As you may, or may not, know: arts will be extremely limited for a while. As such, when I do open commissions after the next queue, prices may be a bit higher (as I must make-up some form of income in my free time). I continue to research and find ways to improve backgrounds, so I won't be focusing too much on pricing for backgrounds (unless it's something extremely ridiculous, such as Camelot castle in the fiery pits of Hell, succumbed under the weight of a plethora of rainbows... or something).
But yes, I am still doing arts here and there. I haven't disappeared.

Classes have recently picked up, having four classes on Monday to Wednesday... leaving Thursday and Friday to fa-- draw.... draw. =w=
Went to Jacksonville to undergo the processing at the MEPS (Military Examination Processing Station). Couldn't do shit because of my prior engagements, so I waited for 9 hours. Ah well. Should make my next run painless, and giving me more opportunity to improve my ASVAB. Congrats to Linkbutt for getting 98/99 on his, though. Lucky ass.
Looking at getting a bookstore job because I'm sick and tired of working for food. Shit makes you fat, yo. Ain't Kosher.

Anyways, I just wanted to give y'all the rare update on stuff. Yes, stuff. Stuff is pretty nice. Firstly, commissions will be bumping up to $12 from the previous $10 deal. From here on out. I've been told by various sources that this was necessary (otherwise, I'd just keep them at that price... but you know). I'm always open for commissions, but realize that there is a queue. Nowadays, until the semester picks up next month, I will be free most times for commissions, and to get them done in a timely fashion.
Secondly, my Website. It's up-and-running. Go there for information on commissions, for I'm too lazy to go about detailing everything here. ( darkfawx.weebly[dot]com )
Lastly, there is the possibility that I will be transferring accounts. It will be more relative to my current alias, Darkfawx. You can get a head-start on watching, if you'd like, at Darkfawks

Linkbutt and I recently got a new roommate. Although he will remain unnamed, we'd like to welcome him into the, now official, Furhome. :3
My search for a job has recently received some slack. Domino's Pizza. This will do until something better comes along. Commissions aren't enough to pay the bills, sadly.
Marines transfer paperwork has been completed and my expected ship date to the Basic Depot will be next summer, once classes have ceased for this academic year. NOTE: upon leaving for this, my art will be extremely rare or will cease altogether for a while. Reason being that I will have to remain under a low profile. Wouldn't want the higher-ups to know I draw "beastiality porn" and whatnot (even though it's not that... but you know, generalizations yay).
Also, I'm requesting motivational videos. Any video that will help one to get in the mood to workout. It would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading!

[Fucking] Le Update: February 2012
Posted 13 years agoWell, Valentine's Day is coming up. Ah yes, the day where we all show that special someone how much we care and love/like them. Also the time where the Forever Alones will gather and play XBox, forming a Together Alone Alliance and whatnot.
But anyways, I must say that I am quite hopeful. The past month or two have been pretty hard, and I'm sure you all have seen it. BUT! All is well in the world of Darkfox. Why? Because~ c:
But really, had a vacay from this place, and I must say I am pretty damn happy. Spent the weekend at a friend's place, rode around town on a bike, went to a club, and got absolutely sillyfaced before passing out. Needless to say, said friend *cough*Link*cough* has really been keeping me out of that blue. He deals with my crap. :3 What a doll~
But yeah, I may start throwing out sketches (on paper... then taken as a picture with my phone). But yes. I'm alive. I'm happy. Content. And hoping for good things. And who knows... maybe stuff... =w= Murr.

