Update from my last journal about the book project! I have officially finished the initial renders so it should be all done apart from some minor edits they may have for me, but the bulk of it is complete. Meaning I can get back to work on my regular scheduled commissions and patreon rewards!

To everyone who ordered a 75er, I will be sending invoices mid-week and starting afterward! I want to get caught up on my patreon stuff and some of the Ko-fi sketches still left. Thus, why I gave the start date for the 25th on the post!

I am working on a book project for someone and have been over the last couple months. Just recently though I was finally given the all clear to start the rendering process on the illustrations so now I am kind of in lock-down mode.
I will be finishing commissions placed already but I may not be accepting many more for a short time, at least until August 18th when the deadline is. I'm putting a hold on some of my other side-projects too so I can devote more energy into this.
In the meantime though, I'll be mostly without income and am trying desperately to catch up on a couple medical + car repair bills and preparing for more taxes soon.

Per my precious journal, I have successfully relocated but am struggling with some various complications (heaters aren't working and car is not arrived yet) and I have no wifi currently. I'm on limited funds and trying to quickly get setup so I can resume life as normal here but I'm facing challenge after challenge.

I'll spare the majority of details, since I would prefer to keep this private as possible. I am relocating to another state that is less problematic and has better opportunities. Wasn't an easy choice and I'm extremely stressed, but current events have encouraged me to not wait any longer, so I'm taking the chance.

I'll be offline for a bit once the move itself occurs--and an announcement will be made, alerting clients of my brief absence--but I don't have exact dates set quite yet. It's happening rather quickly and strangely lol Current estimate will be sometime late Feb/early March.

Trying to be excited more than sad about it. As a friend of mine always says; it's an adventure! ✨

I'll be updating a couple of things in my ToS (very small) and possibly some price adjustments to improve my work flow, but for now the new schedule has been helping a lot and I intend to maintain it long as possible. :)
There's a lot of uncertainty floating around after the recent US election and I'm anxious about the future. Things are going to change. Some things are going to be out of our control. Immediate, hard choices may be coming down the road. All of which I am not exactly prepared for, but must face.

Equally, things have set into perspective as I look back on the last year, and my life in general, honestly.... Coming to terms with where I'm at, what I've accomplished, where I want to be...

I've spent a unhealthy amount of time working. Placing my value and happiness in what I could achieve with my work/income rather than actually living life. I need to change this while I'm still young, capable and full of life to live. I want to experience more things and visit places.
Explore other parts of the world beyond JUST work. Some big goals of mine are:

() Travel more! From going to some furry conventions, camping, car camping, hiking, road trips, museums, perhaps even visit another country for the first time.

() I also want to put more energy into socializing, meeting people and actually looking for a partner (a manly boyfriend/husband) I've not bothered very much with dating all these years. I "didn't have time" because of work. But I am ready now to find that special someone for me, who I know is out there. I know it'll be tricky with me being a transguy, but I'm a catch, once you get past the anxiety lol 😁

() Finish my rig! I've already begun aspects of this with the boxtruck conversion build I started and an excited to continue/mostly complete it next year

() Enter some equine sports that are of interest to me. To really show for all my training, conditioning and work I've put into my horsemenship. Also get a horse trailer finally haha

() Keep working on improving my fitness and health. I've already started this and want to reach for the stars :)

() Make more personal/War Demon/paleo art for myself. Sort of goes without saying but I want to improve my style/skills and produce more personal pieces.


That's the most of it for now, but I want to also thank everyone for being so supportive and kind throughout the last year. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate every favorite/comment and knowing that I bring others joy through my art. THAT is what this is all about 🥺

I'll not get dreadfully into the situation, but I doubt it'll come as any surprise to those sensible living within the US. Recent news has shaken me tremendously, and put into perspective many aspects of my life and circumstance. Everything I'd been working toward... Sacrificed for... dreamed about and planned over the years is at great risk and I'm still struggling with picking up the pieces. Facing many large life changes with little time to prepare.

Reflecting what I mentioned already on Bluesky and to my patrons: I'm going to try and stay positive and focused as possible. Current plan is to continue working fulltime as an artist. My dream. I've sacrificed and devoted more of myself into this skill than anywhere else. It means the world to me.
The future looks uncertain, and I know people are worried/scared. We've got to stick together. Support other artists/creators now more than ever, not corporations or large businesses. Things are about to get very difficult, so please look out for each other.

I'll be offering commissions of various types along with ko-fi doodles and my patreon is always open. But I also want to do more artist shout-outs + signal boosts for others, so keep an eye for those.
I would not be here without this support from all my wonderful routine clients and pals and this community. You all have kept me alive... You allowed me to live out this dream of mine thus far.

I already announced this to my patrons, but wanted to ensure it was done publicly across the board for the sake of transparency and information going forward.
I have a new work schedule I'll be trying out! This is intended to enhance my work/life balance and hopefully improve my burn out + mental state with clear, assigned days "off" and "clock in" times.

