Commissions closing (for a little bit)
Posted 5 years agoHowdy howdy! School is just around the corner for me, which means less time and energy to work on commissions. I'll be closing them preemptively for the time being, but I might reopen them within a few weeks if my workload doesn't seem too bad. \o/
I'll still be working through my current queue! Just no new ones until I know I'll have enough time to get to them, haha

Slight delay; computer had a whoopsie

Just makin a quick note here since I announced this on twitter but not here, haha;; Last...monday? or tuesday? My computer decided it didn't want to boot past the boot-up screen, soooo I haven't had access to it for about a week now. It's getting worked on, and most of my files are A-OK, so don't worry about that! I also am extremely lucky that we had a spare computer I've been able to use, and it's been just fine.
The biggest hit to me was my Clip Studio Paint settings and brushes are, uh, gone. Most of them had custom settings and I was a big dumdum and didn't keep a record of all the settings I needed, so now everything feels very off and it's not great ;v;
I've been doing my best to adjust the settings back to...at least something useable, and trying to practice with them so hopefully they stop feeling too terrible ;v;'' I really didn't want to work on commissions again until I had access to my old computer (and hopefully old settings) again, but it's lookin like it'll be takin a lot longer than I anticipated so I'll be startin work again very soon.
So that's where I've been, sorry about the delay! ;<; I'll do my absolute best to still meet my quality standards!
(this is also why my streams stopped, though I'll try to see if I can do anything about that since if this is gunna be a more long term thing I really do wanna stream again ;_; )

COMMISSION UPDATES
A few prices have been updated and options have been added!
The prices for shaded and painted mawshots have been bumped up slightly to reflect the increase in time I've been spending on internals.
Internals with prey have increased in price across the board, significantly more in the shaded and painted area. Same as the mawshots, this is to better reflect the actual time spent rendering internals than the previous prices reflected.
The prices for micros are no longer variable, and are now flat rates!
And in terms of new options, I am now offering mirrored mawshots and internals at a discount!
Mirrored mawshots are 25% off, and mirrored internals are 20% off!
You may also notice my stream commissions are missing from the form, but don't worry! I am now only taking stream commissions while I am streaming. Instructions on how to get one can be found on my picarto!!
Finally, I am discontinuing my practice sketch commissions I've been taking on my side account,
thescribblychicken . Now that I am offering sketches in my general commissions, I don't need sketch commissions to be separate! As it says in the form, I'm open to a lot more than vore, don't be afraid to get a general com without it! :D

I just went through and marked almost all of them under "Mature."
It's a decision I've been thinking about for a looooong while, and kept going back and forth on. I initially didn't do so because other vore artists I was following marked theirs as General, and I thought that was just the norm for FA. (the same thing going for other things i consider "SFW fetishes" like inflation/macro/micro/etc;; the consensus seemed like "if there's no nudity or Sexual™ Things™ Going™ On™ then it's General") The reason that I mostly held onto to justify my own ratings was my own complicated relationship with NSFW content in general. To me, my stuff isn't explicit, or sexual. It's for adults, clearly, but it's not NSFW. There's no nudity, there's no (what I would consider to be) sexual arousal or (what I would consider to be) sexual acts. Combine that with my extreme sex/NSFW repulsion, and not wanting my own art to be in the same category as nudity or (what I would consider to be) Actual Sexual Content™....it didn't help my thought process much.
I kept trying to find a more concrete ruling for the acceptable upload policy, but the wording isn't really helpful for determining what my work would fall under. (and again, is very hard for me to make sense of since, to me, my stuff isn't 'excessive' or explicit!) The phrase "for the purposes of eliciting arousal" kept being used for mature/adult work when people discussed the rules, but again, that's not how I see my work! (Though I understand, for others, they would disagree)
The thing that finally let me convince myself to do this was...I started finding a few people who were watching me who were underage. I'm not comfortable with that, at all. My stuff (on this account, at least) is for adults, and adults only. I do not want anyone underage looking at my stuff.
And it, uh, kind of hit me...."hey!!!!!! dummy!!!!!! if you dont want kids to look at your stuff you shouldn't let that be a thing they can do!!!!!"
So that was, uh, kind of the final nail in the coffin for me. Even though I wish FA was an 18+ site, that doesn't make it so, and is not a good justification for marking my stuff as General.
My stuff will for now on be marked as Mature! Sorry for the inconvenience, fellow people who only like to use SFW even though they are an adult themselves x_x;;;; But this'll be a huge weight off my shoulders.