My Current Situation

And may I say, it couldn't have come out at a better time.
But anyways, I know some of you are all "Oh noes, no more drawings?" For now, no, aside from the notebook doodles that I keep private. But I do hope on continuing the Foxy Grunt story. The past two weeks have been complete Hell for me, to be honest. I've been lost, and I couldn't seek the refuge I had hoped. However, after this morning (and failing my APFT, woohoo), I've made amends with my situation.
To the person in question: I will stand by you and your decisions. I will have an open ear for you and will support you and your new mate. As long as we can remain friends, at least.
That aside, I'm still alive and breathing. Fate had other plans for me, two times. Maybe I'll go back to drawing, but that will take time. There's that word: "time." Not the funnest word, but one that we will all eventually understand. I want to thank all of you for watching my art, helping me grow and mature, and simply dealing with my shit. :3

School kept both busy, and my annual "down in the dumps" mindset pushed him away. Anyways, in terms of drawing. Yes, I've put out a couple works from last weekend. My plan for this weekend: get
Jaker's commission done. I seriously owe this guy a sketch later on or something for being so patient. But yeah, slowly getting back into the habit of drawing.

I didn't want to begin on them until I had a properly-functioning pen tip (since the one I had would toy with the writing sensitivity when I draw, resulting in much erasing and very few art outputs).

Uni is throwing some pretty heavy stuff at me, and I'm trying to get that done ASAP so I can get your commissions, hopefully, before the end of April. That's my goal. My challenge is finishing them within the next two weeks.

"Wait, what? Why?!" you may be asking. Well, I'm not gone forever. I'll be back, but after this block, I'll be taking up classes at another university as well as a job. And with that, I've generally gotten bored of the Internet for the time being. So, I'll pretty much be AWOL upon completion of this block. It's just become too much, since drawing gives me flashbacks of times I wish still existed. Times with friends that begin with R, T, K, P, S and M. Those who have names starting as such will know (Skype). I don't like looking into the past, so I'm just going to abandon it.
So, for now, I'll be around for a week or two, getting this done. After that, hasta luego, eh?

Posted 15 years agoLove... just a psychological neuron in the brain that reacts with need and beauty. Tch, yeah... beauty. I'd like to believe love is just. I have before, but now?... I just don't know if fate really happens. When the one you truly love is now just a close friend, 3000 miles away. A spark once there but not there anymore. Then the crush you have not even being your type, and you end up humiliating yourself, your ego and your emotions. I believed in love... I even defended love against those who looked down upon it, but... now?... I see where they're getting at.
To say "I love you" because you really do, and have the ability to just be within your partners arms, close to them, such closeness to show love and care to both sides...
I went for a walk tonight; dark, cold and alone; and I thought about "love." As the saying goes "Till death do us part"... what about after death? They say love lasts forever... but forever is eternity... and our lives average around 80 years... that's not eternity... after death love just... disappears? Sure, some may say there's an "afterlife" and/or our souls go on living... afterlife? No. Just no. Not my cup of tea. The souls though?... I'm just losing faith in that concept and their fate.
I sometimes wonder... what would it be like if I died right now? For a few month, grievance, sure. What about 5 years? Family may still remember, but the ones you've loved to relationship status... they'd see me as "that friend that died years ago" and they move on... sure, it's good to move on. Human nature. But... to be seen as "that friend that died" by the one you love?... hmm...
During my walk, I passed some flowers. Flowers are like love. They grow, and then they die; grow, and die again. It's a fucking cycle... a cycle of life, and then the cold touch of death. Like love... grows, dies, grows, dies. "Oh, but each growth is more beautiful than the last." Yeah, but it still dies... Why go through the constant cycle of love then heartbreak? Why go through the reoccurring pain of lost love? "Tis better to have love lost than no love at all." But... what if we can't find said love to begin with?... Nothing but false hope and distant love...
So I sit here, writing, wondering why I keep attempting to love, to have tat feeling of being in my partners arms and just stay there; content, secure, safe... I don't see it happening for me... I see others with better luck and opportunities alike... and I sit there, envious, jealous, just wanting to know what that really feels like...
I just don't know with love anymore... I've tried and tried again, but it's just not working for me. Sure, you may put me down and say "You're wrong, love IS worth it, you fuckwit." ... By all means, go for it because quite frankly, I've lost all hope in it for the time being... Fate hates me right now, and I hate it, so I'm done trying from such mutuallity. Done trying to search for love that is prone to not happen. For now, I stay in the shadows of the world of hearts. For now, love is meaningless to me... Sorry.
