Hot rodent men
General | Posted a year agoNo, it's not clickbait. But unfortunately, it's not the reason you clicked either.

3:30 if the time stamp didn't work.
And I call bullshit. We've had hot rodent men long before Hollywood, and that is not even remotely what that means.
(sigh) Well, as long as you're here... Favorite hot rodent man?

Deep mouths.
General | Posted a year agoI have not laughed this hard at something I 100% agreed with for a very long time.

Want to use my characters?
General | Posted a year agoIt's come up a few times, so I thought I should just put it in writing. Here are the rules regarding the use of my characters:
#1: You may not use my characters if I am on your block list (yes, this has come up before), nor may you use my characters without crediting me as their creator.
#2: You may not monetize or merchandise my characters without my consent. This does not include accepting commissions from third parties.
#3: The use of my characters does not imply my endorsement of the material, nor does it entitle one to promotion via a repost.
And that's it. Beyond that, I invite everyone to treat my characters the same way they would treat any other copyrighted character. It's only fair, I figure, that I be as free and understanding with people using my characters as I would hope Nintendo, Disney, DreamWorks, etc. would be with me if they saw some of the things I have done with their characters.

Kung Fu Panda 4 + trailers reactions
General | Posted 2 years agoThere's a fish who was adopted by a pelican and now lives in her beak.
There. That's all I needed to know -- I loved it. Bye.
(long awkward pause)
Okay, fine, I'll say more. The simple answer is that, if you liked the previous three, you'll like this one too. It's a solid entry into the series.
It's just disappointing because, while it is still solid enough, it squanders a lot of potential to be incredible.
The return of Tai Lung and the Chameleon are both squandered, the former by not amounting to nearly as much as it could have, and the latter by effectively being an "all the previous villains combined" villain in a movie that clearly does not intend to be the last one.
And the new character, Zhen... Well, there's nothing wrong with her, but it does feel kind of like she's basically Master Tigress Lite. Which is not what is needed in a movie franchise that is already struggling under the weight of an overabundance of characters.
But everything else is at least as solid as it's been. The best in the series by far was still #2, but this doesn't represent a dip in quality either IMO.

Pelican music video
General | Posted 2 years agoSo... Something was recently brought to my attention... And since my fortune cookie got more lulz than I would have expected, I figured this might be worth sharing here too.

It's a good thing I don't have roommates that watch MTV anymore... And that MTV isn't a channel for music videos anymore... That might've been awkward.

Less Sad New Year everybody.
General | Posted 2 years ago2023 was significant for me as it was my first year alone. Which is something I've wanted for 20+ prior years.
Was it good? No. But it didn't suck nearly as much as having to spend another year with all of the people I'd been forced to share all of the previous years with would have been.
I didn't manage to get out of Las Vegas as was my resolution for 2023, so it's my resolution once again in 2024. And wherever I end up, I'm also expecting, not to have a good year, but to have a way less terrible one.

Yet another freakin' Christmas journal
General | Posted 2 years agoIt's a good thing I decided to post my commissions on Australian Christmas. Because tonight I stumbled across something in storage that reminded me I come from a family of douche kabobs and sucked all the Christmas spirit right out of me.

