Before i would regularly space out my art postings to "capitalize" on having more time live in the algorithm, and space artworks out so their would be a more consistent flow of artworks pouring out into everyone's feed.
That mindset is a little dumb (for me anyways) :P
instead of holding an art hostage for the right time to post it, i'll just post it once it's ready to go, and just let the algorithm do what it feels like doing with it. I'm not really concerned with growth like i once was, and having to schedule my arts feels weird.
I am also shifting up how i do shading after consulting a few friends, and doing some self reflection, so i hope you don't mind the new shading style. I like it, and it feels like a good approach to art from this point onward. I keep learning new things, and wanting to apply them every so often in an atempt to better myself, and the art i produce. it might be hard at times, but it is what i want to do with art, and i enjoy it.

Returning to normal art and requesting character suggesti...
Posted a year agoAs the title suggest, we'll be returning to our normal art stuff shortly after the final Lingerie art for the set is finished. It's been a odd little side project for over 2 months now, and it's honestly interesting seeing it finally be finished off (well, almost finished off).
Apart from just wanting to draw more fun clothing options, and the female characters, it's been a nice time to learn anatomy, and better understand posing. Only downside, i kinda miss drawing backgrounds :P While they do take slightly longer, and are more tedious to work around, i like them.
We've had a lot of growth over the course of the art pack, and it has been a great chance to actually figure stuff out for some aspects of my art that i never really had much time to focus on. I really REALLY struggle with highlights. Highlights are my bane. I've slowly gotten a better understanding of them, but i've still got room to improve. My posing, and detail work is still good, and has gotten better, but there are still areas i can work on more.
there is a lot of stuff lined up in the near future, so i hope you can enjoy those works. I wish my art had a more dedicated theme to it apart from my OC's, and a more generalized focus on thighs, and hips, but i like to keep it mixed up. More diverse content is on the way.
But while your here, Are there any characters you would like to see drawn in my style? I haven't really drawn many random characters, Mainly Patra (Patra is just too good of a character), SO if you would like to suggest a potential charracter to draw, let me know :3

Random Art secrets
Posted a year ago1. Always remember to think about what someone has said in terms of critique, art tricks, or suggestions on what to change, instead of blindly following that advice.
- Some advice can be more detramental than helpful, and thinking that "this is the only way", can lead to a destructive behavior regarding your art. Listen, consider, and apply what has been said if you think it is good, and insightful.
2. Draw what you like, not what you think others will like.
-If you chase trends just to chase trends, you'll eventually burn out, and become a slave to the trend grinder that constantly pumps out content, witch has you competing against multiple others all at the same time, while larger artist are also in the pool domonating it. Just draw what you like, and if you happen to want to draw a trend, do it cause you want to do it, not because you have to do it to stay relevent.
3. Don't base your worth off of commissions/don't do commisions if you aren't ready for it.
-Just don't. this is genernally a bad idea, as you'll begin to question your own worth as you're not getting customers, and it will tank you self esteem. Many people get told to "open commissions" and that people would pay X amount for commissions, but when it is time to start doing commissions, sometimes no one snaps them up, and it can hurt you mentally. I just advise against doing commissions unless your genuinly ready to plundge into that hole, and are fine with a bit of akward steps.
4. Use tools, and referances.
- use them. they were made to be used.
5. Draw what you love, and people will come.
- It's not about numbers, or how big you are. while those things are awsome, and nice, at the end of the day, your still you. and you gotta stay true to yourself. don't lose yourself. Many artist do. and it hurts.
secret tip #6
if your colouring an area, and outline the lineart so you can bucket fill, Start with the smallest areas inside the artwork first, then gradually move outwards to bigger sections. If you start with the eye, then the hair, then the cloths, When it's time to colour the body, you won't have to worry about colouring over the cloths, since they're already coloured. The eyes are coloured aswell, so you don't have to worry about those either. you can just worry about the outline, and the areas you haven't coloured, saving you time, while still preserving quality.
how it saves time: If you start in a smaller area, when you move to a larger section, you won't have to outline that area anymore, since it is already coloured. If it is on a seperate layer, You can have that layer be above the other, and have a perfect colouring with no jagged edges. starting with Pupils, then whites of the eyes, when it comes time to colour the face, i don't have to worry about being careful around the eyes, since they will not be effected
that is all. I thank everyone for their support, it really means a lot to me ;w; Some spicy arts are coming up. I've changed my stance on art, and will be drawing more characters who arn't my OC's, but there will still be plenty of my OC's popping up :P

It is now my mission to become big enough that i can snuff out the idea that it is "just how it is" and remind people what it means to be an artist.

