One Year: A big sappy thank you!
Posted 12 years ago❤❤❤
MFF 2013 has come and gone, a con which has become quite a milestone for me!
It was one year ago at MFF 2012 that I debuted mine and my boyfriends wild dog suits http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9360380/
Those two suits were a sort of a personal test for myself, I figured if I could give myself a deadline and create those complicated designs in time for a con and to my liking then perhaps I could take a crack at doing even more with my fursuit work. It was soon after MFF 2012 that I took on a handful of commissions and took a chance with quitting my job to attempt the life of a fulltime fursuit maker!
Here I am one year later and still living off my fursuit work and I have all of you to thank for it! I couldn't be happier with where I am right now and you guys really are the best!!
There have been a few little hiccups along the way as I continue to grow and learn, but once again you have all been amazingly understanding and patient as I work through my growing pains! I know compared to many other makers out there I still am a newer name in the fursuit community, but I feel like I already have grown so much in this one year. I have to thank every one of my customers for trusting a new maker like myself and helping me build up a name for myself in the furry community.
I hope to continue doing what I love and I am super excited to see all the characters I get to bring to life in the future.
I really can't stress enough how thankful I am for the support and encouragement I have received from the furry fandom.
Thank you all so much!!
❤❤❤

Need fursuit reference art?
Posted 12 years agoOne of the most important parts of commissioning a fursuit is having a clear reference image of your character; this not only helps preventing miss-communications but also helps the fursuit maker create a suit spot on to your intended design!
Though free to use art is very nice, mostly because it is free, I do recommend commissioning reference art from an artist who is familiar with the fursuit craft and can give advice on what does and does not work well on a fursuit. The biggest frustration when building suits if fur color, as much as we all wish that quality faux fur was available in all colors of the rainbow the truth is there is only so much of a selection out there, and working with another artist who is aware of this can really help create a quality reference sheet for a fursuit maker!
If you have any other links to free lineart or know someone else who can do clear fursuit references who are familiar with the craft then please comment with suggestions!
Please check my scraps for a verity of my own free to use templates:

That's Furred Up Contact Information!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
Recently I put up an ad again here on FA which means some new watchers have found my page!
First I would like to say Hi and thank you to all my new watchers! I'm still blown away by all the people who enjoy and support my work! You guys are awesome!
With a small influx of watchers I'd just like to once again go over some ways to contact me!
I take notes here on FA and email at Thatsfurredup[at]gmail.com
I also have a dedicated business account on Skype! ThatsFurredUp
I'm always happy to chat or answer quick questions through Skype, the only thing I can't do is give out specific quotes; I only do that through email when I am open to take new work. But I might be able to give rough price estimates.
If you see that I am online on Skype that means I am willing to chat! But a lot of times I am chatting while I work so there can be some delays in replies.
Finally I can also be found on Weasyl, Tumblr and Twitter all under the name ThatsFurredUp! A webpage is in the works.
Thanks again for the interest!
