (NO face reveal or anything too super personal)
- vent art (actually trying and going through it)
- new creatives alongside artwork (architecture and voice acting)
- ych's and adopts (free unless stated otherwise)
- first commission opening
- first request opening after years (WITH TOS THIS TIME)
- possible art trades, collabs, and gifts (art trades and collabs friends only unless otherwise, and gifts friends and people i really like)
- comic storyboarding and working + trailer or teaser (fanfiction, house of mouse au)
- con/furmeet photos + fursuit(s) and fursuit making (it will happen promise lmao)

any of these aren't gonna be done in any order but those are my plans that i wanna work on and get done at some point
keep in mind of current events and happenings politically, as some of this may take extra time or put on hold due to me wanting to fight for me and everyone else's rights, protesting, and again focusing on important issues.

i know that people typically don't like politics and don't wanna talk about it, just that this year's election and results of it have forced my hand into it because i want and need a better future for everyone involved. please understand this (racism, sexism, pro rape, pro life, and maga's/trumpers are NOT welcomed here)

I haven't posted on here for a while and it's within good reason, my mental health isn't as strong as I want it to be especially considering that so many people have been dying lately.

Now onto something more important: one of the first furries that helped found the fandom and make what it is today has died last month due to liver cancer, Mark Merlino (Sysable).

It's genuinely such a heartbreaking time within the community, I feel for those that were close to him; his family, friends, and partners. Losing a loved one to cancer is so incredibly hard to handle, I'm genuinely not good with words but as someone who's dealt with people having cancer before, finding out that he died and how he died was absolutely devastating.

Him dying wasn't too much of a surprise unfortunately, I expected something like this to happen at some point one way or another, however it's how he died is what shocked me. He deserved to go out in a less painful way, however I'm glad that when he passed it happened in his sleep as I believe that's the least painful way to go.

Him and Rod O'Riley are such important people and it's completely inspiring the things they were able to do, never giving up on the way. The furry fandom is not only a unique fandom but also very artistic and beautiful, I ran across it in middle school and became my special interest since then. Genuinely I don't know where I'd be today or who I'd be today without such a wonderful thing existing if it weren't for these men, thank you for being here and being you 💗

Even typing all this was hard, no other major death in the furry fandom has hit harder than this and is something I won't ever be able to fully move on from it. Always in memory, always loved, rest in peace Sysable

Sorry this is gonna be a political journal but for a good reason, a artist I liked and followed is a confederate which is honestly so sickening that I only found out about this after having followed them for a while.
