Starting Music Commissions!
Posted 11 years agoOkay, this is something I've been wanting to see happen from me for a while. It will require time and dedication, which I'm hoping I can manage. So to start, I'll pitch the idea to you all...
First I'd like to introduce you to my musical alias, Melodicat. Melodicat was an artist I created to focus on the simplicity of good melodies. Something to show that music doesn't need to be complex to inspire. :3
So I welcome you to check out the bit of music I have made so far with the alias, so that you can get an idea of what my style sounds like. www.soundcloud.com/melodicat
This whole commission idea is called project "Lip Sync"
It was actually an idea for a careers project I had at school, but people were disappointed when they found out it was just made up, but now I'm bringing it to life.
The idea was to have a melody in your mind, and make a recording of yourself presenting the melody (whether it be you humming/singing it out or playing it on an instrument of your own) I would then receive the melody that had been sent and recreate it with synthesizers using FL Studio, and adding my own instruments and builds to make it into a finished product!
You are able to pay a small amount of extra money if you wish to add more recordings of different melodies that you want to see in your song as well as your first one. You can request these extra melodies to be used on the same instrument or a different one. You can also pay another fee if you wish to increase the time on the song. (the standard is 1 minute)
The starting price is $20 for the initial artist's fee, which will get you 1:00 of playback time with one melody. If you choose the standard package, I will create other instruments and small melodies to go along with the one you had sent to me, so basically I would have nearly full artistic freedom. However you can still request weather or not you want me to do that, or, if I do, what mood you want to keep the song in so that I don't ruin the vibe you intended the melody to bring to the song.
Other prices for the additional add-ons will be discussed in full once I hear that people find this interesting and want to keep an eye on it! So LET ME KNOW what you guys think of the idea! Please! It means so much to hear feedback on a big project like this!
In the meantime, if you would like to sort of preorder a standard package, I would gladly be willing to note you about it! Just leave a comment below and I'll respond to you as soon as I get the chance!

Update Sorta!
Posted 11 years agoI've made many improvements in my art lately, although they may be small, they help me in the long run with posing, proportions, and especially anatomy! Nimbat drawings are even cuter now! How is that even possible???? Idk, but I've nearly killed myself with cuteness overload drawing the little things >w<
Anyways, while I have been grounded from the internet I have made and finished many pieces of art, both sfw and nsfw, that I plan on uploading tonight. So please, feel free to stop by and take a look later on and let me know what you think!

Hey Guy's! It's Been a While!
Posted 11 years agoHoly moly! I've been pretty quiet for a looong time! D:
So much has happened between this journal and the last with things like my family and my relationship and SCHOOL....p~o
Art has honestly been the least of my worries lately. In the spare time I get I usually end up playing video games or using FL Studio to work on songs. (I plan on releasing my first album)
I have really been looking forward to lots of things in the future, but my problem lately has been the fact that I cant work on these things very often no thanks to the stress from school. Eventually though everything will come into alignment and all will be well. I really miss being able to get creative with things, as I have lost that recently with visual arts. I cant really even draw past a fursona's head because my anatomy is just so skewed..
But like I said, some day in the future I will get these things back. Probably when I meet my girlfriend, who I haven't gotten the chance to meet yet.
So I got a lot of things to look forward to, even though they take a lot of effort as well, and I can tell you that my FA is something that you yourself can look forward to as well. :3

It's a pretty cheap price of $1.50 that'll get you a simple background and multiple characters as well! And I tend to spend quite a bit of time on them as I like to improve on my skills while working! So feel free to note me if you're interested and comment below with any questions!

So I plan to release a few song demos and things of that nature! I've got remixes that need some remixin.
Gold by Owl City and Say My Name by Destiney's Child lol
I can't wait. I'll also be teaching my friend how to use the program so he can begin hopefully producing music.
So I'm looking forward to that!
Now I realize I have artwork that needs getting done, but my family from Oregon had come to visit and we ended up spending a lot of time together. And now my new and painful semester of school just started, so I am attempting to finish these things up tomorrow. It all depends on where I'm at as far as my drawing abilities and my concentration levels go.

So!!
You know those hats I got from pawstar? No? Now you do.
Well..xD I bought those from a kiosk so nun of them where custom of course. They were stock..and grandparents are in town today.
So I ordered a custom one from the site! :D It took a while to find the right one to match him, but it's styled after my fursona keegan :3 It's white with red fleece for the inner ear and its tipped with black fur. So I'm real excited! I'll have my collar, hat, and a tail that almoast matches my fursona!
The best part was I made my sister order one and it's so cute!!

and I think it was suggested to me a while back, but I really think I should do this. I need monies to pay back Apple for them letting me buy somthing even though I had insufficient funds. Its a load of crap. But I will play by the rules this time...
NIMBAT ADOPTABLES. All these cute lil' critters will be stuffed into a machine gun and shot out maybe...two every week. I know. Its a really slow machine gun, but come on It's stuffed with animals what did you expect?
Anyways let me know your thoughts.

I ordered a cusom collar based off of my fursona through the power of the interwebz!
It's gunna be soo kewl!! :D
Here's what my order should look like..
It'll be made with white leather and a red faux fur lining on the inner side of the strap all stiched together in red. It'll have a black buckle and a centered loop and dee up front. Then, to the right of the loop, the name of my fursona, Keegan, will be spelt out onto the collar.
God I CANT WAIT GAHHHH
I'm going to wear that every single day until I get the monies to buy a casual one from petsmart xD
Lol but anyways, you guys should go check it out they make some nice looking collars and you can customize them a ton through the site's creator.

