Much Needed Update
Posted 5 years agoHello, everyone.
I'm aware I've been basically inactive for a while here, and I was truthfully barely active even on Twitter where I do most of things now.
My health in may ways was not the greatest for a long while now, becoming increasingly worse over time. I stopped speaking too frequently about it because I felt annoying.
Recently, after going from doctor to doctor for a long time, I finally found one that listened and cared. I was literally booked for surgery 2 weeks after my first appointment. That surgery was not even a full two weeks ago. I've had a rougher-than-average recovery so far due to my fragility, but should be experiencing a reduction in symptoms. I unfortunately found out I have a rare form of what I do have, which leaves treating the entire physical aspect of the issue impossible, but with proper treatment knowing my condition I should hopefully be able to avoid surgery for quite some time, if not overall.
I am going to be slowly getting back into things. What I have worked on I will be catching up and uploading here. I have one commission left in my queue currently, and may start taking limited work for a bit again after that is complete. Ideally, I'd like to start doing in-stream commissions when I have the stamina for it again, since that will not build up a backlog that my health can get in the way of sometimes.
I hope you have all been doing well in my absence... as well as these crazy times can support, at least.
Best wishes,
Tesky

Wing-it Commissions~
Posted 6 years agoHey fam, I know I'm not as diligent here about things since I focus more on Twitter, especially not when I do smaller commission openings, but I can take an okay size batch this time since I've done a lot of work to catch up.
Information is here: https://twitter.com/TeskyArt/status.....18649295548416
You can note me here or on telegram (@ Teskine) to order if you don't have Twitter. FA will be the slowest option, so I do prefer the others.

Change [IMPORTANT UPDATE]
Posted 6 years agoHey fam! I've got an important announcement to make about the future of my art and commissions.
In a nutshell, I have grown increasingly unhappy with my work and content, which has caused a stagnation in my workspeed and growth as an artist overall. This has been unfair to everyone, so I'm making changes.
First, I will be moving to a more enjoyable style for me to draw in. I got shoehorned into semi-realistic style rather early on since that's what people seemed to want, but my interest in anthropomorphic artwork always stemmed heavily from JRPGs, anime, etc. I already employ a fair deal of anime-like elements into my work, so it's probably no surprise. I will be gravitating more towards the kemono style of anthropomorphic artwork in the future as it's just something I truly enjoy and have fun working on. This means better productivity.
Second, I will no longer be taking NSFW or explicitly fetish material commissions. Let me clarify that I am in no way against NSFW/fetish content, I just need to do things like this 100% on my own terms from now on. I'm demisexual, borderlining asexual, so it was just tough for me and really added up over time. I'm admittedly not capable of it. I started taking content of such caliber on as a means to “pay the bills” quite literally, but it became more prevalent and it made me uncomfortable and miserable and I was just too afraid to lose income to stand up for myself. This isn't anyone's fault, it's just how things happened. It's also why I became so unbearably sloooooow. I am super aware how slow I got over the years. So I will no longer be offering such content via commissions. Any NSFW content I create will be solely because I felt like it, most likely pinups and artistic nude stuff cause I just really appreciate anatomy and stuff in general.
Commissions I accepted before this will be unaffected and I've been hard at work getting them finished off, so no worries there, either! (I'm hoping most will be clear by the end of January!)
I thank you all for your support over the years, and hope for your continued support in my future endeavors as an artist. I'm so glad I've finally come to a point where I'm confident enough I can follow a path like this as an artist and I hope to see many of you in the future as always. <3

Bongo Cats, Anyone?
Posted 7 years ago
I absolutely forgot to open for bongo cat icons here. x____x
I've been doing sets of bongo cat icons for $20 each.
They include an animated icon and a static PNG icon.
The animated icon has choice of bongos or no bongos.
The static is a slap down with action lines.
There's a chain of like 30 examples or so here: https://twitter.com/TeskyArt/status.....11883312001024
If you'd like to order a set, please note me here with reference and paypal email to send a payment request to.
I do not check FA as often so if you would prefer things expedited, contact me TeskyArt on Twitter or Teskine on Telegram.

