Linda Wright and the Wriggling Jungle: Public Release
Posted 9 years agoFirst off, I want to thank everyone who has supported me over the years. You have all been wonderful and you make me happy to be an artist and eager to start new projects. But as of 2017, Linda Wright and the Wriggling Jungle Part 1 and 2 will be five years old. It's been pirated on more sites than I can keep track of and at the end of the day, I'd rather people see it from the legitimate source instead of going to sleasy sites riddled with viruses. That's why on January 1st, I'll be releasing the comic in full to the public. Call it a New Years present from little old me. Thank you all again for your support and I look forward to starting my next comic soon.

Moving time
Posted 9 years agoToday is the day we load the truck. All that packing and now we have to lift all the heavies up a ramp, engage in some tetris-level organizational skills, try to sleep it off on a pull-out couch, then drive it all seven hours away only to have to lift all that heavy stuff again down a ramp and up the stairs. Great times for me. Just let it be over...
Where has TB been?
Posted 9 years agoYeah, I know I haven't been super actively lately. At least, not in the artistic sense. I've been very busy at home making preparations. I'll be driving out to Las Vegas this weekend to do some interviews and check out some places and, if everything goes well (or at least not catastrophically wrong) I'll be moving to good ol' Sin City. So I'll probably continue to be quiet for the rest of the month as we make calls, pack and eventually move in late December. You'll probably know once I'm there because I am just artistically backed up and I really want to get some things on a digital canvas. I'll probably finish a few small things over the next few weeks but come January, I should be back to my usual schedule. Until then, my dear fans! Thanks for baring with me!

The Recovery Process Begins
Posted 9 years agoNew update today! While things have generally been slow and plodding up until now, I can safely say that I have now started on the road to recovery. Earlier today, I finally received my standing desk at work. I'm still waiting on my keyboard, mouse and mat but I'll gladly take a slightly stiff lower back over debilitating rotator cuff pain any day. Furthermore, I start my physical therapy tomorrow. Worker's Comp hasn't gone through yet but thinking on it, I'd rather pay out of pocket for treatment than live every day like that for another month. I'm not gonna get overly optimistic about recovery time but god damn is it good to actually be doing something to get better than play the waiting game.

Continued arm update
Posted 9 years agoSo as some of you may be aware, I was having some problems with pain in my right arm a few months ago. I've been pretty quiet about it for a while now because I hate to burden my followers with my personal problems but I think it's worth explaining why I haven't been posting much.
After my first episode, I saw a doctor who prescribed me some pain killers while I healed from a rotator cuff strain. My rotator cuff eventually healed but it was just a symptom of a larger problem. My day job has me sitting at a shoddy desk in a bad chair for the better part of 10 hours each day. I regularly see a massage therapist to alleviate the damage but it's catching up to me. Even with pain killers and massages, I'm in significant pain by the end of the day and when I get home, drawing is the last thing on the agenda. Lately my evenings have been spent resting, icing my aching muscles and just trying to keep myself from falling apart before the next day. It even persists into the weekends, making it hard to draw for anything more than a couple hours before I'm in too much pain to continue. I do my best to produce what I can but I'm so afraid of pushing myself too hard and injuring myself all over again. I requested an ergonomic desk from work but that was four months ago and yesterday I learned it could yet be another two months before they arrive. It's a bad situation.
It had gotten so bad that I had to put in a case for Worker's Compensation today. I don't know if anything will come of it yet but in an ideal world, I'll get some time off and physical therapy to manage my pain. But until that point, well, I'm just not going to be able to draw all that frequently. I thank you all for understanding and once I have something concrete, I'll get you folks updated.

Arm Update
Posted 9 years agoSo I went to the doc and the news wasn't bad. No tears, no permanent damage but it seems I did have a minor injury in my rotater cuff. Muscle likely sprained so they've got me on some anti-inflammatories and orders to not strain myself. Sports are right out but the doc says drawing should be fine as long as it doesn't put me in pain. I'll test the waters in one of my Tuesday streams and see how we're feeling after that. Worst case scenario, I can find a posture to draw on my phone that doesn't strain my shoulder. But obviously the tablet is the preferred medium of choice.
No matter how things go, I should be right as rain in a couple weeks so thanks for baring with me.
UPDATE: I tried some warmups and it went poorly. I can't draw more than 30 minutes before I'm in pain again. I'm going to have to take a break from drawing while I recover.

