General | Posted 15 years agoWell after having my account hacked and my artwork deleted, I've returned and decided to reupload my stuff. I was going to create a whole new account, but seeing as how FA isn't allowing that right now this will have to do.
I've begun to expand my artwork as well, not only doing cub stuff, but I'm going to do a wider range of characters. Right now I'm actually designing a furry board game that I can hopefully bring to Oklacon this year, I'm drawing out the characters for it, starting with the main characters. I'll probably start it off small, then expand as I go. I'll post more info on the game later!
Lot of stuff going on lately, some good, some bad. On the plus side I'm re-employed. Working with Directv as a customer support operator. Starting pay wasn't bad, and it's better than losing my place to live, my internet, and just about everything else, you know?
So, that's about it for now. I know ya'll didn't miss me too much, but hey I'm back anyway!

I go back to work tonight. 6pm to 10pm, so it's not a bad shift. I suppose I just have to suck it up and bite the bullet. I'm just hoping the con crud I have doesn't slow me down, and the scorpion sting I took is something to worry about a little bit as well. I told my folks that it was a harmless species that tagged me, but I have my suspicions it may have in fact been a Bark Scorpion, however again I remain unsure, as I've felt alright for the most part and it's been 2-3 days since the sting, and yes for the record, after I found the little stinger i let him go back in the woods. I did not kill him.
Sunday's going to be the shift I hate, 9am to 5pm. I hate getting up in the morning, and when I applied for my job I told them I wouldn't work Sunday, but whatever. I suppose it doesn't matter. I actually expected to be working the rest of the week but I in fact have Friday and Saturday off. Maybe I'll hit Iron Builder on SL.

Oklacon - Wow
General | Posted 16 years agoOk! Home from my 2nd Oklacon, also my 2nd con period. Wow that was interesting. I have to tell you guys a few things. Corsi comes to pick me up (yes, the bitchmouse herself, my gramma, so stfu :P ), and she's running extremely late because I was told she left relatively early. The drive down wasn't eventful, just chit-chatting and such. However almost as soon as we get out of the car, HOLY **** IT'S COLD! This is one of the only reasons I don't like Oklacon. I have a blown thyroid, so I am hyper-super-mega cold sensitive, and I definitively felt COLD. Keep in mind I was wearing a thermal shirt, a hoodie, and my vintage WW2/Korean War era flight jacket, which is designed to keep pilots warm at like 30,000 feet, so yeah.
Also, I failed in my duty to protect Corsi, miserably.... I was sworn to protect Corsi from injuring herself, but unfortunately, you can't protect Corsi from Corsi, that is mission: never gonna happen ^^
First day we were there, she slips and busts her shin open a bit on a door frame. She's ok though so no worries, still ran predator and prey no problem.
Ok, so I got to be an interesting special character this time around in Predator & Prey. Last year, I was a character called Diseased Prey, which meant that if a carnivore or omnivore tagged me, instead of me giving up a bead, they gave me one for contracting my disease. Well, the first person that tagged me ratted me out to the rest of the crowd, and my game was ruined, although I did have one epic kill the last few minutes of the game.
This year, I was the "Hunter", the Hunter comes in normally 2 minutes before the game ends, and just has to have line of sight, and you're dead, do not pass go, do not collect 200 life beads, you lose all beads and your game is over. He can tag multiple people at one time and is usually the one who gets the most kills, considering I just have to see you and you die. Well anyway, being a cub, and people on SL know I'm a good shot, I got a badge commissioned by the wonderful Merageshu on here, of my little cute self cuddling a rifle in baby-blue camo and a paci hanging out of my mouth hehe. I'll post it here after a bit. I wasn't originally going to have a diaper on in the picture, but she actually is the one who suggested the diaper. It looks a bit large and plain, but she is a mother herself so she does know what a diaper is supposed to look like :P
Oh and by the way, for those that know about the disease special character, he was called AIDS this year, the "Anally Injected Death Sentence" XD
Also came out with some rather interesting new terms this year. For those of you who are familiar, we play this game called Are you a Werewolf? It's kind of like a game called Mafia i've heard, but anyway. We get about 10 or more players, and everyone is dealt a card. On the card is your role. Most people are villagers, while a couple are werewolves. The werewolves job is to kill the villagers during the night phase of the game while everyone elses eyes are closed. When day breaks, the villagers have to randomly guess people to try and lynch them, they use the term nominate. I got to thinking. "Nominate..." then it clicked "Well, the werewolves Nahm & Ated someone pretty much every night!" So that became my con term, I wrote in peoples conbooks "You have now been Nahm & Ated!" ^_^
Another one came when I was laying in bed at about 3am. Keep in mind, the reason I was still awake, I have Corsi above me on the top bunk, Zephyr Panther in the bunk at my feet, and TamaraRose on the floor next to me, all 3 snoring louder than GOD. For a while Zephyr and Corsi were tag-team snoring, and it almost had a little beat going to it lol. One would breath while the other snored, and visa versa. Anyways, this guy across from me named Kiet, and I got to talking. Somehow or another he said something that irked me, so I said the ever popular "you fail." He goes "No I don't, I win! Or maybe I Fin? (Fail + wIN)." So I retorted "Well maybe you Wail instead? (Win + fAIL)." Keep in mind this is 3am humor. We then got the joke, and suddenly it became "Whale Fin". So remember, if you don't fail, and you don't win, you Whale Fin. It was amusing seeing peoples "WTF?!" looks on their faces.
Also, I want to get a shirt made. I heard this at the con. You don't have ADHD, you have ADOS "Attention Deficit....OH, SHINY!" Hehehehe.
Also had the interesting experience of being stung by a scorpion, but it was not a dangerous species so yeah, I caught the little bastard and examined him myself to make sure, but I was perfectly fine so don't worry.
I met up with quite a few people I saw last year, which was great. I want to thank all the people who made my con great this year, I needed the vacation. People of note are Bucktown Tiger, who is awesome, Kiet is a good guy, Rinzy was cool as hell, Merageshu, very lovely lady and sweetheart, Skylor and Crys the Hybrid who are of course family, Draconis, Warndog and Kojiro, My Aunty TamaraRose and her husband Litz the lion, I know her only as PanPan, since I never got her actual name, I think Panda or something, but she was a sweetheart, The artist formerly known as PixieKitty (also called Chaos this time I think), Blue Otter, Foxcat, Cute Puppy, Horse's Ghost, Seagull Prophet, Wolfose Lombardi, Zephyr Panther, my good friends Pras and Progen who came up for a bit, Clancy, and god knows I've forgotten several others, so if you remember me from the Con, send a shout out!
A special love you and thank you to my gramma Corsi, the epic bitchmouse you all know and love, for cubnapping me again this year.
