How did I miss adding this update?
General | Posted 7 years agoSo, yeah, even after having finally moved out of my old apartment (not to mention my old state), it still slipped my mind to go ahead and fire off an update for my current status.
I'm sure, just by seeing this text on your screens, you can rest assured that, yes, I made it. I am no longer a resident of the doom-ridden and God-forsaken state that is Florida, and now I'm sitting... well, not quite pretty, but at least happier... in the state of Nevada. Specifically, I'm now a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, and just need to finally get my pegs squared away so I can get at least a state ID. Once that's done, I can see about getting a job and starting to make some money until I can upgrade from a state ID back to a driver's license again, and maybe even finally get my own wheels and get back to actually driving from place to place.
Baby steps, though. Baby steps. At least I finally got out of Florida!

I need assistance!
General | Posted 7 years agoNot sure how much I could possibly get from trying to plug this here, but just in case someone's willing to go ahead and spend some cash in my direction, this will at least help alleviate the stress that is my mother having just died and leaving me with some (well, one) of her unpaid bills. Please attempt to help here.

A sad day when another friend passes on to the Great Beyond
General | Posted 8 years agoI just got the new literal moments ago that Albert Temple (a.k.a. genecatlow) just passed away.
I know I haven't really talked much about Mr. Temple if at all on FA, but he was... is a good friend of mine. A shame that he's no longer amongst us now, but he'll always be there, in the hearts of his friends.

The Most Wonderful FA2IB Tool!
General | Posted 11 years agoSo, you may or may not know this, but I'm on both FurAffinity and InkBunny. Just recently, however, I used this tool to actually make the necessary transfer. So long as you know your passwords for both sites, you can use it to transfer your entries from FurAffinity account to your InkBunny account in a relatively short amount of time!

What In God's Name is Line Play?
General | Posted 12 years agoOkay, I've been seeing these little journals and pictures talking about "Line Play" for the last few days, and I even tried looking it up on Google to attempt to learn more about it, and yet I'm still left asking this question:
What in God's name is Line Play?
I can't quite get a sense of it from the pictures that I've seen, and I can't find any other resource to fill me in on what it is, but apparently it's got friend codes and multiple people can share in on the "fun", and I'm just... left in the dark.
So, can anyone fill me in before I go insane and damage my laptop further?

The Fateful Day
General | Posted 15 years agoMy neurosurgeon and myself have put me through an angiogram and we've come up with just what actually caused my stroke. I was afraid it was perhaps the diabetes that I gained, or maybe my cholesterol was finally out of control or something like that. The diagnosis?
Moya-moya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moyamoya_disease)
In the end, there was nothing at fault in whatever I was doing (other than just not watching my sugars). Normally, it's a blood clot or some sort of blockage in the arteries that causes the arteries to close up and thereby cause a stroke. In my instance... one day, the arteries were fine, then the next they just sealed up from the inside. With no further provocation. At least I know it's not my doing, but this means I only have one suitable recourse for this.
As of tomorrow, I go into brain surgery. It's a big, long term for the operation that basically boils down to "I'm going to get a brain bypass". My neurosurgeon is going to take the subdermal arteries of my scalp and sew them into where the carotid arteries no longer feed blood into. When this is done, this will fix my problems. I should no longer have strokes, as my other vessels will relax finally, and a fresh flow of blood to my brain means my language centers should improve. However, I'm still a little nervous, despite having all the confidence in my neurosurgeon.
He's still cutting my head open.
Wish me the best of luck. I'll see you all in a few days, most likely.

Most of You Are Aware
General | Posted 15 years agoAt least, I think most of you are, by now, but this will catch, then, anyone else who gives a damn and/or is watching my FA page. About a month or so ago, I took a trip out to Colorado to visit some friends. These friends are essentially the people that I plan on moving in with eventually. For the most part, it was a good visit, but it got a little strange for me at the end when I felt ill and confused, and I couldn't figure out why.
I returned to Florida with diabetes and a stroke.
I don't know why it is that I waited this long to give this update. I guess I felt at first that I covered all my bases when I returned from instant messages and chats online, but now I just need to make sure everyone else has the message. It's likely that most of you, given that you don't know me from Adam, probably don't give too much of a damn about my personal issues, but... eh. I've said my piece.
The diabetes, of course, will be a continual and on-going issue, but the part that I'm most concerned about, of course, is the strokes. Well, are; as it turns out, I've apparently have signs that I had several strokes in the past, but they were all minor and I never felt them... except I guess for this past one. We just need to find the cause and make sure I don't have them again.
With that aside, I guess I can say that I'm still alright. It's just taking some time to recover.

This Will Likely End in Fire
General | Posted 19 years agoHooray, bandwagon! :B
Alright, so, because I've already seen a million of them, and I hardly participate in anything online lately, I thought I'd give this a whirl. Apparently, this is some sort of "truth or dare" thing (which I normally hate). Go ahead and ask me three questions. If you get to two, proceed directly to three. If you reach four, you've gone too far. Five is right out.
Well, okay, maybe I won't be that stringent.
In either case, I promise to answer these questions as truthfully as I possibly can (disclaimer: depending on the nature of the question, I may not be able to offer a perfectly honest answer). That's the "truth" half of the equation. To solve for "dare", repeat this on your own journal afterwards.
And now, to brace myself for impact. >.>