Random OC facts Part 1

Clock, Bound Liyorlis: Clock is a pacifist. Seeking non-violent resolves to confrontations. however, this dose not take violence off the table when his life is on the line.
Iris, Winged-Liyorlis: Iris Is the most capable swimmer, While being the 3rd most proficient aerial specialist (that order being: Clock, Ashe, Iris, Elizabeth, and Maple)
Destiny, Rat: Destiny Works in an office as a call center representative. She has a reputation of being a flirt, amoungst other things. She hates it there.
Ashe, Coyote: Ashe secretly browses candy store websites to look at their chocolate options, reading the descriptions. She has been caught multiple times, and is embarrassed by the prospect of surcoming to temptations (She doesn't know what incognito mode is, so the browser history is funny).
Elizabeth, Bluejay: Liz is a good marksman. She how ever hasn't landed any of her shots in the love department. (poor bird.)
Maple, Pegasus: While heavily food motivated, Maple is far more motivated by the prospect of a competition, and a challange. The best food to motivate her is cookies, But anything homemade will work just as well.
Olivia, Shark: Olivia enjoys picking on her friends, and taunting them. She dose not enjoy others taunting or picking on her friends. She will resort to violence very quickly.

Potential Liyrolis adoption raffle

as you know i've been planning to make the liyorlis species into an official species with a base that people can use to create their own little imposter dragons. While working on the liyorlis, i would end up creating a few of them to stand in as the "lore specimen" to appear on the lore cards for each species, just filling in what each species history is, and a bit of detail about them, While having a seperate base for those who wish to build their own.
would anyone be interested in receiving those base liyorlis Oc designs as adopts?
I have to make them anyways, just seems better to give them away once they're made, and allow people to use them as their own Oc, putting their own personality into them and such.
We're working on the species right now, so please be patient :3 We gotta make 7 characters, and bases for people to use (i've never done bases, but this should be interesting.)

Writing a divere cast
Posted 2 years agoIn my desire to spread mini bits of wisdom, lets just throw this out there!
Your cast, and who they are;
It really dosen't matter whom everyone is as long as everyone is their self; having their dreams, goals, personality and word choices.
If each character can be summerized in a few sentances, they are good characters, and worth reading/learning about.
My examples;
Clock; a reserved Liyorlis who would chose peaceful resolves over excessive violence, but has no issues letting things get messy. Mistrusting of others and a nervous wreck in social situations.
Iris; a passionate child who is still a bit green in terms of sociatal norms, opting to just do what feels right, and listen to her heart. Has faith the good nature of others, but is always on gaurd for signs of deceit.
Destiny; a lonely girl who has tried, and failed, to fill the hole in her heart through risky clothing choices and a fast paced dating pattern in hopes someone sticks around. Takes pleasure in teasing her potential interest, and friends alike, thinking her body is more inportant than her personaliy.
Ashe; faith driven women of devotion, who choses to do good by God even if she is a abhorent sin by her own standards. Everyones gaurdian angel, and fountian of wisdom.
Idk why i do these, i just think someone will read them and think "yaknow... That one guy who draws them THICC rat thighs has a point" before returning to their daily browsing.
(Btw, Oero is iris's pet beetle. Its oreo spelt backwards.)

i feel bad for the artist i commission, cause i am the most scatter brained potato when it comes to asking for stuff. And i'm worried it'll be the hardest thing in the world for someone to draw, or i'll explain it wrong, then they have the wrong pose. So i just draw a little sketch of what i'd like, while it still looks like shit, and it's just a whole ordeal, and it's to late to back out now cause i've already sent the message, and made the request ;-;
and now i'm waiting to see if they'd be able to draw what i've asked, and i'm not prepared for any of this, FML. i should have a ref sheet of my characters at this point, but i'm too lazy to make one, so it's just me sending pictures i've made with the characters, and hoping everything comes out right.

