I need a hand here. D: I said to myself a few weeks ago, I'd get myself a commission for finishing this year of uni. Problem is, I've no idea who to ask.

I'm looking for an artist who's comfortable drawing animals, furries and/or humans. I'm also hoping for some reasonable prices too.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Retiring the Derwent pencils I've used for the past four years in favour of Faber Castell Polychromos pencils!

That's probably my first significant tool upgrade since...ever. o.o

Because it's been a while since I've done this, I'm going to accept some free sketches. :p

They'll be pretty basic sketches, nothing too fancy. ^^

Quick rules: any ideas should conform to what I like. Any ideas which don't, I'll refuse. One character only, please! I'd like to accept more than a couple of people's requests. In addition, if the idea is something I can't draw at all (you ought to know this from the content in my gallery), I'll not accept it. Tell me about how fat Tene is to show me you've had a read of this.

I began contemplating it this morning. My turnaround of art is incredibly slow, but I want to show more of my work to you all. What would you think about me posting more sketches/WIPs/doodles? Heck, I'm even considering opening for cheap sketch commissions.

My brown pencil has expired itself just as I was beginning to colour something.

This complicates things. ><

Well, I need to start looking for a replacement pencil, preferably a Polychromos as I'll be starting to use these pencils from now on.

I might put up some sketches just to show my efforts anyway. :p

Three of five years completed.

Damn I'm tired.

Over the years, I've become more accepting of people who repost artwork. I'm not impressed if these people claim a whole load of credit for the art, though; that would be like me hanging a da Vinci painting on my wall and taking all the glory for it.

But I think what actually irritates me (and irrationally so) is the art being renamed when it's uploaded.

The artist gave the piece a name. That is its name. Back to my Leonardo da Vinci analogy, that's like me hanging the Mona Lisa on my wall and proclaiming "I think this piece would be better being called 'Jennifer.'"

Other than drawing stuff. XD

Urgh, I'm tired of all this endless revision.

I am gonna need one big fat belly to flop on and sleep for a week, I think. x.x

That's right, I'll be open to collaboration with some artists! I feel this will be a really good way to meet more artists and deliver some awesome art with them!

I'd be happy doing either lineart or colouring, but I'd like to start with colouring first. ^^

I think, with only two years between now and when I finish education for good, I've come to the realisation that education is really, really, really hard. However, I don't think I can deny it's changed me for the better. I've become independent, I've developed responsibilities which will serve me well through a working life and most importantly, I've made some truly brilliant friends.

This year hasn't been my most successful in terms of grades, but it has taught me about the difficult nature of the work I'll be going into. This time, five years ago, I'd have straight-up refused to work past nine in the evening. Now, finishing at midnight is a natural thing. My work ethic has exploded. I enjoy what I'm doing and although I may not get the grade I've been aiming for, I'm so proud of myself for getting this far. And with my placement next year, I'll be putting my skills to use.

That all said, I can't wait to get to summer so I can work on art, especially my newest challenge: commissions. I've had one wonderful customer who has ordered his second commission from me and I'm hoping I gather more interest soon. I think it's only fair to tell you all why I'm accepting commissions. Of course I'll have income from my job next year but that'll be dedicated to living costs and such. Money I earn from commissions will go towards a new computer which should allow me to work faster and more efficiently, especially within my future industry. Plus, I'd love to save up for a camera and stuff so that I can stream my work. At this current point, I don't know what else there is.

I'm under a lot of stress right now and I really, really appreciate the time anyone takes to come chat with me. I love a good conversation and am always open to meeting more people here.

I dunno, I just saw this on Twitter with a picture of a cat flopped over on its side. Being a cat, it was probably luring people to give tummy rubs so it can engage in some playful fighting but eeeeh.