KFP4 reaction
General | Posted 2 years agoThis appears to be a legit trailer. So here we go:
https://youtu.be/5o-reTATkBU
So... First reaction: Holy shit.
One of DreamWorks's most recurring mistakes, including which was made with the third movie, IMO, is feeling like they need to cap it at a trilogy. Consequently, the middle installments tend to be their best. They introduced the concept with the first, took everything great about the first and dialed it up to eleven with the second, and then brought it back in to a satisfying yet predictable conclusion.
Don't get me wrong, HTTYD3 and KFP3 were both great movies. But neither one holds a candle to HTTYD2 and KFP2. And in both cases, it felt (to me, at least) like they were compelled to make the third one the last and to wind it down rather than dialing it up.
This looks like somebody screamed "Fuck that!" and dialed it all right back up to eleven again, if not even further. Bigger action, darker themes, an orchestral "Seven Nation Army" cover, and a villain that could very well be the stuff of nightmares.
It almost looks at times like they weren't concerning themselves with whether they got the PG-13 rating. Mind you, I don't think they actually got it, but given that the first KFP movie came out fifteen years ago, I do think it would be smarter on their part to keep it just under the PG-13 rating as opposed to blatantly pushing it over the PG line like all the other animation studios keep doing. And there's very little doubt that one of the greatest triumphs of PIB:TLW was with the way the handled Death, so it wouldn't surprise me all that much if somebody at the company declared that menacing nightmare fuel villains were going to be their new company standard.
Oh yeah, and they're bringing back Tai Lung. Which, if you've read my list or browsed my gallery, you can probably guess I had a little bit of a fangasm over.
(long awkward pause)
And I predict much Rule 34 for Zhen.
(deep breath) Please, Jaguar Jesus, let this be good. For the sake of the franchise, and to light a fire under Disney's ass before they can screw up Zootopia 2.

Fortune favors the spineless
General | Posted 2 years agoA week ago, in between bouts of the usual Vegas bullshit, a customer came in and, when given his total, put what he claimed was a ten-dollar coin on the counter.
I didn't think it was real... But I didn't want to get into it with him (I've been bouncing three people a day as of late), so I accepted it into the till.
A little while later, during a quiet period, I started to worry about whether or not it was real. And if I didn't want to get into it with a customer, I certainly didn't want to get into it with management and/or corporate. So I took a Lincoln and five Washingtons out of my wallet and exchanged them for the $10 coin out of the till.
Fast forward to tonight. I worked swing yesterday and a grave shift tonight, so I've just been browsing around the net trying to keep myself awake to make sure I'm not falling asleep behind the wheel when it's finally time to go home.
For a while, Twitch fulfilled this need quite nicely. Then it just randomly decided that, if someone hits the refresh button a hundred times, that must mean he wants to see the first frame of a thirty-second advertisement for Season 2 of Loki a hundred times. So I need to find something else to do.
And that's when I remember the $10 coin. So I look up the value by coin, plus the year (1911), one of the results is "Indian head" so I click on that, and...
Google: $1,198
Tera: "Uuuuuhhhhhhhh... Are you sure?" (gets a second opinion)
Ebay: $1,350
Tera: "Buh... Oh... Oh my god... Oh-my-god-oh-my-god-oh-my-god -- Tera, calm down, don't scream and wake the neighbors."
I proceed to have shock-induced chest pains twice. First from the results, and second when I remember I had that thing in my wallet for an entire week (a wallet that I had at least twice left behind in the car because I was too busy bringing in groceries or takeout from Raising Cane's).
All thanks to a moment of complete and total spinelessness. ^^;
So... I'm not exactly in any great hurry to cash it in. I feel like it's been long enough that I can finally say this: Covid-19 was good to me.
I was an essential employee all throughout the pandemic. I followed all of the guidelines as much as possible -- I wore masks, social distanced, and basically acted like a fucking adult throughout the pandemic, and never got sick. Two of my co-workers, on the other hand, did test positive -- one of them tested positive three times. Another two gave their notice during the early months. So on top of all the stimulus that I never needed to fall back on, I worked my big fat beak off -- sixty to seventy hours a week -- and raked in overtime up the wazoo. So much so that, even after buying a car in 2022, I still technically haven't touched any of my stimulus money.
Ten years ago, this would have felt life-changing. And it's still a "holy shit!" moment, but it's not do-or-die like it would have been.
So... If there are any serious coin collectors in the fandom... *shrugs* Why not? All the pawn shops and ebay buyers will try to lowball me for it, so if I'm going to get less than it's worth, it might as well be from a fellow fur. ^_^