Brief break
Posted 9 years agoFor my health, I'm going to take a brief break from drawing. People who have been to my art streams are probably no stranger to my usual limitations. I can typically draw for around two hours before my shoulder really starts to ache and I have to take a break. The pain would always go away in an hour or so and I could get back to it so it was no major concern. But last week, my shoulder started to hurt whenever I lifted my right arm. It's been getting progressively worse to the point where I can't reach above my head without a very sharp pain. I've got an appointment with a doctor to check it out but until then, I really want to play it safe and ease off my arm entirely. I'll keep you guys updated when I learn more and hopefully, I can get back to the arts soon.

I'm on Furry Network
Posted 10 years agohttps://beta.furrynetwork.com/terdburgler/
Aaaand now I’m on the Furry Network. I’m already really digging the site so far. It FINALLY combined something I’ve been wanting to see for years: An art site with a Tumblr-style feed and a proper gallery. Even in it’s beta state, the layouts are great and the functionality is all there. I think I’m going to like this place quite a bit. Hope to see you there as more beta-access keys open!

ASPR Prints Complete
Posted 10 years agoIn a very unexpected turn of events, a friend of mine was able to print the entire first set for me! Granted, I still had to do the covers, the binding and the cutting but the comics are done and they came out great. I'll be shipping them shortly. In the meantime, if you had secured a printed copy and would like a personalized signature, just message me and I'll put it in there. Otherwise it'll just be signed under my pen name.
I'm just so glad the prints turned out so well. I was really worrying about it after my first printer dropped out. And I'm pretty sure this thing with my friend is a one-time deal... so that makes this comic an extremely limited edition!

ASPR Printing Hiccup
Posted 10 years agoSo the printer I had lined up for the comic dropped out on me. Seems we had different ideas on what 'adult content' meant and they refused to print pornographic material. Thankfully I got a full refund but I'm back to exploring print options. It's hard finding a printer that's reasonably priced and will print porn. Of the ones I've found so far, their quotes were higher than what it would be to print it myself (which remains an option). At the moment I'm currently looking into just finding a self-service printer at a local print shop and using that for the interior pages. I have all the materials needed for finishing so I think that's pretty viable. If that doesn't pan out, I'll just have to get some ink cartridges and do it all myself. Not the most cost-effective method but better than shipping it in from Spain. I'll keep you all updated on my progress.

Con Schedule pretty empty for 2016
Posted 10 years agoConvention opportunities are looking pretty bleak for me in 2016. Biggest Little Fur Con and Furry Fiesta are out, Furry Unlocked may not even happen and Rocky Mountain Fur Con is still up in the air. After three abysmal years in a row, I'm just done with Anime Banzai so really, it might just be a no-con year for me in 2016.
Folders Setup
Posted 10 years agoDamn that took a while! But I finally got my gallery sorted into nice, neat folders. I also deleted a lot of the particularly old and crappy artwork out of this gallery. It was kinda sucky doing it in the first place but now that it's done, it'll be a lot easier from here on out. Hope it makes it easier for you folks to see what you want!

Art Birthday, Patreon and More!
Posted 10 years agoHappy May 3rd Everyone! For those of you who don’t know, May 3rd is my Art Birthday* and every year, I try to do something amazing with it and this year is no exception. Today, I would like to announce my next comic project, ASPR: The Academy for Sexual Parasite Research. The spiritual successor to Linda Wright and the Wriggling Jungle, it picks up after Linda Wright and the Wriggling Jungle and follows Mia, a catgirl working for the organization dedicated to studying the creatures and others like the ones found in the Wriggling Jungle. But Mia may have bit off more than she can chew when she tries to show Dr. Wright that she’s got what it takes to play with the nastiest critters at ASPR.
The comic centers around Mia but features sequences with Grape and Linda. And unlike before, you won’t have to wait until the comic is completed to get your hands on it. This time, I’ll be updating the coming through PATREON, giving users immediate access to every single page as they’re completed! Because I hate waiting to finish the comic to show it to you and you hate waiting until the comic is done to see it. Subscribers get each page as they’re completed, Premium Supporters get WIPs and access to private streams while I work on new pages and The Whole Shebang gets you a signed, printed copy of the comic on it’s completion!
Join the PATREON Today. Fresh pages are already prepped to be uploaded.
https://www.patreon.com/TerdBurgler
But wait, there’s more! I won’t just stop at announcing a new comic project today. I’m upping the ante by Reducing Prices on ALL my Previous Comics! That’s right, Linda Wright and the Wriggling Jungle Parts 1 and 2 and The Check Up are all seeing a price reduction thank to my new delivery system. Users won’t have to wait for it to show up in their email, they’ll get a direct download the instant they’ve completed the purchase. And no, this ain’t no MediaFire or other bulky file download site. It’s add-free, direct and high speed.

