I only have one pending commission in my queue, which I plan to get finished very soon, so I figured I would open for some commission slots soon! I really really didn't want to have to take more commissions until I got more through my queue, but bills have been eating all my money and I barely have enough for rent rn, and so many other bills have fallen behind. Luckily, my income tax is on the way so I'll be able to catch up then, but I still need to buy gas and food for my pets in the meantime.

I need about $40 to cover gas and pet food.
$20 for gas and $20 for pet food ($11 for my dogs food and about $8 for my cats food)

I know I have taken a long time to get your commissions done. I think about it daily, and I constantly feel guilty about it. I am not here to give you a string of excuses, but I am here to explain why it has taken so long, and what the plan is moving forward.

I have have no energy and no motivation to draw. That's the long and short of it, really. Between my full time job, as well as taking care of my disabled boyfriend, I just don't have the energy. Whenever I do have the energy, I either have way too much other shit that I've been putting off, like dishes or laundry, or to motivation or inspiration to draw. I do not want to give you all half ass slapped together work. But its come to the point where its becoming a problem.

I do not know when I'll get out of this slump, and I don't expect you to wait around forever. I would like to finish these commissions, but I also kind of don't? Not because I don't want to draw for you guys but more that I hate having that guilt eating at me and I hate making you all wait. So, I have been heavily debating this. I don't have a lot of money to spare, in fact that's a big reason as to why I'm in this mess in the first place. I took on more commissions than I could handle because I'm struggling to make ends meet every week. However, I may be able to spare a refund once or twice a month, at least until I get my tax return back.

So, if you are a commissioner of mine and you would like to be put on my refund queue, please let me know. Do know it will not be immediate, but if you'd rather wait a bit for a refund than the art, I totally understand.

After all these commissions are either refunded or completed, I think I'm going to be taking a break from commission work for a while, too.

Sorry for the delays guys. I've recently fallen ill (don't think its anything super serious and hope it doesn't continue to get worse) and its zapped all my energy. Two nights ago I slept for literally like 13 hours and will likely go to bed super early today.

Hey, everyone. I want to actively apologize for how slow my commissions have been taking as of late. Work and life in general have been kicking my ass and I'm having a hard time staying motivated to draw. I'm attempting to draw today, even starting with some smaller commissions to try to get in to the groove, but I'm still struggling a bit.

I really don't want to post mediocre art just for the sake of getting it out faster, and I think that's a part of why I'm struggling to even just work on anything because I know I'm not at my best. But its a bit of a catch-22 because if I don't work a) it won't get done and b) I'll never find my groove.

This past week at work has been particularly exhausting. I have a co-worker who has been starting to become extremely grating, passive aggressive, and petty, on top of the fact that I was literally harassed by a customer I had to talk to that left me shaking and teary for a good few hours, and I'm still not entirely over it.

I'm really trying to push through all of this, but know that my mental health has not been great as of late. I promise I'm working, albeit a bit slower than usual. I am really hitting a wall when it comes to commission work.
I am now working full time, which means a full 8 hour day, five days a week. I get up at 6am on those days to be there at 7am and work until 4pm. My off days are now Sundays and Mondays. This means that my personal time is very limited. I need time to cook, eat, keep my house clean, do my laundry, take care of any errands, and just have some personal time for myself to relax and be ready for the next day.
As you can imagine, this leaves very little time to really focus on commission work, and I'll be honest with you, it's become really hard to want to draw. Just the desire to pick up my tablet and do the one thing that used to make me so happy, and it honestly just gives me anxiety and stress. I don't want to keep you guys waiting, especially those of you who have helped me tremendously over these past few months. I owe so much to you guys.
So I wanted to apologize to all my commissions for the slow output of art. I know you've all been waiting for quite some time, and I'm sorry its still taking me a while to put anything out. But I'm also having a hard time liking anything that I'm drawing, and I definitely don't want to give anyone a subpar commission just to be done with it.
I hope you all can understand, however if you'd like a refund please let me know. It might take me some time to actually refund it (no longer than a week or so, unless its a bigger commission or I have too many wanting refunds at once).

I will also offer a change in commission type for not added charge (within reason). Anything with lineart I want to steer away from because the meticulous and precise nature is really where I'm struggling the most. But if you want to change your commission to a colored sketch, (with or without shading/background/etc depending on price of initial commission) then I'd probably be able to get that kind of stuff done much quicker, since sketches are easier for me to digest and tend to have more fun with them.
The one exception to this would be the collab piece, since that is with someone else, so it wouldn't make sense lol

Anyway, I just thought I'd be transparent with you all. I'm really trying to knock all this stuff out, but my creativity, energy, inspiration, muse, and motivation is just seriously lacking right now and I apologize. And usually the easiest way to break me out of that is to do a personal drawing, but I feel so guilty nor do I have the inspiration or motivation to even draw for myself. Anyway. Please don't hesitate to note me if you have questions, concerns, or wish to request a refund or change in commission type!

So we got some of our essentials moved into our new place. It will take another day or two to get everything fully moved, but the good news is that we're capable of living in our space!
Our internet isn't set up yet, but is supposed to be set up in the next few days. Right now we're using the internet at the Firehouse Subs literally right next to us, so we still have some internet connectivity, so there won't be a lull in commissions!

Today I'll be doing more moving, but I have to wait for my friend to get off work. So I'll probably be doing a bit of commission work before and after all of that!

So we were looking at apartments so we could put a hold on one for when we were ready to move in September. However one of the ones we stumbled on had free rent for the month of August and was one of the cheapest we were looking at. We're getting a small loan from my boyfriend's aunt to help pay the deposit and such, but we move in tomorrow!

I am so excited, guys. I'm FINALLY going to have my own living space again. No more children giving me hell when I'm trying to do stuff, no more kids rummaging through my shit when I'm not home. No more kids waking me up at the ass crack of dawn. No more passive aggressiveness in my face. No more trying to be small and as out of the way as possible. I'll get to decorate as I please, stretch my legs, and LIVE again.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get a car until later in the month, so I'm having to bum rides, but I have a couple people willing to help me out until then.