Going silent again
General | Posted 2 years agoOn my phone again. It rained today, and when I got home, my new apartment was flooded. Damn near everything I own is either wet, covered in mud, or both, including my computer. And to top it all off, I had worked a swing shift, so the front office was closed by the time I found out.
I don't know what will happen in the morning, but I doubt they will be of any help. If I have only learned one thing, its not to ever expect even a smidgen of compassion or competence anywhere from anyone in Las Vegas. God help me, if I need to move on the fly without the assistance of internet for the second time in two months, I'm just going to rage-quit this whole fucking city -- Ill put all but my absolute necessities in storage and drive straight to the closest Nevada border.
Every time I think I have seen the worst, it get ten times worse. This city is on a bullet train to Hell. Maybe I should just get out now while its only doing so figuratively.
EDIT: Okay, a small bright spot. As you can tell by the fact that this journal is now formatted, spellchecked and has all the appropriate punctuation, I was able to get the computer running. The floor is still soaking wet, but the power strip and all the chords are all dried and off the floor. So at the very least, if I do have to move on the fly again, I will be able to look for my next place online this time.
Doesn't make me any less pissed, or any more hopeful that I'll get any help from the office in the morning. There is literally dirt and mud in places I am 100% incapable of reaching by any conventional means. And even if I do get everything back the way it was, this night will haunt me. As long as I'm here, I will live with the knowledge that I'm just one rainy day from having the whole place flooded again, and long after I get out of here -- both this apartment, and out of Las Vegas -- I suspect it'll be years before I'm ever brave enough to leave anything on the floor again.

Baldur's Gate 3
General | Posted 2 years agoThe first two were some my absolute favorite video games OF ALL TIME. The fondest memories I had from my childhood were the few times when people actually left me alone, which was pretty much either playing Civilization II or playing Baldur's Gate.
And now, all these years later, Baldur's Gate is back... And they've grown up just as I have.
https://youtu.be/racq1ZEcXbI.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, they're finally going to let us do it. We can bang a shapeshifted druid.
Oh yeah, um, so as you can tell by my use of formatting, punctuation and end-paragraphs, I've worked something out that has restored stable internet to my life. More on that as it becomes relevant.

Going very, very quiet for a bit.
General | Posted 2 years agoJust got back from the front office, where, after reporting that I was once again without internet, the weekend manager QUITE LITERALLY told me to fuck off and she didnt care. So I am once again using my flip phone to warn everyone that my capacitz to participate in online activity is going to be very limited while I look for a new place to live, which will be difficult without the internet, but not impossible like these Vegas vermin seem to think. If you are an artist with a commission pending, feel free to procastinate.
Say No to Cox.
General | Posted 2 years agoI am writing this with my 4G flip phone because I have been without internet for four days. And during those four days, I have recieved FIVE different answers to the question When do you plan to come out and try to fix this?, all of which were big fat lies. Because anything beyond blatantly bullshitting me would require at least one employee to have both thumbs on the outside. So if Im unresponsive or slow to reply, blame Cox.
Got my playlist for Furmageddumb ready.
General | Posted 2 years agoI'm actually going to be working a grave shift during the June/July crossover, when we'll find out just what statements by the F.A. admins were bullshit and how many of us are still going to have accounts, so I'll know later than most of you will.
So I was originally thinking of just jokingly sharing that video leaked from CNN that was supposed to have only been played during the end of the world right before I left for work. But in the event that this does end up being my last journal, I'd like to think I did something positive with it.
So instead I found some songs by lesser-known (like "not even enough followers to be monetized on Youtube" levels of lesser-known) artists that might line up with the way everybody's feeling about the impending, currently unknown changes that are about to befall this community.
Enjoy. And please consider giving likes, subscribes and shares because, like I said, these are very little-known artists for whom even a little bit more support and exposure could mean a lot. Some of them have fewer followers than my anonymous gaming channel.
First, something that well embodies my opinion of the purity trolls and the admins that enabled them:

Work's been shorthanded by a sizeable margin so I've been working long and wonky hours again and haven't really had any time to really do anything with it... But, either way, there it is. So if I'm one of the victims of the upcoming Furmageddumb, that's where you'll be most likely to find me.