The Check Up - $4 https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webs.....=UVWC5AUWJN9TG
And just how can I offer these fast, add-free downloads you ask? Well, it’s simple. The recently-launched http://www.TerdBurgler.com ! It’s not much now but it makes for a good, central hub for everywhere I am. And in time, it will surely expand as I have more time to play around with it. Well, that’s it! A little extra razzle-dazzle to commemorate my Art Birthday*. Thank you all for being fans and supporting what I do. It really does brighten up every single day for me and keeps me pressing on. Thank you.

*An Art Birthday is not an actual Birthday. TB wasn’t born on this day but rather launched their first webcomic on this day in 2004. It stands out as the day that TB first really started to take drawing seriously and so likes to celebrate each year of keeping at it and not giving up the craft. But really, it’s all a big thank-you for folks who continue to support and watch year after year.

General Updates
Posted 10 years agoSo, here are the things on my plate right now and how the are coming along. I'll start with the one people ask me about the most.
GYM JANE: Work has resumed after a brief (not brief) hiatus. Game portion is complete while sex scenes, Easter Eggs and extra features still need to be complete. Focusing on the sex scenes right now and I have finished 3 out of the 18 loops (including the Easter Eggs). Still need additional voice acting. And I gotta draw a thing for the composer.
PROJECT X: I've finished all the sprites needed from me immediately and until I get some sprite sheets, work there is on-hold.
NEW COMIC: I got sick of waiting to finish Gym Jane to get my next comic started. I've had it planned for quite a while and will star Mia while also featuring Grape and Linda prominently. Comic is completely written, three pages have full layouts and one page is sketched and awaiting inks.

Tumblr updates here?
Posted 10 years agoI've been thinking about it for a while and I'm really not sure where I'll land on this. For those of you who follow me on Tumblr, you'll see that I'm a lot more active there. There's a number of reasons behind that, namely the convenient mobile app, ease of browsing, multiple image uploads and its general informality. In all, it's just more enjoyable to use casually and throw up quick drawings that didn't get the full treatment. To that end, I begin to wonder how much my following would be interested in seeing that content here (as inconvenient as uploading it may be). There's plenty of multiple page comics, flat color drawings and sketchy things I don't post here because I worry it may be annoying to flood this place with quick, simple drawings. I also fear it wouldn't reflect so well on me if my gallery was stacked with crappy sketches, making my full pieces harder to find. In the end, I kinda wondered what you folks would think (as you would be the ones getting all the notifications). Do I migrate that content here or do I keep my Tumblr things to Tumblr?

Wriggling Jungle Printed Copies Available
Posted 11 years agoJust as it sounds, I have some spare printed copies of Linda Wright and the Wriggling Jungle left over from my last round of conventions. Quantities are limited so I'm gonna have to ask that you send me a note if you're interested in grabbing a copy. It's first-come first-serve and I'll try to delete this journal as soon as they're gone. $17 for Part 1 and Part 2, includes shipping if you're in the US. I can send international but it'll naturally cost more to ship.

What do you want to see in streams?
Posted 11 years agoI know I don't stream often but I guess one big reason is that I'm not entirely sure what you folks would want to see in such a thing. Consider this a forum for me to poll what it is you guys would like me to do.
I usually cannot finish an entire drawing for myself in one sitting so you would probably only be able to see one particular stretch of a drawing so I ask, would you rather watch the linework come together or see the colors and shading until it finally all comes together? Do you want to see me doodling quick pieces that probably won't ever see final treatment? Do you want request streams where I basically draw the first thing that tickles my fancy or do you want Commission streams where you can get something done for yourself right there, on the spot? Do you want to watch me working through tweened animations in Flash or see me creating frame-by-frame pixel animation?
Because in truth, I do a LOT of work that you guys don't see that I could be streaming but I'm not even sure if you folks would even want to see it. Where does it become something stream-worthy and when does it just become egotistical web pollution? So please, do tell, what is it that YOU like to see in a live stream?

Legendary Item - TB's Tablet auction
Posted 11 years agoThat's right, we've got an orange drop here people. It's all shiny and shit with a long list of magical properties n' stuff.
Not really, but it's still your chance to get a nice tablet for cheap. I have replaced my old tablet and now I would like it to find a good home that isn't just some random bloak on ebay. And you see, my old tablet ain't a bad one by any means. It's an Intuos4. Here's the goody specs:
http://www.engadget.com/products/wa.....4/small/specs/
It has served me well these past three years. And what is wrong with it, you ask? Well, nothing actually. I didn't replace it because it was breaking. I replaced it because I wanted something bigger. Now, the textured surface has been smoothed from years of use so it handles a lot like a bamboo but with double the pressure sensitivity. Here's all that's included:
Intuos4 Small Tablet
9-foot USB Cable
Intuos Pro Pen
Pen holder which holds a whole set of UNUSED nibs inside
Yes, it has a full set of unused nibs. I actually... forgot they were in there after I bought it and ended up buying a new set of nibs. When I got the new tablet, I solved the mystery of the hidden nibs so now... well yeah, you're getting a full set of fancy new nibs! Bidding will start below and INCLUDES SHIPPING.

