Alright so after SO MUCH ENDLESS SEARCHING, we found an affordable place without staying with anyone creepy.
We also have a few people interested in buying the RV which is nice, so. That's looking up too.
But yeah! We move in tomorrow, so I'll be busy doing that most of the day. I plan to do some commission work tonight to make up for it.
I don't have enough for bills coming up but. At this point I'll just pay a late fee. I'm just glad that we have a place.
We only really have enough to get there and pay for the first month, so I'm going to be hitting commissions really hard to help save for bills and rent for the next month. I also have to save for the second half of the pet deposit since the other people are paying half of it for us to help out.
I'm also going to be applying for some jobs- my cousin suggested a few places so that's definitely the start.

I was a bit hesitant to give the full extent of this story due to the potentially dangerous position my boyfriend and I were in.
As a lot of you may know, I travelled for three days to move to Georgia to live in what was supposed to be a small community led with love and communication at the forefront. We were very excited about this, as it is something we always dreamed of, and from all the communication we had before the move, we were very optimistic about it.
We had a few minor complications upon arrival, but the first few days were quite pleasant. They seemed super friendly, we met some of their friends, and were starting to get used to life out there.
Unfortunately, very suddenly, it seemed as if a switch got flipped in the guy who "led" things. The once bubbly, understanding and helpful man was now controlling, angry, and unwilling to compromise. We felt very on edge all the time, as if they were expecting us to suddenly know exactly what to do and how to do it when we were never given an extensive tour or any instructions or even what a basic chore list would be. He was quite passive aggressive and put our dogs health and well-being in a compromising position, and would not budge on that because he was more concerned with the tiny garlic garden he had planted.
He threw fits, got angry and always told stories of violence. We very quickly no longer felt safe- and one of the scariest parts was that we were somewhere where there was no phone reception, so if shit turned that way, we couldn't even call the cops if we needed to.
I finally broke down after a particularly rough evening and she got us a hotel to stay for the night until we could drive to my cousin's about two hours away to stay for a couple days until I could drive up to my sister's. So we packed up all our shit in the matter of an hour and left.
We made it to my cousin's, but not without its hiccups. The first hill out of that community was so steep that my breaks couldn't handle it, causing me to lose control of the vehicle for a moment, and I literally thought we were going to die. Luckily we made it out with only a little damage to the front end of the RV. I haven't been able to investigate much further because the metal has bent in a way that I can't open the hatch. I'll probably be prying it open later.
The RV is not in great shape, but we're going to try to drive it up to my sister's anyway and hopefully find a way to get rid of it without effecting me financially too much. I don't have high hopes about it though.
I don't know what I'm going to do once I'm at my sister's. We'll only be allowed to stay for two weeks, so I don't know what I'm going to do after that. She said we'd talk about it once we're there but I'm so terrified. My mother wants me to move back in with her, but she won't allow my boyfriend to come with me for whatever reason, which would force him to go back and live with his mother, who can't even afford to support herself, her daughter, her boyfriend, and their three children. They have been struggling to pay bills for months, so adding another person to the mix wouldn't help, even if he COULD find a job. He wouldn't have his own space, and we'd be separated. It would just be a bad place for us both to be, mentally and emotionally.
Two weeks isn't long enough for me to get a job and get enough pay checks to save for even a super cheap apartment. I don't know what I'm going to do. My cat isn't even going to be allowed out of his crate at all because of allergies that other family members have. Like, at that point, I'd rather get rid of him than put him through that torture for two weeks.

I don't know what to do. I don't know what can be done. I don't have like. Any options left. I could go live with my mom and deal with the absolute misery of being away from my partner of three years for god knows how long until I can save to get us together again. Or we can go back to Iowa and live in that shithole with his mother and find a job and be forced to pay out the ass to help support them while also trying to save for our own place, which will take at least twice as long.

I just. Really felt like I needed to explain this situation for you guys. I'm going through so fucking much right now, crying literally every day and I'm just so exhausted, mentally, emotionally, and physically that I can't eat or sleep.

I'm looking to get some new kids and maybe some art SOOOO I thought I'd toss some designs I'm not using up for trade.

I've never really done pay what you want style commissions but they seem fairly popular.
I was wondering if you guys would be into that?

If you don't know how it works, its basically you name your price and tell me what you want, and I draw according to the price paid.
So, like, for instance, you wanted to pay $10, and wanted your character lounging with some tea, I'd probably do a clean sketch or a chibi or something like that.
These can clearly be discussed-- I'm not entirely sure how it works, so I'm kind of just winging it xD

So. I've run into a really really rough spot.

I have been living in a shitty apartment complex for two years now. It has been a miserable experience and our roommates dropped the bomb that they were moving out at the end of the year very suddenly a couple months back. It ended up prompting us to look into options and settled on a cheap 1978 RV. She runs great but needed a lot of interior work and leak sealing, so we've been dumping a lot of money into getting her livable, but overall, we're ecstatic.

But with the added cost of paying back the loan and RV insurance until we pay it off on top of all our other bills, we've been barely capable of keeping our heads above water. Things have been really crazy, from the apartment building catching fire again, and now the water heater in the building is broken, so we have no hot water unless we boil it, and its overall just rough right now.

We haven't been able to figure out the generator yet and until then, we don't have any heat for the fast approaching winter. Not to mention a lack of a fridge and other amenities, though luckily the place we'll be staying at least for a while will be close enough to a grocery store.

But right now, I'm $30 short for bills and my food stamps don't come in until the 10th. This doesn't even include the supplies we need to continue working on finishing all the work that needs done, like getting the rest of the wall panels put on or finishing the last bit of the floor. In addition, I've been having a tooth causing me a lot of pain for the last couple weeks and I can't afford to even have something done about it.

My ultimate goal is $300 in two weeks. Its pretty steep, but it will allow us to get everything we need at least until my next check.

If my YCH stays at $30, and this one other commission goes through, that's already a $40ish start so. Not impossible.. right??