Clearing my subbmissions
Posted 2 years agoafter 1 week of ignoring it, cause it jumped up from 60 to like 400 in a single day, i've poured through the 2245 artworks that were submitted :D
*now for the bad part*
I also unfollowed a bunch of artist ;-; Witch feels bad, but i actually looked through the artist content, seeing if i still was interested in them, and what they posted.
criteria beyond: "i'm no longer interested in this art", would include:
-mass uploads that aren't a part of a series, or spamming "edits" of the same art, with no real differance.
-mass advertisment, or only advertising (advertising is fine, but when it's the only thing they were doing)
-inconciderate uploading; Upload art when it's convinient, but when you dump 60+ arts all at once, in a row, in a single hour, and then never return to the site. No. I don't like that shit.
-Artist is a dick, (i'd drop a name, but i don't feel like being a 1 man army, again.)
this wasn't one of those "i'm unfollowing everyone, comment to stay followed!" post you see on twitter. this was me curating who i followed, and who's art i want to see in my submissions folder.
witch leads me into my next seque
I, both as an artist, and as a person, feel some artist just don't care as much. they don't space out their post, they don't consider how they may effect the front page if they post 50 arts at once, they just do it, and don't care. i've seen artist on Itaku just throw art into the either, and let their fans tag it for them. it's lazy. Minimal tags are still better than just letting someone else do all the work for you. it just upsets me. Even beyond art sites. In discord servers, some people don't respect others art, and just instantly post over their art, witch pissed ME off, cause i want everyone to feel like they matter. it's much worst when someone post something, and no one cares.
100% fuck people who just drop art, and leave. interact! tag your post! show people you actually care about those who want to see your art, and support you. "i don't have time for that!", said the bitch who had enough time to single out and start a witch hunt for a kid who traced their art. I may be shit at comunication, and slow to post art (mostly due to health issues, and tiredness), But i still always try my best to say hi to people, and admire the art of my friends.
Being an artist is more than just drawing the biggest tits on the site so people will throw more money at you. I'm ashamed to call myself an artist because that means i'd have to share a title with the soulless bastion's who only seek to further their gains.

