UPDATE - Still Alive!

Just not as active these days! I have been active artwise offline, just haven't gotten around to posting here...but hoping to do another set of posts in the near future though.
There's been a lot that's happened the past few months. The main one being I am now a father of my 2nd child as of November :) So that's definitely been keeping me on my toes along side my four year old x)

General | Posted 4 years agoWow it's been a long time since I've posted a journal! Figured I'd post one sooner than later xp
I'd say it's been a fairly decent year so far for me for the most part...certainly better than last! Keeping busy with family life and my daughter has certainly kept me on my toes as she's walking now and is 16 months old :) My job has been busy as well but much better than my previous job that's for sure! Ofc I'm still posting art as most of you have seen but had to dial it down slightly to one or two post a week depending. I tend to be flexible but don't wanna overdo myself having being busy already life-wise xP
So how is everyone doing these days and how has 2021 been overall???

I'd say it's been a fairly decent year so far for me for the most part...certainly better than last! Hope you all are doing well! Just a quick update on how life's been since the big changes!
As for those who have missed the last journal....I am now officially a Daddy Shark! 🦈 Four weeks in to be exact.
It's been quite an experience raising the little shark girl so far ;w;
As mentioned previously, art has been put on the back burner until further notice. I do have a backlog of stuff to upload in the meantime at least. So in case you were wondering why I havent posted in awhile..... priorities have been shifted!
That's it for now but keep an eye out for some backlogged drawings!

General | Posted 5 years agoSo lately I’ve been evaluating my art and I couldn’t help but notice the lack of feedback on certain posts of mine. I seem to notice that the NSFW content seems to be well received.....regardless if the quality is good or not. Even if I’m trying my best on something SFW or middle ground it does not seem to be well received. I’m nearing 1000 watchers but it seems like I get the same 10% of watchers (not that I’m ain’t grateful for them...they’re always appreciated) but what about the other 90% of the watchers whom I see regularly on other people’s posts. What gives?? Is it my quality, my style, content that I focus on?
Do you prefer NSFW, SFW, pinups, or comedic stuff?
Not necessarily mad but just rather concerned as if there’s something I’m missing. It feels whenever I strive to improve, I seem to not be good enough to please my watchers.

Storm is Over

Just wanted to post an update with regards to Hurricane Dorian. I am doing fine thankfully as our island New Providence was spared of this monster. Unfortunately the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama are completely decimated from the storm just about. Homes have been blown away or flooded , the airport is flooded making it hard to fly in, lack of communications and multiple people are missing and unaccounted for still. I have family on these islands but thankfully they are safe but in need of a lot of help.
The US Coast Guard and British Navy are in country trying to assist as much as they can to provide relief and evacuate those who need medical attention. Relief efforts have been set up in aid of the two islands. I will be helping to donate stuff. If you wish to help out and donate please visit below:

Hurricane Dorian UPDATE #2
General | Posted 6 years agoLooks like the storm is finally pushing away from us after a day or two stall over Grand Bahama. I have heard from family members who said they are safe but there is extensive damage :(
Conditions were pretty bad through the night here but they seem to have calmed down abit again. Hopefully it is the last of it.
I can say that we are in the clear now thankfully. Thank you all for checking up on me during this time <3 Please check up on
zuhra as well as she is experiencing the same as me.
Everything is fine where I am at with minor wind and rain but expected to intensify in the next few hours. However, I cannot say much for the northern islands, Abaco and Grand Bahama being pounded by Category 5 Dorian :( The eye is over Abaco at the moment. Just hope nobody gets hurt as I have family on those islands. Will continue to keep you posted.
So not sure if much people have been paying attention to the weather lately but we are under a threat from Hurricane Dorian which is to the East of us at the moment traveling in a North west direction. It has been projected to graze our island but the northern islands will be impacted more. However, this projection could potentially change within the next few hours as it could shift more westward and plow straight through our island. So we’ve been preparing for the most part Incase! Wish us luck!

Life Updates

Hope you all are doing well these days.
Just wanted to give a little update on how things been lately on my side.
So as of late my country has been going through a power outage crisis due to a few generators that have broken down at the local power plant . Because of this , load shedding has been occurring each day for about 2-3 hours. And with this heat that’s been a torture :/
Luckily at times it’s been rainy which helps keep it cool but most of the time it’s been pretty humid oof x.x Despite this I’ve been managing .
Other than that, I’ve been doing better emotional wise as I have decided to see a therapist to help with my anxiety a few weeks ago. I’ve been feeling more steady at least and I hope it does stay that way. But yea my anxiety was really bad a few weeks ago to the point where I was doubting or having trust issues with my friends. I was having unwanted thoughts. I do apologize to anyone who have upset over this but I want to assure you, things will get better. Wish me well in my recovery please !
Art wise, things have been steady but these power outages have been rather a hinderance >.> Nevertheless I’ve managed to get things down gradually. Expect some more art soon!

Insecurities
General | Posted 6 years agoIt sucks to have insecurities , it really does and it’s been happening all these years....I just didn’t realize what it was until now. It has caused so many unnecessary problems in my life. It has and have almost cost me friendships, questioning my trust with certain people including my close friends, even my own art and to almost give up on things that I love. It makes me into an unnecessary pessismist at times and i hate it. I tend to isolate myself because of these occurences and thinking the worst case scenario.
Events and incidences dating to as far as my youth to the more recent years have plagued my mind and they fuel those doubtful feelings of others. No matter how hard I try to forget those events, they still stick to me....like reoccurring nightmares. Certain things can trigger these insecurities and make me question people -whether they are truthful or simply lying to me. I don’t know what or who believe. It really gets a hold of me bad.
Now that I know what my problem is, now I need to tackle it.....I say... no more!
I just wish I could have a better handle on it before it gets worst.
Not sure if anyone here suffers a similar fate or has managed to conquer their insecurities but if you have an anything that you can suggest or give helpful tips, it would be greatly appreciated please! I just want to overcome this for good before it gets out of hand.

I will assign a number which will be picked using a Random Number Generator to see who gets a slot! In all fairness for others, if you’ve won a slot, you cannot participate in the next slot.