I'm FINALLY done repricing my coms and making a new form, which will be opened later today!!
There are a LOT more options than there were previously, so I hope everyone can find something that works for them!
I'll be taking about 5 slots to start, and depending on how long it takes me to get through them, I might have more/less slots available in the future! (my ideal would be "infinite" slots, taking them as they come in, but I do NOT want to overwhelm myself and need to make sure I can handle the workload)
but uh yeah just wanted to let yall know to be on the lookout! 👀👀👀👀

Instead of a first-come-first-serve system of noting me, I'm going to try out a form-based way of accepting commissions!
The form has more details, but the summarized version: I will collect responses/ideas from the form and pick the ones I want! No more first-come-first-serve, no more huge rush. Hopefully those who have missed my openings at the past will have a chance to get picked!
Unfortunately, this also means that...not everyone can get picked. Filling out a form does NOT guarantee you have nabbed a spot. If I pick your idea, I'll send you a message to hash out details even more. When I've contacted everyone, I'll update this post so you wont be left hanging in the dark on whether or not you were chosen!
I don't know exactly /how/ long I'll be keeping this open, depending on the amount of responses! I'm thinking around one or two days, maybe longer? Don't feel rushed to answer right away, but don't assume it'll be there a week later! XV

This is the summer that keeps on giving, apparently. I've had a lot more going on than I had anticipated, which, for the most part, is good! I just got to see my best friend for a week and am now going to be leaving for two weeks to spend time with my dad/sister, all of whom I only see on a yearly basis. And while these are things I'm very happy to do and am so glad I'm able to do...it's not exactly the easiest task to draw complex fetish art while spending time with people/on a small tablet surrounded by family. >___>;;;
I VERY much want to continue streaming, and plan to do so at least once before I leave for my trip, but I don't think it's going to be a possibility during those two weeks. (I mean, I haven't /tried/ to stream from my tablet, but I assume it won't be the most pleasant experience, pairing with the whole 'surrounded by family' thing)
I'm about to be completely done with my current commissions....but I wouldn't feel good opening them up right away, as I know I won't be able to get anything close to my usual standard of quality while on my tablet, and I wouldn't wanna just have them sitting at the sketch stage for two weeks >_>
I've been bouncing some ideas around in my head, including but not limited to making some YCHs, offering a limited-time offer for sketches/messy pieces at a steeply discounted price, or even [gasp, horror!] maybe doing some non-fetish work on my general account. I really do need to make some money this summer still, and I really don't want to waste two more weeks that I know I'll have some downtime to take advantage of.
I'm not leaning too much in any direction in particular, but I'm flying in [looks at watch] 3 days so I really should think of something soon OTL I'm mostly just prioritizing my current commission to finish up before leaving before opening up any more projects.
But, uh, yall can leave thoughts if you want! o/ It's not super urgent or anything, mostly just thinking out loud since it tends to help me, haha
also, unrelated to anything I just said or anything about this account, but I finally went to a doctor about my sleeping problems + now have sleeping medication! and it works soooo well!!! ;_; turns out i wasn't just. doing sleep wrong. it's an actual medical problem that i now have actual medication for and it actually works?? i can just? go to bed now? it doesn't take 3+ hours of tossing around in bed to sleep???? ;___; im soooo happy....

Commission Revamp v2!

Yeah, it's been slow again, apologies! However, I've been workin on something very important: My commission prices!
My prices beforehand were based on time spent on my work over a year ago. While it was fine for that time, I have since then been spending more time on my work, adding more details and generally improving the quality (as i hope you guys can see). While improving your work is always good, it came with a downside: Time. I was spending so long on commissions I was working for 4-5 bucks an hour in the best of situations. ^^;;
I've been meaning to update my prices for a while, but I was really hesitant to, as I feel awful and nervous raising prices, especially by such a dramatic amount. However, I think these new prices are much, much more fair, since, after talking with many people and confronting myself about it, I was undercharging myself way, way too much. ;v;''
My updated prices can be found in my commission info tab as well as my commission info journal!
As you'll notice, they're much, much higher than previous. ^^;;; I'm so sorry for such a dramatic increase, but again, after I rip this bandaid of increased prices off, I think I'll feel much better for not undercharging for my work.
However, I do have plans in the works for some cheaper commissions! I may be doing in-stream commissions sometime soon! ;Y ( For those who caught my stream a couple weeks ago, it'll be around that quality and speed! :V ) It'll really depend on interest and time! (Which I'll soon have much more of since summer vaycay is barrelin towards us real soon >:D)

