New Camera Gear
General | Posted 11 years agoLocal photography store is going out of business.
Honestly, no idea how they stayed in business for so long. Their customer service was fucking SHIT.
BUT, 75% off storewide called my name. So in I went.
I walk out with a
Promaster AF80-210mm lens,
Promaster Battery Grip (holds two Nikon batteries for twice the battery life, but does function off of only one battery),
and a 52mm green filter for shits n' giggles.
All told: $45.
Today was a good day.
EDIT: Pic of the camera with the grip and lens installed http://i.imgur.com/ekZret1.jpg

This Weekend
General | Posted 11 years agoThis was a good weekend. Took the Corvette out on Saturday night and had a blast. Was my first time behind the wheel since at least last summer. Also made the decision to use it as a project car, because it could use some work. It has 108,000 miles on it (we think...), has a shredded fan housing as a result of the motor mounts being broken... And quite possibly a total engine overhaul. So... I figure it's as good a place as any to start.
Strange, yet charming...

General | Posted 11 years agoOkay, so...
Made it back safe and sound from Orange Beach.
Met
nominusexpers and had an amazing time with him.
Decided to make a change in my life and go back to school.
Gonna get a better job, one that won't slowly kill me.
Also gonna go pick up my tail from the Post Office, so I'll keep you guys updated on that.
I'm tired.

nominus_expers. He's in dire financial straits and needs almost $2,000 in the next 6 days or else he'll lose his house...
Please, anything helps... I care about him a lot and if I could grab the money out of my own bank account and drive it all to him, I would. You have my word. But I can't... So please help.

Guitar update
General | Posted 12 years agoThe neck is fixed, and the guitar now has 6 strings instead of just four, and three shiny new tremolo springs. Next step is to get a whammy bar.
Guitar nearly fixed
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, back in December I bought a beat-up Washburn KC-44v off of Craigslist.
Well, after a month or two I've finally got it at nearly 100% after gluing a broken seam on the neck.
I'm also aiming to get a replacement whammy bar and some new rust-free tremolo springs.
I'm pretty pumped~

Can I go on an adventure, please?
Can I go on an adventure, please?
Oh shit I completely forgot
General | Posted 12 years agoUhh, had my 6th FA anniversary on the 7th of this month.
I entirely forgot about this.
I've been a fur for 6 years, oh my goodness.
Carry on! Just needed to say it, I guess.

Cool new artist
General | Posted 12 years agoHey, all.
Just thought I'd point you guys toward
thenegative's art.
Not only does he draw regular furs, but he also draws robots, and other cool stuff, too.
Go ahead and say hello, and let him know I sent ya.

New Phone
General | Posted 12 years agoI got a new cell phone for Christmas from my parents. An iPhone 5c (a white 16gb model) to replace my LG Voyager Titanium (circa 2007).
I'm really grateful, and tbh it is a little bit robotic because of the color and the case I got with it (a black Otterbox case).
It's a nice phone, and I wonder how it'll work out for me when I'm at work.

Life
General | Posted 12 years agoDoing okay.
Started working full-time at the beginning of December. So, more money, less free time.
Trying to stay warm at work, still meeting interesting people but still not being super enthusiastic about going into work every day.
Yeah.
Happy holidays.

Back from MFF
General | Posted 12 years agoHonestly, I couldn't stop smiling sometimes.
Met some nice people and some nice fursuiters.
It was so odd to just be so casual about my furriness.
And oh my god. The fursuit hugs. *Swoons*

Excited for MFF
General | Posted 12 years agoOkay, admittedly getting a bit anxious and excited for this.
This is my first con, so I'm kind of at a loss for what to do!
I'm planning on getting there between 2-3:00 PM, but then I've got no plans!
If you want to hang out or just meet with me, I'll have my camera and stuff.
Also feel free to send me a text message! Note me with your cell number and I'll try to meet up with you.

ok so I might go to MFF 3.3;
General | Posted 12 years agoUm, still working out plans like finances and all that.
Also, I'd need to find a room, so if anyone is in need of a roommate, I don't mind chipping in somewhat for the cost of a room.
I do talk in my sleep a bit, and I also snore a little. Just putting that out there.
You'd only have to deal with me for one night. Saturday night to Sunday morning.
I'd get there sometime in the mid-afternoon on Saturday because I work in the morning, and I'd stick around until like, noon-ish on Sunday.
Yeah.

My life right now
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm not great.
I found out I can't afford to go back to college anymore.
I'm also under pressure from my parents to work full time.
This sucks and I don't want to lose control of my life, but it seems that's happening anyway.
I want to get out of here.

At the gun store
General | Posted 12 years agoThis afternoon, at the gun store with my older brother.
"You know, I think I've only held a Glock once..."
A salesman (real top guy, like him a lot) overhears us and with a smile and a swoop of his hand presents me with a Glock 22.
I smile like an idiot, take it from him and say,
"Thanks," to which he replies
"No problem" with a smile of his own.
God, I love being an American.
*EDIT: Alright, I get it. You guys don't like Glocks. Stop it already.

What A Trip
General | Posted 12 years agoWent to Chicago to the Chicago Institute of Art, saw some cool art. Met up with
synthwolf and chatted for a while and he met my folks.
Home now, though. Tired. Heh.

Fact about me
General | Posted 12 years agoI can, and am possessive as fuck about my friends irl.
I don't care for much more than just one-on-one hangouts with my friends.
I'm immature about sharing friends in a group. Please bear with me on this.

Kinda furry-related dream
General | Posted 12 years agoOkay, so in my dream, I remember experiencing a fair amount of hunger, so I go out and meander through several restaurants (based on the layout of restaurants along a road that I know in real life) until I come to a donut shop. It was strangely arranged, arranged much like a food stand at a carnival, state fair, or some sort of permanent fair-like establishment with no interior eating room, just windows where food was put out for people to buy. I went up to a clerk at one of the windows and remember asking how many donuts were left (sorta like a barbecue joint where once a certain cut of meat has been ordered enough times, they simply are out and you can't order any more of that item). The clerk is roughly my age, maybe a bit older, with black rimmed glasses and short-ish curly hair covered by a cap. He answers me promptly and then writes something down on a scrap of napkin. He hands it to me and I say thank you. I look at the piece of napkin and experience a sudden jump in adrenaline. He's written down the link to his Fur Affinity username. My hands shake and I realize he must have recognized me online. It was a crazy rush to think that he had recognized my face. It was so weird.
And now I have a craving for donuts.
