I'll be leaving up gifts and commissions however, and everything you don't see in my main gallery will be moved to scraps for a while. If you ever wanted to save something that you previously haven't? Go ahead and get on that now before I purge the stuff I really don't want to look at anymore.

Posted 14 years agoI've got too much going on in my life right now to keep up with this stuff. Guess this is notice of the hiatus I've been on since about January on this site. Sorry for the lack of notice.
If I owe you a commission, I'm terribly sorry for not being around to contact you, or for potentially misplacing your information since my re-location last year. Please feel free to ask me for a refund at this point. I can provide them, and won't be taking any commissions for quite a while in the future as far as the furry fandom goes. If you can't get a refund, we can talk about it. I'll try to accomplish everything timely. I just can't commit myself to things when there's such a mess mucking up my life, and I'm so busy with other things. Again, thank you for being patient AND persistent. I don't mean to give anyone the run around, it's just been way too easy for me to get caught up in stuff lately, and I don't want to make any promises I might fail to keep. I feel awful when I do.
But yeah, not much art, personal or commission-wise, will be going up here for a while.
Lots of family and health stuff coming up. Work stuff too. It'll all end well, so no worries. It's just a towering mass of DEAL WITH IT that I need to be doing right now.

The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love an icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV"). The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) can get in touch with you. Your home address is not required!
- Make sure you post some version of these guidelines with your journal so that the holiday joy will spread.

Sick and Gifts
Posted 15 years agoSo hey, some of you might have already gotten a Holiday Gift from me on STEAM. If so, I love you and I hope you enjoy~! If not, I might be hunting through wishlists playing not-so-secret-santa in the weeks to come.
I've been kinda-sorta super sick with a killer sinus infection for over a week now, and barely had any time off work to nurse it away. Finally on some really hardcore antibiotics after I went to work WHILE COUGHING UP BLOOD. Thankfully someone finally covered for me, I was able to get to the doctor, and took a day and a half off to sleep and take meds. Been playing lots of feel-better vidya with
greenhatmatt on our crazy new PS3 and Laptop setup. He has over 23,000 games on one hard drive. It's kinda intense like that. Also My PSN name is Red-Medic and his is POOPFIST_COMMAND so you should add us and send us dumb messages.
Also it is that time of year. I want to send out cards and such along with some way overdue commissions I've still got to mail. Thanks to the few of you who are still being patient with me. Thankfully the numbers are very very few, but it still doesn't make it less crappo that I've taken a long while with your work. Look for it very soon, sent in little holiday care packages before the new year!
I'd love to exchange cards with you, furfriends, or COMMISSION YOU for something little. I have a small holiday budget, so I'm actually going to treat myself a tad this year <3 Lemme know if you are going to offer any yulestime commissions. I may very well snag one.

Today one even asked me ABOUT MY BOYFRIEND'S. Goddamnit just take this stupid thing from me so YOU can get all the weirdies sending you GIBBE MEDDLE PLOX steam messages.

Home From Furfright ...Photos?

It was SUPER AWESOME to see all of my favorite bros and to party with you all and meet a few new friends! <333 AHHH. WORK WORK WORK
Posted 15 years agoUgh, finally getting back on a schedule, finally coming out of an unpredictable bit of touch and go. WORKING SO MUCH now and it feels good again. I'm glad. I hate when art becomes a chore, or when I'm much too muddled to focus on things. The results are never good. I'm back to sketching and polished owed work for all y'all fab bros, and pinups portfolio pieces I've owed to myself.
I have a ~~Second Interview~~ today which i hope will lead me to a steady job. I've realized I need some semblance of routine order in my life that is slightly beyond my control. When left to my own devices entirely, I overwhelm myself. Having to work around pre-determined guidelines actually makes me more productive, I'm kinda glad I've had the chance to try out a freelance lifestyle without too much pressure, because now I know I'd never want to gun for it completely. I love to freelance, but not as a ~~full time job~~. It's too unpredictable, and can easily build up into a rather intimidating mass very quickly.
Hopefully being a teacher will strike a very good balance between working for myself and working a job with and for others. It certainly keeps a good level of motivation flowing! Until then, I'll do what I have to. You guys are awesome, too. Amidst freelance work, I always have fun with this community :> It's a big part of why I like doing what I do.

'Potential Payment When We Get Published!' is not a paycheck. The work you are soliciting for is, as of the time it is created, done pro-bono. If you want a relationship like this to succeed, the resulting product to be good and your reputation as a serious professional to become established, you need to realize that when you're asking someone to take a gamble on you, there's a certain amount of grace required. You are essentially looking for a creative partner who will stand behind your brainchild. This is difficult to come by, but can work out very well for some who make that connection and work to form a partnership on a level of mutual ownership and respect.

Can you even believe this guy? Trying to solicit someone to work on spec is a bit dubious in itself, but not -entirely- unreasonable, should one go about it with ambition and respect. When you ask someone to work for free, you are asking them to devote time and energy to -your- project. You have to be aware that you are asking someone to work for FREE. 'Potential Payment When We Get Published!' is not a paycheck. The work you are soliciting for is, as of the time it is created, done pro-bono. If you want a relationship like this to succeed, the resulting product to be good and your reputation as a serious professional to become established, you need to realize that when you're asking someone to take a gamble on you, there's a certain amount of grace required. You are essentially looking for a creative partner who will stand behind your brainchild. This is difficult to come by, but can work out very well for some who make that connection and work to form a partnership on a level of mutual ownership and respect.

Posted 15 years agoGetting commissions DONE this weekend. Ready for the grind. I'm motivated to bust my balls back to work and am coming out of that slight slump I was finding myself in, since I managed to pick up a little part time personal assistant job. :> Ugh, it's a wonder how good being active and useful makes you feel in general. The pay is really ace, but it's not all that frequent a gig. I'm now the Smithers to a drag queen. I'll be doing her makeup, designing her looks, making show posters for her, and being her designated driver to and from her club shows.
She's a pretty fab lady and we sealed the deal over drinks at lunch today. I'm hanging out with her on the clock early next week to work out some makeup styles and experiment with her looks, so that's cash in my pocket and a pretty unique job experience. Ha! Expect fashion sketches of outrageous drag makeup designs in my scraps to start showing up.
Hopefully a job I applied for today with the referral of a friend will also pan out. Then I can fall into a more consistent schedule and be all around better for it. Ahhh excited.