[UPDATE] SO MUCH NEW STUFF! +Discord!?!?!
Posted 7 years agoHeya, folks!
So, I've been away for a bit if ya didn't notice!
I had a summer job that kept me away without net and within days of getting home, my GPU died. x'D
Thanks to the marvels of FINANCING (woo) I was able to buy a shiny new rig that's nice and powerful yaaaay!
I'm settling in and getting everything set up so I should be (barring my bad luck doesn't kick me again omg) back to the regular swing of things soon. c:
On top of this I created a discord server recently!
I wanted to do one for some patreon stuff, but realized it'd be way cooler to just have a fun group and have patreon stuff nestled in a private spot.
SOOOOO if you'd like to join that, feel free! It's got some basic common topics already and there's always room for expansion. <3
It's still small, but hopefully it'll grow over time and be a neat little hangout.

Hey, fam.
I'm opening for a small handful of wing-it commissions to cover the cost of my glasses. 1-2 mo. turnaround since I have a summer job to handle for a bit. ;;
(Basically I will be able to work on art only 1 day a week on my day off since I'm working onsite 6 days a week until mid-August, so I'll be slow til I get back.)
Plain - $30
Color - $40
Shaded - $50
Under these circumstances I will budge and be willing to take NSFW work for an additional $10 charge.
Prices per character, maximum 2 characters this round. Standard practice of additional fees for complex markings, taurs, detailed props, etc.
Payments in Paypal.
Color and Shaded examples: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/.....lored-Sketches
Plain examples: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/.....38997/Sketches
Keep in mind wing-its are done based on references and a short guideline.
Please note me if you'd like to order something.
If you just want to help out and chip in a little, I have a ko-fi that can accept donations: https://ko-fi.com/teskine
Back!
Posted 7 years ago
Okay I'm moved alllll the way across the country now and mostly settled in.
Plus the new HDD and fresh install for my rig will carry me for a bit, too!
I'm working on catching up, but it is slightly slow since I lost my chair in moving and am using one that hurts my back a lot still. x'D
Most of my money went towards moving and affording bills in the interim, so I'm kinda strapped for cash and can't buy a nice one immediately.
But I'm doin' it!
Thank you to all my commissioners for being so patient with me during these times. <333
Please feel free to ask me if you have questions on progress or anything you can't seem to find in my queue.
I have received many requests on when I will be open for work again, I am not 100% sure but towards the end of May is likely for some.
*scuttles off to do the stuff*

Big Month, Big Announcements
Posted 7 years agoAlright. So. March is coming fast upon us.
I need to make some rather large announcements/updates for this upcoming month.
First off, I will be moving all the way across the united states, from SoCal to upstate New York, toward the end of March.
I am busy with packing along with catching up on commissions work.
It's a lot to do, especially with my current health issues.
Which is something I need to address, as I've put it off a long time now, since December.
A large reason why I am moving is because I need to have someone to take care of myself and my dog while I undergo whatever surgery (or surgeries) I will inevitably need.
My relocation will be to my mother's home and I'll be there until I'm fixed up and back on my feet.
In December, I found out I have a tumor growing in my spine in the T7 column or whatever and whatnot.
On top of some other stuff going on, I haven't been very well physically, and this is why my art has slowed.
I am in a lot of pain daily and if I spend too long drawing it causes things to hurt more.
I'm eagerly looking forward to resolving all the issues going on so I can be fully functional again, or at least as fully functional as I can be after such things. I'm not sure yet.
This will be a very big month for me, and very busy, and I am doing my best to move forward.
I appreciate all your support despite how quiet I tend to be nowadays. You're awesome people.
Texas Furry Fiesta! I will be there. :u
Posted 7 years agoI'm not gonna do a meme cause eh lol.
Anyhow, I'll be at Texas Furry Fiesta later this week!
I am hoping to be in the artist's alley a couple days and whatnot, and eat many tasty foods with my friends~!

Well, That's It.
Posted 7 years agoThere's probably no way to fix my tower.
We got it working, but it's remained virtually impossible to make a clone or image, and it won't accept new harddrives to do a fresh install, not even the same model.
It's just old, I think.
I'm going to try to get as much as I can get done with what life it has left.
My files are backed up, at least.
I'm going to start setting aside a bunch of stuff to sell.
I guess that's always the benefit of collectibles... if you find yourself in a pickle, you can sell them.
After this tower dies, I can fall back on my old laptop for a bit, but it's not capable of much and is ~10 years old so...
This wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't moving across the country in a couple months.
Or. Idk. I'd be able to afford something sooner.
Just. Shit. Lol.
Digital Art Hiccup + TFF PRE-ORDERS! :U
Posted 7 years ago
First off, I had a hiccup in that my harddrive decided it wanted to die so hahaha.
I'm working on getting stuff set up again. I thankfully saved all my files so it's okay.
MORE IMPORTANTLY I forgot to mention here I'm open for badge pre-orders for TFF.
I am not sure if I will get a table in the AA through the lottery, so this is the only guarantee at a badge.
I also usually don't take many badge commissions at the convention.
I have a few pre-orders already, so I will only take a few more to not overload myself.
These badges are all traditionally created artworks, not digital.
Prices and styles are here:

Please drop me a note or message me on telegram (@Teskine) to set up an order!
New Year, New Artist???
Posted 7 years agoEveryone does "New Year, New Me" but this is art specific so... it works this way, right? xD
So, there are a few changes I am making to how I do things as an artist this year as part of my resolutions.
1. Stop being a pushover about asking for more for complex characters/outfits/props.
This is going to be a huge focus for me this year. I have a bad habit of "what if they don't want to commission me if I charge for the extra work their character requires?" and it really messes up how much I make from art, sometimes reducing me below minimum wages. This isn't the fault of commissioners, but of myself, and I need to improve upon it. I need to start looking at references and THEN quoting the price, and making sure to state that all prices are subject to additional fees if characters or outfits are complex.
2. Raise prices to have a better wage.
I currently don't make enough to survive where I'm at, and I am a huge mooch on bills because of it. I don't like that. I have to get food stamps, too. I'm still not very well health-wise, so my time for art is limited by stamina very greatly. Many of my simpler art options increased greatly in quality over the years, but I've been very slow and cautious to raise the prices to reflect that and I'm suffering due to it. So I'm raising some prices a little bit for the start of the year, and depending on how things go, hopefully raising them to a goal price midway through the year.
3. Start doing conventions again, try to market myself more?
This is a kind of ambiguous thing for me, but I think if this is going to be my income again, I need to start branching out more and going to conventions and such again. I am hoping to deal at TFF in the artist alley this upcoming February, and hope to add one or two more conventions to my schedule if possible. Possibly DenFur and MFF, I think. I'll figure it out. I guess I should try to get an ad or something, too. Idk. I'll figure it all out. I gotta try to be more serious about things.
Overall, I'm also doing the standard of trying to draw more often, stream more, etc. It's not concrete for me for that due to health issues, though. But I will try to do what I can within my limitations. n_n
With that all, I hope you all had a nice holiday season, and wish you a joyous, prosperous, and healthy new year.
Hang in there, fam.

[!] Important Update [!]
Posted 8 years ago
I'm slowly trying to get this update out, little by little, on main platform stuff.
Monday, I received very bad news while at a followup at the doctor after some MRIs.
It was a complete surprise to me, and I've been working on going forward with the next steps.
Telling my friends and family has been tough, actually more so for me than the actual situation.
I still need to get some more tests done, but I am in a position that no matter what, I'll likely have to go under the knife.
I'm going to have to move across the country sometime this upcoming year, in order for things to work out.
Life has just suddenly become very complicated and stressful for me. There is a lot to process.
My car ended up needing tons of work Sunday, too, so I'm just... spent.
I've been taking this week easy to get my bearings and do a lot of the footwork it takes for survival in the future.
So I have not been doing my work, I know. I even still am behind on posting here, too.
Please don't ask further as to details of what is going on, as I'm still processing things and need a degree of privacy for such.
It actually is more stressing to me for people to worry about me than for something to be direly wrong with me. x_x;;;
I will be getting back to work soon, but may be slow for a while, so thank you for patience and understanding.
Hope you all will have happy holidays or lack thereof in this month.
Have good times, I guess.
Life is short, so make the best of it.

Fastest responses will be on Twitter and Telegram, which are listed on the google doc. I'll check in a few times a day here, but highly suggest either of those platforms first if you have them to contact me. nwn

Holidays, A Free Raffle, and More~
Posted 8 years agoOkay, folks.
I know I'm not too horribly active here anymore, and for that I apologize.
I am most active on Twitter now, as that's where most of my business is and it's a much easier platform for me to use.
Here is a link to my Twitter for those who do the Twitter thing!
Speaking of that, I am holding a free raffle there until the end of the month to celebrate reaching 1k follows. It's my pinned tweet!
Elsewise, I'm about to have a very busy week due to the holidays, and will remain pretty busy on and off until year's end.
Life is very stressful as-is as I still have an injury making stuff heckie, but I'm still trying my best.
I am best reached on Twitter during this time as it updates to my phone. I also have telegram, which is second most reliable.
If you have urgent inquiries, those are the best places to hmu.
I am not abandoning FA and still check in every couple days, I just don't have the time to super update as I used to.
I will try to update here when things calm down a bit. There is quite a bit of artwork I need to post up still. x.x;
Things are just crazy.
Hope you all have safe and wonderful holidays this year. <3