COMMISSIONS:

Going forward (until stated otherwise) I'll be taking commission slots and streaming the work process a few days a week. 4PM CST for between 2-4 hours each. Patrons get first dibs through my discord server but after that, they'll come here publicly for claiming.

⭐ Tuesdays
⭐ Thursdays
⭐ Saturdays (or Sundays)

Most likely I'll focus on one commission slot per stream--but depending on overlap--I'll work on multiples during every stream. The days will not be 100% assigned to a client, nor first come > first serve exclusively. They'll be fluid for the sake of my work flow. :)
Each Sunday/Monday I'll open slots and fill them accordingly. But I may also book out two weeks in advance simply to ensure there's less chance of hiccups, since these are time sensitive.


OTHER ART:

All patreon art/YCH content will be worked on during these days also, prior to the evening streams. Personal art + adopts will be primarily worked on during "off days."
Now I may swap around Patreon/YCHs/adopts/personal art stuff here and there, but will be sticking to this schedule pretty closely.

My YCHs will all be increasing their expected turn around time from 7-14 days to 7-20 instead. Allowing me more time to work on them between everything else but not going overboard.

I come with bad news this time... Unfortunately I'm experiencing a cluster of persona and health issues all clamoring together at once. Don't think they got the memo that I'm burnt out and on my last legs. Or maybe they did, I don't know.
Regardless, there are going to be delays in orders for everyone. Not exactly sure how long, but I'm going to give myself a little extra time and say a week. Since I can't afford that much time to slow down already, but I need it. I deeply... Deeply apologize. This is not normal behavior for me and is exclusively due to what is going on right now. I'm just not doing well.

I'll be working best as I can to get orders to people sooner than later, I just ask for patience if I need longer.

I've been making plans for big changes in 2025, meanwhile I am encountering a lot of stress as a result. Over finances and general time management. It's a massive undertaking and I haven't been sleeping very well + keep getting bad news.
This morning I woke up just feeling... VERY off. I hope I am not getting sick. Wasn't overly productive as a result. Therefore I am going to take an additional day for all current projects. Unfortunately I have not really been able to rest properly, due to needing to continue working, so I am pushing on, just moving very slow and hope for patience.


Next week commission slots will be opening Sunday/Monday as usual, but may start a day later, too, as a result.

Wanted to spread some love and joy for this wonderful kickstarter campaign that is simply too sweet and precious to pass up. I don't know about anyone else, but when I was a kid, I loved beanie babies and had about 3 of my own that meant the world to me.
I used to always wish--however--they had more dinosaurs and a variety of them. So this whole project is a childhood dream, so to speak, realized by an incredibly skilled artist/small business. :)

Real fast, I moved my horses to a new barn with more riding space and I'm **incredibly hyped** it's 300 acres of nature and places to explore. I can already see many beautiful locations and details. That being said, however, I may be a little slower next few days due to getting them settled and on a new feeding schedule.

I've been making a few sketches like this recently and loved the process + results. Colored rough shaded sketches. They'd be sketchy so likely around $50 - $80 full body depending on complexity. Maybe even done on streams, since I've been back to those.

I apologize for another journal so soon after the last one, but this is a more serious topic and is effecting my life/workload so I wanted to provide information...

This last Thursday (directly following my trip) I spent most of the day in the ER. This entire ordeal has been very frightening and puzzling.
Woke up Thursday morning feeling completely fine and normal besides experiencing loss of sensation on the right side of my body. From head to toe, just *less* sensation. Not necessarily numbness or tingling. Almost as if there was a very light sleeve over my entire right side, split down the middle.
Additionally, my hearing was very poor out of my right ear (though that has improved some by now)
I checked into the ER at 10AM and was discharged by 6PM.
They preformed oodles of tests and took my condition very seriously, which I am grateful for.
CT scan, MRI (both with/without contrast) urine and blood tests, X-rays of my chest, X-rays of my eyes (to ensure I was fine for the MRI) EKG, constant blood pressure and oxygen monitoring.
None of these tests showed any indication I had damage from a stroke, nor that I was currently having one, despite the persistent loss of sensation I experienced throughout the entire day + am still experiencing now.
My coagulation and thrombosis both were within normal ranges. My RBC and WBC counts were in normal ranges.

The whole ordeal has been extremely frightening and my anxiety is through the roof... Not only for obvious health reasons, but I also just returned from a week-long long trip where I took time off work with no income. The unfortunate reality of beings self-employed and not being able to afford insurance... Gotta love it. 🥴
I'm genuinely not sure what this is, perhaps a pinched nerve? I'm hoping nothing more serious... I'm relieved it doesn't appear to be a stroke, but I'm worried it may progressively get worse--or at the very least, not improve without any answers as to why... I am going to be scheduling a follow up with the neurologist today now the holiday weekend is over (the office was--of course--closed Friday.)

Now, I'm trying to remain productive and I apologize for responding slower to everything. Only took one commission this week to work on slowly and may put some adopts up. But they recommended keeping myself physically moving (not excessively) and limiting stress/lowering my anxiety, so that's become my primary focus.
