While at Mare Fair
Posted a week agoI'm bringing this knockoff mare that I saved from a recycling bin in Germany and this book that I originally bought for the pony figurines that came with it (which I have replaced with some different ponies I didn't want) to Mair Fair.
I'm going to put a note on both that says [Free to a good home] and hide them somewhere around the Convention.

Mare Fair
Posted a week agoTo whom it may concern. I will be attending Mare Fair.
If you can find me feel free to come talk to me, hang out, maybe share a drink.
I might even scribble a doodle out for you if you're cool.
Also as a side note after Mare Fair I will be out of country for a couple of weeks on a family vacation.
After that I have to move to Northern Alabama for work, so I will likely be busy for the next month and some change between vacation, moving and settling into a new job and home.

Sweater String
Posted a month agoYou guys ever have one of those loose string on a sweater days?
Like you set out to do one thing but end up getting caught up doing a whole bunch of associated things until your time is gone?
Take for example I decide I'm going to backup all of my files backed up on 2 separate backup drives on my main tower to the storage on my laptop, and play halo while I wait for the fires to transfer.
I was going to use a USB transfer cable I have, but for some unfathomable reason. I would have had to skip every duplicate file individually, so I try networking both machines together with an ethernet cable.
Turns out, I have to do a shit load of backend shit to set up filesharing between 2 computers networked via ethernet, including basically disabling any file protection in both machines just to let them transfer files, after I logged into both machine's other admin account. Then after all that the sharing only let me into the User's files on the C:\> so I had to enable both drives my actual files are stored on for sharing in both machines, because I keep all of the actual files on my D:\> drives on both machines. Turns out, neither machine could write to the other so then I just had to copy files from the other computer to the computer that was receiving the file only. (Not a big deal but still needlessly frustrating)
Then while I'm doing all this I end up trying to connect this Xbox I ended up with for free to a bunch of accounts so everything in integrated for my normie shit. Then I end up going through all of my passwords saved on google and Edge to make sure all of my normie log-ins are managed and cleaned up as well as moving a shit-load of passwords I only had saved to google through my phone to edge, for my car-insurance, Taxes, Linkedin, ECT...
Then because all of my devices are desynced I need to manually type in a bunch of shit, fill blanks for login details since I had a bunch of sites saved with just passwords, just usernames or some one time code as a password and other junk before playing ring around the CV and updated all of my normie browsers. since I use Waterfox for most of my actual web activity and only have my pony and gooner credentials saved on there... for obvious reasons.
Anyway long story long, I ended up spending most of my day managing computers instead of actually playing games, because on top of all that, I finally have a copy of Halo 5 and now I can't find any matches of arena on matchmaking, and while warzone firefight is fun and all. I really want to play some of the arena games instead, because I am trying to get some achievements, and the multiplayer in Halo 5 is genuinely fun when you're not getting one shot from across the map in the nearly unplayable (Not Firefight) Warzone.
Anyway I don't know if anyone else has that kind of problem. but I do...

Semantic Error is about a low life hacker trying to scrape by in a futuristic Equestria.
Cold File (our protagonist) has been lead around on mysterious jobs given by a client going by the handle Wintermute, took a job helping a race driver find a saboteur, as well as taking a job helping a mysterious pony forge documents for 2 foals and a young adult mare and recently Cold File has also decided to help the princess Twilight stop a plot to target her head of security led by the local mafia.

Anonpone.com is gone
Posted 2 years agoNot sure if any of you care or really know about it but the site that archived all of the /mlp/ CYOAs is dead and it looks like it's forever. The owner of the site AMM recently tried to overhaul the site and fix a bunch of issues that had cropped up over the years but after trying to correct some mistakes it looks like it busted the site beyond repair.
The CYOA community is probably what kept me making pony content this long and I’ve been running quests that have been archived on Anonpone since 2015.
At this point there’s still a capture on the internet archive for 2020 but with the way things are going I don’t think it will last. I think I’m going to try and scrape my stuff from Desuarchive but it still feels like I’m loosing so much stuff I loved about the pony fandom now that Anonpone is gone.
Also not sure where I should host my old CYOA content after scraping it. there are a lot of pictures and text that go together and I'm not sure what would be a good solution for backing it up for people to read through in the future due to it all being originally formatted for 4chan.
