Posted 8 years agoMy fiance and I just got possession of our new home today!
Loooots of construction still needs to be done... especially the basement, which we will be living in.
I need to get the bathroom, walls, flooring, and kitchen all installed before I have my baby in September!
The Sphynx breeding project has been put on hold! The cats were going to be my main job aside from our dogs but some how our pet Sphynx got this cat disease coronovirus? (I think it is spelled...?)
That ended up spreading to our breeder female! (there goes $5600 for her) :/
Might have to get her fixed now and re home her... if it doesn't go away soon then I have no choice! I cannot have her breeding and giving this disease to her future kittens.
We get our male breeder here in a few weeks! so he will be isolated until we come to a decision. The first Sphynx to get it is our pet sphynx who already has a unknown skin allergy... he is not doing well at all! We have spent thousands of dollars on vet bills for him so far. Daily Injections, creams, shampoos, 4 different medications, new foods, blood tests, stool samples, etc! Nothing is working for him and he is getting worst. He looks like he is dying but every vet I have spoken to does not want to put him down?
He is clearly in pain!
He is covered in open sores, he is skinny, none stop runs, I have to keep him isolated from our other cats too so he is very lonely. He doesn't look like he is gonna make it but all the vets keep saying is they want to do more testing (THE SAME TESTS) all because he isnt a year old yet.
So with all that our money is getting drained... our honeymoon has been completely canceled. Also Our wedding is this MAY! NEXT MONTH.
we still haven't got everything booked now because of lack of funds. We tried to get some Govt help with funds since my fiance is pretty much out of work completely and we dont qualify.
That sounds good and bad :'D
So with all that I have been trying to sell most of our belongings to help make up for the now negative balance in our bank account... $3,504 + $2,300 on our Visa.
Trying to sell art and character adopts is really tough! It's tough making a living as a artist... BUT! My baby comes first now. So If I have to sell all our furniture and belonging so that my baby can at least have a crib and clothes then YEAH! i'm gonna do it.
This ended up being waaayyy longer then intended... Sorry! if you have read up to this part. WOW thank you for taking the time! I'm not looking for pity or pats on the back and such! just a looong update on whats happening. Where I might be and such, I hope to upload a ton of stuff soon to hopefully sell something... so yeah! Commissions of all types are open for ever!