New policies (for me) and new plans.
General | Posted 2 years agoAs some of you already know, I have been blocking anyone who has been demanding the F.A. admins reverse their stance on treating ALL "fetish" art as 18+ or posting extended, often misleading rants about the admins' decision to acknowledge that at least some of the category labels on F.A. are not sexual by default.
I have un-followed or blocked twenty-two users since. Three of them were artists whose work was reposted and promoted in my gallery. Five of them have since responded by attempting to commit block evasion. One of them even direct messaged me on DeviantArt and outright threatened me not to feature my poke'sona's children ever again (the DA devs have already been notified).
For they and anyone still trying to argue that all fetish art is adult art (except when it appears in Saturday morning cartoons because "hur, dur, duh, they didn't intend for it to be sexual!"), here is the definition of the word "Fetish" from Merriam-Webster:
1
a: an object (such as a small stone carving of an animal) believed to have magical power to protect or aid its owner
broadly : a material object regarded with superstitious or extravagant trust or reverence
b: an object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion : prepossession
c: an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression
2: fixation
3: a rite or cult of fetish worshippers
Notice that the sexual definition is only the third footnote of one of three possible definitions.
The definition you should be more focused on, however, is #2 -- that of a "fixation".
Does it make it better to you purity trolls -- make it okay -- if I tell you that I do not have a vore fetish, I have a vore fixation?
(long awkward pause)
Yeah, who are we kidding? Stupid wretched things never gave half a shit in Hell about "protecting the children" and just wanted an excuse to write a million Trouble Tickets and shit on a million peoples' days while still feeling like you held the moral high ground somehow.
So now that we have that out of the way, here are my new personal policies.
#1: Anyone who expresses personal disapproval with the admins' decision to identify some categories as not sexual by default and allow underage characters to appear in non-sexualized "fetish" art, but otherwise make no attempt to force or lobby the admins to reverse this decision, will be un-followed, but will otherwise have their opinions respected and be ignored.
# Any artists featured in my gallery who do such will not have their reposts deleted or requests that F.A. users favorite the original instead be removed.
#2: Anyone who tries to lobby the admins to reverse the decision, whether on their accounts directly via shouts or comments, by posting "rant" temper tantrum journals, or by espousing any of the same moronic talking points I have already ridiculed a thousand times over by now, will be put on my block list.
# Any artists previously featured in my gallery who commit this offense will have their submissions replaced with the placeholder image immediately in my gallery excluding instances where doing so might be considered "calling out" (IE: submissions with high numbers of faves even though I told them to fave the originals, or artists who have contributed a sizeable number of reposts).
# Requests to favorite the original will be removed. Some artists have already had these requests removed after "cleaning out" their galleries, so this should not be taken as a form of calling out.
#3: You will no longer be informed that you have been put on block. I used to take the time to explain to the purity trolls why their arguments against were B.S., but I've repeated myself so many times that I can only conclude they never had any interest at all in anything other than gutting F.A. for their own amusement. If you have recently been blocked, consider this journal your notice.
Okay. Now onto my plans for F.A. for the future...
#1: I will not be quitting F.A. nor deleting anything from my gallery. I leave that up to fate and the admins.
#2: I presently have an incomplete fanfic and some pending commissions. These will be posted / reposted as soon as is appropriate following my pre-shitstorm guidelines.
#3: After this, I will not be making any commissions through FurAffinity for the remainder of June. If, in the second week of July, I still have an active F.A. account, I will consider the shitstorm to have passed and resume business as usual as best one can in the post-shitstorm state. Until then, artists will only be commissioned through their accounts at other websites.
#4: I might go silent in July, but this should not be taken as an indication that I have quit F.A. I've got a big long to-do list and it'll be a lot easier to focus if I don't need to worry about maintaining a continuous internet connection or using it to check on F.A.
#5: I will look into any and all possible alternatives to F.A. Right now, they all appear to have one drawback and/or red flag or another, so I won't post a "where you can find me" journal until I've had a chance to really vet my options and make a choice that fits my needs. I may open an account at Inkbunny, for example, to stay in touch with other artists, but I've already ruled it out as possibly being a good fit for myself.
Thank you, good night, and good luck.