About Last Night's Stream...
Posted 11 years agoI hope those of you who attended enjoyed last night’s stream but I wanted to make something abundantly clear. I really didn’t intend for the show to go in that direction. I’m normally quite the recluse when it comes to letting pictures of myself get out, let alone live, streaming video and… well, I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the exhibitionist aspects of what happened. I’m not saying I didn’t have fun and I’m certainly not saying I didn’t enjoy myself immensely but I really need to protect and preserve my personal life so please, please, please, any of you who were recording or taking screen grabs, don’t post those online. You’re more than welcome to enjoy them on your own computer, I just beg you not to throw it up on Tumblr or on reddit or anything. I have a real, professional life that doesn’t know I draw adult art and the last thing I need are pictures or worse yet, video of me knuckle-deep on webcam. Just… please, it’s okay if you recorded or got screen grabs, but PLEASE keep them to yourself.

Where has TB been?
Posted 12 years agoHeya folks! I'm sure you've probably been wondering about me. After all, I've been awful quiet here in the internet-o-webs. Well, here's the skinny.
Well you see, I've been up to an awful lot but they're all big projects. Gym Jane is back in full production. In fact, for the first time EVER for me, my animation has actually caught up to my writing! Yeah, I actually had to put animation on hold while I actually finished the writing process. Not to worry though, four fifths of the writing was already done when I restarted working on it and since I hit my road block, I've picked writing back up and I'm making good progress. Soon, the writing will be completed and the animation will be done to match. I still need to do all the sex scenes and the Easter eggs but it'll be nice to be getting to the juicy bits, ya know? It also means that I'll be opening up alpha testing. I have some friends that will help me with that part but I'd like to source some of that testing out to the general public too. You know, get a broader opinion on the general game mechanics. But that's for another day and it's also not the only thing I've been busy with.
Some of you may recall a piece I did not long ago with Linda in more sonic-style proportions. In that piece I mentioned a little game called Project X Love Potion Disaster. It's a fun, independently-developed hentai game. More importantly though, it's actually a good game with good mechanics. It's not just a game to get off too. It's just a fortunate side-effect. XD Anyway, I really liked the project and what they were doing. I mean REALLY liked it. I liked it so much that I wanted to be a part of it and that's just what I did. I joined the Project X Love Potion Disaster development team. It's a lot of fun! It's all pixel-work which is a different medium for me but it's getting easier and easier to work with. Either way, it's been taking up a lot of my free time and unfortunately, I can't really share what I'm working on with the world until the next version of the game is released. If you haven't seen the game, please give it a look over at: http://projectx.zetar02.org/ It's one of the best independently-developed games I've ever played, let alone been a part of!

Paint Tool SAI or Manga Studio 5
Posted 12 years agoSo, here's the dealio. For the past thirty days, I've been utilizing the Paint Tool SAI free trial just to give it a go. Prior to SAI, I had bee using Photoshop CS4, and I still use it for certain things, but honestly, it doesn't even come close to comparing to SAI for linework or painting. I use openCanvas 1.1 every now and again for linework but to be honest, that software is so primitive I just can't do full images with it anymore. Honestly, Sketchbook Pro on my CELL PHONE has more features than openCanvas 1.1. All that being said, I was very interested in dropping some dough to get the full version of Paint Tool SAI.
Then I heard about Manga Studio 5. Many prominent artists that I follow began using it and now, they swear by it. They say it is a vast improvement over Paint Tool SAI and has a lot of very useful features like automatically-generated perspective lines, stock backgrounds and screen tones. I like screen tones, gentlemen. My interest peaked, I wanted to try a trial version of Manga Studio 5- but it doesn't exist yet. All they have is a trial version of Manga Studio 4, and that requires you giving over a credit card number. Since I'm already very interested in Manga Studio, that normally wouldn't have been a problem for me, except that I don't want to end up trying out MS4 and then getting automatically billed for MS4 when what I really want is MS5. So I guess what I'm getting at is this:
I tried SAI. I like SAI. I liked SAI enough to purchase SAI but being one that also likes to make comics, would it be a better investment for me to get MS5? How do the two programs compare? What are features that would make MS5 a more appealing choice OR what are features in SAI that would make it more appealing than MS5? I don't really have the dough to throw eighty bucks at both of them so I really need to make a decision one way or the other and I'd like your opinions on the subject.
