Hihi everyone, Cody here! I'd like to start posting a monthly list of birthdays but in order to do that, we need to know your birthday! Hey everyone, Cody here. After a bit of deliberation we've decided to cancel our mascot drawing contest due to lack of interest. Not a worry, we'll plow on without a mascot! To the two that already drew for it, note me and I'll draw you something for your troubles. We may try to do something in the future but many people are busy this time of year so for now we're gonna ease up on contests and events and just chat and have fun. This isn't to say we won't have any impromptu to-dos when there's enough people around, but we wanna focus on making chat more active and fun!

Also! Since it was never officially announced: Our End is Neigh event was last Saturday and our new server world is now up and running. We are again running Vanilla Minecraft v1.5.2 with keepInventory on and mobGriefing off. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact either Cody or Yuki. Mine on!

After a bit of deliberation we have decided not to hold the End event on the weekend before Halloween due to the likelihood that many will be attending Halloween parties on that day instead. We're going to move it up a week and hold the event next Saturday, the 19th of October instead. The time will be the same, but we're going to have it a week early instead. The End is neigh! Err....nigh! Prepare, cubs, for we will be facing the Ender Dragon! Get your armor, weapons, and potions ready. Please show up around 9:30PM EST on Saturday, October 19th and we'll start the fight at 10:00PM EST so people have time to join. Yuki9689 (CadburyCreme3gg in Minecraft) and Redfox5813 will be leading the attack on the dragon. Make sure to be there on time! If you're not, we'll leave without you. Don't worry, though. If you show up late, we'll provide a TP to the fight.

Remember, we're all working together on this, so please don't PvP and listen to what other people have to say. If you have splash potions that everyone will benefit from, use them on as many people as possible. That being said, there's no need to take things too seriously. This is all about having fun, after all!

After the dragon is defeated, we'll be starting a new world. The current world will be saved, but it won't be the one running. We may include some mods this time around, but the details still need to be worked out. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. I'd like to run FTB Ultimate or Lite, so please try these modpacks and let us know how well you can run them. We don't want to go with FTB if it limits who can play.

TCC Mascot Design Contest

In light of the Quickdraw event held yesterday, we have decided to hold a longer contest to design a mascot for our chatroom and for use in future long-term contests (depending on how well this one works out). We will be not be judging by skill level, so feel free to enter even if you feel you are not a great artist, but all entries must be fully colored (either digital or traditional accepted).

The contest will run starting from Monday, October 7th, 2013 to Sunday, November 3rd, 2013, giving everyone around a month to get their drawings in. People can join at any time, but all entries must be in by November 4th at 12 AM PST (Pacific Standard Time) to be counted.

To join, please comment on this journal saying you'd like to enter. You will be added to the list of participants. If, for some reason, you need to drop out of the contest at any time, please let one of the mods know as soon as possible.

Guidelines

Mascots may be any species or gender. Feel free to get creative with your design, but try to keep things simple so that they can be easily drawn in future contests.

Mascots can be any age from toddler to pre-teen.

Try to keep things general towards being a cub, and don't focus too heavily on the more fetishy aspects.

Mascots may be portrayed in diapers as long as they are not depicted as used.

Images must be G-PG rated (basically, nothing showing naughty bits or yiffy acts involving cubs).

Remember, have fun!

Prizes

1st prize – (default, as long as we get at least 3 entries) A fully-colored and shaded pic by  ollie-ottsenfree (2 character maximum, simple background), and your design will be used as TCC's official mascot.

2nd prize – (6 entries) A flat-colored pic done by  ollie-ottsenfree (2 character maximum, simple background)

3rd prize – (10 entries) A free sketch done by  codytehfox (1 character maximum, simple background)

Greetings cubs! It's been a couple months since we had a chat event, so I'm glad to announce we'll be having another quickdraw contest next weekend on Saturday, October 5th at 8pm EST (GMT - 5:00)! If you didn't go to the first quickdraw contest, here's how it works: Once everyone is ready to go we will give a theme for all contestants to draw. We will then give everyone 15-20 minutes to draw a picture based on said theme, upload it, and provide a link. Each entry will then be judged based on how well it fits the theme. We'll do approximately 4-5 rounds and the winning submission from each round will be posted on the fa group. The themes won't be given out until the contest begins so that everyone is on an even footing.

On another note, is considering setting up a movie night next month and would like ideas for what to stream. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment here or send them directly to him. We will have more information on that as soon as we can.

Hello everycubby, hope you have something fun planned for your Labor Day. ^^

Last night we ran into some severe lag issues on the Minecraft server. Despite having a mere three people on, lag was such that the game was nearly unplayable so we started looking into the issue and discovered that the latest version of Minecraft is to blame. Their most recent update (1.6.2) included substantial changes to how zombies work which has also demanded more from processors and was the cause of the server lag last night.

For this reason, we have restarted the server on version 1.5.2 so that we don't run into this problem anymore and can continue to enjoy (hopefully) lag-free gaming. What does this mean for you? If you are using the latest client version of Minecraft, you won't be able to join the server. You'll need to install the 1.5.2 client from the download page of the Minecraft site which can be found at the bottom. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we felt this to be the best solution because lets face it, laggy games are no fun. As always, please feel free to send any questions/thoughts/concerns to an administrator so we can continue to make your experience great.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, do we have an announcement for you! We have been at work all week setting up a Minecraft server and are now ready to open it up to everycubby! Yuki is going to be the lead administrator for the server, so any thoughts and/or concerns can be sent to him via note on deviantArt: http://yuki9689.deviantart.com/ If he's not available, any other administrator might be able to help too. :) Anyone that plays on TCC's Minecraft Server is expected to follow the rules outlined below, which can also be found on the group page here and in the Chat Rules on deviantArt. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or problems, and have fun!

Minecraft Server Rules:
-Griefing will not be tolerated. That means no stealing, no destroying property, no going TNT crazy, no building into other peoples' property. No building in other peoples' property, etc... That being said, if you don't want people stealing your stuff, invest in an Ender Chest. They are tied to you personally; the contents can't be taken by anyone else. If the chest is destroyed, you can still access it from another Ender Chest.
-Keep PvP to a minimum. PVP is allowed and keepInventory is on. That means you won't lose anything is someone kills you. However, if you're asked to stop by somebody, then stop.
-Use TNT sparingly. You don't need to use TNT for every trap. It's not needed in mining. Just please be careful with it. TNT can cause lag, so don't make a bunch of TNT just to set it all off at once.
-Keep things in check. Anything causing the game to be unplayable will be destroyed, so please make sure whatever you build won't lag out the server.
-Inappropriate structures and signs will not be tolerated.
-All the TCC chat rules apply.

A few requests:
-Please stay away from The End and the Ender Dragon. If you happen to find a stronghold, give the coordinates to an opped player. You may loot the stronghold, but don't go into The End. I want as many people as possible to fight the dragon at the same time. That way, everybody gets a chance.
-Please cut down the whole tree. We don't need floating trees everywhere. It's just annoying.
-This is a survival server. Please don't ask the ops to spawn you anything. Don't ask to go into creative. It won't happen.
-Have fun! There's no point if it's not fun!

Minecraft fans rejoice! We are working on our very own TCC Minecraft server! After a few requests to do so, I (Cody) am currently working on getting one up and running. There aren't too many details to discuss just yet, but I can tell you that I plan on hosting the server 24/7. Please bear with me while I figure this out; hosting a MC server is a new concept for me. Any questions/comments/suggestions can and should be noted to me. Apart from that you can expect the server to be live by the end of the week.
