Streaming, Commissions, thoughts for the next year?
Posted 3 years agoHi all!
So I have been thinking a lot recently about my commissions and my art and stuff and been trying to organise a proper schedule. After doing some research on places to find the best materials for good prices and so on, I've figured something I want to try.
So as of December 2022 (3 months from now) I will be implementing a new Commissions schedule. The aim of this schedule is to give people a heads-up so they know when I will be opening my commissions and when to expect their products, etc. It will also make sure I do not get overwhelmed with too many things to do every month and that know I can find the materials needed for the characters with regards to physical items such as fursuits and plush.
So what is this new schedule? Simple!
The place I get fur from only recieves stock once a year in January. As such I will only be taking fursuit commissions once a year. To start I will be taking 2 full suits, and 4 partials for 2023. If you want just a tail, or just a pair of hand paws, or feet paws or head etc. then I can do that as well, but I cannot state a specific amount of slots. For these I do ask you message me directly and talk to me about it.
For stuffed animals, I'm getting a better sense on how long they take me to make and how much detail I can get done. As I still intend to get an Embroidery Machine in the future I'm sure this will change over time, but for now I will be opening my plush commissions once every 2 months. This will take place in January for the first time and I will be opening for approximately 10 slots.
For Art commissions I still have a few art pieces I need to finish in my queue. So I intend to take the rest of this year to finish the plush and art commissions I have now to be able to start fresh next year. I do plan to open art commissions once a month next year, but if needed I will only open every 2 months. I have also got an updated Document of my prices, which I will still be adding things to and adjusting over time as needed and will be posting in December for those who want to see my prices for 2023.
On this same note, I will also be streaming my art!
I have ordered and am waiting on a high quality mic, and I have started to set up my stream overlay and other stuff. I intend to start streaming in the near future. For the time being my streams will be mostly just art as I try to get through the commissions I have to finish right now. As one or two of them are NSFW I will not be doing those on stream, but as I am mostly a SFW artist who prefers SFW art, I will be doing most of my commissions on stream. A lot of them are already fairly far in terms of how much I've done on them so it will be a bit sporadic with some of them to begin with, but this is a way of me trying to get my work done as I find I work better with others there watching as well.
So TLDR; I will be opening commissions for fursuits in December, and art and plush will only open again on January. I will be posting my updated prices in December. I plan to start streaming within the next two weeks (Keep an eye out as I will be posting a streaming schedule and first stream date soon.) and I will be streaming digital art specifically.
So lots of exciting things to come for 2023! If you have any questions, suggestions, concerns or otherwise, feel free to send me a message.

Where Have I been? New Hobby and what the future holds.
Posted 3 years agoHi all! It's been a while since I've uploaded anything.
So where have I been? Well for the last month I had my future in-laws visiting the country and so it was quite difficult to get any work done. But even before that, I'm sure it's noticable that other than a few YCHs I haven't really done a lot of drawing. So what's going on?
Well, I've closed my commissions for a while now. Last year I had a severe issue with my wrist that developed after years of pain and issues, and I had to get surgery done for it. After over 6 months of physical therapy and working hard I managed to get most of the movement back in my wrist, which is more than I've had for years. As such I wasn't taking many commissions throughout 2021. And now in 2022 I've sort of taken a step back from art as a result. While I'm still drawing and still taking commissions and doing art, I'm working a lot slower than what I used to and I haven't been actively looking or advertising my commissions. As of April I closed my art commissions completely and have decided to take a break from drawing until further notice.
Will I ever continue to draw? I don't know. I certainly never intend on giving up drawing for good, but right now I have no plans to re-open my commissions until further notice. At least not art commissions.
In February this year, I actually decided to learn more about fursuit making. While working on a head, I realised I couldn't sew. Other than sticking a thread through a needle, I didn't know anything about sewing or making things that required sewing, and I wouldn't be able to make the head I wanted to until I was able to sew. so part of me closing my commissions is because that moment lead to a new hobby. I picked up sewing very quickly and within a couple of days, I started making stuffed animals. I figured if I could make a stuffed animal I could make a fursuit. While now I realise they're two totally different beasts, it did teach me to sew and is now something I enjoy doing.
It isn't super taxing on my wrist and as such I can sew for hours at a time without issues, where as drawing causes my hand and wrist to get sore after a couple of hours. I don't think I'll ever be perfectly healthy with regards to my wrist, there will always be some lingering damage and scar tissue causing issues and possibly arthritis in the future. So sewing is a good way for me to get my creativity out and not hurt myself.
So what does this all mean for my commissions? Well for now I'm open for stuffed animal commissions, and I've recently ordered a large amount of fur so I can try to make a full fursuit of one of my characters, Camo, and hopefully in the future open up fursuit commissions. I've made feet paws, hand paws, and a tail so far so I'm slowly gaining experience with fursuits. But until I'm done with my suit I don't intend on opening suit commissions. But for now, custom plush are up for sale, art is on break until my queue is empty (I have a few very complex images in my queue and as mentioned I am working slow with my drawing) so I will not be taking art commissions for a while, and watch this space as fursuit parts will be available in the future.

I might need Surgery on my Hand
Posted 5 years agoSo due to Covid I've officially begun doing Art as a fulltime job. It's my main and only source of income right this minute. However I've had ongoing problems with the tendons in my main hand (right hand) for upwards of 2-3 years now. So Naturally I needed to go look at getting this fixed if I plan to continue doing Art as a full time job.
This however did not end up as I anticipated. As I was aware of the fact that it is a tendon issue because I was diagnosed with Tendonitis some years ago from over exerting my hand during a learning course, I mostly expected the same treatment. Wear a splint, take these medications and you'll be fine in 2 weeks.
My doctor checked my hand and is very concerned with the findings, she hasn't given me much information because she wants me to see a hand specialist to get a full diagnosis. But right now I will either need physical therapy for my hand, or I will need corrective surgery. We are unsure how permanent or bad the damage is, hence the specialist, but I could either have Carpal Tunnel or severe tendonitis.
My hand is at a point where I cannot even open chip packets without pain, or write a sentence without hurting. So my abilities to function normally are severely compromised with my right hand right now.
I will continue to make art until I find out otherwise, I have gotten the go ahead and some medication to help me so that I can continue to draw and fill my commissions. So I will be drawing still and my commissions will continue to stay open to anyone interested in an image. But my work pace will be a lot slower to prevent further strain until I get more information.
