The F. Art Manifesto II
General | Posted 10 years agoThe F. Art Manifesto II
F. Art is art that ‘looks good’ and ‘supports an illusion’.
F. Art ‘makes a point’ about the other ‘art’ in this show.
F. Art creates an ‘art-viewing experience’ for the discerning ‘patron’.
F. Art may be upsetting or unpleasant. It may cause ‘joy’, or aid in ‘escapism’. All are normal reactions. It is even normal to feel conflicting reactions at once.
F. Art is Furry Art without the ‘urry.
F. Art is art begging to be ‘judged’. If you do not ‘judge’ ‘art’ it disappears, an ephemeral ‘soap bubble’ amongst the froth of sensory impressions that ‘fill’ our heads.
F. Art knows that you worry that if you ‘judge’ art, you’ll be ‘judged’ too. Worry not! It is normal to ‘find art lacking’.
F. Art teaches that if you do not ask more of your ‘art’ then you will get the ‘art’ you deserve.
F. Art is, above all, about having a ‘good time’ and letting ‘loose’ with F. Art whenever the pressure inside builds to a dangerous level.

chakatbot
General | Posted 11 years agoI've made a twitter bot named @chakatbot. It monitors the Weasyl front page for any chakat- or taur-related artwork, and tweets the image and a link to the submission.
Please see my post on Weasyl for more information!
Thanks to Weasyl's excellent API, if only every art portal had one ;)

Updated Weasyl account!
General | Posted 11 years agoHello there! I made a weasyl account earlier this year. I've finally gotten around to syncing it with this gallery. By the end of the day everything that's cool here should be over there too.
I'll try hard to keep both updated!

F. Art Manifesto
General | Posted 11 years agoThis is the manifesto I will be posting at my display in the Anthrocon Art Show this weekend.
The F not only stands for furry, but also for Fine (Art), Foolish (Art), Fabulous (Art) ...
The F. Art Manifesto
F. Art is for those bored with Aesthetics; tired of Beauty, of Sensuality; repelled by the mindless reproduction of Stylistic Quirks (by hand); celebratory of the death of Art and the birth of Critica, goddess of observation and wielder of the scales of judgement.
F. Art is for those who would drop the pretense that they appreciate novelty.
F. Art is for the Idea at the expense of the Craft
. The disrespect of Care and the care of Disrespect.
F. Art is what I call Furry Art in which the Furry has been deceitfully minimized. Deceitfully I say, because it's still there, influencing the object. F. Art is within you if nothing else.
F. Art is above all for those who appreciate Taste.