Don't whine that I blocked you.
General | Posted 2 years agoIt's block evasion, which is against the ToS (and not just the recent one).
And besides, I thought you hated what was in my gallery? So why are you upset that I won't let you comment on something that you don't want to see?
Yup. Since the admins started backpedaling hard and clarifying more and more what the proposed rules (allegedly) will NOT apply to, the purity trolls have started outing themselves.
I've already blocked at least a dozen users, one of which had previously done art for me (it has since been removed), and another I had known for years and many times tried to offer supportive comments to their many "life is hell" journals.
It hurt, but I need to remind myself the pain is not because some once decent people just suddenly turned on us. It's because some truly rotten people had successfully masqueraded as decent people for years without me being able to tell.
Both of those people had seen my gallery before -- they knew my poke'sona was a proud parent who carried his children around in his beak (just like the Pokedex says they do). And yet they were both all smiles to my face while they quietly pushed the admins, year after year, to make changes that they knew would affect that.
And BTW, both of them also had stuff in their galleries that I'm pretty sure would not have passed if the changes they had been pushing for were retained.
I could laugh at the hypocrisy of it, but I'm much more troubled by the knowledge that this is just the chip off the iceberg, that a lot more purity trolls are going to out themselves with temper tantrums at the admins for backpedaling on the purge (even if the admins are once again lying about it and the purge is still on), and it's going to be very surprising to see who some of them are.
But as unpleasant as it will be, it's also something we all need. Because, like I said, they didn't become rotten. They just stopped hiding it. And every time a troll accidentally outs himself, that's one less that can continue to pull this shit from the shadows in the future.
I'm still planning as if my suspension is inevitable -- the admins have been caught lying about this multiple times already and I don't trust them when they try to reassure me that the content in my gallery is exempt (especially not when much more prominent artists have already been suspended for the exact same "offenses"). But I'm also making a list of names of people who are going to be automatically blocked if they try to worm their way back into my life on any of the alternative sites.
If you are a purity troll who pushed for this shit, you will NEVER be forgiven. So try to content yourself with eventually being forgotten.

I changed my title in protest
General | Posted 2 years agoBecause that's what the new rule change is effectively trying to take away from me.
First they said I couldn't be a dad to humans. Now they're saying I can't be a dad to Pokemon.
I've said this a hundred times before, but just like the arguments against banning underage characters as a whole, they are once again forcing me to repeat it:
I did not give Pokemon, and later humans, to my Poke'sona to carry around in his beak on a whim. I was inspired to do so by the Pokedex.
RUBY: "Pelipper is a flying transporter that carries small Pokémon and Eggs inside its massive bill. This Pokémon builds its nest on steep cliffs facing the sea."
SUN: "Its spacious beak is large enough for a small child to fit right inside."
ULTRA SUN: "It places small Pokémon into its spacious beak and carries them around. No one knows where it's taking them."
VIOLET: "It protects its young in its beak. It bobs on waves, resting on them on days when the waters are calm."
OH NO!!! POKEMON VORE IS CANON!!! AND PELIPPER DOING NONFATAL VORE ON ITS CHILDREN IS CANON!!! AND SINCE, PER THE WORD OF THE ANONYMOUS F.A. ADMINS, ALL VORE IS PORNOGRAPHIC, THAT MEANS PELIPPERS ARE ALL PEDOS!!! MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE CALLED IT PEDOPPER!!!
[/sarcasm]
Fuck it, I'm not doing anything in response to this. In fact, I'm going to do the exact opposite: I am going to go back and RESTORE all the artwork that I had previously replaced with placeholder images out of precaution.
Why would I do such a thing? Because this proves, not only that the purity trolls among the admins know damn fucking well what they are doing and are doing it deliberately, but that it's never going to stop.
They said it themselves when, through the Fender puppet, they described their changes as "well-received". So yeah, that shit show where hundreds, if not thousands of users either purged their galleries or announced that they were leaving in protest? That was the response they were hoping for.
At least apart from the part where many of the artists they targeted purged their galleries before they could be given any more strikes and/or banned. Hence the expansion: They're gearing up to go after those accounts again.
So if I'm one of them: Fuck it, I don't care. If the purity trolls want to ban me, purging my account of every image featuring one Pokemon acting like a parent to another won't stop them from just expanding their definition of "underage" even further to include something else in my gallery.
What's next, purity trolls? Will you consider kangaroos to be pedophile-by-default because of all the pouch stuff on F.A.?
Chances are absolutely nothing will happen since I wasn't one of their original targets. I'm not significant -- if I'm suspended for a period of time, it will not result in entire droves of F.A. users demanding answers like when they went after Strega and Charem.
But now they'll have to purge my account in its entirety -- to leave no corpse behind over which the rest of their hellspawn brethren can gloat -- if they want to erase the record of what they've done.
I am the Papa Pelipper. I carry kids in my beak because I love them, because I protect them, and because it's part of the fucking canon!