I noticed a drastic shift in their personality, and knowing who they were, it caused me to be extreamly concerned for their wellbeing, and safty, as we went from daily conversations to short responces, dragged out over a long period of time. the reason for this behavior i would learn after the fact, is that she had aquired a new target, one who wasn't as keen on picking up on her tricks, and exploitations, as i had already brought to light multiple instances of gaslighting, and manipulative tendancies, having to go back into the chat logs to find information i knew was true.
She would set up situations, and let them grow into problems when they could easily be snuffed out with almost no effort. She would let problems brew, and fester, instead of addressing them immidiatly. (not everyone has the forsite to see issues, and stop them, but she had acknowlaged them, and ignored me concerns regarding those issues when i brought them up.) She either wanted to be the victim, or was so helpless, and unwilling to adress matters in her life, that it would boil over and start a fire she's let ruin her, and pout about it.
When she found her new target, she decied to keep me on a baited line, in an attempt to have a "rebound" should her new target fall through. concequently, i'm a decent friend who keeps an eye on my friends, and i notice shifts in behavior, and personality. I kept messaging them, trying to check to see if they were alright. and i got snapped back at vicciously. Being told i was the reason she was depressed, and that i was the problem.
after begging for my friend back, as they kept implying they were going to cut ties with me, and crying cause i didn't want to lose a good friend, they relented, and forced me to go 2 weeks without messaging them at all, or they'd end it.
the week leading up to those two weeks, i was reliving my prior trauma with an old friend. losing a friend i held dearly because i was too concerned for them, feeling like a monster. I went 3 years trudging through life feeling like shit regarding my first friend, only for them to crop back up multiple times, filling me with joy, before the illusion faded again.
1 week of repeating the same events as before, and 2 weeks of having no friends, or anyone i could talk to. speaking with no one, and having no one. She made me relive the worst part of my life again, for her stupid game, keeping me on a leash, and trapped. Abusing the information i gave her in confidence regarding my worst nightmare, and she used it against me in the end.
towards the end of those 2 weeks, stuck in my head, and unable to speak with anyone, or do anything other than move on auto piolit for weeks on end. sleeping my days away, drinking more than i should, something finally snapped within me. Ashe had been birthed into my mind, and filled me with hope, and strength. my chains had been broken, but the shackles of torture remained, weighing heavily on me. I was back into a healthier mindset, but still plauged by the horrendious thoughts. I was free, but still prisioner. Ashe's design reflected this. brown fur on her ankles, and wrist, and a final band across her chest, ment to act as restraints. Ashe helped drag us out of the hellhole of emotinal torment, and peice togeather all of the peices in our head, finally snaping us out of the games we were being forced to play.
She brought clarity to our eyes, and we understood we hadn't done anything wrong, but were being forced to partake in a cruel game, as her emotinal support battery, that she didn't need anymore, cause she found a newer, better model she could drain dry.
Once the two weeks ended, i messaged her nervously, seeing things had returned to more or less, the normal state of affairs. She mentioned that a friend of hers cut her out of his life, and upon expressing my sympathies, She responded in a ugly mannor, implying she was only telling me because i asked, and it was "just a obligation".
I still remember standing at work in the warehouse, reading that sentence. angry, but needing answers. making sure there would be no recourse on her end of things (not like she could do anything, she had shared just as much information as me, but i am more willing to sorch the earth, and burn the world to get back at 1 person who wronged me. Am i evil? eh, idk. is it evil to return the favor of someone trying to blackmail you?)
In my infinite wisdom, and masqurading as the Personification of Ashalynna, as i was still too mentally unstable to be my normal self, and Ashe had forced herself into the forefront of my mind, I decied to look into the matter of her friend who had cut her out of his life, as i knew they were close friends, and he had a crush on her (i kinda stole her from him accidentally, but i ended things as soon as i saw the red flags).
He ended his 7 year friendship with her, because she told him what she was doing to me the previous weeks, and talking bad about me behind my back, claiming i was an emotinal burden, and "just a chore" she had to deal with; amoungst other accusations, and cheating on him in their previous relationship. He had filled me in so much, my eyes were clear, and i was ready to act. At first, i wanted revenge, and to make them suffer for what they'd done to me, But i settled with just cutting them out of my life, in the exact same manor that her previous friend had done to her.
Just like that, i was free, and my mental state improved IMMIDIATLY. I informed her ex friend what i had done, and he wished me well, as did i to him. I informed her current toy to be careful of her, but he never responded (i assume i just got labeled as the crazy ex, and they're despreate for love just like i was.)
i lost nothing of value that day. She lost me; the person who actually listened, and remembered, and would do anything for a friend.

Hope you can see why i love ashe so much :3 She saved me, and i'm glad she was born in that instance to save me from my darkness.

Ashalynna's Birthday event (9/15)
Posted 2 years agoTo celebreate 1 year of Ashalynna/ashe's exsistance as one of our more beloved OC's, We are treating her right with a series of artworks, as she isn't drawn nearly as often as she deserves to be.
What dose this entail? (Not much tbh) :P A 3 chapter story spread across 3 heartfealt artworks building up too a finalle on the 15th, but more so:
- Ashalynna being the First OC to properly receive an introductory story, conveying more of their Lore, and explaining the character in more depth than has been shown thus far.
- a funny art for Ashe that i know 1 person will enjoy greatly (i'm looking at you Ale...)
- ending on her birthday with a lovely artwork, talking about ashe, and what she really means/dose for us.
I hope you'll enjoy the events we have in store. I wish i could do a larger event, but it'll all make sense when the final art is completed :3

Characters relations with each other
Posted 2 years agoA popular video explaining how character trios/groups should work made me really want to do this, since not all of my characters share art, or have had art togeather.
So, i decied to make a character relations chart showing how all of the characters relate to one another in terms of who they are, and what their friendship is about, or what their relationship is. If you can't easily determing what a characters relationship with another is, or it is really hard to tell, then that character may be a bit too hard for readers to properly comprehend (in terms of stories, and stuff, idk, i'm not smart.)

Character's eye colours, colour the word that they coraspond with, while following the line leading to the character it is linked to.
Example: "Clock's grey eyes colour the word "Gaurdian," while Iris's green eyes colour the word "Bastion". As clock is the gaurdian of Iris, but iris is a bastion for clock should he need refuge."
In the case of Destiny and Elizabeth, they both colour half of the words, as they both share the same feelings towards one another.