TOS update, possible prices update, streams?
Posted 7 years agoHowdy once more! Just a quick update to let yall know what I'm thinkin of right now.
My TOS has had a few minor changes! Most of it was updating how commission processes work, since many of these rules were made back when I didn't know how to approach it completely.
One bigger change for this blog specifically is a specification that I am not willing to draw human female predators. Although I am still willing to draw anthro/feral female preds (for now), human female preds are out of my comfort zone, sorry! ;v;''
And for the second part of this journal........new year, new prices! (i-it's still a new year!!;;; its not half past february already hahahA;;;;) Or, at the very least, it's a nice time for me to at least re-evaluate my prices, since I seem to be taking more time with each piece than I did previously. (resulting in me working for 2-3 hours on a $10 piece, which is....not the greatest ;v;'' ) Unfortunately, this is more than likely going to result in a price increase, which I hate doing, but hopefully overall higher-quality work will make up for it. I am not set in stone in my decision, but it will be clearly announced if it does happen. I may even make one of those fancy commission-sheet things since those are usually nice + clear with prices........but at the same time, they're hard to do small updates on. [thinking emoji]
As I said, I'm still thinking about it overall! u < u Any changes made (if any) will not affect commissions already paid for, as that would be unfair, obviously. Just thinkin for now! <3
Finally, I've been very heavily considering streams!! I feel as if they would be a good way to motivate me to work + focus, and it's always nice to have some company around. I'm very bad with drawing in front of people, but I'm sure the practice will do me nothing but good. I'm not sure if I'll ever do in-stream commissions, but I may be more open to it as I get more comfortable drawing on stream in the first place! @ < @
Would any of yall be interested if I were to stream? ;<; Again, I haven't fully decided whether I'm gunna or not (or if its even viable since our internet can be real shoddy) but, uh, you know! @<@/ Would be nice to know if people would be interested at all, hahA

What happened?
Uh, tl;dr: School bad, brain bad, but its ok now
Long answer: I had probably the most stressful semester of my life last fall. 14+ hours on campus two days, 4-5 hours for a night class two other days, plus an offline math class that took up about 7+ hours per week. Mon-Thurs I didn't even exist, and Fri-Sun were spent pretty much entirely on homework.
I know people have had much harder schedules, especially those that have part or full time jobs at the same time, but for me, this was way, way too much. xmx I was NOT in a good space physically or mentally. At all. I was subsiding off of couple hour naps in my car, about 90% fast food, and had so many nights where I came home, worked on a project, and was still working on/just finished a project by the time I had to leave again the following morning that I lost count.
So, uh, all that being said, I didn't have any time to even draw for myself, let alone for work, haha;;
However!! Things are much, much better now! The semester ended in December (that I sadly was fairly sick for the entirety of my break) and my current semester is 100% focused on me recovering from last semester while also giving me enough time to work, as, uh, I made pretty much no money last semester, which isn't the best thing. ^^;;;
I only have two classes that are much, much easier for me to handle, giving me more than enough time to work once again! I'm feeling much better now, and I'm enjoying being able to draw again sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much
I miss drawing vore SO MUCH............I can't wait to get back into it, hahA @ < @
(that being said.....................um..................my commission slots are finally open for anyone interested............. o<o;; sorry for the long long wait!!!!)

I'm so sorry I left yall hangin for so long, I didn't expect college to hit me that hard this semester.
The good news is, I am free for the summer!! Which means more content is well underway! (And has already been underway if you follow my doodle blog! ;Y )
And speaking of content underway, I now have a new commission type: Unpainted!
These pieces will be fully sketched, colored, and shaded, just not painted over like most of my things here. A few examples are on my doodle blog! ( Ex 1 | Ex 2 )
As a result, they are much cheaper!
Unpainted commissions start at $10 for a Bust, which still include mawshots!
Halfbodies are $15, and Fullbodies are $20! Extra characters are $5 each!
And speaking of cheaper prices, the rest of my commissions have been revamped! Find them here!
Some unnecessary offers such as Mouth and Stomach commissions have been removed, as 'unidentified' predators are more suitable for YCHs and the like. They can, of course, be commissioned by request!
"Cutaway" prices/addons have been removed for simplification! The only addon that stands are extra character addons.
And finally, prices have been significantly lowered across the board! I feel like these prices are more accurately tied to the amount of time needed to complete them. That being said, if these turn out to be too low, I may adjust them at a later date as I have now to find a happier medium. This will be clearly announced like this was, and anyone who might be in the process of commissioning me would not need to pay the updated prices! Thank you for understanding! ^^
The final purpose of this journal is a question!
As I'm officially offering unpainted commissions such as the examples above, would yall mind them being posted here as well? Or would you rather this blog be kept solely to painted pieces, and keeping the unpainted ones to my doodle blog?

i've been traveling and busy for the past week! i'm going to be out of state for about a month, but i'll try my best to squeeze in a few doodles every now and again! (im on a Huge pokemon kick right now so. Watch Out)