Fender's a liar
General | Posted 2 years agoYeah, I know it's a mascot/news account so it's not even a real person. But FA's continued use of that account is allowing at least one psychotic purity troll to feel like they have complete freedom to pull the most blatant bullshit they want and do so anonymously.
The amended "policy update", plain and simple, is just an expansion onto the previous bullshit -- is just something else that has been debated to death so the purity trolls got rid of the debate -- that is so very obviously intended to enable them to target all of the accounts that survived the previous volley of bullshit.
But I especially loved this part:
"These changes were well-received-"
Really?! The month-long shit-show that followed was it being "well-received"? The exodus of artists who announced their departure from F.A. and the barrage of users accusing the admins of being deliberately deceptive -- of having purged the message boards just so we couldn't remind them we've talked about this before dozens of times in the past -- was "well-received"?
Fender's basically become an evil version of Unicorse. Only we don't know who's got their hand up Fender's ass and there is absolutely nothing funny about it.

Eat Your Friends Day
General | Posted 2 years agoYeah, it snuck up on me too. Besides, when you're a Swiss Army endo pred, pretty much every day is Eat Your Friends Day anyway (as I'm sure a lot of other vore furs have said already today).
So I thought I'd do something different: Look up "Eat Your Friends" on Youtube and see what comes up.
And I gotta' say I was not expecting to get so many song titles.

Fuck April Fools.
General | Posted 2 years agoMy least favorite day of the whole year.
It's the day I find out just how many people I know are idiots, assholes, or both.
So stuff your "FA sucks I'm leaving" journals. It's bad enough knowing I'm going to hear a thousand people yell "This is a robbery! Just kidding! April Fools! Hey, hey, where's your sense of humor?!" at me at work today -- I don't need anyone piling on top of it.
There, I've said it. Now play me off Silly Hat Committee!

BDay
General | Posted 3 years agohttps://youtu.be/Qnug5_h6DJQ
Specifically on the 26th.
Normally I don't even bother mentioning my birthday, both in real life and online, because I've had enough of them already that it feels like the only thing I'm celebrating is not being dead (though, in Las Vegas, that can feel like a monumental accomplishment).
But this year I decided to make an exception because-
#1: I've already seen a lot of other journals in just the span of a week making mention of another F.A. user's birthday coming up (happy pre-birthday to all of you as well).
#2: It's occurred to me that this one actually will be special because it'll be my first birthday alone. Or at least the first one without one or more of my immediate family shitting all over it.
It won't be the best. It won't top when How To Train Your Dragon releasing into theaters right on the date, and it will be topped by the first one I spend somewhere other than Las Vegas. But it will be the first one where I actually get what I've been asking for over thirty years.