Introducing Myself (Very Long Journal! xD)
Posted 11 years ago Herro everyone! :p Now as an artist I have a lot of work to do, and especially on DA when it comes to being social and responsive xD (sorry about that)
But I am so happy to be where I'm at today, and I just realized that throughout my entire life on DA and FA (especially after people actually started following me) I had never once introduced myself. I'm just that guy with a cute icon that draws nimbats for a living. xD

So, with that said, Allow me to introduce myself.
I am Forerunner Construct from Deviantart. Some peoplez know me as That 1 Furry on FurAffinity. (ISNT IT CRAZYY???)
At the moment my real art skills include traditional drawings, and some digital things here and there. I also make music as a hobby using the program FL Studio. :3
I've always been drawing. And I always did it in class and never at home lol. However it wasn't until late 2012 when I actually started developing an art style of my own. That was when I beat the game Dust: an Elysian Tail, my favorite game of all time PERIOD. At that point, my life had literally flipped almost entirely upside down. You see..that game exposed a part of me I really didn't think I had..
When i started up the demo and saw and heard Fidget for the first time I had a strange feeling that I would question as I played the game and studied her. (not creepin)
Lol I didn't know what to think. I was afraid of what I thought. Was she hot? Thats not even possible..right? No that wasn't it. I know that feeling and it wasn't it lol xD. I couldn't understand it at all until I got the game.
She's adorable.
I MEAN SERIOUSLY THE MOST ADORABLE LITTLE THING I HAD EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.
I would smile every time I saw her, and I would squeal when I looked her up on DA. That was when i started to develop a liking to these anthromorphic characters. So after beating the game i sat down with a piece of paper and a pencil and drew my first drawing of fidget.
Later on when school started me and a friend began developing a sequel for the game. Just for fun. I happened to be in charge of all the concept art. After developing characters for the story like Keegan the Fox and my friend's character, Thread the Moonblood, I felt that we were missing something..something ADORABLE. I had then that very day gave birth to Sapphire. Lol
The next day I began concept art for another nimbat, one with more character. That was when I had drawn my first concept for my favorite character out of all my characters, Shiver the nimbat.
From that moment forth I packed a machine gun with a bunch of fluff and shot nimbat concepts out like crazy. Nimbat here. Nimbat there. Wait put more nimbats ofer dere plz. xD
I wouldn't stop drawing. I looked at fidget in game to help me understand Dean Dodrill's art style. Months fly by and my improvement was at a very steep incline. Each day I learned something new from trial and error.
My love for anthromorphic animals was carried on when I got my FurAffinity account where I had met lots of awesome people including my girlfriend. It's also the point of no return and I had completely lost my innocence xD! Soon enough I picked up on the furry culture along with some lovely newfound art techniques!
And here I am today with hats thy haz earz on em and a lil tail and soon a collar xD (ORDERING IT CUSTOM MADE TOMORROW!! :D)
Also came my art skills and a future with digital arts and hopefully some voice acting on the side!
All this would have never happened without that game. None of you would know me and I wouldn't know any of you. I probably wouldn't have a goal towards a career. No nimbats.
No inspiration. NUTHIN.
So, I very sincerely thank Dean Dodrill for this wonderful game that took me to where I am today. I'm grateful to have met all of you and to have a life I can look forward to...
Okay maybe that sounds a bit exaggerated. Im sure that even without the game I wouldn't just off myself and seize to exist lol.

It's also the point of no return and I had completely lost my innocence xD! Soon enough I picked up on the furry culture along with some lovely newfound art techniques!
And here I am today with hats thy haz earz on em and a lil tail and soon a collar xD (ORDERING IT CUSTOM MADE TOMORROW!! :D)
Also came my art skills and a future with digital arts and hopefully some voice acting on the side!
All this would have never happened without that game. None of you would know me and I wouldn't know any of you. I probably wouldn't have a goal towards a career. No nimbats.

I hope you all had enjoyed the holidays. I really had a great time, and I was lucky enough to get everything I wanted. Time with my awesome family, gta5, and a nice 3ds xl..with animal crossing...
New years was great! I hung out with my friend all night and took vines and played cards against humanity and got hit by traffic on the freeway in grand theft auto. All while passing over to 2014. Impressivvvveeee!
Anyways, as far as my journey in this fandom goes, I took a few more steps! ^w^ I went to the mall of america and visited the Pawstar kiosk they have there.
Bought myself a nice tail and two adorable little hats wiff teh ears! x3!!

Also, I cleaned out my entire page information. I feel it's all a bit outdated and I need to redo a lot of it sometime soon..so don't forget who I am lol.

So I should be sleeping right now but skwoo it I have technology and an active mind. (Kinda) So random pointless update time! Have one person on DA who "Commissioned" me. Drawing him and his gf as nimbats and anthros! Two pieces of art. All at expensive cost of $0.00! (dont get any funny ideas <_<)

Anyways, currently working on dat anatomy! Its fuggin hard! As a rock. Cant even do females anymore so I'm in some very big trouble. I get to the shoulders and no further than that. Boooooo. I want art skills for christmas plz santa. (Santa regularly checks on FA) So with that said I truly hope I get my ass together (it's fallen apart) and get some x-mas GIFT ART out on time o~o
I'll ask santa who has been naughty recently.
So i know which ones to make nsfw lolololollolol jk. its clean. I like writing random pointless journals out of my ass. (which is still fallen apart btw)