Going Back To Fulltime Artistry
Posted 8 years ago
So I put my two weeks in after that whole threat of firing me bullshit.
Which was clearly just a huge bluff that backfired on them majorly.
They assumed that they could bully me into working on days I told them I had to have off.
Part of what REALLY pushed me to do it was that the head butcher basically yelled at me and hung up on me when I tried to say I needed the days off.
He's had a HUGE bias against me since I was forced to take medical leave for a couple weeks and been very aggressive towards me with such.
Even if I'd stayed with the job, which I could have done so legally cause I have tons of tricks up my sleeve, I wasn't willing to deal with the environment.
I'm not even going to get into how the job had started effecting me mental health wise cause it's triggery for lots of people, but it really sucked lemme say that.
Then I just kinda quit after a week into my 2 weeks cause it wasn't worth the way they scheduled me due to the long commute and short shifts.
Which, again, was the head butcher's bias against me at work. C:
While I was trying to apply for more jobs, nobody will hire me since I'm still injured. n_n;;;
And workman's comp is... a piece of shit.
Like they drag their ass and stall and it's getting on my nerves.
So I'm stuck relying on art for my income again.
I have some stuff to attend to up until the 5th, at which point I'll start working on my backlog.
I'll likely do a rotation of old and new work so I can have small income til I'm caught up. x.x;
I guess look forward to regular commissions and streams and stuff starting next month or so!
uwu;
Commission Update Via Life Update
Posted 8 years agoOkay gonna be real quick here, but to all waiting on commissions, I'm having some issues with work so I've been slow as heck lately.
Today I was just informed I'm basically going to be fired soon after months of bias against me due to a workplace injury.
So I'm applying to new jobs and stuff in order to just put my two weeks in and confront them about their treatment towards me.
It's really stressful, especially since I do still have to go there to work, so I haven't been in the right mood to do well on commissions or focus really.
I deeply apologize for this slowdown. I know it's nothing new with me, and most people know this is part of commissioning me, but I'm always sorry.
I'm very grateful to have so many understanding people who like my artwork and I am always happy to update and communicate to you how things are going.
Please don't hesitate if you need to ask about where I am working at in queue or with your art.
Thank you very much for understanding.

BLFC Pick-Up Badges
Posted 8 years agoHey heads up I'll be at BLFC and I can offer just a couple badge commissions for at-con pickup.
Pricing and examples are here in this tweet: https://twitter.com/TeskyArt/status.....71573492604928
If you don't have twitter you can note me here to order one.
I am NOT taking mail-out badges at this time due to issues with the post losing so many badges last time. Only at-con delivery is available.

HOKAI!
Posted 8 years agoWow long time no speak, eh!
So first off, my apologies, work was kicking my arse.
Not just due to hours, but I was working despite a back injury I got in Feb and welp I screwed the pooch on that.
ANYHOW MANY DOCTORS LATER AND BLAH BLAH BLAH
I'm going to be out of work for a while, so during this time I'm going to have to rely on art as an income again.
This means, yes, I'm going to be slapping my backlog around while I do this. (HUZZAH!)
So uhm yes I made a telegram channel for commission openings and updates and stuff,
https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAEJkqvS-YEh04mHumw
I'm very random in whether I post to Twitter or FA or what so this'll be an easy way to not miss stuff!
I'll also post up if I'm doing any freebie offers, streams, raffles, etc!
Thanks for bearing with me through that awkward quiet stint, I'm just not very... vocal? About my issues nowadays haha. Idk.

Fourty-eight.
Posted 8 years agoNo no this isn't about that lame tv show shhhh.
I just got my next week's schedule.
Despite being asked originally how many hours I wanted, and agreeing to 30 per week...
Well, they really like the work I do, and so I've noticed immediately my hours started going up each week...
It went up to 37...then 40...now as I suspected, 48 hours a week.
This is, yes, six days a week.
So honestly, if you would like a refund and I haven't started on your commission, please ask me!
I have VERY little time for art now, and my personal projects are all being bumped back.
I'd ask for a cut in hours, but at this point I currently need to work all I can so that I can pay for a root canal on my infected tooth. T_T;
Super sorry I am not around so much due to work nowadays. :<
Just something I gotta focus on for a bit.