No, not literally nothing. Just nothing from them. (plus that clip makes me laugh)

Drama and/or stupidity Pt. 2
General | Posted 3 years agoWell, it happened again. Was looking through my submission updates, saw one that was cute, tried to fave it and found out I'd been blocked again.
This time, it was not by an artist that had ever taken my money or used my characters, so it's not as big of a deal. And I assume it was once again for the [sarcasm] heinous an unpardonable offense of pointing out the stupidity of a recent rule change, reminding everyone that we've had that conversation before, and showing support for those who were punished for "offenses" that predated the rule change. Oh, so heinous of me, I am surely irreversibly damned to Hell for sure! [/sarcasm]
And I would have stayed silent about it this time because... Well, if I'm honest, because he was barely on my radar to begin with. But as I was going through his gallery making sure I de-faved everything, it occurred to me...
How the fuck did he know?
Has he been, all this time, lurking -- stalking -- the accounts, galleries and journals of every artist who was directly impacted by the rule change and blocking everyone who left a shout or comment showing support for those artists?
Did he do a bunch of F.A. searches for [redacted] and blocked everyone who came up on it?
I know I'm not a major contributor to F.A. -- 90% of my stuff is reposts from other galleries. So chances are that, if you're watching me, it's either because you and I had person-to-person contact before, or you share in my very specific laser-targeted interests.
So if liking the kind of stuff that I commission is a deal-breaker, how can it only now be coming to your attention? You're either a hypocrite who had me on watch all this time and have only just now decided to play purity police and block me, or you have a stick up your ass of such biblical proportions that you have allowed it to dictate your actions ever since the change was announced and will continue to do so until God only knows when.
So you know what, unnamed artist who blocked me and all who will in the future for the same "offense"? I'm glad, because now I know what kind of person you really are. It's okay to have deal-breakers (lord knows I've got a few), but there's a fine line between a deal-breaker and an obsession.
So if you're so terrified that I might comment on your artwork one day and you'll accidentally click on my name, accidentally click on "gallery" or "journals", accidentally scroll down and click "next" several times in a row and then accidentally click on something you find offensive, then please, feel free to block me too.

Did I really need more drama and/or stupidity?
General | Posted 3 years agoWell, apparently one of the artists I've commissioned thought I did.
Checked out the submission notifications. Saw one that I thought was cute. Clicked to ad to favorites.
That's one of the weirdest (but highly useful) things about # If you get blocked by someone you were following, you will still continue to receive updates. So you won't even know that you've been blocked until you try to fave or comment on something.
Not a freakin' clue as to when or why they did it. Which, for the record, is the only reason I take parting shots at people before I block them: Because even the biggest shitbag in Shitbagistan deserves to at least know the precise moment they crossed the line (regardless of whether they will use that knowledge in the future to avoid it or repeat it).
Doing it quietly, IMO, implies, at best, a great deal of cowardice, and at worst an awareness that they have no good reason and want to avoid it altogether -- to take no chance whatsoever that a neutral third party might see their final comment and respond to it with a "WTF is this?!"
(groan) So, that warning I gave last week about right-clicking/saving-as anything in my gallery? Consider that expanded to the whole gallery once again. I can't identify which pieces may be taken down without risking a strike for "calling out" the artist.
But I will give this one hint: While the artist wants absolutely nothing to do with ME ever again, they still evidentially want to keep having to do with my OCs. Everything I ever commissioned and reposted is still also in their gallery.
I've long said my characters were free to use however desired by anyone -- that I would show just as much tolerance for how mine are used as I would hope Disney, GameFreak etc. would be with me if they saw what I've done with theirs... But there's just something about this -- about wanting to make use of my characters whilst wanting absolutely nothing to do with me -- that I find deeply offensive.
So the warning is up again: Right-click/save-as anything you would miss. Even if you faved the original postings like I usually instruct people to do in my descriptions. My updated policy on the use of my characters: You can do whatever you want except try to divorce them from their creator.
Checked out the submission notifications. Saw one that I thought was cute. Clicked to ad to favorites.
You cannot favorite a submission by someone who has blocked you.
[Click here to continue...]That's one of the weirdest (but highly useful) things about # If you get blocked by someone you were following, you will still continue to receive updates. So you won't even know that you've been blocked until you try to fave or comment on something.