Pikachu phone charging math
Posted 2 years agoBased on Pikachu's Minimal/maximum HP values at level level 50 pikachu's are in theory more effective batteries, assuming their HP is reduced when power is aquired (wether through fatuige, or getting slapped with a phone repeaditly cause your a monster, and have a cordless phone)
Assuming 2% phone battry life is gain per pikachu hp used, without feignting the pikachu:
level 50 min stat: 188% battery charge
level 100 min stat: 358% battery charge
Level 50 max stat: 282% battery charge
level 100 max stat: 546% battery charge
level 50 pikachues are effectivly 5% more energy effective at minimal stats, and 3.2% more energy effective at max stats....
So a level 50 pikachu with 0 EV/IV invested into HP is the most energy efficiant pokemon in terms of Battery power, in the senario sapping electricity cause HP loss/fatuige....

Bluesky is weird
Posted 2 years agoFrom what i've seen, you have to be invited by someone who already is on blue sky... But what if people chose not to invite other artist friends to keep all the fame to themselves, and accellerate their growth by curating who is allowed in? keeping their compotition out of the site, and stuck on "a sinking ship", while they get to run away free with less concern regarding other popular artist taking away their attention?
Am i the only one who thinks it's a dumb idea? letting your users chose who is allowed in, but not letting anyone else in regardless of if they want to be there..... So your just creating an echo chamber of popufurs, and the lucky few who snuck in....
I'm not changing my sites, i just found it weird that they're opperating like that. Sucks for people who genuinly wanna use it tho.

Don't give them the easy way out, make them bear that weight on their shoulders... They want it, they better earn it.

anyways, in real art tips, the "Fuzzy wand select" tool (the magic wands looking icon), can be set to select based on a certain layers, aswell as certian colours. This makes selecting spesific areas easier. No need to lasso tool the area you want, when you can just Fuzzy select based on colour, and deselect excess areas :3

Clock's Wings: Heart
Posted 2 years agoHeart (Current name), Self named after binding itself to Clock, is a Manufactured parasitic magic artifact created by a underground organization with the express purpose of "Justice". Latching itself to a host, it merges with their soul, connecting them to their Mind, Body, and Spirit, acting as a secondary entity within them
When Heart's current Host expires, it will seek a new host immediately, binding itself to them where it will remain dormant as it studies it's host. When a new host is chosen, Heart will create a new set of Fragments to store the information it collects on it's host along side precious host, allowing it to emulate them in the future if needed, and to better align itself with it's current host, and determine what is the best Weapon, and Gift it can bestow upon emerging.
Once emerged, Heart will bestow the host a Weapon that is best suited for them, and a Gift to assist them in the task of enacting justice, as Heart is not able to function alone. These Weapons and Gifts are stored along side the Fragments used to emulate the host, and can be passed on to new host should the Prior owner of those tools deem them worthy in their eyes. Heart has no say in weather a Fragment will allow itself to be used, However, the Mixing of Gifts and Weapons is possible, But only 1 Weapon, or Gift can be provided by Heart at any Given time, Due to these constructs being forged from the same Fragments that hold all information Heart has gathered.
While not truly Heart, the Constructs are a physical manifestation of "Heart", should it take physical form outside of it's host for any reason. Despite being physical weapons, they are still "Heart", If Heart is used to strike someone, Heart can, and will resonate with them briefly, trapping them in a small fragment of itself, where Hearts host can, if they so chose to, exhaust their target through differing means to prevent them from taking any other actions within the real world. However, Should Heart determine they are innocent when the host attempts to strike down a target, Heart will dissipate, and strike down it's current host to ensure Justice is upheld, seeking a new host immediately as a result.
Victims trapped inside "heart" along with the host will sustain no physical damage, But will experience all mental, emotional and Physical side effects equally within their own bodies once Heart releases them. If they got Cut, their arm with ache, without being cut. If they ran 3 miles straight, they will feel the same level of exhaustion after being released, despite not having ran in the real world. The World created while trapped inside Heart is based on both Host, and Target, as well as the mental state of both parties.
